Approached by a jogger as I neared the cache and so needed to wander on by before doubling-back. Thankfully, this was the only delay and the cache was soon in hand. My pen is starting to fail but it was still able to make my mark. TFTC and adventure.
Took the opportunity to grab a few more caches in the series after shopping at nearby Fountain GateOnly targeted the more easily found caches i.e. no recent dnf and those virtually clear of blackberry bushAll caches found in good conditionMany thanx to Pinkpiggy7
The last of this trail is now complete! Apart from 2 dnfs, we have found the rest over 3 separate visits. Tyftc and playing the series! Signed log.
I need to find caches in Casey on the 25th of the month for a couple of challenges I am working on so I decided to do a few more in this series - we last time I did a section on this trail was more than 8 years ago!Not reptile themed anymore but found quickly in the logical place.
FINALLY
this one has stumped me for years. I don't know why!! Geokid wanted to go out for a bike ride so I chose the route and found this one while we were at it. Took nothing but left a travel bug - reptile themed. Tftf

Doing our final section of the Hallam Bypass Trail, loving the themed caches. Followed the reptile footprints to this one and signed it quickly. Has it lost its reptile armour?

I think the cache is actually quite big compared to the description, and there is a pen inside TFTC
Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to Pinkpiggy7 for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

I wasn't prepared to go bush bashing today or to smell the smell of decay .... quickly signed the cache before scampering out.
Hoping to pick up a cache or two on the way home from an event .. lots of muggles about today .. the name of this cache together with the long grass was not encouraging.. nevertheless I carried on and found the cache without fuss. Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for placing the cache
Found with the geokids on a lovely Sunday arvo. We started this series maybe 7 years ago pre the smallest geokid…. Lol thought it was about time we finish it off. This trail runs right near the back of my house, can’t believe I’ve left it this long! Thanks for the cache.
Reptiles are not my friend but nice to find a cache after the last few DNFs..

What a miserable day to be outside… bring on spring! I caught up with Kristysadventures for an opportune stroll along this trail.
After 2 dnfs we were pleased to make a quick find here.
Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

Out for a walk on a sunny Melbourne day and picked up another couple of caches along this trail to fill another day on the caching calendar. Muggles were few and far between today and Mr Pooky made a relatively quick easy find. TFTC. TNLN.
To many people are finding our caches in breach of lockdown provisions, disabling until things are open again.
I’m trying to fill in some dates on my calendar so this one was today’s. I was on my own and I’ve lost my caching senses a bit over the last 18 months so I struggled, not helped by the logs saying it was a quick easy find . In the end it was an easy find, it just took a lot longer than it should’ve Cache was in great condition and in an obvious spot, just not what I was expecting so not where I was looking in the beginning.
Thanks Pinkpiggy7

My 2nd dnf for this one. Area now badly overgrown, so not keen on looking too far.
Found it quickly, but didn't see the relevance of the cache name. (In my mind, I was searching for something quite different).
Thanks for the cache, Pinkpiggy7.
Thanks for the cache, Pinkpiggy7.
Enjoying our ride today and having some good success so a very happy family. Another easy find. TFTC
Getting back on the trial to try and finish this great series, tonight was a perfect time for a walk after work so the geo hubby can put the stresses of the day behind him. Cache found, log signed, now off to the next one.
Thanks Pinkpiggy7

It's a beautiful warm afternoon so decided to go out with the geokids to pick up some easy caches along the Hallam Bypass Trail. Quick easy find. The little geokid was happy to see swaps available for trading. While he did his swap trades I signed the log.

This was a quick, local, evening sojourn for our daily geo-fix. A slippered Emeylo accompanied me to GZ, while the boys acted as a noisy smokescreen on the path in the fading twilight.
Standard procedure really!
Thanks Pinkpiggy7.
All is well here.

I did the vast majority of this series a few months ago and was in the area today with the task of finishing it off. A nice quick find here in the expected spot, TFTC!
Given the naming of these caches I was expecting a more reptilian container. An easy find. Thanks
Missed this on the way down the track but picked it up in the way back.
It has two log books in it. Strange.
In the interests of finishing 2018 without logs owing these logs will be somewhat generic, #sorry #notsorry #butkindofsorry.
Nearly three years ago Little Ruverbug and I, back near the beginning of our geocaching adventures put a call out on a social media geocaching site asking for recommendations for local trails of caches that were fun. A couple of people suggested PP7 Hallam Bypass Trail. So Little Ruverbug and I walked (she walked party and I pushed her in a pram part of the way) the western end. These caches were right at the end of our first 100 that we found.
Since then we've found another 600 including going to the centre of specifically for an event (and building a holiday around that).
Some of my all time faves have been PinkPiggy7 caches.
Thanks for placing and maintaining your ace caches PP7.
Maybe it's end of year nostalgia but you make caching in south east Melbourne fun.

Found at 1435 on a 'sometime between Christmas and the New Year' stroll with Muggle-L before we caught up with SirJ-Oz to tackle the few that he still had to do in the series.
A nice quick find by me while Muggle-L was distracted by a phone call - one of the downfalls of one's GPSr unit also being one's communication device!
All was well with the cache, although there were no reptiles inside, in sight or on-site, but that didn't get me off-side. Thanks Pinkpiggy7.

With my hayfever beginning to get the better of me, I held back and waited for Pmk49 to retrieve this cache. Tftc
This cache was surprisingly easy to find considering all the possible hiding places.

Took the boys for a ride and found our very 1st Cache. Dad got a bit to excited and saw it first. Learnt make sure the boys try and find it first. LOL
Found at 9:40 AM GAFF1.
Two log books in the cache, which usually means that both are being used rather than finishing off one and then starting on the other
Thanks Pinkpiggy7.

I had an errand to run in Pakenham this morning, and decided to stop off and grab a couple of caches on the way home.
This was another pretty quick find in the expected location.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.

Had a rare spare weekday afternoon and decided to target a few caches on the Hallam Bypass Trail and nearby. I was on the home stretch here with just four more to attempt in the series. I parked in a cul de sac trying to run the gamble of parking on someone’s nature strip or partially blocking the road. Once I got on the trail there were just a couple of passing walkers and this one was a pretty quick find. I singed and hurried on towards the next target. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache and the series Pinkpiggy7.

With the sun warming my back, I had a smile on my face as I finally got around to attempting to complete this series. It’s been a long while since I started and there were only 5 left to try. Thanks for the fun PP7
Had to wait a little while for some dog walkers to move on but quick and easy find after that. Tftc Pinkpiggy7
Always thought this series was on the freeway side but upon closer inspection discovered a path so with some time though I would have a go at some of these. Good series so far. Tftc
Another Quick find . Our 2nd after Lunch after a disappointing Morning .Thanks Pinkpiggy7
Having dropped the car at the local service centre I had a few hours to kill so what better reason for a walk. After taking a phone call and waiting for a muggle runner to pass by, I quickly detoured of the trail to gather the cache. The GPSr had me bouncing around some so best thing was to stop and let it settle. While waiting for this I turned slightly and found myself looking straight at the cache. Another good sized cache with room for stuff. After rummaging through the trinkets, I signed the log and re-hid the cache as found. TNLNSL. TFTC. Kkams.
And there's only a month to go on our streak! Yippee!!! As much as I love caching, trying for a cache a day, with work, school, the gym and Aikido, finding a cache every day has been a challenge... But we're so close... So very, very, close!

quick and easy find today for us

This one was a blue-tongue reptile - no legs. Which is a good thing, as the cache stayed put at GZ and required almost no hunting.
Out and back along the Hallam Trail trying not Bypass any caches, I covered just under 19km along the enjoyable track. After recent difficulties doing suburban trails this was a very welcome layout, with few muggles along the trail and no awkward placements outside schools and next to playgrounds. Just 3 DNFs (which is a good stat for me). And a great and witty mix of containers kept the interest levels high all the way.
Thanks for the cache and series, Pinkpiggy7.

After road tripping to Sale the day before and not having sufficient time for an adequately long walk I decided that I ought to pop down to this series of caches after work for a decently long walk. Almost every cache was found and most were in good condition.
Had to wait for 2 wheeled muggle to pass before I could scramble up to grab this cache. Brief search and located in short order. TFTC
Nice & close to the last one found. Easy circle from my house, to the caches, & back.
Went to the totally wrong place & all I could think of was snakes! For anyone coming here, they are around this area!
Set off a neighbours dog who's fence I could see right over. But in the end I persevered & found the treasure I was looking for.
Signed log

Another quick find had to duck and weev a bit to finally get to it but we soon had it signed and replaced tftc
What we had programmed into the Garmin was a little old, but a quick look at the phone and we found it much faster. Thank you for placing this cache here, sorry the original had to be relocated.
MontsII and myself decided to set off on this series this morning as he is in training for his next Camino. He tends to favour hilly walks, so I was surprised when he was willing to come this morning. We had a nice walk, only got started at by one muggle (we are not sure why as we were walking not geocaching when we seemed to attract her attention), and found some interesting caches!
