Sure we had the right spot, and found a likely hiding spot but no sign of a cache.
Correct, can confirm this is a very busy area, especially on Australia Day Keep walking...
Not too many muggles around cause storm's about to hit! Perfect conditions to cache on the bay trail!

Got dropped off at Sorrento and our aim was to walk back towards Rye trying to find as many caches as we could. We started searching but muggles coming out of the water forced us to retreat. After a bite to eat at Blairgowrie, we went searching again. This time we found our tenth and last cache of the day. Thanks for this series.
Found at 11:43 AM GAFF1 in the company of maccamob & Alansee.
A quick find after the long search for Shelter Me - thank goodness [xx(]
Thanks BorisB&Natasha

Found by Mary and David, in company with pprass and Alansee, at 11:45. Signed as MAP (Maccamob, Alansee, Pprass). Our second day on the Bay Trail. Much better weather today, having only one very brief period with a few spots of rain. Still quite windy, but we had a good run with all the BTR and BTU caches finished, and a few other caches added for good measure. As happened yesterday, quite a few of the caches took us quite a while to find, but we seemed to do better as the time passed. Our thanks to BorisB&Natasha.
Had a great caching day today with pprass and maccamob. We found everything today that we could have and only had one real PAF. It was a combination of great hides, some good finding, and sheer persistence!
Out on a caching blitz in this beautiful weather with AdrianB and Kristy’s Adventures. After being unable to find the previous one this one was a quick find. TFTC
Thank goodness for a quick find after not getting the last one. Lovely view at nearby chair watching the sunset at the beach
Found today on our Portsea to Rye Tour, that took us from the back beaches of Portsea, then through to the Portsea bayside. We then followed through Sorrento, Blairgowie and finished in Rye. Our day went from 11:00am through to 7:45pm. Some wonderful caches, placements and views on the way. Some easy, some easy that we made hard, a couple that were hard that we were lucky to make easy and quite a number that were just plain hard. Thanks to all cache owners for the wonderful day out from D & HA B-A
Found by Aussie Train Driver 22/09/2019, find number 1501.
A quick find today between passing muggles. Thanks for the cache!

Had some time today to head down the peninsula and try to knock off a few more of the bay trail series. I had left the car over at the shops so it was east enough to continue on foot form my last find. After a quick stop off to use the facilities I was heading to the GZ for this one. The strong hint made it a pretty straightforward exercise and I was pleased to find another fresh log that the CO had recently done maintenance on. My seventh find of fifteen for the day. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the the cache and this great series BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear.
We found this one. We had four hands attempt to access this log as it had been placed in a very inaccessible spot. Thanks to the kindness of the CO (and provided photographic evidence) we have permission to log this as a find.

Found with Crinklypear5. He found gz easily but had a case of cache blindness. I pulled it out right in front of his face log is full, found a spot to initoal MC and CP5. Tftc!
DNF. Unless I’m looking in the wrong spot which is always possible, but having used the hint, this one may have walked.
Had some time so popped out to find a cache or two in the BTU series . This one was nicely hidden from view .. but with logical thinking was an easy find. Thankyou to BorisB&Natasha & Nut Bear for creating and maintaining the BTU series .. I am looking forward to finding the others
Having a lovely day along this coastal path and the beach collecting some wonderful memories as I add some more smiles to my map. A quick find here TFTC BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear
~~{Bay Trail: The Almost-Finish}~~
Today was a day in which tyres get pumped and leg muscles complain in agony. The Bay Trail was being continued on bike. Surprisingly enough, after early-July's Portsea to Sorrento trip, we've almost completed the Bay Trail completely! And so the day went on with many stops, searches and stunning views on a series where every twig's a bison, every stone an army match container, and every cache needing more favourite points than I have to give!
A massive thanks to BorisBNatasha + Nut Bear for taking care of these phenomenal caches and giving us the odd hint when we need it!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's one sense of happiness to find a Bay Trail cache, it's another to find one that you've previously DNFed, thus a cry of joy went up (a silent one at that, people existed around us) at the sight of the cache that was neatly tucked away. Don't know how we didn't find it last time!
Just returned to Blairgowrie, had lunch and then had to look for a cache or two and there it was. Log full, need new paper.
TFTC! Took us a little while but trusted our first instinct and had to have a better look!
1st day of school holidays, taking the kids out to enjoy the sunshine TFTC
Scared off by rubbernecking muggles the first time, why must people be such busybodies? Found in on my return walk. An easy find leaning on the clue and walking around in the correct direction.
This one took us a while, as my phone kept pointing to the same place, but OzHockeyChick was being drawn to something else. We took a break to watch the 5 planes flying around in unison, was really cool and lucky we were at the right place at the right time.
Now, back to caching. It was found where OHC was all along. Thank you
There were a few people moving by so we had to plan our moment.
Fortunately it didn't take long to put this one to rest.
Thanks Boris&Natasha & Nut Bear.
Back home in Oz after five weeks in the UK and straight down to the Peninsula to thaw.
Had a coffee nearby and a brief walk to the beach for a bit of sand castle making. Found this one with my 7mth old GeoSon, his first ever cache . TFTC #556
Just arrived in Blairgowrie for a week’s holiday with the family. After settling in at our holiday home we all wandered down to the beach.
While we were there I took the opportunity to look for this cache. A reasonably quick find without too many muggles to avoid.
Thanks BorisB&Natasha for the cache and the series...I’m sure I will find more over the coming week.
Lovely day at Blairgowrie beach. It suddenly occurred to me that there might be geocaches around! I looked in the app, and voila! There was this whole trail! Thanks for the find BorisB&Natasha
What an unbelievably beautiful day to be bought here. Quite a few people around and currently sitting on the beach with the cache waiting for my opportunity to place it back amongst the muggles. Oh it's a hard life for some isn't it?
Today's weather mixed of showers and sunny - headed out for a hunt day/night at Portsea, Sorrento and Blairgowrie with crank1. Thanks BorisB&Natasha for bringing us here.
Caching day with pwala
The weather is up and down but we still enjoy ourselves.
Most of them are excellent hides which give us hard time to found it but we enjoy.
A quick find here, I was running out of time as my family had finished their outing and were about to leave to come get me! Time to smash out a few more in the series before I had to call it quits.
Ahh yes the Bay Trail! I remember this series from my last visit which I think was over a year ago. Today I have returned on foot once again to continue some of this trail! In total I covered about 9km of the coast with 34 finds and only 3 DNF's!! Which I thought was a massive effort given the difficulty of some of the caches. To be fair I did spent just over 5 hours making my way through them! Thanks to BorisB&Natasha + Nut Bear for one of the most impressive long distance trails I have come across
Find #8698
Out and about with my regular caching partner in crime SedgwickDave. Our primary target was the dozen or so BTU caches that we had yet to find and then any other cache that took our fancy. There was also the rule when we go caching together to find at least 3 cache types, just to mix it up a bit.
One of my favourite songs
Many thanks to BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear for the cache. TNLN.
Such a beautiful winters day to have a mini getaway beachside .. this was close to our accommodation and a nice quick find. TFTC
Walmont and I are a team to reckon with but we get cranky when we can't find a cache! Luckily this was an easy find. TFTC
Out caching with Missmash. Managed to avoid the muggles enjoying the beautiful day. Found cache without much trouble. Tftc
Found this one while staying nearby. I was looking in the dark and initially made it far harder for myself. Finally followed my gps to zero and then found cache immediately. Signed log and replaced it with a little more camouflage.
Thanks for the cache BorisB & Natasha and Nut Bear.
I spent a very pleasant morning cycling from Blairgowrie to the Information Centre at Dromana. I found most of the caches I looked for, but the odd trickier one escaped me. The philosophy of the day was to keep moving, anything that wasn’t found in a couple of minutes looking went unfound. Thanks to all of those who have put the effort into setting up and maintaining this series. Cheers and TFTC
We were going for a drive around the bay and across on the ferry and on the way home this was another break stop and this was the first time any caches were at a break stop so off I went to try and grab a couple of caches.
It was windy and chilly today but still a few people around being Easter but geokids were on to this one straight away after I read them the hint. Didn't really need to GPS with that hint.
Thanks Nut Bear & Boris&Natasha for the cache, the adventure the hunt and the fun.
Couldn't seem to locate this one. Took a very hard look in the very hot weather for a while and still couldn't find it.
What a perfect day for a bike ride. Decided to come down and start from the top and work our way down, and do as many of the trail as possible. Thanks BorisB&Natasha for this great trail. Will be finishing them off soon.
A quick find by frmen1. Guess what song has been rattling around in my brain ever since?! TFTC
Sneaky hide!! Lots of muggles on the beach!! Had to move a blue tongue lizard on before we could get to it! Tftc!!
After almost completing the Point Nepean series and riding from Portsea to Sorrento yesterday, we thought we would grab a few more in the short time we had this morning before heading for home. We have really loved the variety and quality of your hides, and congratulate you in your efforts to make geo-caching fun.
A good clue for this one made the find straightforward. Loving the mix of difficulties as well as the variety of containers in this series. Thank you for your time and effort.
Out and about with mazza-g and Mark9375 on the bikes. A beautiful day to explore this part of the peninsula. I'm loving the theme of each of these caches I even found myself singing the song. TFTC
Found 11/11 with Mr Dicksontwo. Really enjoying the day whilst finding another great hide. TFTC.
Mr Dicksontwo and Mr Rogdel found time at last to add some more smileys to the BTU series. A beautiful Peninsula day, lovely stroll along the bay and some Finds, just what we like. Found this one fifth at 12.26 pm, a little run developing, thank you. TNLNSL.
Judy had this in hand quickly whilst I was still locating GZ. Thanks for the cache.
Up early grabbing a few of this series before there are too many muggles. Another quick find was made.
Thanks Nut bear for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.
There has been quite some works done in the area. It's been a while since I wandered along this beach. All looking good. Plenty of muggles around but breaks between each making for a safe retrieval TFTC
Apologies for the late log. I really thought I had logged it, distinctly remember typing it out but it's not here. disappeared into thin air..... perhaps I just forgot to hit send.
Either way this cache took a little stealth as there were quite some people here. The area has some nice garden work done to it and looks great. TFTC
