monkey maker I found your cache Licorice on 19/12/2023, 10:30am. This is my find 6299 and find # 8 today. A quick and easy drive by. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Quick grab of this cache on the way to Westfield to coincidentally, buy my Dad a pack of Liquorice Allsorts for his birthday today! TFTC
29/3/2023 Find #5967
Wagging work wet Wednesday was upon us, and SaintsMadHouse and I had some serious goals to kick today… once I had finished at acupuncture that is.
The plan had been meticulously laid out by SaintsMadHouse for a productive and successful outing.
Although I’m not a fan of Licorice usually, this one was nice and easily found after the last one.
Thanks for the cache monkey maker.

Nice park and grab! However, there is no lid on the container anymore, but the log was dry surprisingly so that’s nice! I didn’t take the tag inside there, so up for grabs for the next person!
Liquorice. Let me see. I like it. Also LOVE molasses which we used to dip a piece Of sugar cane into at a farmers tank near Our bus stop to such and chew on for the long walk home. May have helped to lead to my sugar addiction. My Nana loved it. I am an Allsorts fan and eat them layer by layer. The bullets I such the chocolate off first. The black cats are a bit bland but the black jelly beans are a treat! I arrived at GZ and had a few lollies to kill time while I waited for a smoker to move along then I went in for the grab. The cache is missing its lid but is dry despite this. I replaced the logsheet and popped it back. Now to head home while finishing my liquorice lollies.
Filling in a blank today gave me a chance to check out this building that I see from the highway all the time. I had wondered what company made this their base with its interesting art deco styling. Was a bit disappointed to find it was just a roofing company actually.
I do indeed see the resemblance to licorice allsorts and could relate similar stories about my grandfather. A nice little reminder of a time long since passed. Cache in good condition, signed and replaced. TFTC

Checked on this one today while I was in the area. It's still in pretty good nic so nothing required.
Thought we would kill a bit of time grabbing some nearby caches. Quick park and grab. TFTF monkey maker

With an event to attend at Broadbeach in the afternoon, I spent the day caching my way down there from Brisvegas, nabbing some solved puzzles and anything interesting along the way.
Mmm licorice.. blech! Funny how people think things look so stylish or cool in black, but in the Queensland sun it ain't so smart. I see many black cars with peeling paint, and in North Lakes the developers painted all the street signs guardrails and lampposts black, but they now all look faded peeling and horrible but the council refuses to spend money repainting them. Cache found easy enough.

Continuing our day of caching, stortigirls and I came to this one next. The GPS signal on our phones was jumpy here, but a quick search and stortigirls had the cache in hand. With our names added to the log, we returned the cache to its spot, then continued on our way. TFTC
A quick park and grab here with Selva Girls, as we did the rounds of this little side road. Tftc monkey maker
Staying down the Coast in between my two night shifts decided clean up the map a little bit.
Pulled up to the GZ and was ever so confident I knew where it was, I didn't even take the GPSr or the phone. After a few minutes, my confidence was quickly degraded and I retreated back for some navigational advice.
Turns out I was a while off but once I had a direction I was set, cache retrieved, signed and replaced.
Thanks for the cache monkey maker, it's in good condition and it makes find #357

I love licorice all sorts and finding caches. Out today with The X-Trailers who I am visiting from SA. Today is the 6th anniversary of my late geo hubby's death. He loved caching and was the person who got us involved in this world wide game. What a better way to spend the day remembering the fun Times together caching. TFTC
Heading to Burleigh with geo hubby and Earthlight
This was our first find of the day
Easy find
Don't you just love the smell of licorice as you walk pass the Lolly shops

I really fancy eating some licorice after reading the cache description. Licorice allsorts were my fave sweets when I was a kid.
There were some parked cars next to GZ so I felt like a bit of a weirdo scouting the area, and hoped that the owners of the cars didn't turn up thinking I was about to break into their car! Luckily the coast remained clear and after a medium length search I spotted the well camouflaged container!

Dahumbug smashed his phone screen, so whilst waiting for it to get fixed we decided to do a bit of caching in the area. Log book was a wee bit messy to dahumbug actioned some maintence for ya. Now I want licorice...mmmm aniseed balls
Had to go to Helensvale to get yet another phone screen replaced. We had a quick hour to wait for it to be repaired so we headed south and grabbed this one and another.
Logbook was all bits of paper and wotnot so I replaced it with a new log which should sort it for a while.
Cheers monkey

Good to see old faithful licorice is still there. What am I saying, everyone leaves the licorice in the lolli jar.
Once we took some photos of the nearby guardian we then proceeded to search for the cache and I soon had it in hand. Thanks monkey maker.
Headed down to Bris for an over night stay from Toowoomba hoping to build a few numbers to complete a goal before an interstate trip. heqding back north and after finding the previous cache we made a quick find here. TFTC monkey maker
I had a bit of time up my sleeve so I ducked in to this estate to hopefully grab a couple of quick finds, this being the first. As i arrived and got out of the gwo jeep it was pretty obvious where the gps wanted me to look.
I approached at just the right angle so was able to spot the cache before I had arrived, meaning far less potential for my activities looking suspicious. I still had to somehow casually lean against the railing looking at the creek while I signed like i am a mad nature lover who just had to stop here to see that.
Thanks for the cache here. I am like garth algar from waynes world. I like the red rope licorice.
Cheers

Another quick find.

We pulled up and jumped out. Mr. Herbz and Pigwig2 walked on one side of the long black thing and Mrs. Herbz the other. Mrs. Herbz certainly had her caching eyes in today as the cache was in her hand watching the others walk to the end! Haha! TFTC monkey maker
Well I do like a bit of Licorice from time to time but it was Mrs. Herbz Herbz who was on a roll with spotting these sneaky hides TFTC
Found @ 18:54
Another quick find, spotted by my muggle friend in last light. We were eaten by mozzies despite being there under 5 mins

I certainly made this one a lot harder than it needed to be. I searched hi and lo for 15 minutes and then made a PAF call and was sent a photo which helped me narrow down the search area and I found that I had to return to where the GPS was indicating all along. I was just too blind to see the cache. It was there all the time and I just didn't see it.

I can't believe I couldn't find this one when out here last time with my young geo-son. Had it found and signed in moments this time. TFTC !

Alas I found a few things here, an eel in the water below, plenty of traffic passing by, and unfortunately no cache. But that is possibly more so because I had places I needed to be so did not give it a good enough search.
Thanks for the cache and interesting description. Licorice allsorts are my favorite of the group
Cache in good condition.

Yes. It's black. Love finding caches like this. Gives me more time to appreciate what's around.
Came down to Helensvale from home today to pick up some Gym equipment and popped over to find some licorice. It was an easy find - the coordinates were spot on. Found at 1.55pm on 4th July 2015. TFTC.
Well I found more than the squashed eclipse tin that I found last week instead of the actual cache. TFTC
Personally I detest licorice but I wasn't going to let that stop me from finding this cache.
I had a look around without any luck and then saw the same item on the ground that the previous searcher had photographed. I hoped this wasn't the cache but it was completely the wrong colour. After a few more minutes searching I spied the cache. Everything is good here.

So off my game today. All I could find is in the photo and it's not even Licorice coloured
Returned today to complete some unfinished business.
No sign of the snake today. GPS took me straight to the hide which was quite some distance from where I was looking last time. After completing the paperwork I noted the GPS read 7M and was pointing to where I searched on my last visit.
TFTC
PS Haven't had it for a while but Liquorice does go down rather well when the urge dictates.

Up from Canberra and found with Rapidlywild on a two week geomission around the Gold Coast and, of course, for the MEGA
So with 4 days of caching and over 100+ finds under our belts so far, we've had a great time touring around caching and seeing new places Lovely to cache in the warm QLD weather as well!
Apologies for the somewhat generic logs- it's not easy remembering every single hide so far!
Thanks very much to all of the cache owners for their hides

Second day venturing around the Gold Coast region with specimenX and we were out caching once again. We had a very enjoyable day out and about.
Apologies to all the cache owners for generic logs however we enjoyed the day wandering around the Upper Coomera and Surrounds.
Thanks monkey maker for placing this cache for us to make a find on

Last one out with a great bunch of cachers.
I love licorice, and I peel off the layers to savour each one but cannot eat too much but do get cravings for it once in a while.
Mr GT54 was onto this one very quickly and the log was full so GT54 added another sheet for more signing.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks monkey maker All good with this cache

Quick find - had to be quick to avoid muggles finishing work, signed the log which doesnt have much room left and replaced undetected
Unable to locate. Although, I did find a brown snake living in the armco railing which meant I lost interest quite quickly.
Meandering up slowly and using my eyes instead of my hands, I spotted something on approach. It turned out to be a quick find, and the cars parked along the roadside were all empty but offered a nice shield from any passing traffic.
I love the pictures in the cache page, the licorice looks delectable.
Thanks for the cache.

On my way back from Brisbane late this afternoon and I thought I should take the opportunity to grab a few caches. This was the first I arrived at. Nice easy find once at GZ. TFTC. SL.
Caching with malrob66 and nessie56. Took longer to find than it should have done. TFTC.
Oh yummy some licorice. My gran used to love licorice allsorts. We always bought here a jumbo tub for Christmas.
It was nice and quiet around here on a Sunday morning. No muggles to worry about at all. A nice quick find here too

Given that this is find 20 20 it is ironic that I was struck by my usual cache-blindness. After a bit of searching I soon found the spot and all was good.
Thanks for the cache monkey maker. Cheers. Find number 3 for Movember.

Find number 2020.... so here is something you didn't know (or maybe did know) about 2020...... Normal visual acuity is commonly referred to as 20/20 vision (even though acuity in normally sighted people is generally higher), the metric equivalent of which is 6/6 vision. At 20 feet or 6 meters, a human eye with nominal performance is able to separate contours that are approximately 1.75 mm apart. A vision of 20/40 corresponds to lower than nominal performance, a vision of 20/10 to better performance.
In the expression 20/x vision, the numerator (20) is the distance in feet between the subject and the chart, and the denominator (x) is the distance at which a person with 20/20 acuity would just discern the same optotype. Thus, 20/20 means "normal" vision and 20/40 means that a person with 20/20 vision would discern the same optotype from 40 feet away. This is equivalent to saying that with 20/40 vision, the person possesses half the resolution and needs twice the size to discern the optotype.

We headed north today to find and learn at an Earthcache for Earthcache Day. On our way home we wanted to find a few more and these ones seemed a good idea. They are on our route home and hopefully a fairly quick find. This one did not disappoint and we were adding our signature in pretty quick time. Cache replaced and we were heading to the next one. Thanks Monkey Maker for the cache hides. It's nice to have a few quick finds sometimes. [^][^]
