A visit to the nearby stuffy and busy shopping center led us out to get some fresh air. It was a nice walk around these parts and the cache found very quickly. There were so many kangaroos! TNLN. Cheers.
Today out and about on 152 of 183 days to get my daily cacher Sapphire Using my Garmin Etrex 22X and MacBook Air!Thanks for the cacheTFTC
Heading into the hills today, there are quite a few solved puzzles I would like to put ink into the logbook. I parked in the carpark in a spot that became free just as I approached. Gotta love that. I walked up the hill and inspected a few rocks before standing back and saying 'where would I hide it?'. The container was spotted very soon after. The cache and contents are in sad shape. I have removed all the sodden paper, and dirt. I added a brand new book, in a brand new bag, and kept the nicer ripped log sheets. Everything now in good shape here, the outside container still had a year or two left. Replaced out of sight. Thanks for the cache Team skyshowsongs, everything in far better condition now. Find #9578 at 11.17am
Apologies for such a late log, for some reason the Geocaching app is doing all our logs as drafts even though that setting is not checked. Will be changing app.Found @11:08 while having an enjoyable walk around the area.Log bag is falling apart.Would love to know what the structure was.TNLN SLTFTC
Day 6 of the trip I think, and I finally feel like I am on holiday. Out for a MTB ride this morning. I don't usually hunt for caches while on the MTB, but I decided to look for ones that would be easy to get to on the bike. This was only a few metres of the main track and I was able to ride to GZ.
Im out here for a couple of hours walking around the Anstey Hill recreation park, trying to sign pieces of paper period this was my first find in the actual park period looks like it should be a great day!
It's falling apart and needs a new container. All contents still there and it's not wet, just a little dampish
Definitely needs some attention and a better quality container. A big fat slug had made it its home today. TFTC
Found It!
A quick find after looking on the correct side of whatever this thing once was. I signed both logbooks.

Out with AlisonBorgas74 and our 2 geokids (9 years) for a caching adventure on the last day of the school holidays. This was our first of 8 finds for the day. AB74 geokid was the one to make this quick find. TFTC
Tftc. Was easy if followed the arrow. Might need a new container. Nice to get out on a winters day. Anstey hill has changed a lot.
Caught up with Mattycat for another tuesday adventures focusing on Ansty hill and some nearby caches, a short stroll had us at GZ, found a plastic bag and log and even a cache container further in, placed log back in cache ready for next searchers

Lots of plastic bags with dog poop around. None with the cache, unfortunately
A nice day so a wander with the pooch around the reserve. Easily found. It does need a proper container and not a plastic bag with holes. Thank you for the placement of the BW2 "Elly" cache Team_skyshowsongs find number 8497 on 19 September 2021 at 12:45 pm
Needs a proper container to protect the contents. There is only a plastic bag with holes.

A beautiful afternoon for a walk in the hills and an opportunity to explore this location. I'm sure I'd walked through here many years ago, but of course that was pre geocaching. Lovely to see Kenny Koala hanging out in the tree catching some zzz's
**Thanks to Team_skyshowsongs for placing this cache.**

Found it. Placed a new logbook. Took 2 small toys, left 2 bug erasers in bag. TFTC
Log book full here, as per Davidwazzas log I ignored the posted co ords and found myself 10m away when I found this cache tucked away
This afternoon seemed like a good time to go for a walk up a anstey hill with the weather being in top notch after a week of rubbish in the sky.
A loop was planned and around I went picking up the caches along the way. Ended up with 11 finds and 3 DNFs.
Thanks for the cache

Nice little hode. Lots of Muggles about today. Not bad day out for cv19. Cache is a little worn out and in need of some tlc. Needs new log book. Tftc
Today with COVID-19 requirements still in effect, but fitness still being promoted, I decided to head to Anstey Hill Recreation Park for some solo mountain biking. I hadn't ridden here in years (actually I've only ridden once when MTBs were first allowed in Anstey around 2015), and so needed to refresh myself with some of the main riding trails. The plan was to find a few D/T 4.5/3.5 caches to complete my next D/T loop. I parked at the visitor's car park off North East Road, and took a few tracks and trails towards the Ridgetop Track, before riding across, and then taking the "Grand Canyon downhill" track. I then headed west along those peaks/ridges, and took a real sketchy track down (I do recall riding that one before). It just started getting dark as I was near below, and with a few final walks and geocache finds, I was back at the car as the sun started to set. I couldn't believe how many people were about today, probably enjoying fitness whilst trying to maintain social distancing. A nice day out, with a few kangaroos spotted around too.
This was my first cache find today, and here at Anstey Hill. This was an interesting old ruin/structure. I found the coordinates out by 8-10 m, and needed to check the other side, before finding the cache. The cache container was in good shape, but the logbook is looking pretty full, and consists of a number of loose small pages? May need a CO check soon. Thanks Team_skyshowsongs for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Yay! Looking at the wrong side and finally managed to see it.
Managed to disguise it a bit better as it was in full view. TFTC SL.

What to do on a long weekend... I know, let's go geocaching !! While we are at it, why not cross the border as well !! So once again, I teamed up with Na'wal to find some hidden treasures. We loaded the GPSr's up with some juicy D/T hides, loaded up the car and hit the highway. The ladder certainly got a work out here, glad I packed it in the car.
Luckily there were DNF's, that would have stung !! We grabbed a great variety of hides, a credit to the CO's. We didn't even make a dent in all of the awesome hides here. Oh well, we'll just have to return here again !!
Wow, there were muggle walkers galore here today !! Luckily GZ was away from prying eyes. The cache contents were a bit of a mess, having been placed hap hazard back in its hidey hole. TFTC Team_skyshowsongs

With a rare public holiday day off, it was time for a road trip. DAB and I packed the geo wheels and took off over the border to find us some nice DT caches for the weekend. We packed the extendable ladder as well as lots of other supplies and took off.
A busy area today but thankfully far enough away. The cache was in a bit of a mess but we fixed that up after we logged in.
**Our thanks to Team skyshowsongs for placing this cache for us to find and enjoy**

Found, nice spot. needs maintenance though, log book torn apart and water damage.
Eye spied, Eye found, Eye logged. Eye left trinket... Cache replaced in hiding spot. TFTC!!
Very disappointing cache. Both terrain and find difficulty are way over rated should be 1 stars at most. Pretty dodgy cache too
Thank you!!
Old logs not doing so well, I have re-waterproofed best I could and left a trinket
