Over visiting from NZ and using the time to do as much caching as other commitments allow. After doing the Glider Forest Trails a couple of days ago, decided to try and smilie out my map in the area by doing these ones in the adjoining forest. Ended up doing a 13.5 km walk over five hours and finding 29 out of 29. Very pleased that all the caches were in place and able to be found, even the ones that had some recent DNFs.A nice quick find here in the hint location. A bit of water inside surprisingly but the double bagged log was still dry Thx to the COs for placing all these caches.
GC56WVN Trail of Friends - Adventures with the CrewIts a Thursday and I finished work at lunchtime so that gave KerriMG and I a chance to go caching. KerriMG had spied this area for us to target today. It was dark when we finally made it back to the car and a total of 30,000 steps for the day for me. This cache had some water in it. TFTC The Hunting Rabbit
Out for a half day with nikid1 so we have to make the most of our limited time to find caches for the cosmic quest. We ended up walking over 15km & finishing in the dark with the night cache. We too have enjoyed finding Crew153 caches & have added some to our tally today.TFTC The Hunting Rabbit
Today I finished off the last section of Parkinson Bushland, the NE corner. 13/15 caches found and 8km walked. With the changes to the Logan Motorway on-ramp I dont think there is a way in from the NE anymore, so I parked down on Johnson Rd and walked up the trail beside the industrial estate then walked around a lot of trails searching for THRs friends. This one was certainly the longest bush bash of the day to get to a nice large container that was sitting right there in the open waiting to be found.I still havent met Crew153 but I have found 54 of his caches so far and still have a lot more to find. He has certainly given a lot to the geocaching community. Thanks for placing this cache in his honour!
Today was the Geo4 cachers, RoddyC Hatzofff, grannysmith1947 and me. We were desperately trying to have a Smilie corner here.Found cache but it did require some TLC while we were there.Log signed before replacing all as found. TFTC

When we first started walking we had visions of tracking down all the caches in the area. Then we revised it down to 5 hides so we could enjoy a nice leftover Christmas lunch. Then the sun came out and the final revision came down to 3 finds.
This has been one of the strangest summers I can remember. Hardly a hot day to shout about and it was only 2 weeks ago I was wearing a jumper to the pub. The doonah is still on the bed and I find myself cuddling under it most mornings.
I thought summer was all about sweating your ring out trying to get to sleep or chastising yourself that you had let your beer go warm. None of those things have happened except on the last few final steps to GZ. Finally summer had appeared and we had to call it a day. The walk looks amazing so we will be back on the next winters day in summer. tftc

I headed off the track and down the hill, it took a bit of work to reach the cache.. Gotcha. Returned cache to its hide.
I was wanting to find at least 28 caches in a day for a challenge and decided this was a good area to achieve it. It was a perfect day for a long walk with hardly anyone else about.
Nice bush with grass trees here. It was damp inside the container so I replaced the wet plastic bag. Tftc

Log book camp, cache filled with water. Dumped out. No replacement supplies on this trip so couldn’t fix it. Sorry.
A little back and forth before I spotted this cache… I did cross my first MTB trail of the day to get here…
And I spotted an actual Mountain Biker, but he was on the top trail and I think we both pretended not to see each other…
The log was a little damp as the container was upside down… I packed the log with silica and returned it to its hide… tftc…

Nice quick find full of swag.cache is a little damp logbook is fine and signable. Thank you
As I travelled through this park today, I noticed the lack of MTB tracks. Usually they shoot off the main tracks in all directions. As it so happens, this cache is off one such unofficial track. I'm glad I was walking it today and not riding though. It looks quite an adventure. At the cache I was amused by the piece of dried wood covering the container. It looks for all the world like a skeletal hand. Very creepy .
This one was off the trails on the geo map but I followed the little green dot (and a thin bike trail) and quickly had the cache in hand. Tipped a bit of water out. Not sure how it possibly gets into a container like this! Log book is a little damp but still ok to write on.
A phone call to Willis007 and a plan was hatched for an early morning start on a bike riding tour of this series. Picked up willis007 and we were off, we reached our destination and then noticed there was a first to find nearby. Nah, someone will be on it, let’s get it later, if it is still there.
We set off on our ride and it was all excitement plus, knocking over the first few caches in good time. Then the excitement happened, as I was flying down the hills to the next cache a washout appeared with a big boulder with a flat front. I thought to myself “Oh shit this is not going to end well”. Sure enough even with the brakes on full I still hit the rock and was thrown over the handle bars, then the bike came over me. Got up and brushed myself off, only to find a lot of bark off on my right leg and right arm and a very sore shoulder.
Willis007 then turned up and was prepared to call it a day. Nah it's just a flesh wound let’s keep going. 4 hours later we found ourselves at the browns plains ambos getting cleaned up, lol, caching completed for the day.
We found 30 plus caches and 2 DNF’s today, the dnf’s were very tricky and in the heat we were over it.
Thanks for placing this series here, we will be back on a cooler day, sorry for the generic post but i got a heap to log.

After speaking with CHAMAD during the week, he realised he was approaching a significant milestone and wanted to get there by years' end. Having been to this part of Brisbane earlier in the year, I recommended a caching morning here to make some great finds and to assist in building those numbers. Bikes organised, a nice early start, we pedalled around the cool morning in the forest to see CHAMAD's bike throw him off ... wow, that's quite a bit of bark off, but in true caching style, he wasn't to be deterred!! The show will go on.
Picking up from where I left off in January, this was my ninth cache for the morning. Cache was quickly found, log signed, and all replaced as found.
Thanks The Hunting Rabbit for putting this lovely series together and for placing the cache here for us all to enjoy.

Four cyclists; ruzzelz, beardman75, bulldozer72 and me, enjoyed our morning riding from cache to cache through this nice quiet bushland today. This one we went 'bush' for, not realising it was off the single trail. Lots of lovely grass trees around! TFTC, The Hunting Rabbit. =^.^=
Submitted via Garmin Live Geocaching - I had put the call out to gather a few cachers for the On Ya Bike @ Paradise day. With an 8:00 am start the plan was to clear this little piece of bushland of caches.
Our small group consisting of La Kedi, Bulldozer, Beardmean and myself set out for a fun filled day on the bikes. Along the way we ran into tvsmiley x 3 walking around the bush land.
Thanks, I love a good bike cache

So this will be a little generic as I post it on our 6 finds today. I find it hard to write much on the go.Three years ago we took on the care of an elderly relative. This stopped almost all our geocaching activities because she can't come and looks so miserable when we go. But I desperately needed some time to ourselves and to have some exercise. What do your caches mean to me-freedom. The chance to enjoy something in a lovely area or with the clever thought you may have put into your hide. The important thing is you have done it and all these caches were in good or excellent condition and findable. So thank you for restoring my sanity.

Another day in isolation and another trip with the Geo-wife and Geo daughter to this quiet piece of bush land to enjoy the fresh air and physical exercise. Great for the mind and the body.
Many thanks to the CO's for making these caches available.

Going by the map, I thought this one was going to require a bit more bushbashing than it did.
When I can across the uncharted trail point its way, I decided to go for it. Great spot!

Early morning start for a bike ride in this forest.
I have been saving this cluster of caches since I moved to BNE last year, as I do need 259 finds in November for a personal goal.
This generous cache was a quick find for me.
Thank you for hiding this cache here

Out and about today Geocaching found a nice park wondering around circles D12 TFTC 3.01pm
Had big plans to get quite a few caches under El_Sueno’s belt as he charged toward his 100th find, unfortunately a huge storm blew in and we barely got to the car before the first wave of downpour hit us. This is a great series, we’ll come back with bikes to speed our between caches time.
Out with Aussie Clarke and Aussie Pete geocaching for the day. Great bushlands to explore on a nice warm winters day. Thanks for all the caches. We replaced some full logs on the way.
On the heels of Doully and Aussie Pete. Thanks to the CO’s for the inspiring caches.
Another quick find then it was back to the trail to continue the journey.

Out for the day working on finding some Hidden Creatures and this trail was a perfect place with lots of caches.
I enjoyed a lovely walk and all of the caches are in good condition but the log was a bit damp in this one.
Apologies to the COs for the generic logs, I'm a bit short on time.

Found @2:17:00 PM.
With the hidden creature souvenirs month beginning we began searching for possible locations to have a "big" day of caching.
With Lismore area cleaned out Walden clan and I decided to pack the bikes and head North. We left Lismore around 5am and returned around 8:30pm with around 70 finds.
Really enjoy caching this way. A few mishaps along the way.
1. A puncture
2. Lost mobile phone (luckily found again)
3. A run in with the police while trying to access an area that had a road closed sign.
4. A sore bum
37km of cycling.
Had a great day. Thanks to efforts of the hiders.
Sorry for all the copy and past logs.
Cheers

To complete our 4th DT loop, a trip south was in order, so a morning of caching around the Browns Plains area was included. A bike ride through this bushland had the twin goals of clearing out the final remaining smilies and grabbing some exercise.
The nearby highway upgrade made some caches difficult to grab, while a couple had to be ignored due to muggle workmen too close by.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache **The Hunting Rabbit**.

I needed some find to reach a milestone so I hit the trails first thing this morning. I covered the eastern end walking 10km in 3hrs this morning. Then I had to disappear for a few hours for a family commitment. When I came back I got stuck into the Glider series and managed to get most of those while walking almost 7km in 2.5hrs. I wasn't able to grab every cache but I will be back again soon. Thanks to the COs for placing these caches with good coordinates and containers in mostly good condition. It was a fun day out.
There is a new road about 50m from this cache which didn't show up on my map. As I was wandering about, a ute from the construction company drove past. They must be using these trails for access to the construction site.
There was water in the cache which I tipped out. The log was dry

I found this cache on a long day in the bush. In order to visit all caches in the area I solved the Travelling Salesman problem. However, it turned out that the most efficient way had some problems in reality, so that the actual walking distance was longer.
Thanks!
Thanks!
The kids and I return again to this great geocaching spot to turn a few more into smileys

The geokids and I had an afternoon OCW Team Mitchimus Prime (Mitchie, Karly & KC), and muggle (hopefully turned cacher) J.J.. it was a lovely walk around this bush land. Thanks for the caches
Next up, I followed the trail to about 50 odd metres away and started heading down amongst the grass trees and logs. Such a quiet, peaceful area here. A stark contrast to the side of the reserve that meets the industrial area. Cache had a bit of water in it. I emptied it out, and saw the log was a bit damp/ mouldy. Was able to sign the log and replaced everything back together. Loved the hint

We are heading toward a milestone event, so we decided to set ourselves a challenge to achieve a few milestones all at once. To manage this however, we have found ourselves on the dark side of town where there is an abundance of caches not too far apart ... perfect for our requirements.
Fortunately, all the caches we found today seemed to be pretty straight forward and we managed to add our name to the log book without any difficulty. We certainly enjoyed our day out exploring this little area of bush land.
Thank you The Hunting Rabbit for having placed the series and maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

I was really enjoying the stroll around here this morning and it was nice to pick up some tribute caches in the mix... I agree with the cache description and the sentiments about Crew153... [^]
The terrain was a little higher around this one than most of the ones we had found today, but not many heartbeats were wasted as Ghostgums and I found our way to GZ. In location, the cache was located and our details etched in the log.
All done, we continued on our "direct approach" to the next.
Cheers Hunting Rabbit.

Gee, was I now starting to run out of steam... I was glad that this was a nice easy find!
This geocache was part of my unplanned mega BNE geocaching day.
When I awoke this morning, for some unknown reason, more than any other day, I had a massive hunger for smashing down some caches!
It was very early when I rolled over in bed and thought, “yep, I feel like a solo day out hunting…”. Knowing that the Muggle Partner had something on today, I knew that I could get in a full day of hunting if I got an early start.
The next decision was to decide where to go… Most geocaches around me would require a fair bit of driving just to grab one or two. So having the time, I thought I might as well head down to BNE, a place that I have not cached to often!
I don’t know why, but for some reason I remembered that the Glider Forest had quite a few geocaches in it and around it, so I decided that that was going to be my hunting ground for the day.
Thanks for this geocache The Hunting Rabbit.

Puh, I also did today the trail of friends. Sometimes it was really hard to motivate myself to walk through the bush but I was positive because in this forest are less spiders in comparison to other forests. All caches are in a good condition and easy to find because of the size.
