TFTC McKee Clan your cache Lets Keep Cleve a Secret that we found today. Camped in Cowell. Nice fishing today, Strong Wind Warning issued. After a nice sleep in we ventured out to Cleve. A new LGA for us. The day started overcast and a couple of hours later the occasional spot of rain turned into a continuous drizzle. Called it a day but we had collected 19 caches and the Adventure Lab.Find Count: 17620
OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa In Cleve for a few days. After exploring town on foot and grabbing some lunch we hopped into the car to expand our exploration. Early lost an eye reaching in for this one ! Tftc

My 10th and last day of my trip heading to and around the Eyre Peninsular. I stayed at Cleve overnight before finally making my way home after a great 10 days away. This cache would be find number 2 of 19 for the day and find Number 230 in total for this trip away.
Never did do this while at the Cleve JLWE so good to finally cross it off the list.

It took me a good 5 minutes to encourage the giant centipede to leave out home in the folds of the log book. But once that was done the log was signed. TFTC
Took off to the North West a bit with Purrfect Di to avoid the rains back home.
Turned out this worked quite well as we only had a couple of showers for the whole weekend and saw some great scenery and found the odd cache or two!
Cleve indeed had remained a secret for way too long. We've made a dent and will need to return!
Many thanks to McKee Clan for placing and maintaining this cache on our SA geo-map

Travelling around - searching, spotting and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just a guyess or plain old dumb luck
Plenty of that luck stuff actually !!!
*All the online logs are composed and published with GSAK of course.*

Beware! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and sharp rocks in your tyres
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and do watch out for germs and bugs !!! . [xx(]
Make Travel Bugs the Only bugs you share and pass on
Keep your distance - cache the countryside
Really fantastic of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting
Thanks so much for reading all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, apparently! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where I could do it and go back to normal logs again !

Found this little gem and made my claim on a smilies! Log book is dry and safe. Container has seen better days, rusting nicely with a ding on the lip leaving a hole into cache. TYFTC SL TNLN
Another cache found during our 2022 South Australia adventure using Geocaching as our guide.
Most caches were found without issue and where necessary damaged containers and wet logs were replace.
Thanks McKee Clan, we had a great time today.

Out for some more caching fun around Cleve this morning along with ilook4geo. We had a good run and enjoyed the country roads as well as the town hides. This was an easy cache to find and all was done to keep the paperwork in order. Thank you Delta Ducks for placing this cache which we were happy to find and be able to claim the smiley.
Went out hunting for more caching treasure today with goingplaces2 while staying in Cleve. Had a good day and enjoyed most of the finds. Name was added to each log and all was replaced as found. TFTC.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
Off to the west coast for a Holiday. [^] Holiday Sal Style that is. We are sightseeing - if there happens to be a cache there - great - get it. Luckily caches are in really interesting spots anyway.
Day 10: Port Lincoln to Whyalla. With a detour back to Cleve.
This was a must for me as I wanted to show Sal the location for Team BAM's (brisal5, Aussie M&M, and mogni) one and only win at the June Long Weekend Event. That was 2014 and I was pretty sure we had done most of the caches but for some reason I hadn't logged them. So called in here and it was very familiar and when I found the cache and opened up the log book there were our names as second to find 7 years ago. And a check of the logs from 2014 revealed we actually had two FTF's on that day. Well better late than never. Time to finally log these. [:o)]
Wasn't sure of this one so called in and found our name as second to find on this one too!
***Thanks McKee Clan for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

This weekend, I joined gridge98 on a trip to Eyre Peninsula, primarily visiting Port Lincoln and its surroundings. We saw its famous marina full of trawlers, and we also ended up visiting Coffin Bay and enjoyed fresh oysters. A nice weekend with weather, and certainly a great vicinity to see.
Today leaving Whyalla, we headed down the Lincoln Highway, passing through Cowell, Cleve, Arno Bay, Port Neill, and Tumby Bay. Just prior to lunch, we also completed the *Cleve Cleaver* geoart trail. A rather long day of geocaching numbers, but the inland and coastal towns were enjoyable to visit, along with the various picturesque beaches along the way.
A quick find whilst driving through Cleve. It was a nice town to visit. The cache container is starting to show signs of cracks, so may be one to watch, but otherwise, the logbook was in good shape. Thanks Delta Ducks and Mckee Clan for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Today davidwazza and I made our way from Whyalla to Port Lincoln as part of a weekend away to clean up as much as we could. Today was filled with some good and bad times, plus a few car issues along the way but all in all a great day out and 105 caches found in total.
Thanks for the cache

We went looking for a micro sized cache but quickly located a regular. Guess the cache has been replaced at some stage but the listing has not been updated. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Delta Ducks and McKee Clan for the cache.
Found during a tour of the Gawler Ranges and Eyre Peninsula for the week, on a route that saw us traveling to Kimba, Streaky Bay, Tumby Bay, Cleve and Whyalla and camping out near Secret Rocks, Kolay Hut (Gawler Ranges), Pildappa Rock, Port Kenny and Yeldulknie Weir (Cleve), all the while finding caches along the way. Thanks for the cache McKee Clan!
Day 2. heading in the direction of Port Lincoln for some 4 x 4 caches in the national parks and the kayak caches down there. Also targeting letterbox and earth caches on route plus the odd multi. Stopped for the trads if they where better than a micro in size along this road. quick find.
We detoured to Cleve on our way from Port Lincoln to Whyalla specifically to find this cache as it fills a hole in a hidden date calendar. The cache was located very quickly.
Thanks for the hide Delta Ducks and Mckee Clan.

Travelling Australia since March 2014 it has been a while since in SA but enjoying this visit greatly.
Currently staying in Cleve today we headed out to explore the local area using Geocaching as a guide.
Wherever we found a full or soggy logsheet we replaced it with a new one.

Well Cleve certainly was a well kept little secret. We had never been here before but were quite impressed with this little town and managed to attempt all but one of the caches here.
Looked at the one up the tree but decided we were too old for that one.
2 DNF's were also recorded.
We are certainly glad we chose to come this way as we head back east to Melbourne and then home to Tassie. Beats driving across the top where there are no caches for us to find any more.
This was a much bigger container than we were expecting to find here.
Took a while to get all the twigs out of my hair after though.
Thanks, and thanks Cleve.

Day 4 of BarnZy and Cravo’s trip from Perth to Adelaide.
Today we travelled from Elliston on the Eyre Peninsula to Whyalla.
We kicked off relatively early, just before sun up and in some intense fog before starting our journey to Whyalla.
We travelled along the Birdseye Highway for the most part of the day, which was a fitting name as we needed an eagle eye to find some of the caches today.
Caching along the highway was good with a great variety of cache containers found, before heading into Lock, which was a very quaint small town, albeit we had little success finding the caches in town.
We moved along the he Cleve Cleaver series which was a great bunch of relatively quick finds, taking just under 2 minutes per cache as we started to get the rhythm of the caches along these parts. Great small power trail which kept us interested with some nice hiding spots.
Continuing along the highway we caches through Cleve, grabbing a few of the nifty letterbox hybrid hides which were most fun, were trying to collect more letterboxes which makes these caches really valuable.
After leaving Cleve we continued along the highway to Cowell, where we enjoyed a nice hot beef roll from the bakery for lunch before continuing up the Lincoln Highway towards Whyalla.
We arrived in Whyalla a little earlier than planned which was good as we had planned to complete the August series trail by torchlight. Before we completed the August series we eyed off a D5 cache Honeymoon Hilton which was an absolutely brilliant cache at a well staged ground zero and a brilliant hide, thankfully we didn’t have to resort to phoning the CO.
We then turned our attention to the August series and loved the quick finds of well setup containers. I thoroughly enjoyed the series.
We then cached around town and managed to pickup the 5/5 Schoolies Challenge, which we had managed to qualify quite some time ago.
We finished up with a great dinner at the camp kitchen at the caravan park we’re staying at.
Great day out and can’t wait to tackle the other Whyalla power trail tomorow.

Day 4 of the Perth to Adelaide trip where we started in Elliston and ended in Whyalla.
Today was about finding as many caches as possible and starting / warming up to the larger power trails that bought is over here.
We completed the cleve clever series with a find every 2 minutes, and the August series with around 2 finds a minute.
The day started with a slight sleep in as the travell today was considerably less all up after the 4th day 2900km travelled.
During the morning we would of done most of it through thick fog yet again for the rest half hour despite a later start to
Anyway we made more tracks to Cleve, Cowell and many more in between.
The day also included B12 getting his 11000th cache on cache “August 11” and a total find tally of 112 caches.
McKee Clan I found your cache Lets Keep Cleve a Secret thanks for placing this hide for myself and others to find.
Dunsborough is where it’s all at this year check it out at GC7GXQA October 13th + 14th. Hope to see you all there at WA Goes Big 2018.

Hi there McKee Clan.
We found your cache **"Lets Keep Cleve a Secret"** at 11:02:00 AM today. This cache makes our find count 13896.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around the local area today. We usually start the day off by nominating a cache some distance away from our camp site and then take a route mainly determined by the next closest cache according to our GPS. Todays plan was an attempt to "clean out" Clever before heading back to camp at Cowell.
We ended up finding 20 & DNFing 0 caches today.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around two metres from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Secret keeping is something I am pretty good at, but when it is about something happy and good, I usually get so excited I just want to blurt it out!! Now I really liked Cleve, but haven't yet decided if I am going to keep it a secret yet or not!
Found whilst on a fabulous Easter long weekend caching trip with CPwanderer travelling from Adelaide to the Eyre Peninsula.
Today has been filled with much of the same as yesterday - fun, laughter and lots of crazy caching adventures [^] ....as well as flies (that were very friendly and seemed to like riding in the air conditioned car with us), HUGE and hungry ants (ouch!), a large nest of spiky caterpillars, cute little kangaroos and even having a close call with a DEATH ADDER SNAKE - keep in mind I was with CP!!
Thanks for the cache Delta Ducks for Mckee Clan

Off on a caching adventure with GoodLook on the Easter long weekend!! We had perfect weather and, for the route we were taking, surprisingly little traffic! Our target was the Cleve Cowell area althouth we started way before this. Our biggest challenge was the lack of anything open, apart from roadhouses, on the Friday and Saturday!!
Quick find ... all in good condition!!

Found by Mary & David, in company with pprass (signed as m & p), at 1550. Stayed at Cowell last night. Today, we made our way across to Cleve to do the local caches, then back to Cowell again. What a great day we've had caching everywhere despite the Antarctic weather. Our thanks to McKee Clan.
Found at 3:52 PM GAFF1 in the company of maccamob. We signed the log book as "M&P".
Not too clear on the story being told in the cache description - it got truncated a bit We found the cache in the obvious spot, but it ain't a micro is it
Thanks McKee Clan.
