Found by The Empire + HWe hit the trails again today, the occasional showers adding a refreshing element to the drive. Each time the rain fell, the earthy scent of wet eucalyptus and native trees filled the air, making the entire landscape feel alive. The rain left the gravel tracks slick but manageable, and the morning passed as we wound through the bushland, the sound of raindrops tapping softly on the car roof. After completing a cache series to the north, we set our sights on tackling some more of the 'Wandering Heroes' caches. Each one brought its own unique challenge, with a mix of clever hides and rewarding finds. The variety of locations and the creativity of the caches kept things interesting, making the hunt all the more enjoyable. A quick find on the way into town. Thanks for the cache crane2.-M

Find # 15573Been a while since I've been out solo for a long trip. But things change over time. And I'm living the past.So with some time off work, I've jumped the border wall to chase down some long trails in South Aussie... don't know how many I'll get. But I've got quite a few downloaded. I do have a short hit list ( of 2) caches to help with a challenge. All others are just for the Adventure and countryside views. Armed with all the necessary TOTT from tweezers and magnet grab to 6m ladder and 8m fishing pole. I believe I'm prepared for all that I'll come across. (Just had to leave the Kayak at home )Day 5. After a cold night at the Maggea Oval.. I was off on another days hunting. But decided to turn things around as I started in Loxton (after getting supplies) and tackle the trail backwards from original plan. TFTC crane2

Day 18 of our loop through Vic and SA then home.

Our last day together on this trip, we headed even further afield from Loxton. fitzy_1965, albida33 & I signed as MAF or FAM to save room.

Mannum was our target, along with two OTD series, some oldies and some nice D/T’s.

All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

31,788. Found with minniek and albida33 (signing either as FAM or MAF to save room and just for fun) during another great day of caching in South Australia).

Rutherglen Mega and South Australia Trip Day 18. Today we headed out early to get two of the On This Day series (November and March) plus the usual cherry-picking around Mannum and Palmer, before finishing up some Trads around Loxton that we have driven past far too many times ! We got to do the ferry ride at Swan Reach twice again which we always enjoy Wink This was the next find of the day, and it was a quick find once at GZ. Signed, replaced, and then we headed off to the next one on the list.

Thanks crane2 !!

Our second day in the Riverland with BettyBoo3747 and the geodoggies.
The forecast was for rain hail sleet and snow so we headed south to do a few OYB caches.
The day turned out quite nice, but last nights storm left the ground a little slippery (and very muddy!).
We had also driven past without noticing these small graves.
The metal work a couple of houses down the road is worth a look too.
Thanks, Robmc.

#19757. Day 4 of our holiday and having our second day of caching from our base in Renmark. Robmc, the geo-doggies and I headed off to collect some OYB caches a fair distance away and a few others along the way. The thunderstorm last night meant a lot of mud to wade through in places.

Always sad to see little lonely graves, especially along the roadside. Wonder why they were placed far from the homestead.
Poor little girls. Left a TB here to continue its journey.

Thanks crane2

Due to the weekend weather forecast for high winds, I had to cancel my planned kayaking trip at the Corong.

At short notice I decided to head to Loxton instead.
The wind was blowing for most of the weekend but thankfully the mild temperatures made for a good haul of finds in and around Loxton.

Quick find here after returning from a session on the bike Where I Go trail.

Thanks for the cache Adopted by crane2.

A short day for us today but we did cover a load of miles, we nearly ended up back in Victoria. We rectified a DNF from a few years ago, and added 2 DNF's so two blue faces to replace the one we managed to change into a smily face.
More heat, flies and dust and roads that we have not traveled before showing us more of this great brown land that we live in, but we did enjoy our day overall. It really hits you in the face making you realise how hard life was for our pioneers.

A plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to attack some of the caching trails down in VIC/SA. With the boarders slowly staying open we thought Easter might be a safe time to try since the QLD boarder was still too fragile to attempt going to the MEGA and it also looked like it could be rather wet there.
Our team “The Mob” consisted of GoodLook, LíB, Rapidlywild, The Drovers, feathertop and ourselves. This team ended up being very productive and some new friendships were made. Always a bonus in my book. All logs were stamped with “The Mob” to save space and time.
After completing all the trails, we had set out to do and a couple more for good measure it was time for this mob to go its separate ways.

It was now time to head home after doing numerous trails while in the area a great caching adventure. We decided to pick up ones around Loxton before leaving.

Quick find here.

Thanks for the hide crane2 and for the fun Rapidlywild

For the first time in a long time, it was road trip time. With COVID-19 keeping everyone at home for so long, the borders were finally opening and the feet were itchy for a decent caching trip. Plans were made with FurfacesLL to do a 10 day road trip across to Mildura and Loxton to do a heap of caching and we were excited. Across the 10 days we racked up over 4,300km in driving, multiple hotels/motels, brought home enough red dust to create our own sand pit in the back yard and collected over 1800 finds between us. It was a massive trip and lots of fun was had.

We teamed up with GoodLook, FeatherTop, The Drovers and LiB and signed most logs as "The Mob". There were a few caches which were signed as individual team names as some teams had already completed said caches, those will be noted individually.

Our target caches were the Turtle Series, the Paddle Steamer Series and the On Ya Bike wherigo Series, heaps of other caches were also collected along the way but our primary target caches were completed which made us all very happy and very tired geocachers.

With the Turtle done, the PS Series done, the On Ya Bike done, the TdU & TdF done as well as the Riddlers done, our targeted caches has been accomplished. With the teams now split and it was back to FurfacesLL and myself, we had heaps to choose from. Today was cleaning up around Loxton and making our way over to Mildura for the night, before making our way back towards Wagga tomorrow.

A nice quick find here, now onto the next find for the day. Cool

Thanks for the hides crane2 Big Grin And thanks FurfacesLL for a trip to remember [^].

There are many graves like these in often lonely and forgotten places. Very sad Both Phetlern and Suscoe headed for home early this morning so Bushfire and I headed off to see if we could land a very big fish. We were very successful at this, much more so than catching those wet and slippery ones. We were so successful that we also had time to find many more caches around the district too. Another great day with the ever helpful Bushfire even if I did nearly freeze early in a bitingly cold wind I have much to thank him for as he provided the vehicle, did all the driving, provided fruit cake, and a big warm jacket which saved my life, to say nothing of his good company TFTC crane2

Day 4 Monash B and B to Adelaide

Found with mogni. Slowly heading in the direction of home. Stopped in loxton for a few caches before keeping going. I'll leave the rest for the next trip. quick find.

Myself and mogni came up to the river land to go to MacCabe Corner and find the virtual there plus drive the mail trail in murray sunset national park plus the 4 x 4 track in cooltong national park. The original idea was to go through to mildura but with weather 37, 45 , 37 degrees fore cast we changed plans and stayed in monash instead. Any caches that where found damaged where replaced and any logbooks found full or with 2 or 3 spaces left where replaced.

Apologies for the late log. This was my final day of an epic four day caching trip to South Australia and this was the toughest day of the lot. It was 40C in the Riverland and the hot, dry and dusty conditions made it tough going. My original target of caches to find had to be toned down and aim for a more realistic number for the conditions. Main targets were Wandering Heroes caches and a few others along the way. I decided that Alawoona was my turn-around point before heading back north so having cooled off a bit on the journey I was able to tackle a few more near Loxton. This was right on the way so I was able to stop close by and take a look. No problems here and I was soon back in the comfort of the car. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks to DustyandDizz for placing this and for Aussie M & M for keeping it going.
