Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in Aldinga for a few days and ranging from there to grab some finds. Scored a beautiful day after a couple of chilly ones. Thanks for the hide LNCU
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We're staying in Aldinga for a few days, hunting down some nearby caches in this lovely part of SA. Thanks for the series Ziggy58. LNCU
Before we left Hahndorf today which we have affectionately named The Dorf, we called into Beerenberg Farm. We arent sure what the locals have nicknamed Hahndorf but when we tell locals we are from Queensland they tell us we can call it whatever we like. However, if we were from Victoria then dig a metre hole in the ground and put our head in it.Tomorrow is the second last day of our holiday so at the farm we just made a list of the sauces we were going to target. Mrs Woodyrothwell had to grab a handful of the small 90 cent sauce jars. She is a sauce fiend which means she picks the sauce before she picks the main meal. When I asked her what she was going to be putting the sauce on for lunch she told me it was going to be her fingers. tftc
Quick find once you work your way in.Ziggy58, I found Cats and Dogs: Big Dog Food today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.* * * * * * *SAs Leap Year Event - GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. Keep looking up!
Spending a long weekend in the Southern suburbs which I havent visited very much since I started geocaching. So lots of unfound caches to keep me busy. The main theme was to target solved mysteries, highly favourited caches, caches requiring a TOTT, adventure labs and any other caches that I passed by.A hot one today so this was a quick park and grab and then back to the air conditioned car. Thanks for the cache Ziggy58.# # #14154 # #
The plan was to cache some fresh air, scenery, and of course 40 winks

Please note have added a small container with new dry log within original cache container as was water logged and gross. Have placed back in original co-ordinates.
The usual Wednesday wander of the Befuddled consisting of just the Adders and Astro. with the Starfish injuring his back and the Rat unable to join us meant that there was only the two of us available.
The target area for the day was Aldinga and surrounds. An area that had been planned previously but did not eventuate in success with many diversions seeking other hides.
As always, all caches were visited and signed by all members of the group or each member had a part to play in retrieving the prize.
All caches were in good condition unless noted otherwise.
The Logbook does need maintenance.
Thank you for the cache %CacheName Ziggy58, found 18/05/2022

I completed several things on my Saturday list, then headed south to grab some caches on a glorious sunny afternoon. I had solved a few puzzles in the area and was aiming to get to Willunga by the end of the day. This never eventuated, I underestimated how long some of the Cats and Dogs caches might take. Never mind, I still managed over 30 caches, the last one found in the dark using torchlight, I miss DLS.
Thanks for the cache Ziggy58. Cache way in there, and in good condition. Find #6374 at 5.37pm

Spent the morning caching the Cats and Dogs series. I managed to find (or replace) 29 from the series, and there were 2 which I didn't get to attempt due to muggles. Thanks Ziggy58 for the series.
Out for an afternoon of caching. Enjoyed working through a number of the Cats and Dog series! A quick find here. TFTC!
Love this spot, beautiful scenery around but yes lots of rubbish. Picked up a TB TFTC
I find it annoying when reading other people's comments that say 'nice easy find and I can't find it. Luckily this was a nice easy find but entered bush from the hard way. Also some trash left in the bush so might be muggled. TFTC
Combining geo-caching and hours of driving for our L plater geo-daughter seemed a match made in heaven! Great day for it too. TFTC
In Port Elliott today, great day for caching out to get a few before the heat hits later this week. TFTC
Caching around Willunga area today and getting to see the country side and the many vineyards. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining their hides for our enjoyment to try and find them.
Out and about while staying at Willunga on holiday from Brisbane. Today was finding caches of the Catsand Dogs Series as well as others. Due to the numbers I am doing a generic log. I appreciate the CO's for placing these caches out there, bringing us to different locations in the countryside. TFTC
I decided to bump up my finds for 29th Feb, seeing as it doesn't come around often, so I headed down south from my home town and spent a day meandering around these areas and just enjoying the day.
Great weather, nice countryside and good caches. Thanks to all the owners, sorry but this is a blanket log.
Lots of scratches from the caches under the ever present bushes, lots of ants, lots of other things which made noises in the bush. I probably should be doing all this in winter - but that is no challenge
Some caches may have specific logs if they need attention, otherwise they were all found in good condition. Thanks for your caches and making my day an adventure.

I ended up spending most of the day down south with gridge98 targeting new-ish caches around Willunga and McClaren Vale. The breakfast club event at Morphett Vale meant there was a reason to come this way, and the first part of the morning was a little sporadic before we did a few of the Cats and Dogs series, and then tried to clean out Willunga. A nice day out with just over 50 finds.
A quickish find at this one, with cache and contents in good shape. Thanks Ziggy58.

A nice little series that obviously has changed over time most of them a quick and easy find
Out for the day down south to solely go to the 3rd breakfast club event, with not much of a plan other than to just find caches Davidwazza and I set out to find cache around McLaren Vale/Wilunga area. A nice day out with just over 50 finds.

Cache #2240. Seventh find today.
Today, the whole family visited Willunga for the almond blossom. Tried this cache on our way back home.
It's a quick and easy find. Signed the log, and put the cache back.
Thanks for the "Cats and Dogs" cache series, Ziggy58.

A rare afternoon free for some caching - yippee.
Found the large tin of dog food. Also found a plastic dog bone, which I think was part of the cache for "Delicious" just down the road.

Quick easy find on this gorgeous autumn day. Enjoying wandering around these back roads. TFTC
Headed out after work to tackle some olive trees and find some caches; with threatening rain I was after some easy to finds and this series is a handy one to pick up. TFTC!
Accurate coordinates and a logical hide location led to a quick find of a good sized container. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Ziggy58 for the cache.
Cleaing up the geomap down south with Purrfect Di,
finally finished off most of the dogs and cats series.
A great idea, and nice to see some theme on a couple still.

When I came down here a month or so back I got a taste of these cats and dogs caches and wanted to find more on this visit.
Today I found 44 caches in all, including a good proportion of these caches. some of the caches are a little the worse for wear but overall most were easy enough finds.
Thanks Ziggy58

This was to be our final full day in SA before heading back to Perth tomorrow afternoon . It has been a fantastic caching trip with old mate KrabiBoy and we have been flying through as many caches as we can manage . We targeted Willunga today and then cached our way northeast towards another OTD series [^]. Another rippa day!
I had been eyeing off an interstate trip for some time now and made plans to head to SA to power through the geoart trails over here . I roped in my geo buddy Krabiboy to join me and we set about solving [?] caches and highlighting Jasmer caches that aren't available over in WA. Our adventure took us from the CBD over to the Yorke Peninsula and then back across to the Murray Bridge area . We were relentless in chasing down the finds and picked up as many as we could in the week that we had available. Due to the park and grab nature of our visit, the log books which weren't able to accommodate the ink stamp we had made were signed with the initials 'jk'! Fave points will be awarded for those caches which are considered awesome
A massive thanks here to Ziggy58 for placing this cache here and for tempting us to venture over to this area. Cheers!
jinta29 found your cache Cats and Dogs: Big Dog Food today. This is my find #8024 and find #25 today. I was able to get my name in the log book here and we replaced the cache as we found it. Thanks once again Ziggy58 for placing this and bringing us to this part of the world!

jinta29 and I are in town this week after many months of planning for a week to remember. We are heading to the Yorke Peninsula, Murray Bridge and as many places in between as we can get to. This was one we found along the way.

Did the 40 Winks series by mountain bike and then grabbed did a few more to the north of that series, including this one, by car. Signed log.
Day Twenty eight of our holiday, BettyBoo3747 and I are still at Semaphore in Adelaide.
We have been caching in the Northern suburbs, time to head South. We did some of both the Forty Winks and Cats and Dogs series, plus any that appeared on our radar as we travelled around.
We loved the Cats and Dogs series, there were several that have had much thought and planning put into them. Unfortunately it seems the CO is not a player any more and the series is falling into ruin. We did a bit of maintenance with what we had in the car, but several need the CO's touch.
Sad to see this happen.
Nice hide! Very well done. It was hides like this that made the series.
Thanks, Robmc.

#12095. Day 28 of our SA holiday. Time to bite the bullet and travel south of Adelaide from Semaphore. It was a bit of a journey - no easy way through town. We decided to start with Forty Winks and then proceed to Cats and Dogs, as time allowed.
Here we are doing Cats & Dogs after lunch in Aldinga. It is such a shame that the CO of this series is obviously no longer playing. She has created a very nice series and there were some interesting hides. It was very disappointing to find so many caches and logs in bad condition. We did a little bit of maintenance as we made our way around but left most of them as they were. It would be so good if someone could adopt this series to keep it going.
An interesting hide here. All good as I remember.
Thanks Ziggy58

The hound and I are out and about doing some cats and dogs today on a beautiful Sunday. Life is good, sunshine and smiley faces what more could we want. Geohusband at home doing DIY I think he see the short straw!!! TFTC and series
Enjoying learning more about 'cats and dogs' with jc125jc. Thanks Ziggy58 for your research.
It was hot out here on my road bike this afternoon and the terrain wasn't always ideal for my skinny wheels. I was pleased to log this find along my ride. Thanks for the hide.
Nice big shady tree, and a nice double cache container. Contents were clean and dry. TNLNSL TFTC
Having the day off today, and given the fact that the weather was meant to be decent, I thought it was about time to knock off the Forty winks series and make a start on the cats and dogs series. Today was a father successful one with 54 finds out of 58 caches. Some of the caches in the Forty Winks series had wet logs, so for future finders it would be advisable to bring a spare note book. During this caching run I bumped into a family from Canberra who was also doing this series, who were visiting the southern part of Adelaide. Have they discovered the dastardliness of Freddo yet? Who knows. An enjoyable day of caching was enjoy, and I am a few steps closer to achieving my goal of 300 cache finds in a month.
