easy find. Assumed that there would be a find and just looked without looking up geocache details . found and logged later
Today we found View fit for a King on our travels. We are visiting from Melbourne, but making our way home today. We totally over thought this was one but eventually made the find in a d’oh moment!
Thanks pippa8888 for being part of our geocaching fun.

A quick find with my oldest son after setting up camp and playing mini golf at swan reach. Not realised at the time but it’s my 2,900 find - yay!!
After a nice sail from Barrier landing we decided on dinner at metung pub. A short walk before dinner and we came across this great cache
Made this a hell of a lot more difficult than it ended up being....size description nothing like what we found so had us looking in the wrong place. Lovely spot. Tftc
Marking this cache as a find. Came back to Metung for a visit and saw there were 2 TBs in this cache, so decided to go rescue them as this cache is so easily found by muggles. Will take these TBs on a journey.
Found A cache which we suspect is not THE cache, and just a throw down as it was not a micro, not where the previous logs indicate and the log sheet states it was placed on 04/11/19 by Within Australia. Spent a LOT of time looking for the correct cache however had no luck.
We actually found this a few days ago and completely by accident. It was a good spot though and a large amount of treasures.
We are away for a few days before having to head back to work. After what felt like a long drive, we had something to eat and then headed out for a nice evening walk. This cache ended up being on route so we headed for a look. Took a few minutes to locate but got there in the end. Just as we left the general GZ three fire engines shot past, which was slightly worrying. TFTC
While we had the opportunity to stay for a few days in Metung in a beautiful cottage with lakeview we made some short walks. This cache we found very quickly. Thanks and greetings from Switzerland.
With the sun in our eyes we felt our way along and eventually made the find. Nice sculpture. TFTC
I was king for a few minutes.
Found on another epic caching loop with H423L which included the St Arnaud mega and many other magnificent Australian locations.
Thanks pippa8888 and clear skies from TeamAstro. ️ Cache the planet!

The weather is warming up and it was a perfect day to be by the beach. This took us way longer than it should have, but we found the tricky hide, mid-ship.
Thanks for bringing us here to explore the interesting spot.
Thanks for bringing us here to explore the interesting spot.
Our first find geocaching!! Took us only 5 mins. Was very fun. Took us to places we probably wouldn’t have gone otherwise!!!
Wow what a place!! We were distracted by the ship and by all the swans, when the rain started again which reminded us why we were there.
Geo-kids and I searched and searched. After 5 minutes we re-read some of the previous logs and we soon realised that we were never going to reach this challenge.
I soon spotted the elusive barnicle, but how to get it?
I could have asked non-geo-caching hubby (Who had stayed in the car) or I had to lift my 4yr old above my head..... come here sonny!
He grabbed the hide, we signed the log, and now the fun begins of putting it back. With the support of 10yr old geo-kid, we managed to get it back in its spot

Riding through Metung on a very hot day picking up some caches as I go. I am sure I found this cache years ago but I must have forgotten to log it, anyway my name is in there again. TFTC
This was our second attempt at this cache, and upon approach we all had a dreaded fear return. Last time this had been so tricky with long looks, fingers in places where fingers probably should go, and hands reaching desperately for a tangible clue.
This time, our littlest spotted something that seemed out of place, not two minutes after we started searching. Yes! He was right. It was the cache. And we were ecstatic.
Thank you!

Beautiful day, beautiful spot! Tftc - have messaged as it may no longer be where it is intended to be
Finally, finally found but not before we phoned a friend. Even then we had to get some muggles with a long arm and fingers to retrieve. Certainly a tough one but glad we persevered. TFTC. SL.
Our second attempt at this cache and again a DNF...... Our caching skills need some work I think.
Finally found after ages looking went through past logs and read and saw some hints tftc
Tried for this cache and failed to find it when last in Metung 9 years ago, this time it was a relatively quick find

Unfortunately we couldn't find this one. The sun was in our eyes and we looked and looked but couldn't see it. However, thank you for bringing us to see this, what a marvellous achievement for everyone that worked on it. It looks amazing. TFTC even though we couldn't find it.
Trip from Bright in Victoria to Brisbane, Queensland can be rather boring, so we cache as we go. Today, we started at Pt Marlay and ended up at Pt Marlo.
Found it on the aft, draft, raft or ..... thanks for the hide pippa 8888

After spending ages trying to get the GPS working only to have it tell me that the cache was 40 meters out in the lake I realized 3 things. First; I'd have to do this the old fashion way (ie. without electronic devices), second; I didn't care about the wet or the cold, I was determined to claim that find, and lastly; I am a terrible swimmer.
Thanks for the adventure even if I did end up in the water.
Memo to self: never wear thongs on slipper rocks.

MontsII was away for a birthday trip and decided to find a few caches today. Thanks so much for placing this cache for him to find Pippa8888!
Manzie and I headed to Metung from Newlands Arm for a bit of brekky and a few caches today. I do enjoy exploring places by boat, the car gets boring sometimes. While sitting in the cafe I had a look at the hint for this one. Hmmm, whatever could that mean? I didn’t think to much about it as we finished our breakfast and headed off on foot. Lucky for me manzie was a bit more switched on at this point and looked to his right and asked me if the cache was over there, because he could see something. Oh! Yes. Yes it is. And now the hint makes more sense, lol. An easy find as I retrieved the cache while manzie watched the muggle exercising his dog nearby. A quick sign of the log and again manzie kept watch while I carefully replaced the cache. TFTC, and pointing out the interesting sculpture!
Competitors 8th find!!! Found with my mum tftc. It took us a while to find this. Very clever!!
We have looked for the past hour and have had no luck finding between 5 of us. Muggle activity was high today
After a long hot drive we dropped our bags and headed to the water to cook off. This one was a bit hard but eventually able to find. TFTC
While staying with friends at Lucknow we are going to hit the rail trails and lakes to see what Geocaches are around.
Today is Metung and Lakes Entrance.
This one is very compact!

Lucky last on this morning's walk around Metung (well, it was across the road from 'home' so I figured that I'd better find it ). It turned out to be a nice quick on at 09:55 and I soon the log as I enjoyed the chilly, windy views.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks pippa8888.

In Lakes Entrance for a few days and decided to come and visit Metung for the day. After having no luck at the nearby multi, it was great to make a quick find here, even though it was blowing a gale.
Thanks Pippa8888 for placing the cache for us to find.

Today was my first trip to Metung and I had a delightful colleague with me who permitted a geocache or two in between our work visits. We enjoyed the sandy walk out to this cache, spotting two black swans out in the water. Our search was eventually fruitful, yielding an unusual container that thankfully my colleague was physically fit to collect. TFTC pippa8888
