Because this is now such a busy road, & the previous parking area has been fenced off, I have removed the container for safety reasons. Sadly, the Clover Trial Run has now ended.
A little parkour to get this one, but quick find.

I pulled up with the layby on the opposite side of the road. Found this one after s short search. TFTC.
On a trip to the NZ Mega 2018 with TaraTed, lots to see and do, this was a must as we both wanted to do the nearby power trail of puzzles. Care needed on the road. Signed TTBB TFTC. Blenheim Bear
Found this one on our journey home after attending the MEGA in Upper Hutt. No problems with the find TFTC.
As I am about to leave Woodville shortly it was time that I find and sign off the closest ones.
Ooops. Found this when I was going down the hill. Not the best place to park.
Cheers for the cache.

Driving home after a weekend in Palmerston North to see our daughter perform in Le Cirque Volé. Picking up a few roadside caches before it gets dark. TFTC
We are staying with family in Feilding for a few days, and today we are on our way over the hills to complete the Stickman puzzle trail. We stopped off to find the Clover Trial cache on our way down the hill to Woodville. The cache was found at the second hint item we searched. TFTC
The Finnish team on the way to Napier. Easy found by fimis. Greetings from Finland. TFTC
5:30:00 PM. Got out of the traffic to search for this one. Looked on the wrong side at first before grabbing the GPS to look properly. Log signed. Thanks Popmac for the cache.
Quick stop had to wait for a few cars to go by since it's such a busy road these days. Easy find tftc
It was nice standing here signing the log with all the little lambs bleating. Then along came a BIG truck and spoiled it all but at least I found the cache. Thank you.
No trouble with the cache and found an example of your clover work just by it. TFTC

#2573 All good at GZ.
Yeetrees had mentioned to me that he wanted to do the 142 in 24 challenge so needed to do a 'raid' in order to achieve the requirement. I had already met the requirement myself during my 256 cache day earlier this year, with Yeetrees driving me. A plan was hatched to head up to the Manawatu to stop at caches that Yeetrees had not found - bypassing many that I still needed.
Yeetrees conducted the planning and worked out a route that would enable this. Allowing for the fact that some caches may be missing, the planned route was for just over 150 caches. As it turns out, a further 23 caches were published a few hours before we set off from Wellington, and certainly before our start time at the first cache at the top of Wharite Peak at 3pm. We certainly didn't expect any of the new caches to be unfound by the time we arrived.
It was great that all caches, with the exception of one were findable. This is an indicator of very well maintained caches, many of which were placed by marisa&kaleb - great work!
We were in the clouds at the top of Wharite Peak at kick off, in very blustery conditions. Getting wet at Cache Number 1 of 150 odd was not thrilling, however we knew it would all be over in 24 hours. Or less. The day fined up later in the afternoon, and when the stars came out we knew we were in for a clear night.
I don't recall what time we achieved the 142 required by Yeetrees, however by 7 am on Sunday we had over 170.
In the main, log sheets were fine. A couple required maintenace which we did where we could. It was a great 16 hours to more than meet the target for the 142 in 24 Challenge - GC5EAAX.
Apologies for the generic log, however where specific mention needs to be made, it has been added to the log. Thanks to all CO's for their great work, particularly Marisa&kaleb as well as Skindo who placed the majority of the caches we found.

#8267. Drove up to Woodville after the excellent Winter Warmer III event earlier today. GZ was all quiet when we visited. Good views. Quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Vistra and I had headed down to to Manwatu for the weekend, we both wanted a high number weekend and I was looking forward to meeting some of the locals as well.
Thank you to all the CO's for their placements some nicely placed, clever and tricky hides, so a great variety. TFTC

I traveled down to Palmerston North for a 3 day geocaching weekend to give my numbers a bit of a boost, as I head towards my next caching milestone. I decided to fly there and back and pick up a cheap rental car for the weekend. The weather was perfect and I had a great weekend down there.
I joined up with yorkshirekiwi83 again today for another day of caching, before our flight out this evening. We started the day picking up a few caches around the city, Bunnythorpe, Ashhurst and the gorge, before taking the Saddle Road back to Ashhurst late in the afternoon. This was a nice quick find along the way. TFTC!

Heading over to Woodville, side tracked so much collecting caches along the way, but at last it's in sight.
No trouble here, straight forward hide.

Great road trip so far - number six today and this was a fairly easy find although we overshot the mark first time. TFTC.
Quick find. All quiet on the road today. Just finding a few local caches before we head into the hills after lunch. TFTC
Final cache of the day. Went from pahiatua to the airport via saddle road to see how the progress of the road works were going. Funny being on this road when there is no real traffic around! Tftc
Quick stop with our boys on the way back to Wanganui - collecting a few caches on the way - tftc - glad to claim ftf for 2016
The road was quiet today so I took some time to admire the view from the cache site.
Had checked out the wind farm and saw a couple of caches down this way so had to get them ...found ok cache in good order thanks
A quick easy find as we headed over Saddle Road, which has had a lot of improvement since we last crossed it. TFTC
Lovely views, especially after the terrible weather we have had in the past week. Quick find - tftc
3rd of the morning. Saddle Road was quiet and the view of Woodville is really nice. Easily found. TFTC.
TFTC. As suggested, a good spot to turn around and Nic-jay took the opportunity for a photo or two whilst I signed the log.
Found on a sedate 3-day road trip to Napier with Infoferret.
Awesome views from here! Took a few photos and then hit the road again.

Went for a round trip from Ashhurst through the gorge & back home via Saddle Rd to pick up a couple of caches and get my overtired son to sleep. Misty weather on the Woodville side of the gorge so no beautiful views today.
Mothers day outing! 3rd find for the day.. A little confused about side of road but clue confirmed... Thanks for the cache.. Left charm & shoe toggle. Took bead.
Came here on a day's caching to clean up some outstanding unfound caches in the Northern Wairarapa region. A quick find by torchlight after dark, in the second place checked. Signed log, TFTC

Nice easy find, but a bit hazardous with so much traffic diverted over the Saddle while the gorge is closed.
Thanks for the cache Popmac! TNLN SL

Lots of road works on the way up, pretty impressive to see these turbines up close especially on a sunny day, great views as well, many thanks for the cache.
A slight detour on the way into Woodville. Was busy searching the other clue item, lost and found a ring and then went to the correct place. TFTC
It was decided that three of us would meet up at the start of the gorge walk to tidy up some un-found caches in the area. Since I didn't start work until later I left early to pick up some caches on the way. I had an unsuccessful start to the day with a DNF and two unable-to-be-attempted caches as council workers were in the way.
Last cache of the day and another quick find here. The cache is dangerously close to being eaten up by the road.
Thanks for the cache and the smiley.
