We only just found our first cache and thought we would try our luck as this one was close. Unfortunately today was not the day to find our second.
Came here after soccer and came here before swimming. Found with zeus040. TFTC Thegeocrew
Out with Goldberry17.. The dog areas were quite sodden with rain and once we got to GZ (observed by many many kookaburras) we had a bit of trouble before we eventually found what we were looking for. At first we were on the wrong side of the creek, but after we widened our search, we managed to find it. TFTC.
Found today with 2pods, although a short distance from GZ. Loved the families of kookaburras that grace the area. TFTC
Had been after this one for a while but hadn't quite for round to it Decided today was the day! Thankfully it wasn't too soggy and was a quick find. Some water in the container, not surprising after the recent downpours -but log is nice and dry still. Thanks for placing -now I finally know where the dog park is!!
Found while visiting nephew who trains in the nearby fields for CCM. This dog park is huge, hopefully pets dont get lost or eaten by a snake. The cache container was one tough one, at eye height. Tftc
Too hard for us unfortunately! The lantana was a bit too much for my thonged feet!
Can say the hint is correct but at the time of the search, it made no sense. 2 x Great Danes seem to know I was there and alerted a dog owner, quite a few dogs in the compound at 4pm
It's sad that dog walking has become so institutionalised. Let the dogs run free! A nice find anyway, once I turned around and looked from the right direction.
Gave it a go but turned out to be too good a hide for me. The hint was too cryptic for me.
Mmmm smelly
Took us quite a bit of time even though we roughly knew what we were looking for. Found with another buttpirate!

I think the hardest part of this one was navigating to the dog park. We took the geonobile down three different roads, two of which ended at big fences around the waste-water treatment plant.
We gor there in the end and manages to make our way around the muggles to reach GZ. We had a decent idea of the container we were looking for but our gos was pointing us in the wrong spot. Once we abandoned the gps and trusted our instincts we soon had it.
Thanks for the Cache!

Thanks for the Cache!
I could see myself liking this cache on any other day but not today. Needed the gumboots, they hadn’t mowed because the ground was slop. Started pouring rain half way through. Carpark looks like a place you a find a scorched body in a burnt out car. At least the toilets where open and clean. Tftc
Found with shaneo58, doing some caches around the Central Coast. Looked like rain for the whole day but luckily it held off. Quick find on the way home. Wet log.
Signed log and Cache replaced as found.
**Thanks For The Cache** The GeoKrew.
This makes the 8th cache of 10 for today making a grand total of 3420 at 2:52PM on this Thursday the 16th of December in the Year 2021

Found with BillHill531. Log soaking wet.Added a piece of paper to sign. TFTC The George.
Found with my geogirl, 3rd cache of the day and so thrilled to find it after a big search. The hint was helpful, TFTC!
Thanks for showing me a lovely area I hadn’t been to before! The wetlands had some water but also had a lot of dried mud and the crack patterns in the mud were stunning. The cache had some water in it and the log was a little wet but manageable. I added some fun swappables for the next geo explorers
Took the long way around the field, accompanied by a group of barkers on the other side of the fence. Wandered around quite a bit before spotting the little container. Doesn't seem out of bounds but GPS wander might take you too far unnecessarily. Thanks The GeoKrew.
This was in private counsel property! Wasn’t around in! Please don’t hide things in there # did not find
Found great themed cache . Although check comments as the location is off. New GPS.coords in owner maintenance
What a creative and cool cache with a nice pond with ducks nearby. Gets a fav point from me

Actually it was the Yank who found it... on our second visit. We headed to the dogpark via the pond edge a couple of day's previously. Beautiful evening although pretty smokey. However by the time we got to GZ it was dusk and we abandoned the hunt because it was pretty dark under the trees. Got a neat photo of the sunset on the Ourimbah River though, and had a flock of fruit bats fly overhead as we made our way back along the pond edge homewards. This morning we tried again, this time from the waypoint/entrance to dogpark. Clever cache. Thanks to the cache owner.
Found with Beary_Unicorns, just Miss Unicorn with me today. Very nicely themed cache, and quite easy to find, when you look in the right place. Fave point from me, tftc
Tough find in lantana conditions. I happened to look over at Taylapearce3 and saw it. TFTC!
Drove up from Parramatta today to go to movies with a friend and had time to search for this . Took a while but finally spotted although my GPS said I was 7 mtr away.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Today I headed up to the Wyong racecourse for the annual Central Coast Amateur (HAM) Radio Field Day. And after a fun filled day of HAM radio activities it was now time to head back to Sydney, but I couldn’t resist grabbing a few caches before leaving the Wyong area. This was the 7th of 7 finds for the afternoon.
It took a little while to figure out how to actually get to this one, as the car’s GPS navigator wanted me to go through the locked gates of the Water Board property off Wyong Road, but the correct route was soon determined using a good old fashion hard copy map. Arrived at the dog park and headed off around it’s perimeter towards GZ, observing numerous pooches & owners burning up their energy running around inside the fenced compounds.
At GZ it took much longer than it should have, initially checking in all the wrong types of places and straying too far from the posted coordinates, before finally adjusting my vision and spotting the nicely themed hide. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found.
Took the more direct route for the return journey back to the geomobile, jumping the fence and heading straight across the park, and receiving some affectionate attention from the many excitable pooches along the way (well the shorts needed a wash anyway ). And now it’s time for me to get back onto the Freeway and head for home. TFTC TheGeoKrew.

Checked on cache after last finder mentioned of log missing. Found original cache had been broken and parts missing, so replaced with a brand new but similar cache that is larger, easier and will keep drier than the last.
Did find but sadly has lost the lid and nothing is inside so needs maintenance. But I did like the area!
Nice easy walk and beautiful bird life on the pond, including two black swans. Love the geocache container just needs a new log book, it’s too wet to sign.
Out with the Little Roo this has been on out list for so long it was nice to find some time to finally go find it. Roo signed the log with her favourite geo pen she found in another cache see attached photo you might even recognise it! It was nice to find this dog park I had no idea it was here. We managed to locate the lid near by but it is broken at the hinge TFTC&P GeoKrew!!
Mrs C waited in the car while I did this one. Not many pooches about this afternoon. Disturbed a few bunnies on my walk around the fence line and the bell birds were almost deafening. Approached GZ then walked right past it, turned around and went back, right past it again. There was nothing to be seen on the ground as it looks like lantana clearing had been done (but not very effectively). Then I stopped to gather my thoughts and there it was staring right at me. If it was a snake it would have bitten me, it was close enough. TNLNSL. Cache and log in good shape but container has lost its lid. Thanks geoKrew.
Waiting for skate park to open so thought we would this one. Geo kids quickly located.
Waiting on getting into the skate park with the kids. We thought we would go for a little walk. It is fun for the kids when they find it.
TFTC the stiff breeze did not have the most pleasing smell but we managed to find it and SL!

The Geowife is spending the weekend at a friend's place on the Central Coast, and they'll be doing various crafty things. I gallantly offered to drive her up there early in the morning (her friend will be driving down on Sunday anyway so she can get a lift home).
So, what to do with the rest of my day?
Well, given the fact I've cleared out most of the caches closer to home (ie only the new or can't find / solve are left) any day I can cache well away from my normal haunts means I can go for numbers. Decided to start where I was, work my way to The Entrance and then back down the coast.
Was hoping to make my 4300 milestone but just fell short - two longish DNFs saw to that. But I'll take 23 finds gladly. Even grabbed a puzzle I solved on the fly.
Very enjoyable day - except the first DNF. Must come back up this way again soon.
But so many logs to do...
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Well, Goggle Maps decided to send me the long way. I think it was trying to tell me I could drive all the way to GZ... should have checked the parking options.
Still a nice walk around the water and it took a few seconds to spot the cache. Interesting placement.
I do note that the lid of the container has gone - a new one would keep the contents away from the elements.
Completed signing duties and then back to the car.

Lovely day. I didn't know this dog park was here. Cache quickly found. Ziplock bag replaced as the current one was comprised quite bad. Tfth and for bringing me to a new place
12/6/17. 8:36 AM. Cache #5105.
5th of 5 finds (& 1 DNF) this morning - Lisarow, Ourimbah, Mardi & Tuggerah.
At my previous cache, I had taken a while but eventually found "Corn on the ?". Still had time for one more find. Recent DNFs on "Pipped at the Post" and "Welcome to Tuggerah" made me skip them so instead I went here.
Just one muggle in the park tossing a ball to her pooch, and right up the back of the park a large flock of bin chickens. I chose to go via the trail head, so had to make my way around 2 sides of the doggy park, however the ground here was so wet from the recent rains with big puddles that were hard to avoid. Nothing for it but to get wet shoes & socks.
Once at the trailhead, I made my way uphill to the nearby track, which then led me west to GZ. Back downhill to the trees and I soon spotted the attachment and then the cache. Signed the log and replaced. I had to slosh my way back around again to the car; now it was time to head back to my parents' place for a late breakfast. TFTC.

Most logical pathway was a blocked from recent clearing so we found another for a quick pick up of the cache. All okay despite missing lid. Lantana made the going a tad scratchy making geocaching a blood sport today.

Somehow I hadn't noticed that there was a cache in this area not too far from home. Having a bit of an explore today with wife and son, never knew this park existed. No dogs about so walked through the enclosure and soon found the cache. The lid is off but the contents were OK even though it hadn't been raining this morning. Signed log AOK. As we were leaving a variety of dogs, and their pet humans, turned up. My wife is quite keen to get a dog (a small one), I could tell she was enjoying checking out the dogs.

No muggle dog owners today so I walked thru the dog enclosure & thru the bush (watch out for the prickly bush) with Geopup, my GPSR took me straight to the GZ & a quick grab was made. Interesting hide fav pt from us
I had to come down for an interview and could not miss out on getting at lease one cache in the area.
Found it after a nice walk in the woods.
Was strange having to do it in a suit!
Hopefully this one will give me luck.

It's been a long while but the boys suggested we do some Geocaching.
The amazing thing is you get the opportunity to see things you never knew were there, such as today.

Seeing the size of this one and the area to search, i wasn't sure I would make the find. But about 10 mins of searching and accurate gps, came up with the stash. TFTC!
Taking my dog Duke out for a day caching with me today . So this was the perfect cache to grab , there was only 1 other dog in the grounds today who wasn't very friendly and because Duke had already been walking through other bush tracks with me this morning he didn't much care to run in the fenced area . So we walked around the outside to geozone and after a brief search I saw where I needed to be . The lid is missing from the cache but the log is nice and dry.I also think it is ridiculous to have toilets here that are locked and you need to go to Tuggerah library for the key. Thanks for a nicely themed cache GeoKrew . tnln sl
Not too many muggles and pooches out today, so I was able to sneak around the outside of the fenced area without attracting much attention, although the ground was rather boggy in places after yesterday's rain - good thing I was barefoot.
Passing the waypoint and then finding a suitable spot to head bush, I began my search but for a while it looked like this one was going to elude me too. After much trepidation, I finally decided I should take a leap of faith across to where my GPSr was trying to guide me and began searching for a path of least lantana, now wishing I wasn't barefoot or at least bare-legged.
Once in the correct spot, though, it didn't take me long to discover the cunning hide. Interesting to see also what lies in the big grey area on the map.
Many thanks for the hide in an interesting place.

There were lots of barking and snarling pooches in the dog free area, so I walked around and what do you know? I actually spied it from about 15m away! Not often that happens to me!
Bit discerning wandering around right on top of the workmen but it was a cache I needed to tick off my list. Cache was very hard to extract from container.
Found a reminder of days gone by.

Rode the bike to this one from home. Got to the track waypoint and parked the bike. I then walked around the dam until I got to gz and made a quick find. TFTC
Wow that was an effort carrying the two geokids the whole way! Think thongs were a poor choice too. A bit nervous at GZ but we all survived! Fun hide. Steamy today - managed to work up a sweat walking back to the car. TNLN TFTC

Interesting area, some dogs exercising here today. Great camo, deserves a favourite.
Came here after a days birdwatching on the Central Coast. We'd managed to dodge the rain and finished up at Chittaway Point so this was kind of on the way back to the M1.
Not raining when I got out of the car and of course no one in sight so off I went. Bit wet underfoot but kept walking. By the time I got to the other side of the oval the rain was really coming down. Oh well, I'm a bit wet now so keep going. Spent about 15 minutes looking, no luck but absolutely saturated. Give up - no, I'm so wet what's it matter.
Well, that's the way to think because then I saw it.
SL & sloshed my way back to the car. Now for the drive back to Sydney, if I keep the heater on maybe I'll dry out. (didn't work)

I wasn't planning on coming here today, but after having success much quicker on my days target, another Geokrew cache started barking in my eyes - do me! Do me! - luckily it's within spitting distance of a $1 frozen coke.
Last time I came by here I pulled into the Carpark only to swiftly pull out again for all the 2 and 4 pawed Muggles about... Today there were 2 of each species, and they seemed curious to my presence while I prepared to leave the car - then I realised they were proabably wondering if I had a friendly pooch - and looked a bit confused as this friendly neighbourhood geocacher entered the dog park without a dog. They turned their attention back to their dogs and some sort of agility training, occasionally looking in my direction as I crossed the other field toward the gate - speaking of which, thanks for the WP - I was contemplating scaling the fence when it popped up on my map... Much better option for me, and my skirt and thongs
Anyway, once beyond the fence I wandered along - oddly half of this patch of grass was mown short, the other half, not. When The numbers said yes, I entered the bush and disappeared, finally, from the Muggles view. I crossed the ditch and found a "wetland" I didn't know existed here, which was cool, and when I turned to refocus my attention on the cache, there it was, perched proudly - a very fitting cache, and a bonus point for the uber-cool contact covering on the container . Once I had signed my attendance, I reappeared into muggle-view and crossed the field dog less, and once again the Muggles tried hard not to be noticed paying me too much attention...who knows what they thought I was doing here?
thanks for another great GeoKrew cache - today I got plenty of smiles for the smilies

A short stroll across the training ground, avoiding canine nuggets, and the cache was soon in hand. TNLNSL TFTC
With my time coming to a close at a nearby work place it was time to clean up all the local geocaches that I had been saving for a rainy day. I had been doing a mountain bike unit with a class and only had a small class yesterday so decided to hit the hill and collect the caches we had ridden past so many times before. This was an introduction to geocaching for the students and they loved it!
Today they were all keen to go out and find some more! They came and found me early before class and begged me to take them during lunch so that they had extra time out searching for geocaches. I agreed and we grabbed the gear we needed and headed off.
After finding a couple of other local geocaches I decided this one was next. We made our way out along the dirt road and noticed a couple of dogs barking by the side of the road. They were running along the fence line doing their best to protect their property. We had a bit of a laugh and continued on our way. Less than 50m down the road I noticed a cubby house and a trampoline in the front yard of a house. I was having a look at the kid size cubby house when a big black head poked out, then a body came out. What looked like a horse walked out of the cubby house! It wasn't untill the horse started to bark that we realised it was a HUGE dog!!! Apparently the cubby house is it's kennel!
The dog had a bellowing bark and jumped up onto the trampoline to continue barking at us! It was a pretty impressive sight and there were a number of comments along the lines of "Oh My God, how big is that dog!!" and "Holy shit it is as big as a horse!".
We continued riding along the trail until we got to a section we had to ditch our bikes and climb through the fence. We made our way to the GZ and made a quick find. Signed the logs and made our way back.
On the way back the huge dog was waiting for us on his trampoline and his bark echoed throughout the land. One of the boys started pedaling quickly to get away and in the process of doing so, his chain came off, the bike started to buckle and the seat started jumping around in a very painful place for him! Another laugh was had by all when we realised no serious damage had been done and we made our way back.
TFTC cheers

After doing a few caches enroute to Westfield where I had to run an errand for my wife this morning, I made sure that my trip back home also took me via a few unfound caches in the area. This one was a straightforward find (indeed, I saw the cache from about 5m away) but getting there proved to be a bit tricky. Initially, I tried to get there from Ibis Rd but came unstuck when I came upon a cyclone fence around Council's sewerage treatment complex. I then had to get to the parking area via a circuitous route along Geoffrey and Church Rds. Luckily noone was exercising their dog while I was there ... I'm sure that someone crossing the grassed area without a dog would have attracted unnecessary attention!

Last cache for the day. Found with Haydos101.What a great area for dog lovers to exercise their 4 legged friends. Into the bushes and got the co-ord. Looking, looking, found it! Love this cache camo. A fav from me. Thanks The GeoKrew.
A slight detour home from work, brought me to this cache. Pulling up I was thankful no one was around, as I didn't have a dog with me. Open my door, and a car pulls up right next to me, and yes they had a dog. Oh Well! Maybe make it look like I was looking for something. Well I was really wasn't I. So I got a fix on the position, and headed this way, but then the phone said it was over there. Is that a gate in the fence. Yep, righto I will walk that way then. In a round about way I found GZ, watching out for rabbit holes along the way as I didn't want to do an Alice. Spotted the cache straight away, probably from the angle I was at helped. Nice job on the hide. TFTC. Day 13/31 5/6. 715 Total.
Stack of dogs running around in very wet and muddy grounds today, every step toward GZ was an inch under water, crossed the creek did a rabbit run with geo dog around the pond then back to GZ. Perfect co ords, fitting camo. TFTC.
Today my delivery job took me pretty far down this way, so I thought I should find a cache or two. In this area this was one of the few caches with a terrain above one point five and it was on the right (well actually left) side of the road. And that is how I pick my caches. I went to the wrong side of the cache and was looking at the waste water treatment plant entrance, but there was no way through, so I did a massive lap of the block and finally found the entrance to the dog park. I did not read the description first as I had not planned to come down here today, in fact I was lucky to have it in my handheld, as I had been to the full moon event down here yesterday and had not put my normal pocket query back on yet. The park had a couple people in it (more then I would have thought for a midday Tuesday) and I had a nice walk around the outside of the fence. At GZ I spotted the cache immediately despite its lovely camouflage colours. I really loved this area, not so much as a dog park, as I do not have a dog, but the picturesque swamp and the water treatment facility (I love large engineering processes).
Thanks for showing me a part of this area on my travels!

Oh dear our Dog Coco use play ground with my mums dog and my daughter's dog many time... I saw heaps poo on the ground... No one pick poo up.... Took 15 mins look around found cache... Hide well... Thank geokrew ....
A pong from the pond and a cute flopsy bunny greeted us as we approached GZ. The cache was cleverly designed and placed in an area which Wyong Shire Council should be congratulated for developing. TFTC, GeoKrew.
I was parked in the Bunnings carpark and I looked for nearby caches on my iPad. There it was 850 metres away, and I just had to have a look. Parked in the parking area and entered the co-ords into my etrex10. I made the big mistake of not following the instructions and found myself fenced in and I had to climb a fence, with injured ribs It was a difficult event. The co ords were spot on after I waited for a short time, showing 0 metres. Looked up the clue on the iPad and there it was within easy reach. Good cammo. SL and returned as found. Cache is dry and in good condition. Thanks once again for a great hide in an interesting area which I did not know existed.
We did have our little old dog with us here, but as she can only walk or wobble about 30cm at a time, I carried her to GZ and back. A shame, as these are excellent facilities and there were plenty of dogs running around or making friends. At first I couldn't see anything at GZ, then grabbed our prize with a laugh. Mr GeoKrew must have had fun with this, thanks for a great themed cache, we really liked this one.
