An easy tofind, this one. And a peace of history to see.Team Mavos - Albert and Maria
We have been on the road now for nearly 2 weeks but we have been on time restraints. Today is our first day with spare time and this is our third cache for the day. Loving this interesting town. TFTC

Love it when I find a Freddo cache in the wild.I have been working on the rail way.Freddo and e.gregory1 were heading up the middle of Australia following Stuart's well trodden route. We were travelling in air conditoned comfort and style. No stale food. No camels to carry water. We were leaving the cold winter for the northern season.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is the twentieth and ninth day of Julius Caesar's Month in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a cool cloudy and raining. No wind today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Quick park and grab here this afternoon with Deefa71. Greetings from Perth. Tftc
We found your cache today 2 July 2024 2:04pm , while enjoying another day in our beautiful countryside. TFTC Lumpyjrb
Nothing but a rock and a broken lid. Wazza9 replaced container. Stamped log and tried to hide. Thanks to CO
A nice cache spot here. Fire has caused its mark, unfortunately. Just a scrap of paper left and a bit of lid. Sorry I couldn't replace it, I wish I had had a few spares so I hope someone can. I did leave a little rock on what tiny bit of paper is left but it really needs a replacement. So much fire and burning off everywhere.
The cache seems to have been destroyed by fire. We found bits and pieces but were unable to do anything with them.
Found while on our adventures across 3 states, WA, NT & Qld for several months. Thanks for bringing us here.
Quick find and sign as we left town heading South.

Well my whirl wind tour of 5 states in 3 weeks has started and after reaching the SA border and now the NT border it was time to locate a few caches here or there as I won’t be doing that much caching on this trip as I’m with muggle friends.
So after a great few days in Litchfield NP I decided to ditch the other couple but that is for another story.
So after drive up to Darwin and back yesterday it was time to head back south to were I end up for the night.
With the van in tow I had to be selective of which caches I could stop for and Pine Creek is a great little spot to get out and stretch the legs.
Great to see not everything has been removed from the old railway line.
A lot of history up here to do with the railway.
Thanks Lumpyjrb TFTC.

On our travels we stopped to grab this cache, a nice new log has be placed and cache is ok, thanks for placing it
Darwin to Adelaide Road Trip
Day Three: Darwin to Mataranka.
Weather: perfect
For a panicked moment there, I thought that there may be climbing involved. The lid does look damaged, contents are dry, and ample room in the log pages. Thanks for this hide Lumpyjrb.
It’s officially a mega - GCA1DNA “The Great Leap Forward”

Not sure what maintenance was done here as the lid is still busted and the log absolutely full. TFTC anyway. Sign may not be deciphered due to space.
Another interesting bit of history, and an easy cache trail to follow. Log book is almost full. TFTC!
From Darwin to Katherine today, stopped by Pine Creek for lunch and some caches too. Interesting history of the area. Container bit bigger than a nano now. TFTC
Heading to Darwin with iluvtrekking and after overnighting in Katherine grabbing some finds enroute. Quick find thanks Lumpyjrb

On our way from Nitmiluk Nationalpark to Kakadu Nationalpark we made a short stop at Pine Creek for a short rest and to get refueled.
As we saw that there are some caches around here, we decided to visit some of them and read the stories about the former history.
Thanks for this cache and regards from Switzerland.

Although this cache is relativly easy we needed some time before spotting the Container
On the way from Kakadu to Litchfield we stayed on a campground in Pine Creek for one night. Geocaching was more complicated than usual as we found ourselves without any internet connection. Apparently, our French provider doesn't have a contract with Telstra...
A nice cache in a historical spot.

On the slow trip home from Darwin now, staying in Katherine for a few days enjoying the warmth and few local attractions before moving on. Today we travelled from Kakadu and stopped at Pine Creek for a few caches.
Almost gave up on this one but as a last resort I scanned the surroundIng ground and picked up what should not have been there. I replaced where it would be logical. It needs a new log sheet, I signed the end as it would not come out.
**Thanks for placing this cache Lumpyjrb**

Thanks to Liz and Bruce for replacing the cache - another one where visitors are keeping the caches around here active that were abandoned by their owners.
Thanks Lumpyjrb.

Heading to Darwin after the Townsville mega. Thanks for arranging and hiding. Completed maintenance as required.
After a great trip around half the country, up the west coast to Darwin via Kunnunura, Katherine, a amazing two weeks in Darwin, out to Jabiru and Litchfield. Down the middle to Alice Springs then on to Millicent for the Geoventure2020 (in 2021).
We then hit the road to cross the WA border before it closed due to a few cases in SA.
Now we are home with a few of the repairs finished, it is nice to have an opportunity to catch up on logging some finds that need more information as part of the logging requirements, and some that we forgot to log on our trip.
A huge thank you to all the COs along our travels.
