My husband and i are Up from Brisvegas on a weekend away enjoying the sunshine and finding some caches along the way. This was out first find for today and at GZ it was a quick find. What a great day to be a geocacher. Thanks for all the fun.
TFTC Found with my geo-munchkins AmazingGracieGrace & MissCharlieBear & our geo-puppy. Dent in GC prevented AGG from grabbing some bunny SWAG. Dropped SWAG however, then Signed log & RAF.
TFTC youngoldfella your cache Millis Way that we found today as we made our way south for Christmas. This was our first overnight stop. After setting up we headed for a short caching run. Found this one on the ground, put it back as best we could.Find Count: 17230 .
Out and about collecting a few caches along the way.
Last time I was in town, I tried squeezing up an old bush trail towards this one but turned back. Today it was a driven by.

Was a lovely day for a round of golf but, unfortunately, we had more important things to do, like finding caches. This one was nice speedy find. Thanks youngoldfella
We used the space provided on the main road to pull over and popped across to GZ, where the cache was quickly located. Plenty of cars, but none could see us! Now off for a game of golf? TFTC, youngoldfella. =^.^=
A very last minute decision sees me driving a couple of hours north to spend the day in Nanango…
A great day driving the country roads collecting a variety of caches…
I went round the tree a couple of times, before I finally spotted the container on the ground…
Thanks youngoldfella

Stopping in Nanango for a couple of days, no need to rush to QOGM 22. Got into the caravan park early and set off for some caches. Some caches were damp, but understandably after the amount of rain the area has had. Great containers John and easily with standing the natural elements. Only one DNF on todays adventure.

Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

Two old Tassies having another go at a few caches not too far out, fitting them in between other necessities for the day. Got a fair string this arvo. including this one which was aneasy grab for a driveby. Thanks for many of today's finds youngoldfella.
We had planned a road trip to Queensland to visit family in 2021, but our travel plans were stalled due to border closures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that the world was trying to get back to a semi normal state, we decided to have another go at getting away from the cold and head up north for some sunshine and warmth.
Day 13 - Staying in Nanango for a few days to catch up with family. We decided to go for a drive to Kingaroy to head to the peanut factory to later find out it is actually closed for tours. Damn Covid. But still liked checking out the place and picking up a few caches even visited the Peanut van when we had finished.
All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise mentioned.
Thanks youngoldfella for the placements and keeping this hobby alive.

Found nice and high and dry in the rain. Do it for the live rain and all.
A lovely morning driving around the area picking up smileys and this is one we found. We parked around the corner and walked over to GZ. The cache was spotted log signed snd replaced as found. Thanks for this one youngoldfella.
There is something really special about paperback trees. They are just so unique and all of these trees should be protected species. That is my view anyway. I love them. We quickly found the cache and no have 45 finds for the day. TFTC.
It's been far too many months since The Bromance last went on a weekend geocaching road trip so plans were made a couple of weeks ago for a journey north towards Kingaroy and the surrounding area. Unfortunately Crookedpete was unable to make it due to family commitments so it was a Bromance Lite+ trip of JezNDez, Swellerfungus and Seffnjarah.
With Swellerfungus still on the road to recovery from an ankle operation he has been a literal passenger for most of the day. Dez managed to pilot Victor Del Prado close enough to GZ for Swellerfungus to finally contribute a find for the day. Signed the logbook with The Bromance team stamp. TFTC

On way to Brisbane so time to visit a local and cache find. TFTC youngoldfella
After a 13k walk around town yesterday picking up smileys it sure was nice to drive to this one.ThanksYOF
The drive today continued north and we picked up a couple of caches along the way to guide us along the chosen route. Our destination for the night was Nanango. This cache was an easy find and signing duties were soon done, along with ilook4geo, and all was put back where it belonged. Thank you to youngoldfella for giving us a reason to visit here by placing this cache. We have enjoyed the day of caching today,
This was another successful find in the day of caching and travel with goingplaces2. All was good with the cache and duties were soon done. Time to move on again. TFTC.
Out caching with the Tough Mothers (Jemillalucy, Bennyboppers and Lisylou). TFTC!
Very quick find with bennyboppers mnance101 and jemillalucy today, we drove right up to it and could see from the car. Tftc
This was our second weekend out in Nanango travelling the highways and byways searching for Hidden Creatures, finding caches and logging smileys . We dodged truckies and trailers , mud puddles and muggles and clambered over all manner of obstacles in search of the final prizes, all the while trying to keep dry in the drizzle. Thanks to all the CO’s for their efforts in making this a most enjoyable trip. TNLN TFTC .
Crew 153 and I had big plans to try and get 100 caches in a day today.
However, Crew 153's Ford Falcon had other ideas and brought us to a screeching halt at cache number 50 by blowing its fuel pump.
We were both calm and collected about it. We still got 50 caches. Car got safely towed to Kilcoy. Mr Slow Puncture came and rescued us.. and there are still more than enough caches out there for us to try again. There ends my "cut and paste" part of the log
Crew 153 and I did try a more direct route from "Grey Street" - but apparently his car GPS lied. Around we went. We pulled up at GZ and thankfully I made a relatively quick find. I signed the log. It was a little damp inside but the logbook is in good condition. Thankfully the area was quiet today. TFTC youngoldfella

Fangsoki and I had picked this area for a day of caching to find caches for the Hidden Creatures Souvenirs and after an early start I finally finished the day with a total of 53 finds when we struck engine trouble and had to abort the mission.
This cache was find number 49 for the day.
At last we were heading out of town for the next section of our tour. The cache was quickly found

Out west on a sunny weekend and stopped over in Nanango overnight. The motel owner was creepy so maybe won’t stay there again
Parked up and checked out the sign and soon had the cache in hand

Visiting Nanango for Easter with a bonus of some caching. Quick find with great clues. TFTC
Except for the fact that we had been caching all morning we would have had a game of golf. Although it was a new log there was water in the cache. Kutgw
Cache and contents run over by slasher. Log destroyed, could not be signed. Thanks
I have recovered the original now mower damaged container and replaced it with a black camo small PVC container. Only one ends pulls off. Not at ground level. Covered with the same material of that of the tree.
Found the container and contents on the ground. Looks as if has been run over by the slasher. No log to sign. Replaced remains in tree.
We are now heading off from Nanango and moving onto Kingaroy to the Burke and Wills hotel where we are staying tonight. But calm the farm, there is nothing stopping us from picking up a few roadies on the way, we don’t want to waste all that sunscreen that has just been reapplied to ourselves, better get back out in the country sun.
We are just randomly grabbing a few caches as we go as we know we will be back out for another weekend as there are so many caches out here and we have only put a small dint in them. There are still more colour coded caches than smileys for our liking!
We made a quick park and grab here and entered in to find what we were after. We forgot our golf clubs, that we don’t own, otherwise we could have had a round of golf…

Out and about in the area for two days caching in the Nanango and Kingaroy region. And this is Day 1.
A quick find here today as it was out in the open. A few bits of paperbark had the cache hidden from sight.
Thanks for the cache.

Heading for home with 1MinnieMoo and wombles after a fun adventure out this way. Thankfully 1MM's headache dulled a little so we could create a few smileys along the way.
Cute little cache guardian at this one! Another quick find, we left our scribble and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache youngoldfella

What a cute cache guardian we found here! We were careful not to annoy him and signed and replaced the log without disturbing him.
13/8/17, 10:23 am Find #1091
Well this was without doubt our cutest find of the day. Headed on over to extract from its hiding place a cache with an unbelievably cute guardian on top - the sweetest little froggy, which we were very careful not to disturb more than necessary, and after taking photos and signing the log we returned him to his happy place.
Thanks for the cache youngoldfella.

For some time I've been meaning to get back to visit the Burnett region, and today was the day. An early start was made and a 12.5 hr day driving 650km through Blackbutt, Yarraman, Nanango, Kingaroy, Murgon, and up to Boat Mountain.
On the way to Kingaroy this looked like a good place to stop. Found after a short search, thanks **youngoldfella** for bringing us here, this find makes smilie #3338. Discover our trackable TGQNRV .

Travelling around Australia and now super excited to be finally starting our trek to the Easter Geocaching Event at Alice Springs.
When we arrived in Nanango yesterday we were undecided on how long to stay [?] Maybe 4,5 or even 7 nights. Things to see and sooo many caches in this region.
Today we headed out to Kingaroy with an long list of caches to attempt. We did pretty well with 30finds but the car started coughing and sputtering so we limped into Kingaroy with our fingers crossed. Leaving the Geocruiser to be looked at we headed into town then realised we had left our GPSr in the car so out with the phone and we decided to look for a few more caches we had been studying last night.
Very hot out today but caching was a good way to pass the day. All the caches we found were in good condition. And now the decision seems to have been made we are in Nanango for a week (but without the GeoCrusier[B)] )

Wow! We've finally cached our way to Nanango. This one was quickly found and 5 little brown frogs had taken up residence on the container. They hopped away when I disturbed them but will probably be back. Thanks.
another day of our touring through QLD. Thanks to all the CO's for the caches that break the monotony of travelling, and adding to our list of smileys.
After struggling with a hitchhiker bug that needed to be dealt with at the last cache, I decided that this cache might be a little less buggy! Its not easy being a kiwi in Aussie where the locals are trying to bite or devour you (I know I'm paranoid, but just cant deal with snakes and spider really!)
Had a great trip from Kingaroy to Brisbane, TFTC!

Had to make a trip up north so I decided to grab some caches on the way and add some smilieys. no swaps. TFTC
Decided to go for a drive today with the GeoWife and clean up a few green icons along the way. Plenty of fun finds and great caches. Thank you for placing the caches to be found. Tftc
With the day off work, we decided a road trip was in order and Nanango was to be our destination.
A storm was looking like it was going to roll in at anytime soon
Cache was found quickly, so we hot footed it to the next cache
Thanks youngoldfella
