Went out Leeston way to perform maintenance on one of our caches. Now a wee detour to get some caches for us. This was a great hide which we overlooked the first time. Came back and then spotted something different and wow it was the cache. What a fun cache hide, Thanks for this cache TheWanglers.

Day #4 of my 11 day holiday and heading to Akaroa for the week.
This took longer than it should have (focussing on the wrong bits again) but then I looked at the right spot at the right time and bingo...that has to be it! Sure enough soon had log in hand ready to sign TFTC

On our way home from Birdling's Flat ... 1 final cache along the roadside to make the trip even better! I really like these kinds of hides...there's just something about them being hidden in plain sight that I appreciate and this one gave me the opportunity to educate a muggle about some of the different hides too Wink
TFTC!

28-Nov-21
Very cool. TFTC

27-Oct-21
I very nearly made that look harder than it needed to be! Having wandered back & forth a bit I decided that one of the first things I'd looked at needed further investigation. Of course it was the cache.

9980. Today was the beginning of another South Island road trip. This time the plan was to pick up geotour caches on Banks Peninsula before heading over to the West Coast. We also have a lot of Adventure Labs to target in far flung towns during the trip. I flew down with geocaching buddy Infoferret to work on a lot of mutually interesting caches and share the costs of a rental car. We stopped here as this cache had a lot of favourites. IF was attracted to the flowers in the nearby field. I now remember this cache (that is a the problem when you start logging finds 250+ caches later after the road trip is finished). It took a bit of searching but the sharped eyed member of our team spied it and soon had the cache in hand. All good here. Thanks TheWanglers for hiding the cache here.

My Mum's weekend away started with cake for lunch in Tai Tapu. Then with hours to make the short journey to Akaroa it was time for some caches. I was able to hand pick which caches I felt like stopping for as I had nothing planned and unfortunately nothing loaded on the GPSr. This one seemed like a straight forward one and with space to park mentioned I decided to give it a go. I'm not sure I would want all caches to be this sneaky but I do enjoy the odd one like this. So glad it wasn't the first of this style hide I had found because it blended in well with what was around it. Good hint and cache, no wonder it has so many fav points.

30-Apr-21
Third cache of weekend away, found log to come after I get home.

I write "WRITE NOTE" because it is a time when we can't go on a long adventure, so I travel in the memories of my visits to New Zeusemad. Of this adventure in New Zealand, I only stretch Travel Bug. Writing "FOUND IT" is probably not right anymore, it wasn't today, but I was here before. And unfortunately I won't get here again.

I am sending a beautiful greeting from the Czech Republic. Smile

28-Oct-20
Team BOP on another crazy mission to the South Island. Lockdown gave us a lot of free time that we directed into Canterbury’s many Geo-Arts and with the Auckland 2020 Mega postponement, Christchurch was an easy decision. Team BOPs current incarnation is DavidsonClan, NZFlossy, McJandals and myself and we’ve signed all the logs as Team BOP to save time and log space.

So it's Labour Weekend 2020, it’s a numbers mission and today we're here having a wander around Akaroa. This cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords, a straight forward placement and a good hint. A good find to end the day with - didn't fool us at all - Cheers TheWranglers & TFTC

27-Oct-20
With the Mega Covid cancelled this year a part of Team BoP decided to come south and try get all our solved puzzles, and some others along the way. So here we are!

I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these cache. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

27-Oct-20
As Auckland Mega has been postponed we decided to do a trip south to Christchurch. Four of us from Team BOP joined up to share a car and accomodation. I always love these weekends as the company is great and makes our days and nights out caching lots of fun. We have done lots of puzzles in preparation and did some long windy roads to get them. Found lots of great caches and thanks to all the COs for the effort that goes into these Please excuse the copied logs and I will try to make some individual notes on as many as I can This sort of trip is where I find the cachly app very valuable. TFTC

Realising that we were looking for a classic Wanglers' camo here, the cache was quickly found. The log is frayed and fragile, so we added a piece of sticky backing paper to provide some extra support. TFTC!

04-Oct-18
Today we made a trip over the Peninsula, beginning in Littleton, then Governors Bay, Diamond Harbour, Port Levy, Pigeon Bay, Okains Bay, Robinson Bay, Arakoa, and then back to Christchurch in order to see that many sightseeing points along the road. On this trip we searched, found and logged a lot of caches, too. The weather was beautiful, sunny, very warm, a little bit cloudy, and only sometimes there was some wind.
Almost no muggels observed us as they had to drive their cars on the not too easy roads on the Peninsula.

Thanks to TheWanglers for showing us this location and for the fun we had at Guardian (Canterbury). The search we had here today didn't take too much time.

Greetings from Germany and hope to see you soon in the forest.

No rain, no work, perfect reason to go on a caching adventure! A lot of fun except one cut on the finger ad one poke into the eye. 200km in the car, which involved a slight backtrack for an unexpected errand, and 20k steps. Overall a very nice day! Thanks to all the CO's for placing and maintaining the caches!! Cool Smile

Log has been replaced by tandem. Cheers
