We are heading up to the Shepparton Marathon and taking the long way via Echuca. The plan is to get 20 geocaches in the Campaspe and Moira LGAs and at least 1 cache in whatever NSW LGA Moama is in. Then get at least 4 caches in the Shepparton LGA. Not sure it will happen with our tight schedule, but will see how it goes.

Only got 16 geocaches in Moira LGA yesterday, so todays plan has changed. After doing photography duties at the start of the Marathon, it's time to head North and collect a few geocaches, hopefully in time for the end of the race.

The 2 geocaches in Wunghnu were my backup ones for the Moira LGA and finding the 4 I needed, I didnt need to get them. But with enough time in hand, I thought why not. With good coordinates, I found this one quickly in the expected spot.

Thanks for the cache Cyber Gran V

Found by the light of my headlamp.
Headed to Wunghu for a drink tonight at 5ish, but they were closed, despite the website saying they were opened until 7?! go figure.
Settled on a long walk instead.
There was water inside the cache and no log to sign so I took a pic of the cache ID.
I didn't have my geocaching bag in the car so I didn't have any replacement logs or snap lock bags.
If I happen past this way again I will replace it for you Cybergran.

Today we traversed around the flat country side following many wetlands, creeks and rivers, wow what a great plase to visit. We found many caches and this was one of them.

Dodging the rain we made our way around the eastern side of the showground trying not to get tooooo wet!. Cache and contents were in good condition, love the hide!.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

It’s always great to clear out a town. Well today we cleared out Wunghnu (one ewe) of it’s two caches!
A quick drive down here from Numurkah where we wandered around, made stick boats to launch from the bridge and found the two caches.
A cool container and a beautiful peaceful location by the river
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache Cybergran V

27,387. Found with minniek during our long weekend trip down to the Geelong Region.

With a Community Celebration Event on offer yesterday, and my son living nearby, minniek and I decided to make a mini long weekend of it and come down from Goulburn for some quality caching and social events. Finding an evening event at a camp ground was just the perfect end to a perfect day. We left Goulburn at 2pm Friday and arrived at our hotel in Geelong that night at 10pm - perfect ! Up early yesterday morning for a whole variety of caches and locations. We finished up camping and attending the BBQ and Sunset Event (or Swag and Snag Event as some called it) which was great. This morning we broke camp and drove to Hoppers Crossing to visit my son. After that we started the long haul home via some new counties. We stopped here for a quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.

Thanks Cybergran V !!

Fitzy_1965 and I made a plan to head to Melbourne this weekend to visit his son who lives near Geelong. The Community Celebration Event at Geelong yesterday sealed the deal.

After a fantastic event last night, we headed to bed just before the rain started. It was wonderful going to sleep with the sound of it on the tent. A bit of a sleep-in saw us the last of the overnight campers to leave. We weren’t heading to this morning’s event near Ballarat as counties were more of a priority as we cached our way home. Packed up and on our way just before the rain started again!

All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned. Thanks so much for bringing us here today.

Based in Yarrawonga, we set out for a day's caching in delightful spring weather. It turned out to be an "ALDI day --GOOD- DIFFERENT!
A number of finds, quite a few DNF's, Jumpers off to stay cool! Jumpers on to avoid the prickles, a few tracks impassible (for us) - a very interesting day! No muggles, but lots of long grass.

**FEEDBACK TO CO:** The weather has taken its toll, there is water in the container, making for a wet log. Future seekers would appreciate a fresh log when CO can get around to it, please.

Thanks Cybergran V for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

#4302 Passing through the area and used the area adjacent to gz for a lunch break. Following that wandered very carefully the 30 or so metres to gz over the crispy dry grass. No issue spotting the cute hide in its home. I think that’s the first time we have unscrewed a snout during our caching career . TFTC Cybergran and I believe we have now cleaned up Wunghnu as we found the other cache in town some 6 years ago.

A fun trip with n0w0rries +Wife and the canines to Shepparton to celebrate 9 months to the next Mega event.

On our way up to check out a train... any regular sized cache is welcome, as I need to log many more for a challenge.

I guessed one as we tumbled out of the car, and n0w0rries another. Turns out this was the piggie in the middle.

Nice one, Cybergran V

Headed here after work today as part of a slightly crazy mission to pick up a cache for the LGA Polygon challenge cache. After finding a few LGAs recently I noted two in central north Vic that I could knock off with a road trip. Left work in Frankston at 4.30pm and picked up one the way in Greater Shepparton. Heading over the border into Moira I had a DNF nearby so headed here as my back up option. Pretty hot and dusty but no wriggly sticks to be seen tonight and I was able to make a pretty quick find at this one. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache Cybergran V and for helping me tick off another LGA. Back home at 11pm after an eventful evening behind the wheel and two cache finds.

New cache close to Shepparton[?]Surprised[?]Cool That doesn't happen too often at all!
So what better plan than to grab Cybergran V and go for a quick late afternoon caching run! [^]Big GrinRazz
Today though, Rex came with us Cool as he was feeling a lot better than he had yesterday and he had recovered from the anaesthetic. Smile

Only 3 caches were looked for tonight and I found all 3 Smile
Finally I have made in into this cache (under the watchful eye of the CO) and Rex had a ball jumping on his back legs [:o)] and then running and barking [:o)] at a mob of cattle that were wandering around on the road about 200m from the cache, seems mobs of cattle scare him still Wink

As I have been about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up. Sad
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! Cool[^]CoolSmile
Rex and I have had some amazing adventures and enjoyed some incredible moments thanks to this fantastic hobby SmileBig GrinCool

Found by Aussie Train Driver 16/08/2018, find number 1330.
Catching up on some belated logging this morning.
I must have been having a bad morning when I found this cache - it took me far longer than it should have to locate! After much fruitless searching I eventually spied the cache and added my name to the log book.
This was a beautiful spot in the early morning light, thanks to the CO for bringing me here.

With school holidays upon us again Team Clarmensma (me, becca85 and our 5 kids - AdamSistema, LukeSistema, chan02, neisha07 and boo09) teamed up for a mini road trip to Shepparton and surrounds. We had borrowed my father in laws 7 seater car so it was all of us in the geo car with plenty of tears and laughter! Today was our second day and we found a heap of caches as we made the "long way" back home (Ballarat/Maryborough). An easy find here - many thanks for the cache in such a stunning location!

Lovely spring afternoon and our week at Numurkah is slipping away. Pulling up 25m from gz, geowife declared she was not going in there. So it fell to me to chance the slithery things and boy was l careful. Plenty of evidence of flooding and plenty of grass growth and l did my usual meandering before the gpser directed me to gz. It was where l would put it and so all that remained was to get the log out. That took 5 minutes because of one of the trades being somewhat large. Eventually success. Thanks for this one.
