What a sad cache for such a pleasant spot. Not many campers here today so we could search without worry. Initially found nothing after lifting a few rocks but on digging deeper a water logged ziplock bag was found with a mouldy log book. This is a poor spot to hide a cache as it will fill with water everytime it rains and unless the CO can come up with a better container or hide then this one is doomed to die a miserable death.
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
TaurusDix and I stopped here after our last cache.
There was a group right at GZ, but they were packing up. So we went for a walk, the sat by the creek. We saw some piled rocks that were placed skilfully.
Unfortunately while there I spotted some boguns had set up an open air toilet right next to the creek.
After a while the coast was clear and we found the cache in a poor condition already explained recently.
Thanks for the hint in a really nice area.

Morning tea and a cache as well - what more could you want? TFTC. As noted before, the logbook is wet and not really protected.
Heading north to Brisbane today and decided to detour for a country drive. I made a short stop at this one on my way back from frying pan creek campground. The area was very quiet today and after parking nearby headed to GZ and retrieved the cache. Unfortunately there's no container onlly a wet plastic bag with a very wet logbook. I was still able to sign the book but it will need a bit of maintenance by the CO.

More of an offset multi than a traditional geocache really. I expect a traditional to be found at the listed coords. The cache needs some love, as per previous finders. We got there in the end, despite Muggles being all but camped on top of it.

With Hoojar, a quick stop on the way back home after being camped at Chichester for the Long Weekend. TFTC
After a bit of a hunt around the caching team found the cache and I'm sure we raised the suspicion of a few of the campers here.

I rummaged around GZ for quite some time an was sure i had the correct location but could see nothing. Even taking a look a second time and still couldn't see anything. Big Matt took the plunge and not only came up with muck and dirt but a cache that sure didn't look like the usual cache container we were all looking for. Understandably the logbook was saturated, this really needs some TLC.
This cache was found at around 1446 and brings our overall cache find tally to 9431.
Found this one with the Usat's, Hancocks and Tronodor today whilst in the area. A bit of a tough one today and not a great cache to be honest. With no container everything was soaking wet and all a bit yuck.
Thanks mooreofthem for the cache.

We thought this one had gone walkies until Big Matt delved a little deeper and found a soggy log in a zip back. No container unfortunately, it needs some TLC. A nice spot though. TFTC

Ran for the cache against b0tmun. I won but it was DK who came up with the find. Found with b0tmun, nibletricecakes, darkonas delights, jdogmonkey, LTR, DK, MNJ and k8tybee
The race was on for the cache with Minniek and botmun both having a look at gz and thinking it was empty. Dk persisted and came up very dirty and grinning from ear to ear. Tftc!
We found the co-ords out a bit for this one but found it in the end, did not camp here for the night, decided to camp over near Ladies Wells.
I'm going to head up this way on 11 Sep 16, I'll fix the case up then, I'll keep you posted.
I found this case with my cousins and after having and hour drive there was disappointing surprise that the case was destroyed by mufflers when we got there their the remains of a case with no toys and the log book torn apart. I would recommend remaking it and putting it in a les obvious spot to mugglers to find
Disappointing to find a ruined cache that was broken after such a long journey to it. We found all the pieces all over the ground. Needs fixing/ new cache.
Thanks for letting me know about the condition of the cache. When the weather fines up I'll head out and fix it up.
This cache was very quickly found, especially after taking the hint into account. All was well with the container and contents, so the log soon had our name on it and we were on our way. Thank you mooreofthem for placing this cache and for giving cachers a reason to explore this beautiful place.
After getting an invite to go camping near Chichester Dam in Telegary Forrest with The_Garbageman, TOMBI! And grandson, The Mighty_Minions and Team737, we met at the Dungog sign and set off to find some caches.
We came here to camp and finished literally right next to this one, the GPS’s however putis near the water. The clue eventually brought us back to the right spot. Log and cache were both very wet, and needed drying out before being able to sign the log.TFTC

After an invite to go camping up at the Barrington Tops to get an old old cache and and new D/T grid square I was very excited and so was my son. It turned out to be an amazingly fun weekend with my son, BillHill531, The_Garbageman, The Mighty Minions and Team737. A few caches, lots of laughs, a couple bags of marshmallows, but no DNFs.
After visiting the logging museum, we came here. First we looked for this cache. While the others were heading into the stream I took the high road and made the find. Unfortunately it was quite wet so we left it to dry. We set up our tents, then headed over to Frying Pan, came back here had dinner and desert (marshmallows) before the log was finally dry enough to sign. Then it was time for bed.
Thanks for telling us where to camp and for the cache!

This weekend was an absolute belter. A random plan to head to the Barringtons with team 737, led to a multiple family camping weekend, with kids from all families making new friends, having late night roasted marshmallows, and their mums and dads having some quality time and maybe a quiet beer or wine. And not a DNF in sight! Thanks to Lee737, Samuel737,TOMBI!,Billhill531 and the Mighty Minions for coming along.
I managed to pitch my tent within ten feet of this cache. A good spot for a weekend away. We really did have a good time - but not as good as the crew at the other end of the camp having a 21st birthday here!
Weirdly though, the cache took us a bit of stumbling around to find it, as the GPS was determined to take me down into a grove of trees about 7m away. Clue saved us. Much more obvious than we had expected.
Cache was soaked and starting to rot, so we parked it next to the fire overnight and dried it out. We also rebagged it, and cleaned out the inside of the container. Had to chuck the rotting pencil. BYO pen from now on. My spare pen collection would not fit in the cache, sorry. TNLN TFTC

A group of us were in Chichester State Forest for a camping/geocaching weekend. We had advice that camping here would be better than Frying Pan due to motorbikes not being allowed.... so instead of motorbikes we had to contend with a noisy (but reasonably well behaved) 21st birthday next to us.
As it turned out we camped literally at GZ, so took the liberty of drying the soaked logbook by our fire during the evening, then lovingly rebagging it back in the now dry container.
In this place a more water-tight container might be preferable.

This weekend me,my dad,my brother,TOMBI!,the_garbageman,Billhill531 and the Mighty Minions came to the forest to camp for the night. We found nine caches and had great fun camping for the first time. The open fire was one of my favourite parts.TFTC Mooreofthem
the garbageman kindly invited me along to this overnight camping and caching trip , So we joined him TOMBI, BillHill531, Lee737 and Samuel737 for the fun . we pulled up and as I was getting my gps sorted and walking towards the creek the rest of the group had made the find. we set up camp and had a wonderful time toasting marshmallows and sitting around the fire chatting . The weather was wonderful and so was the company . The neighbours were a little noisy but that just added to the experience . Thanks for the cache mooreofthem tnln sl
TFTC had to wait until the family nearby weren't watching. Thankfully most went to the creek so only had to time retrieval with the muggle dad. Log is damp and very difficult to sign.
#2913 (3 of 6 today) (Streak day 325)
Going to the Supanova convention on the Gold Coast. Decided to drive because if I do I can plunder areas I've never cached in before... And there is one cache I can divert for on the way up.
Grabbed 6 out of 7 attempts including THAT cache.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Took a bit longer than it should. Unlike at *Frying Pan*, my iPhone was way off.
Finally found the spot using the hint.
Cache needs TLC as log is wet and getting wetter. Poured water out of container. I added a rock to raise the log above likely water levels, but I fear it won't help much.
Completed signing duties and replaced.

After just getting warm, it was a bit of a rude shock to jump out in the rain again! Thankful for the cover provided by the tree, we discovered a very wet, soggy logbook. TFTC!!
I feel like I have camped here long ago but today we were just on a drive in the rain to get the frying pan cache and explore the surrounding creeks. Pulled in here and made a speedy wet find.

Camped here for a long weekend. Easy find but no signal in area at all. Needs to be saved for offline find.
Quick little find in the adjoining campground to where we were staying on our long weekend trip.
Team CDRSS was going to camp in this campground for the sole purpose of finding the old school cache Frying Pan. When we arrived yesterday we discovered that all 3 campgrounds were packed and so we ended up on the other side of the creek in the picnic area. After finding Frying Pan and then driving around the forest to end up back near the new cache Dosin' Off we then headed back to our campsite, crossed the river and decided to complete the Chichester State Forest trilogy of caches. Nice easy find, SL #2219 on streak day #1186 TFTC
En route to find Frying pan, our trip had been planned for several months to locate this great piece of caching history. We were headed to the state forest camping ground for the weekend with Snoopy1976' Dave8153, Spy79, 4 geodogs and myself for some camping hiking and adventure.
This was to be our meeting point, however when we arrived it was a very popular location, so we headed off to the other side of the creek to set up our spot.
We returned to get this one after Frying pan while we were disposing some rubbish in the nearby bins.

Streak Day #815 - Since we were out driving the forest we decided to stop at this one. TFTC
Well, the plan was to spend a few relaxing days in the Barrington Tops NP, but the hordes of muggles that had the same idea put paid to that. Nonetheless we couldn't leave without getting a few caches.
This was to be camping spot for the weekend but the grassy site we setup on was leech heaven so opted to grab the cache and make our way out there.
Thanks

Nobody camping here today, neither were we. We were passing through from Frying Pan and decided this spot was worth a look. Great place to get away from it all. TFTC mooreofthem.
The campground here was really quite pleasant. It'd be a nice place to stay in dryer weather. Found cache pretty quickly thanks to the area being deserted. Thanks

Our second last cache for the day. Our goal for the day was Frying Pan, and we had in mind that we would camp near that cache. But we saw how peaceful & quiet this campground was, and eventually returned to camp here after realising how loud our intended destination was.
We initially headed towards the creek, then GPSs started pointing back towards another spot. Then they pointed in another direction. We realised with the tree cover we weren't going to get a great signal here. So we looked at the hint, and it suggested a spot right next to where some people had set up camp. Bikerbuddy has already explained our chat to them, and their interest in the cache.
Thanks for a cache in a nice spot, and for showing us a good place to stay for the night.

We'd been driving and caching all day by the time we got to this one. It was early evening and there wasn't a lot of light left, so we wanted to find this one fast before moving on to our main objective, the old cache, Frying Pan. Unfortunately, the trees were playing havoc with our GPS units and were sending us places that didn't make sense. I read the clue and decided the cache was more in the centre of the camping area. But where I wanted to look was where a family was camped, and they were beginning to watch us. So I told them what we were doing. They gave a look of understanding and said they thought that's what we were doing. It turns out that they have dabbled with caching themselves. So we signed the log and offered for them to sign too, although they were happy not to.
As it turned out, it was good that we did this cache first. There were a lot of other people at the other camping ground and it seemed quite noisy. So after finding Frying Pan we returned to this camp group and camped on the other side of the cache. Thanks

The eighteenth cache on my northern road trip with bikerbuddy and Toriaz.
We had to disturb the muggles nearby to make the find, but luckily they knew about geocaching.
They were lovely and so was the camping spot, so we returned to camp the night metres from the cache.

Found while camping with elepots and smoogoo the kids thought it would be fun to take the cache for a run in the back of the rc rock crawler seen as the only other campers were up the other end. To think this is the closest i have camped to a cache under 10m. TFTH
A bonus cache after picking up frying pan. This will almost certainly fill with water. Another beautiful camp ground
Enjoyed drive along to GZ with beautiful bushland... finally found the cache and signed the log. Thanks mooreofthem.

Even tho this cache is ~ 70 km from home it took about 2½ hours to get there; so it was very early start today so I could also get to an Event in Sydney.
Yes, *FTF* tho there was some evidence of a geotrail around the GZ and some alternative hiding spots in the wandering dew. Finally found the cache @ 0800, as mentioned in the preliminary note about 15 m away from where GZ was indicated in a reasonably secluded spot. But after hunting around for 5 minutes out to 12 m I checked the hint, and thought I had that covered already, but when I looked further away I noticed another one. Sure enough, there was the cache.
Added a ziploc bag to try and keep the log book a bit drier - it was drizzling at the time.
A CSM wouldn't have fitted even if the coordinates were better.
I won't be able to book mark this cache for the First Day Find challenge; but it is a bonus to get another FTF for August anyway.
Brought through for mileage: 12-12-12 Event, 3 Bros NSW, Auckland NZ'13, B 2 B Travel ingot, CII-35Z, CITO - Upper Swan and Beyond geocoin, GCookie EARTH Cache 10 year Celebration Coin, Hello Cocky TB, Iconic Bridges 2012, Kengu, cache critters Baa, Neigh Neddy, and Oink, NZ Mega 13 signature, Oz Mega 2014 GCookie, thank you - moliva, TransAustralia, and trackable shirts.
TFTC mooreofthem (With also to find another cache in the '<50 km home zone' today that will just leave an Event <30 km from home, and x 2 caches > 70 km from home!)
