Greetings from QLD! Today is day 3 of our holiday and we have come to Akaroa to see some dolphins! After a great cruise on the harbour, we took the long, scenic way back to Christchurch.
Now that we’ve come out of the clouds, the views from up here are pretty awesome. No trouble finding this cache. Tftc

Haha, good story about things going gone. The view is gone, then the view is back, but the sat is gone. Now the bushes have grown again, and so the view is gone again! And The bench hasn't come back either.
Kia ora! Paldies!

Staying on the peninsular for the weekend and grabbed a few caches as we passed them.
The rain was persistent the view non existent but a quick dash in the rain and we were gone. TFTC
On our way to Little Akaloa, with a vehicle up our bum we couldn't stop so we found this cache on the way back. TFTC
Out for the day caching along the way. This was a quick find in an interesting place with no muggles about today. TFTH
Another park and grab as I work my way along this road cache by cache. No problems here for an old rocker. TFTC # 17,295
Down from Northland for a one week trip to Christchurch to pick up some solved puzzles, challenges, unusual cache types, Jasmer grid fillers, as well as a few others in passing.
Today we were off on a trip to Akaroa and after stopping off to do an AL on the way, passed by for fish and chips. Heading back now and decided to take the scenic route. Another one along here for us was this one and soon had the cache and unusual attachment in hand. TFTC

We had a 4x4 trip Sat and stayed the night at Okains bay. Today was for exploring the peninsula and tracks for GC's. On the way home we stopped to find this one, yep the view is definately gone but luckily the cache was safe. Thanks for the cache MacPacParents.
Staying up near Summit Road and saw all the geocaches when we arrived. As the kids were in bed, I got permission to head out for a couple of hours before it got dark and find a few along the ridge.
A quick find here thanks for the hint.

First full day in New Zealand and we went to the banks peninsula. Indeed the view from this location is rather limited. But at least we found another cache.

During our holiday in New Zealand we have visited both the North and the South Island. We saw a lot of highlights of this beautiful country, but there is so much more to see. So many highlights, so many caches! The geocaches showed us a lot of special and interesting places. Sometimes a quick find, sometimes we had to search longer. A few DNF's, but that doesn't matter. We loved New Zealand and we hope to come back some day!
Today we have found the cache "No.1 View Gone (Banks Peninsula)".
MacPacFamily, thanks for creating and maintaining this cache!

Visiting Akaroa and the Banks Peninsula today and made some caches for the missing months of the Jasper-Challenge. This one was on the way ... a quick found, but the lid of the container is missing!
Many thanks for hiding and greetings from Germany !

Thanks for the sneaky sneaky hide! Beautiful day for a drive along the Summit Road.
Today we made a trip over the Peninsula, beginning in Littleton, then Governors Bay, Diamond Harbour, Port Levy, Pigeon Bay, Okains Bay, Robinson Bay, Arakoa, and then back to Christchurch in order to see that many sightseeing points along the road. On this trip we searched, found and logged a lot of caches, too. The weather was beautiful, sunny, very warm, a little bit cloudy, and only sometimes there was some wind.
Almost no muggels observed us as they had to drive their cars on the not too easy roads on the Peninsula.
Thanks to MacPacParents for showing us this location and for the fun we had at No.1 View Gone (Banks Peninsula). The search we had here today didn't take too much time.
For the great hide this Cache deserves a FP.
Greetings from Germany and hope to see you soon in the forest.

Not a DNF, more a "did not look" -my phone put me in the middle of the road & I didn't persist. Now (at home) I see the WEKA co-ords.
I woke up on my birthday and was asked "What are you going to do today?" The answer? Go geocaching!
My plan was to drive around the bays cleaning up as many Banks Peninsula caches as I could. Of course I still had to be home for my birthday dinner so I was on a time limit. In the end I managed 16 finds from 17 attempts and drove through Purau, Port Levy, Pigeon Bay, Little Akaloa, Chorlton, then via Duvauchelle to drop of some supplies to our daughter in Wainui and home via Little River. A lot of driving but a chance to see some beautiful spots I'd never been.
Well that was sneaky! Unlike one previous finder I generally don't look at the size classification of a cache unless I get to GZ and need to narrow down my options. In this case I checked a couple of nearby possibilities then move to where it actually was. Soon spotted something suspicious and winkled the cache out of its hiding place.

Busypaws and I found this cache easily enough but had a devil of a job trying to extract it from its hiding place. Several cars went by and we hoped none would return to see if we needed help. Finally signed and returned. Thanks for the hide.
Well, this took some obtaining. JudeE and I worked on this for a while!! All signed eventually , TFTC
This cache took a while. For a start, our GPS had us on the other side of the road, which seemed unlikely. Then, as the cache was classified as small, we looked only in places big enough to hide such a cache. Finally we spotted the sneakily hidden micro, which was a little difficult to extract. Our coordinates were S43 43.284 E172 56.317. We would have made this cache a favourite if it had had accurate coordinates and size classification. TFTC
Very nice scenic drive along this road, can highly recommend. Even though we spotted the cache quickly, it took ReCached a minute to get it out of its hide in order to log it. TFTC MacPacParents!

The view isn’t really gone, just have to get the right angles... much like this cache. Having the right idea mattered here, and soon the cache was in hand. Another quick stop here and onwards I go. TFTC!
Visiting from Brisbane with Slow Puncture for the Oamaru Geofest, and we're seeing all the wonderful sights the South Island has to offer as we travel along. Day 6: An early start as we ventured out of Christchurch towards the mesmerisingly beautiful l hills lakes and coastline of the Banks Peninsula before heading back to the airport to catch our flight home. It's fair to say I've never taken so many photos in a single area in ny life than I took around here, the scenery is breathtaking!
Thanks for the hunt **MacPacParents**, this find makes #4430. Discover our TB

Wednesday. Slow Puncture has teamed up with Orange Crew to make a Moreton Bay assault on the Oamaru Geofest. Day Six saw us travel from Christchurch out to the East for some sightseeing (absolutely stunning scenery) and caching before returning to the Airport and heading home for Brisbane.
This was the 17th of 18 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***MacPacFamily***, for showing us this place.

We spent longer than we should have here and there aren't that many hiding places either but . . . . clever. Found with debsnz
Clever hiding place. Hubby was watching me walking around in circles when asked if I had looked . . . . Found with AorakiSheep
The view isn't too bad from here, took a while to find the darn thing - so sneaky but I should have spotted it earlier. Cheers
We decided to head over to the Peninsula with daughter for a bit of caching for the day. It was really windy!! In some spots, it felt like we are going to be blown away. Luckily, we were only blown away by the fun we were having!! Great day, and a big thank you to all the CO for placing and maintaining the caches along our route!!!

I hadn't had a propper big geocaching day since probably before the baby was born - somehow Bethany doesn't seem to enjoy geocaching as much as I do! It's always slower with nowhere near as many finds!! So a plan was hatched to get my fix - mum and I would go out caching, and baby would have some daddy bonding time!! Haha! However even though this plan was hatched at the beginning of the year, it's taken us till April to execute as mum is always busy!
So finally today was the day. A bit of a late start, and we had to be home before dinner, but still managed to get 46 caches! A few DNF, but heaps of kms travelled! Nice to make some steps towards clearing a little more of my closest 80km to home PQ out!
Phew, April, but wasn't much warmer than 6 deg - 8 according to the car! Plus the wind chill! I was jumping out, and was glad I brought the windbreaker with!
TFTC!!

We went to NZ for six weeks and did some geocaching on the way
We started exploring in Christchurch. What an exciting city, we loved it! The ReStart Market, the food trucks, the people, awesome city! After CHCH we went south. Dunedin and the pinguins were great! We went to Stewart Island and even Ulva Island to see some birds and find a geocache down south. From there we went to the North. Doubtfulsound was beautiful and sunny, Lake Wanaka wonderful! Abel Tasmantrack is an awesome hike, i can recommend it to all geocachers. The North Island was also a succes. Rotorua and the Vulcano's, wow! Napier, Tongariro Crossing, Ohopi Beach, White Island, big Kauri trees, Cape Reinga, the Bay of Islands... it was all fantastic.
We did love travelling and camping in NZ.
Another cache on my scenic drive. Driving here is great, what a view! Found this one easily.

My mission is my first 3 day tramp on Stewart Island. The Seagnoid has Xmas off so we are off on an epic adventure with Zara around the South Island. Zara stays put at Little River, so with trusty steed Toby, the Seagnoid navigating via phone & scribe and I delegated to log blogger and driver, we are off to explore Akaroa. OK With Akaroa bagged & tagged its the summit road home.
Yahoo the wind has stopped. Some shitty person left it behind here - Yuk. Another one snagged & taged. Cheers

TaybeeDragon and I are off for a three day walk on Stewart Island. But we have a camper, so once you add in getting there and back, it's a three week trip. Day 3: Akaroa to Akaroa.
Hey! the wind has stopped! Its actually quite pleasant now. Except some dick went to the toilet here and couldn't at least dig a small hole and bury it. No, they had to slop it over the rock. Gross!

I looked and looked to no avail. Finally asked George to get out and help. She climbed out of the truck and walked around for less than a minute and sweetly asked, "Did you look there?" Of course not, if I had then she would not have had a chance to get out of the campervan. - Zeke & George of Hot Springs, Arkansas, USA
Mrs Sharpe found this one, quite tricky but very clever! The view was not gone today though, infact it was just stunning!
