After a DNF a while back trying for a FTF I am pleased today to put a smile here. Thanks cantcacheus2014-again you have some great hides. TFTCSLTNLN
Due to degradation of the landscape and this nice little park not coping with the increased traffic, this cashe is now archived. The container has been removed and no further logs or notes will be accepted.
A trip to I'pilly shopping town today and as this is so close I thought I'd have another crack at it. Sat in the car waiting for a lass with her dog move on. So to kill time I actually read the previous logs. Hmmm? that's interesting a different set of co-ords. Knowing the trouble I had on the first visit I changed to co-ords and as soon as the dog and co moved on I headed down. Bugger, this is an area I had searched before anyway. Not feeling too confident now, I shuffled about, picking up a rock here and a lump of wood there, I know, I know, I've done it all before. Hmmm? Look at that....I wonder? Well blow me down.....got it. Very clever, not unlike another that also gave me heaps of trouble. All in all took me 5 mins this time. Thanks Cantcacheus2014, I so pleased to cross this one off the list. Now on to I'pilly for a well deserved coffee.
3rd visit to this awful place . I really liked it the first time I visited on the night this was released. I was very excited to hopefuly find my first FTF. How wrong that idea turned out to be. I even liked the park the next morning at 6am. But after an hour that day and another 30 min on the weekend I grew to dislike every stick and tree and rock etc here. I must say that the park has been trashed a fair bit. I phoned the CO and had a nice chat and he gave me some big hints. None of which helped. What would have helped was accurate coordinates.[?]
I like many others spent a long time searching a great distance from the actual gz. So with great frustration I PAF today and got very detailed hints but still had no luck. A few photos and massive hints later I finally spotted it as the sun was setting. I then managed to loose the lid. After 10 mins with my iphone torch I finally spotted the lid and re-hid everything as I found it. As the closest cache to home unfound I am glad it now is a smile. TFTC.

When I arrived at GZ I saw the result of cachers searching! The GPSr was bouncing around a bit. What is that... Bingo! A quick find, was very lucky! TFTC
With some help I could finally find this cache.
Thanks for the cache and greetings from Germany, Peter M.

Found this morning with a point in the right direction! I had been a part of the DNF explosion, and knew how difficult this one could be.
My coords were way off on this one, and the others who I DNF'd with. I think the increased difficulty rating needing to search for a micro so far from the listed coords is just not for me in the future.
Thanks though, it was a real challenge.
Glad to have this close to home cache found ...what a relief!

I was feeling lucky today and so dropped by again to see what might come up. It wasn't long before I found what could only be the cache: what a relief! Testing the coords proved very difficult here as using my Garmin and then my phone gave no steady repeatable result at all. Tough one but TFTC.
Found after the third try with tinder bate :-p
Had been looking on the wrong side the whole time as my coords pointed me away from the actual GZ (presumably due to tree cover). Thankfully my first idea of what the cache hide could be was correct and therefore made it slightly easier today.

Not having any luck on our previous visit, we decided to detour this way on our way to Ipswich for another go. After about 10 minutes this time we were fortunate to uncover what we were looking for.
On the previous visit we had driven straight past a spot that had a similar hide, and discussed that we should put this on the list of items we should be looking for.
Seems we were right in the type of cache, just not looking in the right spot.
Log now signed, cache replaced.

Yay!!! Found it! FTF!
After watching the growing trail of DNFs I decided to give this one a go. I thought it was a bit ambitious being a newbie with only 30 caches to my name but set off anyway.
I parked on Finney Rd – a road I travel along often when leaving Indooroopilly Shopping Centre – and noted in amusement how often I had cursed cars parked on that road (Those who know the road will understand).
Walking down to the park I dodged a scrub turkey who seemed to look at me in amusement saying “not another one…”.
I soon met up with Mumma3Bear and met Jimmyproject who were both on the hunt for their second day.
My phone GPS bounced around a bit and settled on the middle of the track – just grass, leaves and a few rocks. I left the track and started prodding in the most obvious places. Deciding this was too obvious and given the large number of unsuccessful hunts I decided to head over to the other side of the path and spotted the cache immediately!
I signed the log and took a couple of photos for bragging rights! The Scrub turkey wandered past again looking pretty chuffed at my quick find.
As we are newbies - Jimmyproject gave us a demo on his GPS and also gave us our first Pathtag – thanks Jimmyproject!
Needless to say I spent the rest of the afternoon on a high!
TFTC! Awesome hide!

Important notice from CO - in light of so many DNF's, and in the spirit of fun , we have decided we will commence the release of progressive hints at non specific intervals. These will later be deleted once ftf is claimed. They will be written as notes in the log. The first hint will be released later today - watch this space!!!
Decided to give this one another go after DNF the day before and River_Dweller was keen to join in the fun. Very soon after arriving I ran into JimmyProject and we both discussed our shared dilemma whilst poking and prodding at anything and everything. GPS was taking me back and forth to both sides of the path. River_Dweller arrived and her Eagle Eyes very quickly landed on the right thing!! Rejoice! A great find and a cache that I hadn't seen before.

Well i returned again to see if my caching eyes were working.
As i was walking down to GZ I saw someone poking around one of the trees.
I asked if she had found it yet & received a resounding No.
After introductions (Mumma3Bear) we started conversing about what it could be.
I had an idea it could of been one or the either type of container.
With GPS bouncing around alot i decided to search further afield first as it maybe the reception that is putting us out.
After searching for a while we were joined by River_Dweller.
So after a quick conversation we all started looking again.
It was 10mins into it when River_Dweller yelled out she had found it. (There was much rejoicing)
With log signed & cache put back it was quickly suggested that River_Dweller show her elation of the FTF on Facebook Caching page.
Was wonderful to meet both River_Dweller & Mumma3Bear. Look forward to catching up again somewhere on the caching trail.

As CO, I have been to this cache again today to check up on everything due to the amount of people hunting, and yes all is still well and waiting for a ftf
Have to add mine to the group.
Spent ages here.
Met Rhyssa6 at the site.
Both looked for a while.
Looks like its a good one for Barbbowman, Fast Ed59 or EngPhil who are all micros experts.
Will return later

Nope, EngPhil has no interest in impossible needle-in-haystack micros in muggly locations (or he'd have already been to this one.)
I spent an hour and a half here today and had no luck either. I did get to meet teams Benders though, who was already here when I arrived.
We came up with a strategy
Searched every bush and every tree.
We looked and thought
Rocks were turned and prickles fought.
We talked and stared
Sticks were moved and bugs were bared.
Inside, outside, upside, downside
Every side except the right side.
On the ground and in the air
I swear we searched everywhere
Up and down and all around
But alas, no cache was found.

Having just come back from the UK - the saying goes... Ooohh errr Mrs!This is just a little naughty cache making everyone excitable to become the first to find!
Hmmm another one on the DNF list. We were here for nearly an hour, plenty of chicken scratch evidence in all the obvious places SO its time to stretch the imagination to the not so obvious. A micro in this environment really does up the difficulty, every leaf, stick, tree nut and rock becomes a potential micro, and there are lots. No FTF for us but we may be back again if no one else logs the FTF soon.
One more DNF, spent about an hour here this morning but no luck. Lots of evidence of the previous searchers. Wonder what the neighbours think.
I watched this cache all day at work to see if anyone would find it. Finished work, had lunch then checked again. Still no find, so I set up the GPS and headed off, hoping against hope I would be the one to get this elusive bugger and get my first FTF at the same time.
Alas it was not to be! GPS had me wandering back an forth, I was sticking my hands and fingers in places I probably shouldn't, lizards were scurrying around in the leaves probably laughing at me as they went!
Another cacher showed up and I though yes maybe two pairs of eyes would make light work! Nope!
I will be back!

The lure of FTF kudos won over the desire to stay at home and not look at every rock and stick and tree and bit of junk concrete. Bumped into another cacher however, which is always fun, but we didn't get that found it thrill.
Had High Hopes of finding this one today but alas....no luck! A big Well Done to whoever is the FTF!
So i decided that i needed to add to the growing list of DNF's to this log.
I arrived at GZ & found the surrounding area all chicken scratched up.
The GPS bounced around a little, so i started looking at the obvious places.
Read description again & had a thought about what it could be.
Started checking each piece but still to no avail.
Started thinking if the locals think there is a bunch of crazy people in the area.
Didn't spend too much time on this as i think more eyes maybe a better option.

Hmmm 3-4 days now with lots of DNFs on this one I had to give it a go because someone needs to be FTF, I spent about an hour here and tried not to look where others have but Maybe a couple times I looked in the same place as others, My iphone jumped a bit here been in a gully and under tree cover. I spotted something that needed pocking at and it rolled down at me than stopped and than flicked over with a wipe of its tail GOD DAM!!![:o] it looked real but no it wasn't the cache. (Look out for a fake snake cache now),ill be back with more day light on my side. Thanks Cantcacheus2014 very tricky this one.
Searched high and low, in plain sight and in crevices, under rocks, inside logs - everywhere except the right place. It sure is well hidden!
Loads of DNFs on this one so went and had a look. Ifound an eclipse tin and a piece of tubing attached around a tree but missed out oh well it is a nice little park for a rest break
So with so many DNF's it prompted me as CO to come check it, yup it's still here waiting to be found. I'd say people were sooooooo close they could have touched it and never known .... Enjoy the hunting
Arrived 20mins after publish and spend a good hour here searching to no avail. maybe next time
Only 1km from home I had to come and have a look. Saw two cachers leaving so thought I had missed out. Nope they had given up in the dark as I have now done too. I will be back. Good luck and well done if someone else finds it tonight.
Pretty difficult conditions here tonight on a number of fronts. I was driving almost right past so pulled in, even though I doubted I would find this micro in the bush. Very happy to be joined by a vocal Eggs and later Walandor. Good luck all.
Spent an hour here this morning but no luck. Geodog was bringing lots of sticks for us to play with but that didn't help us . Walandor joined us but still no luck. Had a chat to a couple of muggles that were passing by. Finally decided to call it quits. Next time
I snuck out for a half hour to have a check on this one. My phone bounced a lot and then decided the cache should be in the middle of the path... hmm will need to get a real GPS some time. So I scanned about looking for a home for a micro and had no luck. Turned over stones and checked branches and ... nada. Thanks Cantcacheus, I have passed this park a thousand times but never actually stopped at it before. I guess I will stop at it for a second time when I get some more time.
