Neighbour’s told us where it was supposed to be but unless last person pushed in to far nothing here. Look around in case moved but nothing
Having a mini caching holiday in Whyalla with scramping...
We arrived late at our cabin and decided to do a bit of caching, being we were here and it was such a lovely night...
This was going to be a 12th Nov log but turns out it was after midnight when the cache was found...
A quick find...TFTC Groffy

Found with jevwalker on our night drive around Whyalla. Wow you have lots of big roundabouts here. TFTC
I have created a new cache similar to the previous one and have placed it in the same place. All is good now. Pencil is included.

No sign of this one today. Maybe we had cache blindness. Maybe it's gone walkies...
Thanks for the challenge Groffy ,
will place on the watch list and return one day when it's been found or maintained!

Another cache that took me two attempts. An earlier failed attempt I ran from due to the rain. Then there is nothing more irritating than coming back with someone who looks in the only place you failed to look and says within seconds ‘found it’. TFTC
That was a quick find by me.
Thanks Groffy. and clear skies from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!

Was giving up on this one when I noticed something familiar. Having no satellites to speed up the distance to the cache didn't help. Happy to knock this one off. TFTC.
It's great to learn a bit of history about the place and I usually learn a thing or two. Not many hidey holes for it to be put. Took longer for phone gps to settle down than it did to find it.

Cache definitely in situ... alas it had been put in the wrong way, which made retrieval difficult!
Used an extraction tool to retrieve eventually!
Replaced properly for next finder...
Spending a few days in Whyalla and found a few cache, or 300!
Had managed to solve all the puzzles before coming over too.
Of the nearly 300 found on the trip over and back from Adelaide, 95% were found within 50km of Whyalla Central, with approx a dozen dnfs also. Amongst all the finds was my 17000th find.
Also managed a lot of 'unloved' finds too.
What is it with Whyalla and mint tins? lol
TNLNSL
Thanks

Now that the workmen have finished doing what they were doing, the cache has been replaced and ready to go again.
Thanks for your patience.

Hi there Groffy.
This is the 1st of 1 caches we didn't find today. [:(!]
We spent quite some time here at around 12:41:00 PM, but we just couldn't locate your cache. It's either not there, a very clever hide or we are just suffering from "cache blindness", so here's a DNF from us.
Regards
Ian and Penny

Sitting on 993 finds and wanting to have my unique fishing event tomorrow as my 1000th find, I thought I'd better get 6 caches in a hurry this afternoon. So I grabbed 1 of the geokids and off we went. This was the fourth for the day and an easy find in the first place I looked. TFTC.
I found this cache on a return visit to Whyalla.
I lived here for a year, in 2011/12, before moving to Berri, in the Riverland region of SA.
It was great to revisit the Whyalla area and to explore some of the tracks and trails. TFTC

I was, very generously, offered a trip to Whyalla with Moneydork that was too good to refuse!
Tonight's stop was in Whyalla and between Port Augusta, Iron Knob and Whyalla I found 60 caches but ended the day with the only DNF
I saw something a few meters before I reached GZ and luckily it was the cache
I'd even seen the homestead a short while before so it was good to find this cache which is connected to the history of the homestead

Found at 4:53 PM GAFF1 in the company of maccamob. We signed the log book as "M & P".
Well that's it for the day after a big trip to Kimba and back. We now have to do some work on our caravan and then off to the Eyre Hotel for dinner.
Cache was a good hide btw
Thanks Groffy.

Found by Mary & David, in company with pprass (signed as m & p), at 1655. Today David and pprass tackled the FITG caches and a few extras in Kimba and Whyalla, while Mary and cprass spent the day checking out the shops and tourist spots in Whyalla. A well-hidden cache to mark the end of our caching day to Kimba and back. Our thanks to Groffy.

So this was the first Geocache we tried to find today and failed! After finding a few through out the day and getting use to the Geocache ways we came back for a second shot and found it with the first few minutes! Very well done! Thank you!
Is that a school over there.
This one slipped past me.
Found on a very hot day.
