Qualify easily. Like others, the home owner come out and told us where it was. He said on his last trip away with the kids they found a few.We are supported our mate who ran to Darwin via the length of New Zealand, Tasmania and through Geelong, Adelaide, Alice Springs (@curlyrunsnz). We have some time off up here before heading home.Doodle Bug Oz, I found 50's Challenge today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

Found this cache this morning. Couldn't find it and then a lady came put from the house and showed me where it was. She got into geocaching after seeing all these people turning up to search for the cache near her house at the end. I searched high and low for this cache. I paused when the local garbo came down the street and once he did a u-turn I went searching again. I still couldn’t find it! My muggle friend and I leave town tomorrow at some stupid hour on the big bird, and I’m already planning another, extended, visit to Darwin. Until next time.

Darwin to Adelaide Road Trip
Day Three: Darwin to Mataranka.
Weather: perfect

My first thought here was “how did you get a cache this close to a school?” The second was “what’s that smell?” The guy in the adjacent house had been cleaning fish right at GZ, but fortunately for me, had gone inside for a break or something.

I used to dread unknowns, and a lot of my early finds were challenge caches or Adventure Lab bonuses. But I’m starting to get the hang of some of them at least, and my count now has passed 1000.

Thanks for this challenge Doodle Bug Oz.

Day 52 of our greynomad trip up north and after a the JLWEvents, a tour of Maralinga and caching to claim LGAs in the Eyre Peninsula, we are attempting to escape the southern weather that has been wet and windy. Not sure that we are acclimatised to the northern heat yet as we are feeling it by early afternoon, but out sightseeing and caching in the morning.

A quick find after discovering the Chinese Museum wasn't open.

Find # 8499

On yet another even briefer work trip to Darwin. This time the weather was more humid but at least it was warmer than down south. Managed to find a few caches and sign a few logs in anticipation of qualifying for some of the many challenges. Now getting around to logging them. This one I posted my qualifier back in Feb 2022. No point clogging up the system by reposting

This was a quick and easy find and ️ here at GC5CB7D GZ today.

Thanks so much for the cache Doodle Bug Oz And of course for getting me out and about and enjoying this area too

Have you completed the Ballarat GeoTour yet? Do yourself a favour as time is running out to visit Australia’s only GeoTour. For more info visit https://www.geocaching.com/play/geotours/ballarat-victoria

Hey, I know the cache owners now!

I felt embarrassed how long it took me to find it. Signed gc and gf to save space.

I also actually can log this challenge. I am very much improving my ability to complete ? caches.

Thank you Doodle Bug Oz for placing this cache for me to enjoy!

Out and about in Darwin again, our last day here, nearly completed all the challenge caches we are able to before we head south. We visited this one twice as we couldn't find it the first time, but we were in luck today and there is was we had already looked!!
We have easily found the 50, actually over 800 unknown caches in total as we love mystery caches. TFTC

Travelling with richlink on a trip from Perth to Darwin and return via Alice, Adelaide, and the Nullarbor. Now we have a few days to enjoy Darwin and do some caching. Well, that took longer than it should have, but after a chat with the friendly neighbour, our names were in the log.. Thanks DBOZ.

After a day out to Tolmer Falls and surrounds I decided to pick up this cache. I love puzzles and so far I have found 1667 so this one was a nice challenge for me. At gz a chicken was following me around but could not help me. It took me longer than it should have. Thanks for the fun challenge

Luckily I had the opportunity to travel to Darwin for a work exhibition.
So knowing that kookacrew was also up here from south Australia we met up for lunch and had a chance to grab a few caches. It's always good to see different styles and types of hides in different states and mixes it up a bit.
Thankyou to those Co's for the placement and maintenance of caches for our hobby to continue.

Always love getting a Challenge cache.

After a hot walk out to this, as one of my target caches the other day, i was incredibly thankful for the shade around gz, to let me search in relative peace, it wasn't too long before the cheeky hide was uncovered.
This cache will bump me past my current mystery cache total of 166.
Thanks doodlebugoz for a challenge cache i can qualify for!

Over from Perth to enjoy Darwin for a few days Smile Between driving down to Litchfield NP yesterday, and the same to Adelaide River tomorrow, *today* was all about exploring around central Darwin and picking up caches on the way Smile This was one that I stopped off at. Checked before leaving home that this was one that I qualified for and pleased to confirm I do:

I have found 195 Unknown caches.

A neighbour pulled up in his car just as I got out of mine at GZ so while he faffed around in the boot I took a quick look and immediately spotted something of interest. A few minutes later and he was out of sight completely so I gave it a tug and happily out popped a cache Smile No problems here, a nice easy find. Thanks for setting this challenge and TFTC

28-Feb-20
I will be in Darwin next week and will swing past to find this one which we qualify for with 198 Mystery finds.

We have also used the Project-GC Challenge Checker to confirm that we did qualify for this challenge.

17-Feb-20
I easily qualify and will try for this cache when we visit.

Thanks so much for the challenge!! And thanks for the cache.

Found with Nibletricecakes on our trip away.. log signed. Now to solve those challenges so I can log!

02-Dec-19
And the challenge cache hunt is on! So exciting Smile

....

In port for the day with the Carnival Splendor, K8TYBEE and I thought it the perfect chance to explore the cities history and grab as many caches as possible!

We started the day on an awesome walking tour with the amazing team from Darwin Walking, then set off on our own on foot (and then by patient taxi driver) to see what we could find.

Thanks to everyone who maintains these caches! We had a create first visit to Darwin! Very happy with the 14 logs we signed. Now to spend the next couple of days making sure we have passed the challenges so we can turn those notes into finds! TFTC

A find that took some time to find while our ship was in town TFTC

Darwin Day 2, Sector 1 (City - Ludmilla)

Got up bright and early today, and prepared myself to go all out to visit Darwin’s suburbs. All to be done on bicycle, of course. Most people would think that it is madness to do this with the heat and humidity, but I do come from Singapore, where all this is par of the course... it’s just that I haven’t been out this long in the sun for a while now. Nevertheless, my goal today was to go as far north as Nightcliff and make my way back. The challenge has been set, so let’s go!

The following is the specific log for each cache:
I really love Mysteries, I really do, and I look forward to solving and logging them wherever I go. So, it wasn’t difficult to fulfill this challenge. Came round here to get this one, and yes, this hide isn’t going to stump me. A classic one in my books. TFTC!

We had just been to see the crocs at the Adelaide River...wow lots of them including a mammoth 5m one. As we made our way back to Darwin we decided to sight-see and grab a few caches.

We were also in the area to see where Mrs frilk had lived when she was growing up as a small child.

I knew that I qualified for this challenge. TFTC.

Puzzle (Unknown) caches are a favourite of mine and I make it a mission to gather as those particular icons whenever I am out and about... [^]

Qualifying for this cache was no trouble in fact, I am hoping that in the next 6 months or less, I will have found 40 times the amount required to satisfy this challenge requirement... Wink

On arrival at GZ, the container was located after a brief search and I added a sticker to to mark my visit. All done, I tucked it back in place and headed off.

Cheers Doodle Bug Oz.

Hi there Doodle Bug Oz - today is our last full day in Darwin, and began by hunting a few Mystery caches we'd already solved before heading for a shopping center (for some shopping). The cache and log are in good condition - SL. This is our find #5004 - thanks to Doodle Bug Oz for this cache.

I can claim a smilie as I have logged in excess of the required number of geocaches as can be seen on my public profile. . We are in Darwin for a while after attending the Red Centre Experience over Easter. Today I dedicated to finding 9 Mystery caches which I qualify for. Though at one stage I couldn't resist grabbing a traditional as I was only 2 m from GZ. That did unfortunately undo me as I then tried for another which ended up being my only DNF for the day, but I will be back before leaving this area to start heading further east.

All 9 Mystery caches were found - some easily and others not so easily. I added my name to each log either as SG as I often do in small caches to save space or by stamping others.

Thanks to all the COs for placing this series of challenge caches. I am so glad they have already been published as with the change in rules we may never see some of this kind again .

Today our last day of our trip with our 4WD camper we are renting.
Driving from Litchfield NP to Darwin to return the camper.
I saw some challenge caches in Darwin and was intrigued... Looks like we could log some of them, so the plan was to select a few and drive around before we returned to the return address.

[de_fret](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=de_fret) has used [Project-GC](http://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC5CB7D/10236 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if he/she qualified for this challenge and he/she did.

I made it with 229 finds and needed only 50

Up in Darwin for a course for work, but it was nice to visit some of the place I used to frequent when we lived up here, and to grab a few caches of course! I made this one alot harder then it needed to be but after about `10 minutes of searching it almost jumped out at me! I am sitting on 62 unknown caches. It was quite interesting that I actually parked just behind the CO's car! TFTC

Now visiting Darwin after the Red Centre Experience. Razz

Jobs, jobs and more jobs. Finally done with the jobs and we headed out to find a few caches. Not far into the list and it was lunchtime already! Where to go, what to eat[?] Razz Just down the road from Stokes Wharf so back down for $8.90 fish n chips (3rd time this week)

After lunch we continued on with the list, dodging muggles and green ants. Razz

Yes our stats show we qualify for this one too. Cool

Thought we qualified for this but checked in case. All quiet on the muggle front on Anzac afternoon as we came to search for the cache. Everyone must be air conned inside playing 2-up which is great for cache finding. TFTC Doodle Bug Oz.
