Long way where we staying and we get up early .What a great drive and beautiful view ,beach etc so amazing . Haven't seen any wild animals yet. Love to see my 4x4 become dirty dust muddy Thank you for your hard work with puzzles. And also took many photos. Very beautiful Yorke Peninsula. I never ever seen anything like this before. I'm starting to research what farm grows and history. Weather is awesome cloudy ,blue sky , bit of windy and so much fun with deaf group and get home late tired. I feel so good to get fit and lost some weight.

A big day out a coolish day but still spotted a reptile or two, heading down with Perfect Di, Mattycat and Jack the monkey we made some quick work of it however found it either signed and stamped or various combinations, some supplies were used some old containers replaced some doubles were found and some maintainance done as well, finishing just shy of midnight with a new PB of finds for the day 265 finds, overall a fun day and into the night sore muscles and a solid night sleep, all caches are now in great condition

A fishy sort of caching day where we all went out for some fun on the syp.

We all had a stamp or a pen and whoever found it first stamped or signed for all of us. ...
Signature may be one of our stamps or FMD, froghoppin matty Di, or frogs of mass destruction, friggin mad dudes?
The froghoppin duo, Mattycat Purrfect Di, Jack the Monkey, a ?ig brown snake, a black one, a few shinglebacks, some birdies, skinks, roos, a goat, some sheep, and probably cheered on by some death adders in the bushes.......... all found your caches!


It was nice to find a couple of traditional caches amongst the trail ones.

And a range of containers, everything from ammo can to test tube, only a couple of those rusty little minty tetanus tins, some berocca tubes but no nanos! Quite a few of the trail ones had gone, like the fish that got away, but some handy tackle supply stores along the way had us rejigging our lines and maintaining said caches ??
All part of the service!

We rocked the syp cache trails and might have broken some personal records. (Including 265 for the day)

Day 4 of our stay on the Yorke Peninsula, staying at Port Turton Caravan Park.

Today we found the Jellyfish, small Fish, Anchor and some other lose caches along the way. Did some maintenance along the way to caches that needed it thanks to the fishy supply buckets. All caches found in good condition apart from one section that I have messaged the CO about.
170 total finds for today.

Around this time last year I headed across to the Yorke Peninsula to complete some of the geoart puzzle caches. This week I returned to the area to do some more.

Once again I was on my own and once again I was lucky with the weather with some very pleasant days.

I also took the opportunity to find some other caches to break up the monotony.

In all I found more than 300 Unknown caches, 18 Multis and 6 earthcaches over three long days of caching.

Most of the caches in the geoart series’ were found quite quickly. Many of the containers and/or logbooks had been replaced fairly recently which certainly helped. In some cases I found both the original and replacement caches. On a couple of other occasions I found the original but not the replacement! I replaced a few containers and/or logbooks as needed.

Day 199 (Sunday 15th) of our trip. Caching along the way. In Warooka today. A total of 84 for the day and 4242 for the trip. TFTC

All logs today were stamped as " Mystery Randoms ". The team was sir_spectre, mogni, allister w, Aussie M & M, JJ52 and Gizmo Gang. We did the whole geo art in the one day finishing the last 11 under torch light.
This was mogni's last calendar day to fill with 10 in every day. Since it was the 29 th of feb she wanted at least 100 cache finds for the day. We worked out that the geo art was a good choice. She wanted to do 100 caches and maybe some more. I thought all 588 caches was a better idea ( all the geo art ). I recruited some people. I talked to the fishy tales group and got permission to pick up all the caches and replace them. They gave me 300 new caches and enough new logs for the whole trail. Also strict instructions to pick up all the mint tins on the trail so freddo could recycle them. We found 61 of which 49 could be recycled. We ended up using all the given containers plus more and CITOed 4 milk crates worth of old/broken/brittle containers. Over 600 cache finds for the day. With 3 weeks to the 29th mogni decided to expand what she wanted. She wanted as many cache types on that day as well. We got a multi, puzzle, trad, earthcache, event, wherigo, virtual. We started in the dark and also did the last 11 caches of the geo art in the dark, it was a big day.

A big leap day with the Mystery Randoms. Sir Spectre, mogni, JJ52, AussieM&M, GizmozGang and I had a big day from a event in Adelaide to finding all the geoart at the bottom of Yorke Peninsula. We were tired by the end of the day. This one was found along the way. TFTC

Mrs Gizmo was invited to join mogni, sir_spectre, allister w, Aussie M & M and JJ52 for a big day starting with an early morning event, then some different cache types in the city before hitting the road to the Yorke Peninsula to complete the geo art.

We started at the boat and continued on to the other geo art on a logical route. We performed cache maintenance as needed and retrieved any mint tins that we found.

We had a great weekend full of fun and friendships. My biggest caching trip yet.

TFTC and the series Fishy Tales

This was a 29th of February challenge to complete the remaining GeoArt for Mr and Mrs M. Whilst visiting over 600 caches we performed maintenance when needed, so this set of caches should be OK for a while.

This huge day was completed with the company of mogni, Gizmo's Gang, Allister W, JJ52 and Sir Spectre. A great, but tiring day was had by all.

Well I have been eyeing off these power trails for a couple of years but not sure when I would be down this way. I had a couple of days without plans over these holidays so booked a campsite, threw my tent in the car, put my bike on the racks and headed over to the Yorke.

My prefered method of tackling these trails is on my bike. I park my car amongst a group of caches then head off on my bike for 5 or ten kilometres and then head back to the car. This way I cover twice as much distance as necessary and is significantly slower than drive and stop but I get the added benefit of some exercise.

I got off to an early start and headed to the Hook trail. With recent finds all the caches were found with little fuss. Towards the end of the trail the horse flies were out in force and really giving me the pips. Even while riding, they were all over me. All containers bar one were in good condition.
It took me nearly three hours to complete the hook so I took a break and headed to Marion Bay for the afternoon.

In the late afternoon I thought I would make a start on the Fish Trail. Again with recent activity all caches were found pretty quickly except for one that was lost under long grass. But in the end I found it which made for a happy geocacher - no DNFs today.

Huge weekend with heaps of finds on the Yorke Peninsula! Loooong day on fishing line followed by geoart, A planned weekend with great company- Munja and Davewazza and Kiwis mar1sa and the Seagnoid.

Tried to complete as much of the geoart as possible, and not under time pressure for as yesterday. WE started later then completed Fishy Tales (FT), Fish, Jellyfish, Sally Starfish, and Sammy Starfish and the straggling caches from the Anchor. We had a great dinner in Yorketown.

Spectacular scenery along the coast great and replacement containers almost finished. A number of sections did need attention so we did what we could to keep the caches viable. most were brittle/cracked with wet logbooks, and animal damage animals. Caches signed as KaA (Kiwis and Aussies). TYFTC SLTNLN amazing effort

Whew. What a day. It all started about 2 years ago when I asked for some assistance to do this route, to attempt it in one 24 hour day. But it would need at least three people, and was not going to be easy. A few months ago I got some interest and suddenly we had the numbers and it was on! Built some strategies for shaving seconds, like having someone else ready with the stamp, and I even came prepped with replacement containers for maintenance but was told the CO had given us some and we would not need mine. Turns out we did which was a bit of a bugger as i did not bring them - there is a lot of maintenance needed on this line, ever after the COs new containers went in.
We started with a early night's sleep and were at the first cache way way way too early for any sensible person. Thankfully the vast majority are really easy finds. The number of times I got out of the car only to have someone else get out the other side and say "Found it" ever before I rounded the car was amazing. Take two steps, turn around, get back in. Ended up walking around the car just to make getting out feel useful. Of course, I did it to them just as often! Lots of amazing stuff. Strange temperatures: got to 42 degrees!, strange animals: emu, brown snakes, stumpys, frill neck lizards, and so many ants that I think Australia must be made of them. Man, you grow your ants large!
At the end of it we were shattered. Big sleep in.

All part of a bigger holiday with way too many kilometres and probably too much geocaching. But just the right amount of awesome friends .

All caches signed as KAA or stamped with the KAA pirate stamp while the ink lasted. KAA are the Kiwis and Aussies - Mar1sa and the Seagnoid for the Kiwis, skuzzybear, Munja and DavidWazza for the Aussies.

A long weekend with a massive amount of geocache finds in the Yorke Peninsula! The weekend was filled with a loong day of the fishing line power trail, followed by a subsequent day of the geoart at the peninsula bottom. I managed to squeeze in a night scuba dive, and then it was a slow return home finding a few geocaches on the way. An unexpected enjoyable weekend than what I thought it would be, with great company from locals Munja and skuzzybear, and visiting Kiwis mar1sa and the Seagnoid.

Today's objective was to complete as much of the geoart power trails as we could, and we were not under as much time pressure for running in and out of the vehicle as we did yesterday. It was a later start departing around 9:30 a.m. collecting a few geocaches from Edithburgh to Yorketown before meeting up with the other team members. We then completed the following geoart: Fishy Tales (FT), Fish, Jellyfish, Sally Starfish, and Sammy Starfish. The remaining caches from the Anchor were also found from the previous evening. A rewarding dinner was then had in Yorketown, before I said farewell to the team and squeezed in a night scuba dive at Edithburgh Jetty.

Our first geoart cache, *FT - Oarfish*, was found at 10:15 hr today, up until *Sammy Starfish26* was found at 17:46 hr. Some great views whilst finding some of the caches along the coastal roads. Our replacement containers were near exhausted, and there were several of these sections that really did need attention from future geocacher visitors. Overall, the quality of them are at a B rating - some were good, but it was clear there were sections that needed new containers and logbooks, with most of those having brittle/cracked containers, some wet logbooks, and some suffered from chewing from animals. Nevertheless, most geocaches were found within a reasonable amount of time, with some requiring full team searches. A few were not found due to suspected road maintenance, and so were consequently replaced. Caches were signed as KAA (Kiwis and Aussies). Thanks Fishy Tales team with the massive effort involved in hiding, publishing, and maintaining these massive groups of caches!

The third day of the Aussies and Kiwi’s caching trip to the York Peninsula and today we were attempting to tackle the Geo Art. After a quick breakfast we made our way back towards Warooka, and like the previous day we quickly got into our caching rhythm. Whilst we were still chasing numbers, we were not looking to push ourselves as much as we did yesterday. With this being the case, we still were able to achieve some good numbers and have an enjoyable day. As the sun began to sink low in the sky, we finally decided to call it a day and try and find something for tea. All logs were signed as KaA (Kiwis and Aussies).

I had made a start on the Geoart at the bottom of the Peninsula back at the beginning of 2016 completing the very small Sammy Starfish and that was all I had done until a plan was made with Michells&hound to come down for this weekend and have a good crack at some of the other pieces of art. It was also an opportunity for me to find 200 caches in a day as a personal goal. [^]
After an early night last night and a good sleep in our cabin at Minlaton Caravan Park we were up at 6am for breakfast, lunch making, gathering all our tech, then out the door just after 7am. After the rain yesterday we were greeted by a lovely sunny sky although the forecast again was for showers during the day.
We had prepared ourselves to try and get all the caches in the Anchor, Fish, Sally Starfish, Jellyfish and the Hook, 252 caches in total which would well surpass my goal. We weren't sure how many we would get, but were prepared to give it a good crack. So we headed down to the Anchor first and found these to be relatively easy finds. We did have a couple of issues by the time we got to the last section as there weren't many good places to pull off the road. Luckily there wasn't too much traffic around, although more than I thought there would be.
We had come armed with plenty of replacement caches and logs which we were thankful of as there were a lot of broken (original) containers, some very brittle ones that we smashed trying to open them and wet logs!!
We only stopped once for our lunch break and to recharge a bit then it was back to it. We were really lucky with the weather, only having a couple of showers where we had to put on the raincoats. We had completed all but the Hook by late afternoon and we weren't sure we would get them all before dark, but we continued on and found them all just as the light was fading. We were pleased with our effort and I was pleased that this would be my biggest day, biggest weekend, biggest week and month.
We didn't see much wildlife at all and were pleased we didn't come across any creepy crawlies and kept saying we were glad we weren't doing this in hotter weather as there were times when we were searching in very long grass. We did come across the biggest mob of sheep that were being moved along the road we were on and we had to stop for quite a while for them to pass. Not sure why they were being moved in the dark.
So we headed back to Minlaton, but decided to stop in Warooka for tea as we weren't sure we would be back in time for a meal at Minlaton. This was a good decision as the food was great with a really yummy salad bar. Arrived back in Minlaton, showered and prepared for tomorrow then another early night.
A great day, a very big day for me and my personal record broken, you've gotta be happy with that. [^]

So today was all about numbers as we headed out for a huge day (well for us at least) of caching on the YP. JJ52 was aiming to break some personal records (biggest day, biggest week and biggest month) all of which were accomplished and I was trying to get ever closer to the 10,000 milestone. Our goal had been to try and find 200 caches but we ended up with over 250 which we were rather happy about. All in all a very satisfying day of caching.
We got up early (6am is early for a Saturday!) and got ourselves organised, brekkie, thermos, packed lunch and check of all required caching supplies.
With the ute loaded up we headed out towards Fowl Bay for the first section of geo-art. We were pleasantly surprised with the weather which ended up being rather good in comparison to yesterday which was terrible. Blue skies and a little cloud made for perfect caching conditions. It was a bit windy at times which added to the chill factor and we did encounter a few showers but this was fine.
We took it in turns to drive whilst the other was finding and stamping both of our stamps and then replacing the caches. No leap frog caching.
We really enjoyed the first section which was on a dirt road with very little traffic and didn't really mind the section on the highway as there was plenty of space to pull off the road. The last section we did we were not so keen on as there was not any room to pull off the road and we weren't very keen on stopping with double white lines and corners. All worked out in the end, we probably just walked a bit further to some of the caches!!
We only had a couple of 'incidents'. I left (well the stamp fell out of my pocket) whilst heading back to the ute and I didn't realise until we were at the next cache, so we had to double back to find that. Then later in the day (I blame tiredness) I made a very questionable maneuver that left the ute in a very precarious position, thankfully was able to right the situation and luckily there was no photographic evidence!
We didn't see any scary wildlife, which is always a bonus in my opinion. Just lots of birds and sheep.
Sadly we couldn't get decent reception to listen to the football which initially I was disappointed about but as my Pies lost I think I was glad not to have listened to the torment!!
We only really stopped for our lunch break and a cuppa which was needed but once refueled we got some second wind energy to complete our quest.
We found the trail to be in better condition than we had anticipated (Anchor, Fish, Sally Starfish, Jelly Fish, Hook) and we only replaced 20 or so shattered containers. The remaining original containers in this series are quite fragile but if handled with care (not squeezed hard when opening) and replaced carefully (no have a big rock chucked on top of them) should survive for a while yet. We found many different types of containers, great to see cachers helping to keep this great series alive and well for others to enjoy.
Once we were finished caching we headed cross country back to Minlaton. As it was getting dark we had our eyes peeled for kangaroos (one bounded over the road but way off in the distance as well as bunnies, lots of bunnies). We noticed a STOCK ON ROAD sign but dismissed it as it was practically dark so kept going at pace. Whoa, suddenly out of nowhere (5kms further up the road) we encountered the biggest mob of sheep on the road, they were caught in the headlights and running all over the place. So we turned off the headlights and sat whilst they headed on up the road, we sat for quite a long time! Then onwards, we decided in the end to stop at Warooka for tea. Good choice, the salad bar there was phenomenal. With satisfied tummies it was back to the cabin for a glass of wine, showers and an early night. Sound sleep ensued.
Would recommend that the next cachers bring new log books and containers.

As it was such a very hot day today, we thought it might be a good idea to go out and do some fishing, with ilook4geo. First we decided to pull up the geo art anchor and complete this picture before we moved on to actually reeling in one special fish.
Yorke Peninsula has a massive amount of caches to be found and on this visit we are adding to our smiley count for the area.

Hot, hot, hot today, so decided to look for some cool caches along with goingplaces2. Started off with the geo art anchor and then moved on to do a bit of fishing with a line and hook. All good with the series. TFTC.

Our holiday is coming to an end so we made one more trip to the geo-art on the peninsula. Managed to find all we looked for, some quickly some took longer. Not much traffic today. Had one landowner buzz us with a drone but then he came out himself to check we hadn't broken down. One snake sighted whilst hunting for a cache. No caches needed repairs etc. tftc

We have a small team travelling to The Yorke Peninsula from Canberra. It was decided by the group before we left that our team name would be DTY, although I act like the boss, I rarely am and so the initials actually stand for - dty73, Tankengine & Youban.

We did the puzzles for all the Geoart before we left for the trip however, we didn't decide to do any one piece of art in particular until we got over here and had worked out how long it would take us and what to expect. So today we decided this one wouldn't take that long and there were other caches we had wanted to check out in the area too.

This trail was a really great trail compared to some of the others we had done. There were only a handful of caches that probably had an issue with the container. I will try to add a comment for any that weren't in good condition.

On a caching trip with Dty73 & Tankengine to Yorke Peninsula. Team signed as DTY. Today is our fourth day on the peninsula and we are continuing with the Geoart trails. We finished the Shark and headed in to Marion Bay Tavern for a much needed break. After lunch we decided to attack some Traditional caches and the Fish. This was a pleasure to do as the containers were in much better condition. A good end to a long but good day so thanks Fishy Tails for the art. Kutgw

We are in our second week of exploring the Yorke Peninsular and we’re having a great time. It’s a really beautiful location and we are so glad that all the geo trails have forced us to spend so much time here.
A few days ago we started on the geo art trails after spending four busy days traveling down the fishing line and finding all 868 of the hides, today we are continuing with the geo art, but mixing it up with random caches spread across the countryside. The geo art gives us the numbers, but the random caches take us to some lovely out of the way spots. A great combination of the reasons we love caching.
As we travel along these power trails we have discovered that a number of the hides have started to deteriorate. Some of the original containers have become brittle and broken. Where possible we have replaced the containers, but we have started to run out of replacements. I would suggest a run by the CO, or another cacher to replace those we were unable 5o.
Thanks to all the CO’s in the area for all the caches they have developed, put out and maintain for us to find. A mammoth job, well done. We appreciate your efforts.

After a review of the geocaching map in South Australia it was determined a trip to the Yorke Peninsula would yield some significant numbers. So, The Rats, Hoojar and I teamed up once agan to tackle the many caches on the peninsula.

We started in the darkness after flying into Adelaide and the next day set some personal records (550+ caches in a day) and milestones before bunking down. The next day was another massive numbers haul which resulted in a bit over 1,000 caches in two days !

Then it was a little more sedate down to the bottom of the peninsula and then back up the easterly side, ticking off a few EarthCaches in the process .

After that, back to Adelaide for some night caching, virtuals and more EarthCaches!

The power trails on the peninsula were great- quiet roads, some great green wheat and yellow canola scenery, coupled with some great company and usual ribbing of each other [^]!

This was a trip that had been some time in the making. A journey from Wollongong in New South Wales to the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, in search of large numbers. Five days were set aside, and The Rats, Steeba, and myself planned the details out. Lofty numbers were floated; we could find one thousand geocahces... Maybe more! The world was our oyster, all we had to do was make it happen.

We flew into Adelaide and quickly rented our car, then headed off for a series of thirty letterbox caches late that night. We then set up camp, ready for the next few days.

Two days journeying down the Yorke Peninsular saw us collect 550 caches the first day, and 450 the next. One thousand caches in two days! The numbers were phenomenal, unheard of, and excellent! At one stage we found fifty caches in a one hour period! We worked ourselves into a solid routine, and managed to push these numbers without caching after dark. Incredible! We camped out beside the trail, ready to commence again the following morning.

Having reached our goal of one thousand, we rented a cabin and enjoyed a solid relax and beet, and we were then able to dedicate the remaining time to specific caches, mostly Earthcaches to keep Steeba (The Professor) happy, and a good number of Vrtuals as well, as we made our way back from the end of the Yorke Peninsular to Adelaide. It really became a Tour De Earthcache! If your geocache is such a hide, stand-by, as Steeba will soon contact you with our answers.

As is always the case with these trips, the company was the highlight, with banter non stop, the time went by in an instant.

We saw some amazing things, found some excellent caches, and had an absolute blast.

Ticking just over 1300 finds for the trip, you will have to excuse the boilerplate logs!

Thanks to all of the cache hiders for their efforts in placing and maintaining their hides. It was fantastic exploring this part of the world that I had never visited before. Thanks also to my geocaching partners, without whom such a trip would not be possible, nor fun!

The Rats, steeba and Hoojar have teamed up for a York Peninsula adventure of massive proportion. With much planning and logistical coordinating, we had a great five days meandering the country roads collecting a plethora of caches. Our journey started with a handful letterbox caches before heading down the peninsula following the “Gone Fishn” series. We followed this up with an array of geo-art images that litter the lower peninsula. Returning to Adelaide we collected a gaggle of old and rare finds which included some interesting earthcaches and virtuals.

My apologises for the generic log, but thanks to all the cache owners and caching buddies who made the road-trip such a memorable and fun experience.

Day 2 of the Yorke Peninsula adventure. The main goal for today was to finish the geoart and we made it! Anchor, fish, jellyfish, hook and two starfish! We also had time to collect a few traditional caches that were nearby. Far too much caching for any sane person... TFTC!

The SWAGJJ team has embarked on day 2 and are enjoying the caching pleasures of the Yorke Peninsula! So much on offer and such a wondrous part of our great land! So many caches makes for a busy and fun filled day! TFTC

Travelling down from Queensland with my fellow cachers Snickersallan, Waz and Vik, Ardom, Gcoven and JooJoo57. We have planned a week long adventure to collect all the geoart, the fishing line and anything else we can get. Thanks for the cache!

Day 2: Finished all the art today, held our event with some fantastic wood fired pizza, did a bunch of traditionals and to top it off Yorke Pennisular oldest.

After a successful day yesterday finding majority of the boat and all of the star fish with 184 caches in total. Today was a wet and windy one.

Solving this a few months ago planning to come and tackle this series when I had some time off before Uni exams!

Day 8 of BarnZy and Cravo’s trip from Perth to Adelaide

Today we completed the Fishy Tales Geoart on the bottom of the Yorke Peninsula.

Based in Warooka for two days we had caches our way down the Gone fishing series the day before so decided to get stuck into the geoart puzzles today. The puzzles were quite easy and monotonous to solve, but a great reward for a huge effort to solve them all.

We had a great time driving from cache to cache, and have really enjoyed the last two days caching the Yorke Peninsula. Something that has been a pipe dream of mine for some time. I’m so glad we were able to make it a reality.

I would like to thank the team behind the Fishy tales name who would have spend many hours planning, organising and setting up this great series for us to go and find. A big thank you.

Thanks for a great couple of days on the Peninsula, were gonna have a final crack at cleaning all of the Main powertrail caches up on our way to Port Augusta for our return leg home to Perth.

Day 8 of the Perth to Adelaide trip where we started in Warooka and ended in Warooka.

Today was the day, the second main reason for the trip over, the start of the Geo Art trails on the peninsula. We had over 1400 caches saved off line and a variety of others to now find in the next 3 days prior to starting the drive home

We had planned this for quite some time and until we broke it down for caches to be found v hours in a day the thought of how long the days would be didn’t cross the minds until the night before.

Once we realised that it was going to be some full on 12 hour days we were up at the crack of dawn each day energised with a good nights sleep, phones fully charged and looking forward to the day ahead.

Today was like yesterday very repetitive drive 200mt Park, get out, find cache, log cache, get back into car, load next cache, repeat...... obviously though that process there were a few changes to that order when we struggled to find the cache however most were just like that.

We were lucky enough or unlucky enough to have one of the warmest streaks or weather in Adelaide in April ever with the temp above 33 for 3 consecutive days. On the peninsula it was up to 37 for the best part of the day.

It was Day three on the Yorke southern end and this was the last of the Geo Art Series to complete before heading back up to Warooka to make serious inroads into the Gone Fishn series.
This road was by and large easy to cache on, a tad buier than some of the dirt roads for sure but easy to pull off to the side.
For some reason we had some minor coord trouble with these which added a few minutes but they were all found. Maybe one or 2 replacements if that.
Ususal wariness for local wildlife as it is snake season and we did see a few.

I was so lucky to have a lovely caching partner for these and Goodlook and I complemented each other perfectly, makes such a difference to a power trail experience!

Wow, day 3 and it was our biggest day in our caching histories (for both of us actually) - over 320 finds. Couldn't have done it without my bud

Found whilst on the Fabulously Random caching trip with my awesome buddy feathertop - from St Arnaud, Victoria to the Yorke Peninsula, South Australia with many, many random caching stops in between. [^] Today we focussed on a few random caches, completing the rest of the geo-art and then on to the Gone Fishn' - another huge day, but most enjoyable with a friend!

Our combined team name whilst on this trip was "Fabulous Randoms" and that is how the 'millions' of log books have been stamped (bar a few with our actual caching names in them).

We did replace a few caches on the various powertrails with the COs permission - due to caches that were broken, missing/lost in the copious amounts of undergrowth.

What a fantastic trip despite me having some GPSr dramas [:(!]....thank goodness for GSAK and being able to manually log finds. We encountered friendly flies, a brown snake up close and personal, hilarious moments, extremely sore muscles, some crazy driving decisions and loads of caches found on this adventure.

Today we completed the Jellyfish Geoart series as well as the Anchor, Fish and the Star Fish series with Roostaman. Some were quick finds others required some searching. We replaced and repaired caches along the way. We enjoyed the back roads and a good time was had.

We appreciate the time and effort gone into placing this series for our enjoyment.

Day 4, half sick we hit the road again. Big day today. And lots and lots of caches, some caches need some tlc, tftc, sl, tnln.

Day 4 of hitting the power trails with MR Jackylegs. We managed to grab the last 290 of the Gone Fishin Series even though the tracks were very muddy and slippery today.Like the last couple of days we replaced and repaired as we went along. With all 868 fishes caught we made a start on the geoart and we managed to get about 254 of them today and hopefully have them finished in the next 2 days. Thanks to all the CO,S for placing the caches..

jinta29 and I are in town this week after many months of planning for a week to remember. We are heading to the Yorke Peninsula, Murray Bridge and as many places in between as we can get to. This was one we found along the way.

Day 2 of our mammoth week begun with a very early start to try and grab some caches before the Anzac Dawn Service in Warooka . We were in full geocaching beast mode today and signing cache logs like they were in short supply [^].

I had been eyeing off an interstate trip for some time now and made plans to head to SA to power through the geoart trails over here . I roped in my geo buddy Krabiboy to join me and we set about solving [?] caches and highlighting Jasmer caches that aren't available over in WA. Our adventure took us from the CBD over to the Yorke Peninsula and then back across to the Murray Bridge area . We were relentless in chasing down the finds and picked up as many as we could in the week that we had available. Due to the park and grab nature of our visit, the log books which weren't able to accommodate the ink stamp we had made were signed with the initials 'jk'! Fave points will be awarded for those caches which are considered awesome

Second and final day of GeoArt Finding on the Yorke Pen. Did this and the Fish on a dusty and rainy day. Got all but one and will msg the CO and the grader had been through, with us rescuing a few and repositioning them out of harms way.

Great series, this completes Shark, Fish and Anchor and halfway through the boat. Good work Fishy tales for maintaining to the standard that we saw, We are sure having so many out would make it a full time job.

We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( South Australia and Northern Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!

We visit in Australia (Adelaide, Murray Bridge, Port Augusta, Whyalla, Coober Pedy, Uluru, Alice Springs, Port Vincent and other place which are on the way those places) on April 05.-20.

We see many beautiful place where we visit and enjoy every cache what we found, so humble thanks every cache owner that you hiding this cache!

Team ICE on a two week geocaching trip in Australia. Our main target was the Red Centre Experience at Alice Springs but of course we did some caching in other places too. We drove from Adelaide to Alice Springs and then back. We saw lots of interesting and beutiful places like opal mines at Coober Pedy, Ayers Rock and Kata Tjuta. Our rental travelled almost 6500km on gravel and tarmac roads. The weather was great, only on last day we got some rain.

All the caches logged as Team Ice, T-ice or Tice with kapeka, laalaa and Hiltsu. We had a great trip!

Today we had busy day with these puzzle caches. We got all but one of them logged.

#2366 Having just been to Marion Bay to grab some supplies, do some local caches and find a wood fired pizza for lunch we were now returning to camp. Why not start at the other end of the fish we asked? Why not finish the fish we also asked? Pity about the one dnf at #19 Thanks again Fishy Tales.

Our last afternoon on the Peninsula. Belly's full after our long lunch at Marian Bay Pub where we had a cheese and garlic wood fired pizza that was amazing and followed that with a steak sandwich for JSando and an asian slaw with prawns for me. The good things we'd heard about the pub were well deserved. The food was . Now we start on the fish, with a plan to do as many as we can stand (hopefully the whole fish) and then we'll peel off for a couple of local caches and head back to Coobowie Caravan Park to sleep before the mammoth drive home again tomorrow. We had 4 DNF's on the boat, but managed a full set of Sammi Starfish, so fingers crossed we manage a full set on the Fish too!
Again generic logs unless something different like a DNF or a cache/log replacement. We're already planning our next trip back. Thanks for bringing us to this beautiful part of the country.

Yorke Peninsula 2016. This weekend I joined Fitzy_1965, Sol de Lune and Luckyl10n for a six day trip to the South Australian Yorke Peninsula to get all of the geo art puzzles at the southern tip area. We had a great weekend and apart from about five DNFs were overall very successful. The trip started on Wednesday after work when Fitzy and I jumped in the car and drove to Narrandera for the night. The next day was a long day of driving to Adelaide via Balranald, Murrayville, Pinneroo and Tailem Bend. On Friday Fitzy and I went to Adelaide airport to collect Sol de Lune and Luckyl10n before heading to Port Wakefield and down the Peninsula to get started on the art. Thee days of art later we were all done by lunchtime on Sunday so went looking for another few short series near Port Wakefield. The trip ended with a two day drive home with all four of us via Mildura and Balranald. A fantastic weekend and I cannot wait till we can do another trip !

#5428 - 10:29; Day 2 of Team ALFS (albida 33, LuckyL10n, fitzy_1965 and Sol de lune) geoart appreciation tour of the Yorke Peninsula. After collecting a shark and a starfish on day 1, it was now anchors aweigh as we hauled in the anchor to start day 2. After a detour for a trad at the beach, it was back to fishin' around the pensinsula as we chased a smallish fish. Managed to locate all of the caches in this piece of geoart and most finds were easily achieved, although there were a couple which took a little time to reel in. TFTC Fishy Tales

Day two and we were up early and on the trail......starting with the Fish. Another good day but with a few DNF's during the day. Most of the finds were quickly in hand, but of course there were the odd ones where it took all 4 of us searching. A good weekend of caching a good time had by all.

Continuing along the GeoArt series with Team ALFS. So here we are finally at the main event we had planned for for over six months. Over the next three days we visited each of the 588 Puzzles - in between the odd non-GeoArt caches - for 581 finds and 7 DNFs which we are pretty sure in all cases are missing in action for various reasons - some quite unlucky like the car accident right on one GZ. Most were quick finds but of course there were the ones that took that extra searching to reveal the hidey hole.

Today was our first full day on the Yorke Peninsula, in the good company of fellow Geelong cachers Suscoe. We were caching for fish with numbers and fish in numbers! Once we got into a rhythm, things went smoothly with relatively quick stops at every cache, suitable weather and traffic conditions. A very pleasing total of over 250 finds for the day.

Suscoe was out and about today in the very good company of Phetlern catching up with the wonderful Geoart trails on the Yorke Peninsular.
It was a delightful day, a little bit of gentle breeze, some sunshine, some clouds and a bit of drizzle on one or two occasions.
The roads were pretty quiet today but the bird life of the area kept us company with various calls and fluttering from tree to tree.
We enjoyed the caches, the hides were mostly straight forward with a few tricky moments here and there.
We even saw then effects of some of the local wildlife with their chewing capacities on display on a few containers.
Thanks to the Fishy Tales folks for the work put into this series.
The day ended with over 250 finds for the day, a very satisfying achievement for we four geocachers.

2nd day of Bazinga01 and Arkbell80's S.A. caching adventure. Today we started at 8:30 in the morning at Sammy Starfish then onto Hook stopped in Marion Bay for some lunch then we tackled Sally Starfish and then half of the FT series. We stopped for dinner and went back to the Howling Dog for another great parma. After dinner we completed the Fish, Anchor and the rest of the FT series, throughout the day we also grabbed a couple of traditional caches. We finished all of the mystery caches at about 11.30 pm, what a great series, now back to Corny Point for the night and then back to Melbourne tomorrow. Thanks for all the hard work gone into these caches.

Apologies for the generic logs but had a long day caching. Staying over at Port Vincent but it was too nice a winters day not to get out and about caching. Having finished the starfish we thought we would start on this series until the light ran out. Another quick and easy series. . Thanks for setting and maintaining these series for us to enjoy the peninsula.

My apologies for the repetitive log entries but I’m sure you would understand why.
Day 2
Arkbell80 and I had seen these shapes on the map earlier in our caching career. I had been in awe of people attempting this many caches in only 2 days but in the words of Barnabus "Barney" Stinson (How I Met Your Mother) we thought, "Challenge accepted". We would like to have said we did hours of preparation with weeks of training for such an event but it ended up quite the opposite.

We decided to fly over from Melbourne so we could start fresh. After checking into the Corny Point Caravan Park (Base of Operations) we completed the "Boat" in a few hours on day 1. We then decided to complete Sammy Starfish, Hook, Jelly Fish, Sally Starfish, the Shark, Fish and Anchor on day 2. We started our caching day a little after 8:30am and finish the day around 11:30pm with dinner in between at the Howling Dog (Great Parma BTW). Alternating between driving and hunting helped keep us warm. Luckily on our second day the sun was out and our feet stayed dry. After 151 caches down on the first day we didn’t like our chances of finishing all remaining 437 caches today. In all, across the 2 days we spent around 19 hours of caching time with an average of about 1 cache every 2 minutes (drive, stop, find and get back in the car). This being said, the coordinates were very close to spot on for most of the caches and in a lot of instances we could see the cache or where it would be as we approached. Night caching, having it’s draw backs in some instances, was also easier for some parts of the series when you know what you’re looking for. Kangaroos hopping around at night didn’t prove much of a threat either because we rarely were driving fast or far enough to hit them. We did see a fair few though.

Our second caching day after completing all of the FT (Big Fish) series and now on to the Fish. This was a nice quiet road and we progressed quite well along these caches. It had been very windy and wet at times, but so far the weather hadn't put a dampener on our activities.

We found all of this Fish Series easy to find, with the odd one just a bit harder. Once we finished this series to Marion Bay Road, we swung by the General Store for a snack before we headed back to Point Turton.

On this occassion, I am doing a generic log. Fish, the name remined me of that card game we used to play as kids. Lovely landscapes and interesting roads. Thenk you. I have travelled from Queensland to meet up with Muff1 for a Geocaching extravaganza on the beautiful Yorke Peninsular. Our goal to Cache, Cache and Cache. Each day our "finds" have been growing in number, some days more productive then others. We have also been careful to take time to appreciate the natural wonder of the areas we have visited. The variety of caches was interesting, some very clever, some the quick grab they were designed to be. A big thank you to all of the dedicated Cache placers who have made this possible.

First we must appologise for the generic logs.

We came to Yorke Peninsular with Speedmistress who hails from Queensland to cache our little hearts out and this we are doing.

We solved loads of puzzles prior to coming and with all the earth, multi, trads and puzzles there are here we were never lacking in variety.

When we found caches that needed repair we have done our best to do what was possible, unfortunately we have now rum out of spare containers, so no more repairs can be done. We have enjoyed the scenery, the walks, the animal life and the challenges that was encountered while traveling the Peninsular. Not all the caches have been attempted due to time restraints but those have been earmarked for future visits.
We also would like to thank Speedmistress for supplying our geocaching chariot.

On Easter weekend I went to South Australia with KTCvic, zobo04, Gonefishin07, BorisB&Natasha, De Ja Vu and Bounty Trackers.

Everyone had a great time there finding 471 caches in 24 hours. Finding a total of 640 throughout the weekend that we were staying up there. All the caches were well hidden and some were difficult and some were easy to find. We had great time trying to be the person to find the cache before the others. Surprising us on Easter Sunday morning the Easter bunny had visited us in the night.

Easter Weekend - Yorke Peninsular - 3000kms - 640 caches - 4000 cache milestone.

After discussions with Gonefishen07 and Bounty Trackers a plan was hatched to visit the Yorke Peninsular to tackle the fish geo art over Easter. We set out Thursday lunchtime heading to Bordertown, a side trip to Minyip to check out Coopers Crossing was made. Friday we turned off at Murray Bridge and headed to Gawlar to check out Gawlar's Fort Knox, we had lunch at Port Wakefield before heading down to Marion Bay to meet everyone. The group Geo Nerds comprise of Gonefishen07, Zobo04, Bounty Trackers, KTCvic, de ja vu, Velocachu and BorisB&Natasha. We cached locally on Friday afternoon and hit the powertrails in earnest on Saturday where we finished on Sunday lunchtime. We then visited a number of caches on the coast to see some magnificent views. Monday saw us depart Marion Bay heading up to Balranald through Renmark grabbing a cache in three states in one day! A detour to Tocumwal then the drive back to Melbourne saw a fantastic weekend end. Thank you to Leesa, Zoe, Ash, Rob, Kate and Sioux for the fun, frivolity and friendship that made the weekend so great!

Saturday saw us having a real crack at the Geo Art power trails. Starting at Hook then Jellyfish, we moved across to Fish before starting some of Fish Tales. Heading back to HQ for lunch we then completed Sammy Starfish and majority of Boat before once again going back to HQ for dinner. We tackled Sally Starfish and some more of Fish Tales in darkness before calling it quits for the night. We managed 470 caches in the 24 hour period.

It was with great excitement that I headed to South Australia with the Geo Nerds consisting of Gonefishen07, Bounty Trackers, KTCvic, de ja vu, Zobo04 & Velocachu.
I have never cached outside of Victoria, nor in a group and I was really looking forward to it.
Every single one of us achieved a very memorable milestone made even more special because they were achieved with very special friends.
As we worked through each geo art I was amazed how quickly we all fell into a rhythm like well oiled machines, finding more caches in a day than I had ever thought possible.
Thank you so much Fishy Tales for the time and effort it must have taken to set this up. I'm sure it enables many groups like ours to get together, have lots and lots of fun and form life long friendships, all in the quest for a little plastic container.

Geo Nerds Yorke Peninsula caching exposition consist of Borisb&Natasha, Zobo04,De Ja Vu, KTCvic, Gonefishen07, Velocachu & Bounty Trackers.
Gonefishen07, Zobo04, Borisb&Natasha and myself Bounty Trackers left on Wednesday morning with one objective, to get Gonefishen07 cache finding count higher than KTCvic who was about 100 cache in front. We spent 2 days straight chasing caches all the way from Gippsland in Victoria to The York Peninsula in SA, where we finally got 8 caches ahead of KTCvic. The smile on Gonefishen face said it all ( I think the comment was made CATCH ME NOW Trenty ).

Along our journey we made a side trip to Gawler to get the multi Fort Knox cache which was on our hit list. What a brilliant cache. Well worth the detour. It will be getting a favorite point from me.
On Friday Velocachu, KTCvic & De Ja Vu graced us with there presence and it was time to start the Yorke Peninsula Geo Art Starting at Hook then Jellyfish, Fish, Anchor,some of Fish Tales,Sammy Starfish and most of the Boat, we then did Sally starfish, and the rest of Fish Tales and then finished with the leftover boat.

This was our 121st cache find in a caching run of 155 Finds & 0 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 13646.)

Day 7 (and final day) of our attempt to clean up the Geo-Art on the Yorke Peninsula.

Today we managed to cache our way through some of "Jellyfish", then we completed "Hook" before retracing our path to complete "Jellyfish" before finishing the day off with "Fish"

We thoroughly enjoyed the caches we found today, Our time from seatbelt off to find/log/hide & seatbelt back on has been drastically reduced - we must be getting used to this by now.

Please excuse our boilerplate logs. We know it's not really a good excuse, but we find it really difficult to craft individual logs when we attempt so many similar caches in a day.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found most caches within 5m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** In general the containers are in pretty good condition, but the "cache maintenance kit" we obtained from Freddo & Team Waldron came in very handy to fix up 22 split and UV damaged caches.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A smiley badge if the cache was big enough.

Found while on Yorke Peninsula with iluvtrekking. Fortunate to have amazingly clear, warm weather for duration of our stay which made for very pleasant caching. Cache condition good but we found some co-ords out by up to 16 mts, particularly towards the end numbers, however all found in the Fish series. Thanks Fishy Tales.
