A rare day with no work and no plans… So Blkthunder and I headed out on a country drive…
Heading south, the initial plan was abandoned soon after leaving home, so a small change sees us heading towards Christmas Creek, Lamington and Chinghee Creek…
It appears we’re following in the footsteps of Beardman75 & Captain Vimes… I’m pretty sure the barbed wire alone means this isn’t a T1…
Thanks Hot Wheels Duo

Out caching with CaptainVimes. Quick find although not sure how this is a T1. Thanks for the fun Hot Wheels Duo
Looks like this cache hasn’t had a visitor in a while but it was still in perfect condition. Tftc ️
Based at Rathdowney and this is one of the caches we targeted and found. Love the scenery and exploring. Thanks for hiding and enhancing our enjoyment of the area.
After a great walk up Neglected Mountain, it was time for a drive in this beaut part of the world. Green and lush after the recent rains.
Great views and some caches to match the views.
Thank you for this cache Hot Wheels Duo

Found this one as I kept driving south. Spotted it easily, which is unlike me. These little hides normally take me ages to find. No mailboxes any more, I think they've all been pulled down. A nice spot to stop and look around, thanks Hot Wheels Duo!
Felt like looking for a few caches, so put my geodog Scruffy in the car and headed to the Rathdowney area for the day.
Thought this might have been like a previous cache once found where there were 1/2 doz or so mailboxes all lined up, but there weren't any at all ..
Anyway, cache soon found and signed.
All Good .. TFTC ..

Heading to Christmas creek for a weekend of camping we made a short detour to grab a few caches down this road.
An easy find
Thanks

After attending the Stinson 80th Anniversary event at Christmas Creek, it seemed only natural to pick up a few smilies while in the area and along the way back home . Super quick park n grab here before moving along.
This cache is in good condition, and makes smilie #3272. Thanks **Hot Wheels Duo** for bringing us here. Feel free to discover our trackable TGQNRV .

After the Stinson Event it was time to go caching - with a full yummy tummy.
I had a minor technical glitch where my data for the caches down this Valley got corrupted.
So with no description, hints or logs I hit the trail.
I saw one of these yesterday so that was a quick find.
These 1/1's don't do my stats any good at all.

Stinson Weekend! Today is the Westray grave site walk in the morning and some afternoon caching as well. We found thirteen caches yesterday afternoon on our way to the camping grounds (although we are taking in more of the comfort of a cabin!)
On the afternoon of the second of our three days, we headed up Chingee Creek Road in search of the nine traditional geocaches there. A quick drive by geocache.
Log signed & replaced again. Found at 4.15pm on 18th February 2017. TFTC, Hot Wheels Duo.

Out for an afternoon to pick up a few geocaches after having walked to the Westray Grave as part of an anniversary event. Tftc
Out for a little clean-up run with Goldielover and stairman 1. Thanks for the cache and the pleasant scenery along the way.
Found with goldielover and Ruzzelz while on our way home from Stinson park.

Out for a caching day with Snickersallan, Jaid07 and Aussie Liahona. Weather conditions were perfect for searching and the scenery was unbelievable!
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Lovely little part of the countryside and another quick find due to the good hint. Thanks Hot Wheels Duo and TFTC
Out camping for the weekend with the CO. I went off the do some caching whilst Mr EMC and this CO were walking the Stinson! I don't remember seeing any mail boxes although I probably wasn't looking. It is quite hard parking a Sherman tank on some of these little country lanes at times. Quick to spot cache and sign log. TFTC.
Out with the CO, monkey maker and Just a Trifle while the CO was hiding new caches. She was kind enough to stop by this one for us to sign.
Thanks HWD
Thanks HWD
Out driving around the country side with the CO and dahumbug and Just a Trifle this afternoon. We managed to hide a couple for the event out here this weekend as well as findng a few to convert to smilies. A shame we didn't find this one as intended but it's still in place and good to go.
It's always a pleasure being escorted around by the CO of the caches.
Thanx HWD and congrats again on making it up the hill to the Stinson crash site

We were in the area to attend the "Christmas Creek - the Stinson Weekend" Event and with our campsite all set up, we thought we had finished for the day and were sitting around chatting when Hot Wheels Duo announced she had to go out to place a few new caches for the event and asked who wanted to go along with her. Well Mrs Just a Trifle didn't need to be asked twice and along with Monkey Maker and dahumbug, she headed off for a bit of caching along the way.
It was time for Mrs Just a Trifle to do some of the work to find a cache, but it didn't take long and with our names in the log book, we were soon on our way again, getting ever so much closer to the campsite again.
Thank you Hot Wheels Duo for having placed the cache for everyone to find.

A trip south was overdue so we thought today we'd hit the Christmas Creek Kerry area and, hopefully, pick up some extra smilies.
I must be missing something as the 'Mail Boxes' eludes me?
A quick find, signed & relaced as found.

Out for the day with K8'n'Co, Curare63, T-Tech, IolantheK, Selva Girls, Mnance, Waimak and Brother Colin. Waimak was kind enough to be the taxi for half of us. We were all in the area for a long weekend event so we had plenty of time to cache. Beautiful day and we all had a lot of fun in this lovely area. 6030 for us. Thank you Hot Wheels Duo for placing and maintaining this cache.
A camping weekend at Christmas Creek. A group of cachers were heading out to hike up Running Creek. I joined them for the adventure. We collected the caches along the way. This was the first. With a large group searching for the cache, it didnt take long to find. We all signed the log. the cache was rehidden and we made our way back to the cars and on to the next one
Today I am taking a hike down at Running Creek in the company of -Tech, Brother Colin, mnance101, curare63, The Green Geckos, Selva Girls and Waimak. Along the way we stopped to collect all the caches.
curare63 spotted this one while we were all looking elsewhere TFTC, Hot Wheels Duo.

Out caching with Hot Wheels Duo and found this one without to much trouble. Thanks for the cache in this lovely part of the world.
Hot Wheel Duo sat in the car and laughed.
No mail box to be seen now.

Found with bennyboppers heading home from a wonderful weekend with fellow cachers. Another quick stop and the cache was quickly located and signed and then off down the road. Beautiful country side out here. Thanks for bringing me out this way. Tftc
After a walk today to try to get to Running Creek Falls, I decided to do a few caches on my way home. A nice quick find. TFTC HotWheelsDuo!
Today Dannza and I set off for a day of caching. We both have been off the caching radar lately and having withdrawals. Found but the "Killer Ants" went wild! It may need to be moved a little as I think the cache is right in the middle of their home. TFTC Hot Wheels Duo
Mr Herbz tried to avoid the ants as he tried to work this cache free. I bravely watched from afar! We did our bit of CITO at this one too.
Thanks Hot Wheels Duo.
Thanks Hot Wheels Duo.
Those angry ants are still here! Mr. Herbz was the one who braved them whilst Mr. Gap and Mrs. Herbz stood by encouraging him. The cache was shoved in tight but eventually he worked it loose without getting bitten. TFTC Hot Wheels Duo.
After a short hunt, we found it but it is trapped in with a LOT of ants! And they are huge so no not putting my hand there especially after upsetting them a little. Nice area though!
cache find #2119. Love to look at country letterboxes as we travel about. Some interesting ones out there. MrGT54 found the cache in no time at all. TFTC.
After a very early start and a walk up to the Stinson crash site I had a whole afternoon to fill in. I decided to round up some of the "new" caches in the area.
I did this one on the way along the road which was lucky because there was a car waiting near GZ when I was heading back. Time for the scholl buses to pass by.
A nice quick find thanks. There are some great mail boxes around and it would make an interesting game of I Spy

I love this series of caches, thanks for placing them. I saw a microwave being used as a letterbox, strange. When I was a kid we had a large 20litre detergent bottle that Dad had brought home from work when it was empty, he cut a slot and it was our letterbox. My favourite is the milk can!
Another find out along this country road today. Sadly most areas are dry, with the exception of some dairy farms. But we still found the country beautiful, and many of the features of life, both vintage and modern, interesting and unusual. Thanks for this little series that brought us again to a lovely part of SE Qld.
After making a brief stop at Stinson park, I took a little detour on the way back north and venture along another country road. This was the first stop on this off shoot and it was interesting to see the nearby Mailbox, on oversize country proportions.
I parked the car and took a little wander over in the direction the GPSr was pointing and I was happy to make short work of the find here. I soon had my name in the log and was moving on further into the unknown.

Out and about today for a morning drive down this way to find a few new caches.
A quick find .. as it is very similar to a lot of caches in these parts.
Thanks for the cache.

Very easy find, it was on the ground for all to see, think it could do with some owner maintenance as the holder is very loose, tried to squeeze it closed. TFTC
Saw this morning that this cache was still unfound so decided to head out this way for a country drive and see if we were lucky enough to grab a couple of FTF's. It seems to be a while since we have been this fortunate. Found a nice clean log and signed as FTF at 11:18am. Thanks Hot Wheels Duo for these new caches out this way. It's lovely to scatter such beautiful scenery with new caches to bring us here. [^][^]
