After some council works in the area the cache has gone missing, I should have it replaced by 27/11/24.
No luck today. Looked while out on a bike ride. Relooked the next day when driving past. Something that was attached to the sign has been dismantled and the bits a lying at the base of the sign. No idea if this is related to the geocache.
TFTC! Warwick Show Holiday brought me to this area today and being quite a cool day made for no muggles in the area. No reception here, but a check of previous logs photos had me knowing exactly where to look and what to find. Very cleverly hidden all the same. Log sheet is very wet, though.
Log sheet is very wet and soggy. You arent able to write on this log sheet unless you have the right pen. Needs replacing and some plastic.
I was out this way in Nov/22 but there was too much water around to attempt this cache. It's amazing the difference that 11 months can make! Thanks to reading previous Activity Comments and looking at photos, this was an easy find. Many thanks to the previous cachers who left tips. Cache & log book in good condition & no problems with opening the cache container. TFTC
After camping the night at Storm King Dam we drove around to check out the other parts of the dam. I used the coords provided in a previous log which helped and then found the cache. The logbook was saturated and I was unable to remove it. I have a photo if required.
A really pretty area, thanks for bringing us here Mag00ly

Checked on the cache this morning (15/5/23), all is well, it is still there with his friends.
This one has Definetly been taken pretty clear where cache would have been but not there
Stanthorpe has called me back. A one-night weekend and a time to re-experience a bunch of what this region has to offer. Including geocaches. Heading north after a quick maintenance trip to Girraween, I decide to come via Storm King. It's been a long time since my last visit, and there's new geocaches here.
Looking at this icon on the map, I had doubts. Mainly doubts that it would be in place given the last few logs. But for some silly reason, I decided to check it out anyways. If nothing else, it's a wonderful drive. And upon arrival, just lovely to see the dam so full once again. And on a perfect day, it looked spectacular!
I parked up and hopped out of the car. The app pointed across the road. But looking about, I had another idea, buoyed by other logs saying there might be inaccuracy in the co-ordinates. I took a few steps and immediately found the geocache. It was clear to me I had found it - but certainly had issues getting it open. Seems a little bit of WD-40 love might be in order here.
With the log signed at 12:15 I replaced as found and noted the co-ordinates that worked for me today: **S28 44.060 E151 59.384**. And then I enjoyed the area a little more before heasding off for the next on my list. Thanks for this geocache, Mag00ly

Out on a Sunday afternoon after finishing our chores. Chose this area just because.....
Arrived here searching at obvious spot before going to Ground Zero, which was Approx 15 metres away. Then I went back to original search point, and found the well cammoed cache, which is Wet and Rusty
thanks Mag00ly - clever hide

I’ve never seen such a sneaky container, almost gave up but it was the last place I looked. This one will screw you over for sure.
The GPS had me on the wrong side of the road, but spreading our search soon turned up the cache. TFTC!
Our last cache of the day and what an awesome one - really sneaky but loved it
Exploring the Granite Belt for one week. Hiked up to Castle Rock, the Sphinx and Turtle Rockt and continued caching in the afternoon on our way back to Stanthorpe. The log was very wet. Tftc Mag00ly
We spent quite a while searching around here. We widened our search area but then we kept coming back to one particular spot which is where we had parked the car. There wasn't anything obvious at this spot but just over the road there was something interesting hmm... Mrs Herbz read the cache page again, she then read some previous logs and an idea began form in her mind. She crossed the road and spotted something curious and made the find. Yes it is sneaky, and a great cache. An FP from us TFTC
Spending an amazing week in the area. After the recent rain, it is beautiful and lush. I have never seen so much water around. TFTC.
TFTC. It was fun did start to drive me nuts not being able to find it a first but that was just the geo kids. So nice to see the dam full
It’s some years since I beadled around the Stanthorpe region and the promise of a temperate climate and low humidity drew me here. Lots of caches, cheese, jam, wineries, truffles, happy hour, awesome scenery, you get the picture Even managed to convert a muggle to our evil ways Lots of fun!
Sneaky! All is good with this cache
TFTC Dropping a FAVE point here.

Fine and sunny with a lovely breeze to cool us down. We were socialising and sightseeing today, with picnic lunch at Girraween. Decided there were a few unfound caches at Storm King Dam area so came up the back road. Something here looked a little out of place, and it was the cache. Added to the log, and replaced. Mrs George had never seen one of these containers! TFTC Mag00ly.
XLNT find by Mrs Burnout55. Just about given up and about to confirm previous DNF, but voila, there t’is. Maybe we had more wine!

With all the easy finds in the logs we couldn’t believe that we couldn’t come up with the goods today. Maybe our next wine visit we will rectify the problem. Thanks anyway
On our way to QOGM (Blackall) day 13 of our trip. 20 caches for the day and 416 for the trip.TFTC
Staying at caravan park on Dam so went for a drive today to get the ones we hadn’t already got on walks.
Loved this container.
Loved this container.
The spot is a few meters out, but weather you find it, is up to you, great find, love these tricky ones, with Tigernutte.
Moved up here from Girrawen National Park this morning in search of caches and souvenirs. Parked the van and after morning tea set off around the lake in search of caches. This wasn't too far from where we are camped so it was the next on our to do list. Monty, aka my GPSr, had me running in circles but once at GZ it was a very quick find. Thanks for placing this caches for us to find. Logs were signed as SG if appropriate according to space avaiable.
Log is very soggy and falls apart when trying to retrieve it from the cache. Needs a new log.

Paper is a bit soggy and hard to sign

we have returned to Stanthorpe to visit our friends Team Robbins before we continue on our adventures north. We still have many caches to find around this beautiful part of Queensland and with the weather being so perfect we set out to find a few. This is one of several we found today.
thanks

6966 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 150. A suggested drive to view the lake. It wasn't until we stood back that the cache was found. GZ for us was the middle of the roadway. Cache In good condition. SL Tnx Mag00ly
3rd for the day with friends JABAK123. Nice hide. Seen one like that before. Great spot by the dam. Should come back with a line. TFTC
TFTC we had two devises & were being sent in two directions. Took a while but ah ha then had it in hand! Log in good order
Great place to stop and look for a cache and it took us a while to find. Love the container and think it deserves a favourite point from us. TFTC Mag00ly

Whoo Hoo, a 5 day weekend and what better way to spend it than dragging our little van down to Summerville Tourist Park and sampling some of the finer things Stanthorpe has to offer, wine, cheese, fruits and berries and of course caches.
After not finding this cache about 4 weeks ago I came back for another attempt, searched the same places I didn’t find it last time for the same result. Eventually went it has to “there” as it makes sense that it would be, can’t believe as an engineer I missed this clever hide last time. If this is Mag00ly’s first hide, I’d hate see one when they learn to be sneaky.
The hide is excellent, the container is in good nick and the log is is ready for the next finder.
We took nothing but memories, we left nothing but footprints and our tag.
Thanks for the cache Mag00ly.
Cheers

The last of my 6 planned caches before Father's Day breakfast at the nearby van park. The best GPS fix I got had me standing in the middle of the road. Looked for about 10-15 minutes then the unmistakable smell of bacon wafting across the dam made me give in and head back.
Perhaps next time.

Found nice and easily while camped nearby. This is such beautiful country and we enjoyed caching here!! Tftc
Spending a few days in the local area and decided to pick up a few caches whilst out and about with geo friends. Even though there were DNF's we thought it was still worth a visit whilst in the district. Just about to give up when I spied something out in the open that looked familiar and low and behold it was the cache. Placed it where it should belong near the 'others'. Thanks for the cache Mag00ly
Now whether or not we stopped for this cache on the way back depended on whether or not the crowd of fishers were still there on the way back,as it turned out obviously we stopped and bingo,a nice hide.TFTC.
The GPS had us on the road so we had to search around a few places.
I could not find this one but eventually possum found the cache after I had already looked there.
We have been to Storm King dam before but not up this way and across the other side.
Thanks Mag00ly for a great cache.
