Tftc this was a tricky one, lots of crawling in the scrub. Found eventually by my partner when we had given up
A great little adventure to pick up a few caches here and avoid the traffic home. This one stymied us at first until we worked out the right approach line. TNLN despite being tempted by the sparkly bow tie!
Found it after we had given up and were heading out. With help from Carmacita
An interesting area to visit, and as often happens with geocaching there was something learnt. We parked in the shade of a big tree and walked to the locked gate which had a sign "trespassers will be prosecuted." Like everone else, we ignored it. There were three caches to be found! A short walk and a short search and we had CIH. TFTC
#7034 (2 of 5 today)
Decided to head south this afternoon for today's finds. Thought I'd go for the three hides around Garrawarra Centre / Hospital. And one or two more en route...
Ended up getting all of the five I attempted.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Parked and made my way to this one.
Once close I headed into the bush. The iPhone was very fickle under the trees and as a result I wandered a bit before finally getting to the correct spot - well away from the two areas it mainly pointed me towards.
Made the grab and completed signing duties, then replaced and back to the trail and my next target.

You've probably heard of 'The Tower' of London, or 'The Leaning Tower' in Piza, 'The Two Towers' in LOTR, but 'The Six Towers of Helensburgh' ??! Interesting location. Easy find. TFTC Team MavEtJu
Found with teamMerlin and the phlphotos. With the cache in hand we signed the log before replacing as found. Both the cache container and log are in good condition. Thanks for the cache Team MavEtJu.
Out with phlphotos and JJCC in order to find a nearby large cache for some challenge caches in the ACT and Victoria...and picked up this cache on the way. Walked out along the tracks and made a very quick find at GZ. With the cache in hand we signed the log before replacing as found. Both the cache container and log are in good condition, after signing we replaced as found. Thanks for the cache Team MavEtJu.

Kiwi Chicks are in Aussie! We are Nosynel, Infoferret, Jude_E and Ethness. Over for the Ozgeomuster and trying to do as many caches as we can in the time we have here. Sometimes we signed as KC. It was very warm here. Another good sized cache. Thank you!

Thanks Team MavEtJu for placing this geocaches 7124 find for me. There was no great plan today apart from hopping on a plane from Christchurch to Sydney early in the morning with one of the team Jude_E. The plan is to take the train to Wollongong and then get picked to go to the Mega. Who knows how many geocaches we will find today.
The time has finally arrived for a massive Australian road trip with The Kiwi Chicks. We are GraciesGPSfun , thedbees , Ethness, Infoferret , Jude_E and me Nosynel. We might sometimes sign the geocaches as KCs or TKCs.
Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.
======== NZ Mega 2020 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2020 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. Thanks for hiding this geocache.

Into the bush I glided while NosyNel found a path. It was definitely dark at GZ.

Found quickly with Haasdyk (by Haasdyk) on my first geocaching outing in quite some time. TFTH!
An interesting and historic area! Over a hundred years old, and most of it no longer in use. Thanks for the hide.
#2554 came down to this area to look for a few caches but ended up hurting myself on approaching this cache. I walked into a spiders Web while not watching where I was going too interested in the numbers on the GPSr counting down. Like the joke says do more aerobic exercise walking into spiders webs face first then trying to untangle myself a couple of turns & pirouettes then a rendition of "and we all fall down". At this point it is grab at the knee point with no ACL it is always a fright when the knee gives way. Can I stand up just holds me up better find the cache quickly then head home to put ice on it
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache Team MavEtJu

Found on our way to drop off a travel bug at the five star hotel took a while as a lot of hiding spots around gz and the gps being 6 meters out
It was a glorious afternoon to strike out to find this cache. We had been saving this one to coincide with a cache check of our "Forgotten" cache so close by. It took about 10 minutes to find as the camo matched the location really well.

After visiting the cemetery, and a nice cycle along the trails, I stopped to pick this one up on my way back. No problems finding the cache which is in good order.
I was at a locked gate to get access to the nearby trig. Two 4wd vehicles came up the trail. One was a girl from the waterboard, (I think), and she was escorting a bloke out of the area. There was no way I was going in there to get a look at the trig. She wouldn't budge. All other trails in from the main road had the same signs forbidding entry. I was not game to be caught in there after being told. $44,000 fine. Any tips from the CO about legally accessing the caches would be greatly appreciated.
Tftc. A nice stroll to here dodging motorbikes and other catchers. Quick find, great coords.
Today I wanted to take a trip to Helensburgh to fill a spot in my D/T Grid. Since I made it this far, it only made sense to collect some caches in the area, as I creep closer to the 2000 milestone.
Parking up near the towers and started off on my walk. I made a quick find at GZ with no muggles around leaving me free to do the searching. TFTC

Team MavEtJu I found your cache The six towers on 3/1/17, 12:19 pm. This is my find #1819 and find #8 today. Out with the geodog and no problems locating the cache and getting my hand smeared black. Thanks for the cache! TNSLLN
Found with Mikev1 as I edge closer to 1000 finds. This was #997.
Parked next to the gate and made the short walk to GZ. Easy find, though I was the one who got dirty hands. Exchanged TBs. Nice day to be out walking and caching. TFTC

Out on a perfect summer's day caching with Brewmaker (who was reaching a major milestone) around the Helensburgh and Woronora Dam areas.
We drove through the hospital, which contains some nice old buildings, and chose a road that led us right beside the water towers. Ignored the signs (they don't apply to geocachers) and after a short walk along the dirt road we arrived in the gz area. Brewmaker walked up and spotted the large cache straight away. Signed the log and replaced it accordingly. TFTC

A great cache in an interesting location. The container suits the hide PERFECTLY!
My hand got a bit black in the retrieval though like lots of other peoples would have too!
Thanks for bringing me here! Nicely sized too, but this is just the beginning

Found after visiting some of the local abandoned heritage rail tunnels and on the way to the Five Star Hotel. Took a little finding. The coords had us a bit further into the Bush. We had given up and were leaving when Geomum spotted this in its hidey hole. Thanks!
Came out here once before but got to creeped out because it was night time! 2nd cache for the day!
No trackable inside hope it still ok, great cache great his great history loved it TFTC

Agenda for the day had been to return to six caches that had either needed maintenance or I had run out of time to grab. Ticked off five with the last one now in need of maintenance since my last recon. As that one had required some distance and effort, I was still stewing on my way home so randomly decided to detour along the old highway and complete my daily target with this one (maybe something prophetic in the name [^]). Third cache that has brought me to this area and though it was probably distance more than anything that had delayed an attempt, the actual find was a lot easier than expected. Though well concealed, actually spotted container at the right angle from over a metre away. Grabbing a pair of gloves from the car I came away relatively clean, though maybe my black clothing hid the real tell-tale signs of the retrieval.
we are around the motherland / Helensberg and seeking a couple of caches and grabbed this one also. a quick find was made, did the duties and placed as found. TFTC
After finding the cache nearby, I ventured back to this one in the hopes of making a quick find due to time constraints. Surely enough, I spotted the hidey hole almost instantly. Luckily my hand remained its natural colour upon retrieval. Tftc
Out geocaching with the kiddies including a geocaching newby. Had visited this area before doing hazard reduction burns as a volunteer with the New South Wales Rural Fire Service, plus also a call out to a garage on fire just a few weeks ago. But never been geocaching here before. Lots of leaches after the rain though -eek.
I came in from the wrong track so it was a bit of a bush bash. Quickly found and logged and found the short way back.

Found it with Irvaky. I got a bit blackened but his man hands would have been worse. The GPS took us about 5m from the spot at first.
As Aries44 who I was with had already found this one, he kept his hands pristine whilst I located and retrieved the cache.

Looked in the right spot at the wrong angle at first.

TFTC - I thought this one was closer to human structure, but alas, a little bush walk, and getting my hands dirty for a cache again... #totallyworthit.
Great container...
No Periscope or video of this one today. But I did take a great shot of the water towers... Go to my Facebook page, The Aussie Geocacher, Seemyshell.

I was a bit sus' about driving into this place, and it didn't help when I parked and read the signage near the water tanks...I forged on never the less, and had a frustrating time in the scrub until I examined one of the first spots I had checked a bit closer and there it was. I found it about 5m NNW of where my GPSr wanted me today.
went for a dive to Helensburgh to find a few caches nice walk looks like there must of been a fires here really liked the walk.
We went to Helensburgh today... wow! Here are some very awesome caches! Thank you for this cache, really enjoyed finding this! (:
The last of the three in this immediate area. Took a little while to find the cache as GPS signal kept wandering around.
Set out today to hit the 1000 mark but needed 5 more caches before the big one.
That gave me the chance pick up a few of these new(ish) caches by Team MavEtJu on the way from Sydney down to the Escarpment. TFTC!

I'd been out this way some time ago for the nearby cemetery cache. Today I was soon on foot and after a bit of a search this one was in hand.
Thanks
Thanks
I've been meaning to find this one for a while now, but lost due to rain, and muffled by the house right near the gate.
This time an Optus service hit footed through the gate to the closest tower. I ignored him.
At gz I was surrounded by viscous fallen trees and long grass that it was difficult to navigate. Nothing at the coordinates, but spread out to look further. Shame that i took the hint too figuratively that i focused on something much further away before singling ion the cache as I was giving up.

Took a little while to spot this one. The ground is very disturbed here. In fact the whole area looks like it's covering up a lot of buried rubble. TFTC

Wondered a bit about the six towers but it makes sense now I read the description- because at GZ it is very devoid of towers !. A quick find though once at GZ. TFTC!
Have been in this area a few times already, mostly in the dark to do searches!! Today with daylight it looked totally different and the smell of burning was still very present. Love quality containers like this!

TFTC,
Went south to complete an EarthCache for the Road Trip souvenir and picked up a couple of new caches on the way home. My GPS took me to a location about 6M from GZ. After expanding the search area with the aid of the clue, I soon was the container.
Visited a group of trackables.

Found on our way home from completing the earth cache on Sea Cliff bridge, this cache was well hidden GZ was out, so looked around for a while (as you can see from the photo), took coin to move on. Thanks to Team MavEtju.
I cleaned my desk and found this GeocachingNSW 2013 Geocoin.
Since it's useless to have it collect dust, let's see how far I can get it go before it disappears.

FTF at 2:45pm. Just finished domestic duties and this new cache popped up. No time to put the caches on to the Garmin, the smart phone will have to do. Arrived at the parking...I've been here before!
Headed down the track and past the towers with signs that the battle had moved on. Some rusty equipment was spotted left behind by those Victorians (a rusty old Furphy water cart) Now how do I access this...is it a cave or what? Soon in the area and spotted. TN Left a small peg and SL. In my haste I didn't spot NSW Geocoin........it was so dark in there! TFTC Team MavEtju.
