Probably time to assure us all that the cache is still here! If not please either replace it or archive it and free up the spot for other cachers who might want to place a cache here. Cheers.
It was only a quick search as there are not many places to look. I then read the previous logs and decided that I wouldn't spend any more time at it.
Couldn't locate this one. Found lots of little dinosaurs in the grass though, which my son gladly took ownership of. Think i found where it might have been, but hopefully just wasn't clued up enough to locate this time. 5 DNF in a row. Possibly muggled?
Couldn't find this one pretty sure I found where it was supposed to be but wasn't there
Coords were easy to establish and looked in all the logical places - nothing to be found. Clue said "Get down on hands and knees" so I sat - on an ant den. Very painful. Not a good start to my first experience geocaching in Australia.
TFTC. Have taken trackable "Surfer Girl Ride the Wave" and will move her along to great surf beach
Placed a trackable to continue to beautiful beaches around the world. Please keep it moving. Many thanks. Lovely find...off to the swell sculpture festival next.
We are having a couple of night at Boyd's Bay caravan park before heading home.
This was an area we had not been to before so it was a very nice scenic drive, geocaching as we went.
Visited some great locations & found some interesting caches.
Thanks for placing this cache king-fisher8

This is find number 1988 for me. Geez I was only 10 in 88 but I still remember going to Expo 88 opening day. I think I even still have the medallion they handed out to school kids somewhere at home.
Anyway was on my way home when I thought, umm one more, so I headed over here. There was a woman snoozing on the bench seat near GZ but she was snoring her head off so it was an easy search. I soon hand my name on the log and then it was time to head home.
Thanx again king fisher

Nice easy one.. TFTC. On our way back to Bathurst from the Gold Coast and thought we would take the opportunity to do some caching. Left a lady bug
#842 Yet another of king-fisher8's caches found today. I had to wait until a muggle eating lunch nearby finished and went on her way. Thanks for this one too!
Our second attempt at this cache, last time it was a hot summer's day with lots of muggles picnicking around GZ. Today was too cold for that so we were clear to hunt. After trying a couple of likely locations Mrs. Herbz suddenly spotted something and Mr. Herbz put his hand in and retrieved the cache. TFTC.
Geo Wife & I were having a break away for a couple of days and this was our middle day and it was all OURS!!!!
We had a relaxing start to the morning and then decided to head down this way as there were a nice group of caches we hadn't visited yet.
It was an absolutely perfect day with brilliant blue sky, just the right temperature and not too much traffic.
This was our first stop and we were able to park quite close and strolled over to GZ.
The beach and sea looked absolutely magnificent and drew our attention away from the cache to start off with.
When we did start looking Geo Wife came up with the prize quickly/
Thanks King-Fisher8 TFTC SL

This was tricky with so many people around but managed to be stealth. Thanks for the cache king-fisher8!
Last day of our stay in Tugun, and thought we'd try and grab this one after a swim at the Surf Club. Tiki 3 spotted it straight up, so was good to get a cache before we left. TFTC.
Kids had trouble with this one but I found it pretty easy while they were playing! Really enjoying the locations. TFTC. Kids were very excited when we found the travel bug and now our first Geocoin Buddy! They want to go out tomorrow again now to relocate them.
Visiting from WA but familiar with this area after visiting here a few times previously. I thought I knew how this one might be hidden and it turns out that I was right. Thankfully, it didn't take much scrounging at all. The nearby magpies seemed to be mighty curious about what I discovered and it seemed that they were hoping there might be something edible in it for them. Quite a lot of rain about today, but I managed to dodge the downpours this time. TFTC king-fisher8
On my way home from work.
A couple of quick finds on the way.
Thanks for the cache.

Having been at John Flynn this morning and finding another couple of caches I stopped in at Hungry Jack's for some lunch and took it to the beach front here to partake of the scenery and then hopefully find the cache. The sky was so blue, the sea was so blue, the sand was so golden, the sun was shining, it was all perfect, until some poor lady fell up the kerbing and landed on the concrete path. Fortunately after the initial shock she was o.k. and I was then able to go find the cache. I admired the ocean near GZ and then got to looking for real. Found the cache, signed the log, and replaced it so it couldn't be seen by muggles. Thanks for the enjoyment of the area I experienced today when I came to look for this cache king-fisher8. [^][^]
The cache was muggled today but it's now been replaced!
Trackable is gone though
Trackable is gone though
Found easily but the log is soaked and no trackable
Probably needs a bit of maintenance

Thought it was near the dunes by the coordinates but it's not! My daughters 1st Geocache !
It took a minute or two to work out which Pandanus tree I needed to investigate. The GPSr was trying to tell me to look at another tree. Picked up the Algonquin geocoin. TFTC
We had a look around but there were too many muggles for us to spend a lot of time searching. TFTH
A great day of caching with Swellerfungus. Our original plan for the day had involved climbing a hill or two but with the weather looking unfavourable we tossed about a few ideas and initially agreed on a trip to the Gold Coast to grab some caches to fulfill various Jasmer, DT and old cache requirements as well as picking up some solved puzzle caches. The morning started at 5am in rainy conditions but by the time we hit the coast the weather had turned lovely and we both wished we'd brought our swimmers. As we picked up a few caches we realised they all seemed to be different DT combinations and our thoughts turned to chasing the 25 unique DT challenge. So totally unplanned and unscripted we started the countdown required, steadily progressing through the grid, slowed up every now and then by the odd DNF. After 14 and a half hours we had completed our 25 different DTs and picked up some great caches along the way.
A lot of muggles around in the park but thankfully none close enough near GZ to worry about. It did take some surreptitious searching before we eventually located the hide, and with Swellerfungus acting as a human shield I managed to make the grab and sign the log. TFTC.

A long weekend offers a great opportunity to get out and about for some caching. The weather however had other ideas...or so it seemed. With a rain cloud over proceedings Seffnjarah opted to head out to collect some outstanding solved puzzles (some unsolved by me until the night before!), some challenge caches, some 'oldest 100 in QLD' caches, some Jasmer filling caches, some higher D/T caches, and ultimately some interesting caches. Shortly after starting we realised that our choices had given us a great start for the 25 Different D/T ratings in a day challenge (GC5C5PB). In all a fun and challenging day around the 'Dark Side' of Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Took us a while to get the gist of what we were supposed to find, but SNJ eventually came up trumps. He did a great job of looking inconspicuous!
Thanks KF8

Perhaps today wasn't the best day to do this cache. As I arrived at the general vicinity of the cache there were dozens upon dozens of tents of different surf life saving clubs from throughout QLD and hundreds of paddle boards on trailers parked up on the grass. It appears they are holding some sort of championships here at the moment. You can even see a speaker wrapped up in plastic in my GZ pic. Nevertheless this was a quick find. Lovely spot for a cache of course. TFTC. SL.
I left the family to their own thing at our holiday unit at Kirra this afternoon while I went out and chased a few of the caches around Tugan.
When I pulled up in the carpark here I was a bit put off by all the muggles enjoying the park facilities, but figured I would at least do a recce of GZ while I was here. My plan was to return in the early morning or at night, but when I saw that nobody was looking in my direction when I spied the cache, I made a quick grab for it. I wandered elsewhere to mark the attendance book before returning it to its hidey hole.
Thanks for a quick find that rounded off my afternoon caching outing, king-fisher8.

Liam, Eli and Gwen found this tricky spot after stopping for a swim. Thank you. We plan to plant some new ones in the Tugun area today.
Had a very long look but may not have had the abstract thinking brain working to trace this one. Next time won't advertise to my geokid that there are fun little gifts inside Tfth!
Out geocaching for the day with DiamonJs. Started early as it was predicted to be a very warm day - so glad we did. A lovely place to hide a cache. TFTC.
Quick find dropped off Tb

Have often driven past here and looked across and wondered what the beach was like in here, well now I know and found a cache at the same time.TFTC.
At the end of a busy day, we decided to go for a walk to have a look for this cache, arriving on site to find a clear picnic ground with the occasional walker. The general co-ordinates, the landscape in that particular area, and a suspiciously placed couple of pandanus leaves suggested ground zero and with a break in the walking traffic we made the find and moved to the fence line to sign the log. We'd missed meeting Dchanell by just 25 mins. Oh well!
Returning the cache was a different matter, more walkers and a lifeguard standing in front of the surf club. We stayed at the fence watching an enthusiastic touch football game on the beach. The walkers continued to walk, and the lifeguard moved in side so we were able to rehide the container and continue on our walk.
Thanks for the cache.
