Thanks got confused as hint points to something else other than where the cache is
Found the hint item, then another one, then a third. Finally found the cache. Phone was showing 7m. tftc#7291
This one was the last cache for tonight. We had had such a big day of walking and hunting that even though we didnt quite get to 50 caches for the day, we decided to call it quits. I found the cache and signed for both of us.FINALLY, and with humble apologies for being so late, I am catching up on my logging.Day 4 of The North Islanders in Canterbury tour with Liss Crew. We are targeting specific caches -oldies, and puzzles. Of course, there will be days of laughter.During our time here, all found caches were signed as NZL, regardless of whether either of us has found it previously, or with individual names for Challenge Caches according to whomever was claiming the find.Kia ora rawa atu for the cache shannonp1.
I'm from Paihia/Whangarei and I'm down in the South Island for 6 days with NZ_B on a geocaching trip.I had a few goals for the trip and I was very pleased to achieve them all *50 or 60 puzzles for my diamond badge on project gc*40 caches to get to my 6000th find*some South Island minutes for a challenge*but mostly a clean out of my ever growing solved puzzle list.Monday we collected the windmill geoart on our way to Oamaru. Tuesday the focus was solved A2O puzzles, the sunflowers and other solved puzzles. Wednesday we headed back to Christchurch collecting challenges and more solved puzzles. Todays focus is the Smile series around Lake Ellesmere. With our target achived for the day we moved on to get some trads in the area before heading back to town for some more puzzles. We decided to grab a few trads again as our daily total was nearing 50. We didn't quite make the 50 but got close on 47. It was my buddy who found the sign and the cache here as I was searching further along. Thanks for your cache
This also took me a little while. Widen the search & spotted something yellow. Hmm & yay. TFTC:-)
On a roadtrip down to Dunedin, then Cromwell. Grabbed on the way through.
TFTC shannonp1, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 1 find(s) of 1 today, making this find #4271

Another month, another challenge. I'm keen to see how many days I can manage to get out and find caches this month. This is Day 4. I had some errands to run in Rolleston this morning so stopped off to find a couple of caches on the way. This was the first cache I came to. I had to broaden my search from where my phone GPS took me and I eventually found the cache about 20m away. TFTC, Biggles.

We had spotted a few other North Islanders make a personal 24hr find record so we took note of the general caches found and made a plan to try our luck, our previous best was 172, our aim was "more than Yeti", check out GC6PRMW once we have logged them all to see how we did...
For a minute I thought this was Michael Jones, who went to Mrs Geckoh's sisters first wedding... but no, its Ian.
Finally located the hint item and the cache soon appeared soon after.

Out for the day getting a few caches and came past for this one. All good here. Passed a nice bakery on the way so went back for some lunch. Thanks for this cache shannonp1.
Like the previous DNF log I couldn’t see the sign but reading a few more logs I realised I wasn’t quite in the right spot. Spied the sign 10m away and soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks for the cache, shannonp1

Nearly drove past and had to reverse a little. Surprised at how fast the cars zoom past. Log damp. Found with Spoonz2
We missed the warning sign, so the reason for the hint escaped us, but found the cache anyway. Thanks for placing this. Found with Debsnz.
It did not take too long to spot the warning sign deep in the trees. We replaced the plastic bag, as it was holed and the log damp. TFTC!
Woohoo! Found it .
Log roll is a tad wet but the cache is otherwise in good condition.

Can you please double-check it's still there. Also do we need to climb over the fence
Found a danger sign but nowhere to hide, maybe there's another danger sign in the vicinity?
Need some night caches so looking for Smurfs. This is number 31. Last of the night.
Up from down south caching around Rolleston. Eyes on the Smurf and Eclipse Series plus any extras around the vicinity. More smilies in Rolleston

Back to old Rolly for some work. Surprised that there are literally no new caches round here since I cleaned this place up a year and half ago.
But this one was a DNF that needed avenging.
And I did it, 2 years later.
Hint would be "Jneavat" instead of "Qnatre" though.
Kia ora! Paldies!

It took a couple of looks to approach this one but then we went for it and were soon rewarded. Thanks!
Came to visit Ian Jones. Left our calling card here. Cheers .
Its a long weekend in Christchurch, with The Seagnoid, Zara and Toby, and Star Gazing on the radar. Unfortunately clouds put paid to seeing stars but great event meeting up with the locals. Enjoyed visiting Halswell Quarry, Lincoln, Port Hills and running around after the Smurf family. Cool, fine days and NO rain made for an awesome weekend. Will be back again soon.

Now Ian Jones is a name I recognise! But if you mentioned him I would not recognise the name as an All Black.
Came down on Thursday night with Taybeedragon for a three day geocaching trip and to collect a rare cache type - so rare that this will be the first ever for me - a 10-Year Celebration Event cache (now rejigged as Community Celebration Events). But that, with some adventure labs and Halswell Quarry, was a couple of days ago. Yesterday we smurfed a bunch of caches, and today we are off to check out Lincoln (and another adventure lab) then head home at about lunch time.

**Found on our February - March tour around the South Island. Logging back home in Auckland in Lockdown isolation**
After washout weather 4 years ago on the 29th February we have been keen to greatly increase our Leap Day Finds tally in 2020. To that end we made sure we were in Canterbury ready for some quick puzzle trails this morning, and determined to cache all day. We made short work of the Smurfs, then moved on towards Rollerston to find a few All Blacks and Crusaders. Didn't find Ian Jones in the first place we looked, but then spied somewhere else he might be. TFTC

Took a little thinking over. But a previous cacher was right. It isn't the first danger you see. Once we looked a little deeper the cache was soon in hand and as we were well hidden from the road we could search with ease and take time to write our logs.
Phew that took some thinking..... Look for more than 1 danger and dive deep.... You'll be hidden from the road to fill in the log
Container , logbook ... Going next...

28 caches to go for the Mystery at the Museum promotion and only one afternoon to do it!
Finished work at 2.15pm and made my way to Tai Tapu via the airport, Rolleston, Lincoln, and Springston.
I'll apologise now for the cut and paste logs - I didn't finish until 6.30pm, indent remember the actual order I did them, and it's now a day later and I'm only just starting to log them!
Here's hoping the late logs still count.
Thanks to all the COs, it's good to finally find some of the puzzle caches I solved a few years ago, and also to avenge a prior DNF.

Was in the area for work and decided to locate a few favourites. Thanks for the effort that goes into placing and maintaining a cache.
Found today with Injeanious (some logs signed as Team JeJe). We were out today getting some caches for the Mystery at the Museum. It was a great day for a drive out this way and we had some great views of the snow covered alps in places. TFTC!
Walked up to the first sign of danger, ruled that out and spotted the second warning sign. Tftc from team Jeje

Hmmmmmm, no DANGER around here. Well, I found one Danger but no cache there and it was about 20m from GZ.

I always thought Ian Jones was a legend player, and seemed a genuinely nice bloke too so cheers for making the tribute cache. Nice quick find with the hint. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. BJ25.
22 February 2017 18:45 This cache looks like it is danger of becoming inaccessible with the encroaching works. TFTC shannonp1
Found on an expedition to Rolleston with StreetWalker, with the main objective of finding all the WPs of the mighty Rolleston Pump Station Trail, plus finding any other caches that were in the vicinity.
The hedge looked a bit daunting, but I followed by GPSr while SW followed his, and mine took me straight to the cache, which was a quick find. TFTC.

#13152. This road has lots of room for widening (which makes for a very wide grassy strip to park on). Quick find by Troodles. TFTC.
In the industrial area now so time for the Hi viz and fit right in quick find tftc
Nice quick find, road surprisingly busy!! Had to have the phone stuck to the ear to "explain" why I was wandering there! TFTC
A quick caching trip from Ashburton to rolleston and up towards Darfield and then back down to home again to pick the kids up from school. First one for the day and a quick easy find great start to the day. nice series grabbed a couple of these today on my way. TFTC
Out with the little man today - I've been out of the country for work for the past couple of months. Today we decided to catch up on some father son time and this cache was our first stop. The little joker doesn't know who IJ is, but such a superb gentleman played needs to have his legacy passed on to the younger generation too.
WE signed this one on 09 May 2016 15:29:00

Any easy find. Bumped into him in Wellington the other day. He still looked fit enough to play. TFTC
Our second find on our Easter trip to ChCh. We couldnt find the original (it was missing at the time) so now we were happy to finish our Rugby set. Thanks for the cache
After a day of smurf hunting in hot weather, this was my last cache for the day - ice cream needed. Horse in paddock says hello
not a rugby specialist. was cheering for the AB during worldcup.. well, guess it helped

Went out for a bit of New Years Day caching with mum - goot timing for it, as most people were still in bed sleeping!!
Some simple finds, some took a bit longer.
Signed all the logs as TP - for Team Polak - to save time, get more caching in, and save the lives of our pens too!!!

A dot day and work. So I went into work early and found one. Then I went for a walk at lunchtime as I was working close by. Finally I found this one. A great series, thanks. I finally completed it today. Now I have found three caches on the 17 of September.
On the way to the airport to fly home after working in the local area. I had a bit of time so took a longer trip home to grab a few caches.
Initial searched wrong place. Checked the hint. Then was able to find the cache and sign the log relatively quickly!
