25 Nov 2024 9:37am. The weather was Overcast Clouds 19C 78% 4 m/s . Find #9,079 for me. Found with PamJ during our stay in Millicent. We Victorians were barred from attending the Mega during the Covid period, so this is a catchup visit to Millicent and the surrounding area. Magnificent location, not a micro,, all good so gets a fav point. Thanks Freddo for your contribution to the game. *Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Found with gmj3191. Had to be careful not to stand on adjacent vegetation. Wonderful views and so glad we came here.
Tftc. This was a great hide, it took me a bit to figure it out but in the end I had a rocking good time when it was found.
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in Millicent for a few days to grab some finds placed for the ill fated Mega 2020. There have been some newer caches and puzzles collected too. Found at 259 & 781. Thanks for the hide. LNCU
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We are staying at Millicent and caching in Southend, enjoying the rough coastal scenery. Thanks for the cache found 4-5m off coords. ?? LNCU
Took a few minutes with myself and two mini geos . A tricky find in a beautiful place. We do like it thanks for rocking the casbar !
Love a good rock garden. How good is this coastline even on a mildly windy day!Tftc
Found in the thrid place i looked. Nice location. fav point for location. I personally don't like My Little Ponies in human form, i think The My Little Ponies should stay in pony form, the mini maker perfers them in pony form too. I must have found the cache between waves on muggles.Found with Mogni. I think this is the most changed trip in the planning stage that i have ever been on. The " original trip " was supposed to start on the 31st of dec but at the start of December life changed and the trip was now starting on the 26th of December and all accommodation that had booked cancelled and now see what else is free on the earlier dates. A major readjust of plans and got 1/2 the trip booked before the next curve ball came in to alter the plans again. More adjusting the plans again and i realized i could host 2 CITO's in 2 different LGA's in Victoria. What we do to qualify for Victorian challenge caches. Also i got my 20, 000 cache over in Victoria in this trip. It was decided in the end that the 4x4 was going to be the vehicle for this trip that way we could go and target all the caches that you never get, the ones down the sandy/rocky/dirt and forestry roads/tracks. We left Adelaide and headed to Casterton for a couple of days, then to Budj Bim National Park ( and saw 5 koalas in the camp ground high up in the trees ), then over Heywood, a night in Mount Gambier plus there attended the 3rd CITO of the trip before sending a few nights in Millicent and then finally home. Over 250 caches found plus 86 lab caches. Mogni also got her 11th D/T loop. I also got 3 more Victorian LGA's up to 20 finds minimum for another Victorian challenge cache. If the cache was broken/eaten/smashed it was replaced with a new container and if the log sheet was wet it was replaced and if the log was full or almost full extra log sheets were added to the cache.
TFTC! 31 December 2023 4:19:20pm 6994This morning is day 2 of Millicent. Picked up some target caches for our DT loop, plus high favourites. Completed the crayfish! Enjoyed finding this cache, took a little bit but eventually made the find. The views are amazing!
Love a rainbow, little ponies are great too. Coords are great so cache was found easily enough. Good really as there's a few options but one spot looked very cache like. With the cache found, I went back to the car to just sit and watch the waves. So peaceful here away from life. TFTC, it's a nice location.
After checking out a couple of casbah I managed to find this cache and sign the log which is in good condition. It is a relatively calm though cold day today and it is great to claim another cache while doing the AL. TFTC Freddo
A week away exploring the area with 2beez. A lovely spot even on a windy day.
Thanks Freddo for placing for all to enjoy.
Thanks Freddo for placing for all to enjoy.
Found during a trip to the SE with Team Waldron targeting Kingston, Robe, Beachport and Southend, with a few other cache finds along the way. Thanks for the cache Freddo!
Beautiful views. Not enough time to search. Want to do more sightseeing. Maybe next time.
TFTC 6 sets of eyes looking and it took us a while! Hubby is keen to get on the beach
A quick get away down south with the usual crew Mattycat and PerfectDI and Jack, another beautiful day to be out exploring this neck of the woods. Rocks, rocks and more rocks eventually we found the right collection that yielded the cache, all in great condition

Oh no, I hate these geocaching landscapes, particularly when the cache might be a rock itself.
It’s up to future finders to determine if that’s the case.
Took a while to find. Had to make use of geo daughters eyes.
We found it at
S 37 34.251
E 140 06.784
Great view!

Looked low and lower. Don’t understand the hint. May try again later. Nice location though.
Second attempt 12 months later and thanks to the geokid the cache is found and logged. Coordinates are 5 meters from GZ. TFTC
Finally found this cache with the help of my brother, after last year, wicksy1770 and I were trying to find it for an hour
I was out and about for some post Mega wind down time. After heading to Dimboola for the event weekend I jumped on the end of a convoy to Millicent. Today was a more relaxed day of finds with the group splitting and adventuring all over the place at times.
We toured the countryside enjoying the adventure. These were generally logged in individual names, unless space was an issue and it was VVR (Vic Vapor Rubs). The group today included Team Crackers, Papi4506, GeoTurtle37, micaparamedic, chooknchunk, Goodlook and myself.
It took a few of us searching to find this one. With a slightly wider search radius papi4506 came up with the goods here.
Thanks Freddo for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to mindful

Nice
Out and about across several days with a fun caching crew that consisted of ChooknChunk, Team Crackers, micaparamedic, RoamingHowie, Papi4506, and GeoTurtle37.
The laughter, frivolity, cheeky comments, deep and meaningful conversations, drinking, eating, caching, dust, long grass, the spectacular Andrew (RoamingHowie also known as the human ladder) taking one or two or three for the team (geocaching certainly got him wet) , then there was Rob (Papi), his climbing skills and agility was second to none - amazing!! [^], and what Jo could do with a pole is impressive! [:X]
Life has been a little challenging lately (as it has been for many), but this geocaching trip instantly injected some nature, connection with others and different scenery into the mix (with the silliness and laughter) - just what the soul needed.
Thank you to those who placed the caches and then a special thanks to those who maintain the caches that we found. [:X]

The coast is beautifully rugged along here as it the area we needed to search in. There were a number of us looking and it is only after spreading out a little more, that we made the find. Thanks for bringing us here with the placement of this cache.
The weather was being a little kinder to us today so we managed to have a great day exploring and finding caches. This is a lovely rugged section of the coast. After taking in the views, we all set about searching for the cache which did take us a little while. Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.
After not being able to attend the GV2020 Mega, Chook finally made it here in Millicent with her fellow Vics: The Tritonz, Papi4506, Geoturtle37, Team Crackers, micaparamedic, Roaming Howie and our honorary Vic GoodLook.
Today was Day 3 of our trip and the targets were Lake McIntyre, Southend and Beachport.
Absolutely loving this area. It helps that the weather was perfect too. TFTC Freddo.

On a fine day ventured out and found this cache. What a great part of Australia and so well maintained with paths and seats. Left a golf tee and took a marble. Tftc
In the Millicent area for a few days, we are signing the logs as Vic1. Cracking views. Thanks for placing the cache Freddo.
Today was day 3 of a Millicent blitz with McLookers, Alansee, BeckNmonts, Maccamob and Rabbitto, all signed as Vic1.
My thanks to Freddo for the cache.
My thanks to Freddo for the cache.
Found with a team consisting of BecknMonts, McLookers, Maccamob, Rabbitto, and Muzza. This was our third day in the area and was windy and cold again. We found fewer caches today but that is caching. Many thanks to the CO's for the placements.
We found this cache today on our Millicent Meander - Day 3 in company of Maccamob, BecknMonts, McLookers, Alansee, and Muzza. Second port of call is Southend. We signed the group as Vic1. Thanks from D & HA B-A
Over in SA again with a cut down group of geocaches compared to last time. We felt it was time this group of Victorians found some Millicent caches, as we were banned from the mega! We are signing the logs as Vic1. Thanks for the sometimes challenging caches Freddo!
Found by Mary and David, in company with McLookers, beckNmonts, Alansee, muzza, and Rabbitto (signing as VIC1), at at 12:55. Day 3 of our trip, planned to tackle the many caches around Millicent, as we'd been locked down last year and unable to attend GV2020. Our thanks to Freddo.

No one around on this quiet Monday before the Easter holiday-makers roll in!
We have just enjoyed a month in Central Australia, and will be home by Easter
Hopefully husband had luck fishing on the jetty while I was geocaching

My first visit to Southend but time poor so just 7 caches attempted.
This was one of them.
A short stroll over sharp rocky terrain and the prize was mine.
Thanks freddo

Boo hoo, too hard for me today. GPS was all over the place and never really sure of GZ.
We have been travelling around this great country, calling into see many different places,
now is a quick chance on the computer to catch up with logs and to put some smileys on the map for where we have been.
Thanks to all the COs for some great finds.

Our last find today before heading back to camp. We have been exploring the Millicent area and beyond as the GeoVenture2020 long weekend begins. Such a beautiful and interesting coastline here. TFTC
A great little spot on the Wild coast
Meandering up the Western Australia coast, the Northern Territory, and South Australia, we have finally arrived down south of SA.
Down the Highway and byways, tracks and trails, the geological, historical, the fun geocaches, traveling this great country through the eyes of a geocacher has lead us to some fantastic outlooks.
Thanks to all the COs for placing these Geocaches, it makes the Adventure more interesting.
We found your cache container, a nice quick find, and with signing duties done and dusted we replaced it as found.

Today was a trip to Southend with a cache or two thrown in for good measure! This took me ages as the rest of them disappeared to the beach! Amazing beach though. Was excited to find this. Many thanks for the cache.
Day 2 of a two week holiday to SA for the Easter school holidays.
We drove down to Southend/Beachport this morning from our accommodation at Mt Gambier.
Southend/Beachport are two of our favourite places in Australia - but we have mostly visited BC - before caching.
Today we thought we would grab a few in the Southend. Eldest boy Luke stayed in the car whilst we went for a walk. Boy did he miss out on some stunning scenery. We were here back in Jan though and he did see it then.
No holiday last year, thanks to Covid and very few outings and almost no caching as well .. but this year two holidays to SA in the space of 4 months! We count ourselves as very lucky.
I had actually quickly tried this one back in Jan, by myself - I didn't DNF it though as I had only a quick look. Today with 4 of plowfive five on the job, we had it found within a few minutes. Luckily we had sharp eyed middle child on the job. To be honest , if he had stayed in the car with his brother it would have been a DNF this time!
Last time we were here it was at low tide, today it is high tide and it is very different.
Last time we saw many Rays resting on the sand floor near the shore. I think I prefer the low tide here.
Thanks for the cache Freddo

Took an evening walk to this spot and found the cache with fluffymaxi and JayG10. Fluffymaxi made the find. Log stamped with the GeckoJ stamp on behalf of the team (we didn’t bring another writing tool for the other players to log).

The sunset was improving the longer we stayed but we couldn’t watch it disappear completely as we didn’t want to walk back in the dark.

Found this with my wonderful long suffering muggle husband. Climbed over the rocks and found the cache about 6m from my GZ. Magnificent views. TFTC TNLNSL Thanks Freddo for bringing us here.
I made an early start to try and make the most of the day before the rains.
I targeted Southend this morning. My first time to this little sea side town so a few geocaches waiting to be found.
Amazing views. A really impressive walk around the coast. Pretty windy today.
Lots of rocks....but noticed a couple suspiciously placed rocks which revealed the cache. Could have been a long search but thankfully it was relatively brief in the light drizzle.
Thanks for the cache Freddo.

Down in Millicent for the "Used 2B a Geoventure" celebration weekend.
Highlight of course was the mini mega gathering hosted by the longest serving mega committee (thanks for all your hard work guys and gals)
( Hopefully we'll be back for the big one when it's able to go ahead )
Teamed up with Sebastbat, and JEM.
Rocking this rainbow.. Excellent hint. Couldn't have found it without it

Stay safe out there, caches and their hidey holes can be dirty!
wash your hands, wipe down your cache gear,
sanitise, exercise, even wear a mask if hayfever season gets to you and
cache the countryside safely distanced at least a roo or an adult brown snake's length apart ! ! !
Have fun ! ! !

Today JJ52 and I set out from Millicent together to find all the caches around south end and beachport, we thought it would take all day but we were done by lunch time so we headed over to kangaroo inn to find all the caches in the area before attending my event back in town. Almost 80 finds for the day.

The great Southeast Saunter with Anymules down to the Millicent area to find caches associated with the postponed GV2020 mega. But with leave organized and accommodation booked the caching trip was not postponed! [^]
Day 2: Today we decided to head westward taking in Rendelsham, then through Canunda National Park to Southend. Then it was east via some back roads and lanes to the Princes Highway, then back towards our Millicent base as once again darkness overtook us and it was time to call it a day. All up about 50 finds, 1 DNF and 3 non attempted as it was way to windy to be high up some of the trees.
After about five minutes of searching without success, we had a look at the hint. [^] Oh great, so useful - gee thanks Freddo. May as well say "Use the Force" [:o)] Utilizing the wonderful hint we actually found the cache a short time later. Go figure.
***Thanks Freddo for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Day 2 of our long weekend staying in Millicent.
Today's plan was to knock of the GV geoart and then head to South End for an event, cache around there and then head to Beachport with the main goal to cross to Penguin Island.
The morning was go, go, go and afterwards was just cruise, cruise, cruise.
The coast is certainly a bit special and we saw some beautiful views, sea life and coastline.
Im looking forward to coming back for Easter.

The long weekend planned to cache around Millicent with sharkiefan.
Day 2 and todays plan was to hit the main GV2020 trail, go to Southend then onto Beachport.
Tentatively I took this track in the ute. I know there a lot of sand around and I've only got a 2WD. Thankfully down to the psrk it was a good gravel track.
Then it was a short walk up the rocks to GZ and a quick find.
From GZ it was another cool view over the ocean.

We travelled across to Millicent for a long weekend to try and collect a few of the puzzles before the Mega crowds hit town. We hired an AirBnB with Robmc and Betty Boo and managed a pretty good haul for the weekend.
Today we headed from Carpenter's Rocks to Southend for the day. We were occasionally interrupted by sleety rain but not for long. Southend turned on the wind and the sun for us.
Thanks for contributing to a fun day Freddo

Today was a trip through Tantanoola, with lunch in Millicent, and the afternoon at Southend.
A nice collection of caches in very changeable weather.
No little ponies today!
A lovely area to search around.
Not so many rainbows today either. (lots of rock though!)
Thanks, Robmc.

No little ponies today!
A lovely area to search around.
Not so many rainbows today either. (lots of rock though!)
Thanks, Robmc.
