We did the night cache in this area years ago when we came down for a big event so it was good to see it in the light of day. Here we are passing through town again on our way to another big event in Dunedin, with a bit of time to spare, it was decided to come and have a look for these caches.Another quick easy find. I was enjoying this track, lots of choices, definitely coming back to explore further one day. Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley.
Nice find, walking around finding this series, #3 of today TFTC Signed Log
I was last here in 2021 but only found #1 so as part of my turn Oamaru mission today it was time to (hopefully) find the remaining Reservoir caches. What a gorgeous sunny Spring day and my walk around was just lovely. Fresh air, sunshine and caching = the perfect combination.
A few of these were certainly well hidden but perseverance certainly paid off...expecially this one. Log book tatty but dry. Last one needed now for the final yay TFTC

Spending a few days in the South around Easter. Found ourselves in Oarmaru, so what better than to go caching. Enjoyed this nice walk through the reservoir reserve.

Gps had a wobbly so was going around in circles. Trying to get over the water. Finally found the way.
So pleased there was a hint for all of these caches. With the ground being covered in a thick mat of pine needles I am sure there are several I never would have found. My GPS landed me at the actual spot every time.
The mountain bike club from Timaru Girls High were just finishing when I arrived. They were presented with a major decision by their Teacher - what to do for lunch!

Was up in Oamaru to get some caches and called in to pickup coops64 and off we went. Was very damp under foot and got wet feet really quickly. This was an easy find and off to the next one TFTC
Queens birthday weekend - I first tried looking for this cache for my first ever find back a couple of years ago. I had no luck and my sister I was with at the time thought I was insane looking for so long. So today I was armed with one of my best friends. Found pretty fast this time round. TFTC
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on day 2 of our 4 day trip to Oamaru and environs. Today we are planning on finding some caches around the gardens as well as walking the Reservoir tracks.
As SW was up the bank at #2, he took the high road while I continued on the low road, and I reached GZ first, but my GPSr took me to the wrong hint object and while I was searching there, SW went to the correct spot and made the find. TFTC.

Great walk around here... adding to my 12km walk this morning, thanks to this track, i finished the day with 17km. Log was damp though.
The aim this afternoon was to ride the MTB tracks around the reservoir and hopefully get all the details for the bonus cache. This was the last cache found whilst riding the MTB tracks. The logbook was found to be well sodden - it could do with being replaced in a dry baggie. TFTC.
Geofest Oamaru is over but our (The Seagnoid, Toby, Zara & I) epic adventure continues - Day 4 Danseys Pass signed off. Its early evening and the night cache in Oamaru is next on the radar, but still a bit early.
Time to explore this reserve. Another one snagged - and whats this - a number?? OK we need these so will have to return to the other 2 later to snag them. Bummer!! Cheers

Here to do the night cache, but it is not night yet, so Taybeedragon and I are filling in time walking the reservoir tracks. And it was this cache that the dragon noticed there was a code inside. I had forgotten all about them. We got he code for the rest, grabbed the code for #1 on the way back and got #2 and the final a few days later. Really enjoying this walk!
Decided on a spot of night caching when things went a little stray, so we continued on the trails around this reserve....we bumped into another couple of cachers trying to do the same, but they were a bit ahead of us.....
Came across this one so signed in as SEAC 17 to save log book space.

I was down in Otago for the long weekend to attend the Oamaru Geofest. This morning I teamed up with fellow West Auckland cachers Jag50, Aiden29 and Bertie Blowfish. We headed around the Reservoir Track to do this series, finding each cache in the series, and noting down the numbers for the bonus cache. It was a nice little series and good walk in the forest with lots of birds singing in the trees. TFTC!
Trying to attempt the night cache in the reserve but got completely lost and ended up walking around the reserve and decided to attempt the outer reserve caches which we had more success with with.
Signed as Team SEAC 17
We did reattempt the night cache and eventually using a bit of thought we had success there to!!

Found with Jag50, Aiden29 & Vistra - in town for the Labour Weekend Geofest.
This one was definitely a quick find

Down in Oamaru for the Geofest with Aiden29 and Bertie Blowfish. Had also teamed up with Vistra on this morning and we set about doing a very nice walk and caching. A further than out of the away walk to get here and we started to see others on these trails especially mountain bikes.
Down in Oamaru for the Geofest, and decided to head out and complete the Reservoir series with Jag50, Vistra and Bertie Blowfish. We fully expected more people to be taking advantage of the gorgeous day to come out here, but only passed one cyclist and the same runner twice
Thanks looks a good place to come mountain biking. Are just walking and running today.
With NZ Bozzy.
TFTC. Always enjoy a walk and these caches make it very worthwhile. Up here for the geofeast.

Enjoying being about and about in the fresh air for a walk. The numbers of these caches leading us along the tracks in a loop. TFTC # 11,074
A quick find on a beautiful sunny day. Found while on a mountain biking day trip. TFTC!
This was a nice quick find. Now to make the calculations and go for the puzzle cache.
A nice area to go for a walk. I had he bike on the back of the car but felt like a walk today. Quick find, cheers.
A few showers off and on today as we head back up home to Christchurch.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Success again, yee ha! The oldest one got her hands on it while the next one down led the way with the GPS, they were having a great time. Cheers
A nice walk on a beautiful morning. Unfortunately we could not find one of them, so therefore the bonus could not be found. But we will be back. TFTC
Went for a walk around the reservoir late this afternoon and managed to make a clean sweep of the caches. It took a bit longer than it should have for me to find this one. Signed log, TFTC
A quick easy find of the cache with the replacement log, but there was no code for the bonus cache in it. TFTC
Another great find while slowly heading to the Christchurch Mega.
Thanks for adding to the fun of my trip!
Enjoyed the walk around the reservoir and some nice easy finds. Log wet on this one.

There was some debate as to whether we backtrack and follow the trail to the next one or take the more direct route and follow the fence - needless to say we chose the wrong way Found with Woody104 and debsnz
Felt like a wander in the sun this afternoon before it got too cold. Great excuse to grab a cache. TFTC
EASY FIND THERE WAS WATER IN THE CONTAINER BUT THE LOG IS DRY.
NICE WALK AROUND THE RESERVOIR.

Had not done many caches recently and decided I had had this TB a bit long so have placed it in one of our own caches while out with cubs, hopefully it can continue its travels.
The last of this great series over this side, the water looked quite inviting as the day warmed up.
Thanks
