Cute little geocache#408 for us!

13-Oct-24
Finally it was time to leave work, Narrabri and cotton fields behind and go for adventures again. This time we packed our belongings in to the car and tent on the roof is going to be our home for the next few weeks.First we visited some friends in Moree and after camping by the river we continued our journey towards Brisbane. A quick stop here also visiting Gnome. Thank you for the cache!

13-Oct-24
Finished working in Narrabri and now happy to travel again! On the way to Brisbane area slowly. TFTC!

You are the reason we love caching

29-Aug-24
Weve come to Stanthorpe for 2 nights in our van to hopefully finish getting enough caches to earn the current souvenirs. We went to a winery for our daughter in law this afternoon when we arrived and then got a few caches on our way back. These were well worth the detour. Thanks wingaap and pajamateam for the placement and maintenance of these caches.

13-Aug-24
Love this cache always inspired by your caches Wingaap.

28-Jul-24
Very cool!. Love the home, but the gnome was out. Probably still at the pub. Not sure why there was two current logs, but better than none I guess. Thanks again wingaap for your creative effort.

A favourite from us for a great container. We headed out of town today with the Elementary Series and a group of high favourited trads in our sights along with any other caches we might pass by. We weren't disappointed on both fronts. It was a cold day with light winds so looked warmer than it actually was. We were pleased to be in and out of the car so the cold didn't really get to us. There were showers as we returned into town, and then the sun came out brightly. Melbourne weather!!Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache pajamateam.**SKI Pair****

Visiting Stanthorpe for a few days. The winery I wanted to go to isn't open yet and I saw these ones with so many likes so had to come investigate. Beautiful work.

19-Feb-24
We were out having a drive around when I read a message from a some friends (ILTW) to let us know about this series of caches they happened across this morning. We were only 5km away so it was a pleasant detour . TFTC - love it

My friend and I had been in Stanthorpe for a short break this week; today was our last day. I had wanted to do this little trail for a while so with him driving and me navigating we made short work of them today. The caches did not disappoint and I gave a few favourite points away.An easy favourite here, how gorgeous is Gnome's Home? If it were big enough I'd move in.Tftc!

We had the opportunity to spend Easter in Stanthorpe so took advantage of the days off to find some caches while we were here. We thought this was a gnome home but it’s apparently now a Huntsman home and he wasn’t very pleased with us interrupting his sleep today. Mr DisSister got quite the surprise when he picked up the logbook container! Another fabulous creation. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

09-Apr-23
Quick grab here, speed from the road, thanks

I spotted the cache from the car went up to it and knocked on the door to see if anyone was , as I opened it and went to grab the cache someone was home, a massive spider was Gaurding the cache he did a spider pounce and went back in. After using a stick to flick the cache out the spider (I think it was a huntsman I didn’t quite see it properly) ran away.

Just a little notice if he is home to be careful.

This weekend, an overnighter at Girraween National Park was planned with the aim to tackle Mount Norman. An early start on Saturday had me attend Warwick parkrun and visit Warwick, Leslie Dam, Stanthorpe, and then Girraweeen to walk to Underground Creek. On Sunday, it was a walk/hike through Girraween's south vicinity visiting Mount Norman, Castle Rock, and Turtle Rock, before venturing across the NSW border, and then heading northwards via Ballandean and Stanthorpe, detouring past the *Elementary* series and *Stan's Apple* series.

Today, I joined Beardman75, Davinells, and wayn0, and we spent the morning with a hike in the southern vicinity of Girraween National Park. A tough expedition to Mount Norman's geocache, and after taking a breather with the group and then saying farewell, I continued north via Castle Rock, The Sphinx, and Turtle Rock, thanking the car shuffle for only making my journey a one-way walk. It was then a southern drive towards Tenterfield for a few geocaches, before proceeding back north targeting geocaches with high Favourite Points, in particular the cluster around Fletcher. It was then a detour towards the *Elementary* series, and lastly, I took a few more stops west of Stanthorpe finding a few more of *Stan's Apple* geoart, and completing the [Stanthorpe Art and History](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/99df815e-d7c7-4bde-8575-b2c5ff71d8cc) Adventure Lab, before fatigue and daylight got the better of me, and I proceeded home.

This geocache had been on my priority/target list given the high Favourite Points (FPs), with it having a gigantic (!!) 140 FPs as of the time of my visit.
I followed my GPS into the dense bush, and I must have been checking the wrong area initially, and then headed slightly north to find the gnome home staring back at me. I really loved this former CO construction, as it was so beautifully decorated! The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and a Favourite Point from me for a cache that will live on in my memory. Thanks wingaap for the cache placement, and pajamateam for its ongoing maintenance.

Visiting from Coffs Harbour and a was recommended to try this series and now I can see why. Very interesting caches.

For this one I must have parked in exactly the right spot because as soon as I turned to get out of the car I spotted it.

20th Wedding Anniversary Geocaching️

John4068 told me I can only find one cache today so I’d better pick the best one.

So, of course, I chose one of the Wingaap caches - TFTC. Your caches are always so creative - so it is unsurprising they get so many favourite points. If only I was so talented!

And after seeing this one, John4068 relented and we deferred our cheese factory visit in order to find 7 caches in total + 3 yesterday! Yay!

Almost walked past this one, rattle alerted me to its location. TFTC

A lovely home. No wonder your caches got so many fav points!

Awesome !

We are on our way back home. We went to QOGM 2022 in Charleville first, then decided to go on a camping trip in NSW for a change and visited also Canberra.

Now we stay a couple of days in Stanthorpe.

Spent a lovely weekend on the Granite Belt with Sausage3. While our husbands had a nana nap, we spent the afternoon geocaching, mostly avoiding the rain. Great to find a trail of Wingaap caches out here and no one else about. So cute - definitely a fp.

After a very early start to the day yes 4 am on the second coldest day in the year. Willis007 and I left Brisbane and headed to Stanthorpe and Girraween for a walk and catchup with a few other crazy people. It got to -4 degrees at one point of the journey but that did not stop the enthusiasm of the group.
We finished our big trail walks and started to collect caches around the area. We headed south to a particular challenge cache for Willis007 and then we headed north back towards town, collecting more caches, timing it to finish before our dinner event at 5.30pm.

We bumped into Peppa and Pirate linda and suggested we cache together for a while. We started down this road and found a little trail of wingaap caches. This trail did not let us down and in true fashion a surprise at each cache. I have just giving a bunch of favourite points to this run of caches, well done. It was a great bonus to an already fun day. Thank you and it was good to see these still here after 10 years.

09-Jul-22
A great day out in Girraween National Park with chamad, Peppa, Pirate Linda and Beardman75. The main focus was to visit some of the waypoints for the earthcache in the area, and to attend the event in the evening.
Of course, there are always plenty of caches to visit while in the area, we made sure we made the most of the beautiful day.
I must say I was very surprised to see a trail of Wingy caches, they are always so wonderfully thought out and put together.
A quick find at gz, thanks wingaap for bringing me here. Giving this beautiful country home an FP

09-Jul-22
Another find on Peppa and PirateLinda's Brisbane to Stanthorpe Jaunt.
Found with Willis007 and chamad.

09-Jul-22
PirateLinda and I have come down for Beardman75’s Catch-up in Stanthorpe event tonight… Apparently people come here in the middle of winter… for fun… Being our only full day in town, it was all about Girraween…

Having conquered Girraween, or at least some of it, a group of us are making our way back towards Stanthorpe…

Found with PirateLinda, Willis007, and chamad…

It was such a pleasant surprise to find a wingaap trail here… a really great addition to what has already been a wonderful day…

A really good cache…

Tftc…

Great hide

07-Nov-21
I did a maintenance check on the 10 caches I adopted from Wingaap. I could not let these be archived along these two roads. Just knock on the door of this one and you will find two mint tins with logs so plenty of space for everyone to enjoy.

Gnome's Country Home was transferred from wingaap to user pajamateam

Very sweet little hide. So pleased to see all these special container types 1)not getting muggled and 2)in great condition. I can just see a little robin trying to set up home in this, but a grumpy gnome would shake its fist and tell it to find somewhere else ️ TFTC

21-Sep-21
Just wow. This is why we love wingaap caches. I will add a favourite. Thanks for the joy

10-Jul-21
After 10 years on the road, we have finally decided to settle and put some roots down. Warwick is our chosen town. While we wait impatiently for settlement, we sit out time in our caravan, or go shopping for furniture, or go caching! Settlement has been delayed by a few days, so we went for a drive today down to Wallangarra and back. Started picking up caches around Ballandean.

There was gnome body gnome today, we signed and returned the cache to the Country Home.

04-Jul-21
Wowza what a cool hide

02-Jun-21
I was impressed by the hide, nicely crafted. Had a bit of an argument with my jumping GPS, before spotting my target through some trees. What a relief. TFTC.

07-May-21
Wow! That’s a beautifully made cache! We actually found two containers here holding logbooks so we signed both. Then we left them exactly as we found them.

Thanks wingaap.

I was blessed enough to spend the weekend away, caching and camping in Texas, Stanthorpe, Girraween and Toowoomba. The weather and company were perfect. Not so the loud and obnoxious teenagers camping next door! That aside, it was a fabulous weekend.

We were finished in Stanthorpe, and heading towards Girraween, and I decided to take a drive down Wingaap lane. Sadly, I don't have enough FPs for Wingaap lane to be truly honoured. This cache embodies everything I love about geocaching - a great location, great company, great creativity, and great implementation. Wingaap, you never cease to amaze me - thank you once again for a great cache. I wish I had some FPs left.

It’s some years since I beadled around the Stanthorpe region and the promise of a temperate climate and low humidity drew me here. Lots of caches, cheese, jam, wineries, truffles, happy hour, awesome scenery, you get the picture Even managed to convert a muggle to our evil ways Lots of fun!

What a beauty! We signed both

TFTC Dropping a FAVE point here.

Queensland border closures put an end to a Bromance extended hiking adventure in Oxley Rivers National Park in NSW. Still needing a break, a Bromance plus weekend trip to Stanthorpe with Seffnjarah, JeznDez, Swellerfungus and Lady Sim was organised

SeffnJarah, Deznjez and I got an early start today and planned to focus on collecting rare and unloved caches today, After a big day, we checked into our cosy accommodation, got a fire going and then headed back out to collect the caches along this road.

Another fantastic creation. Thanks Wingaap.

After a long anticipated 4 day hike in NSW, that was originally planned for this week, had to be abandoned because of the border closures, Crookedpete, JezNDez and I rearranged the week to start with a hike along the Stretcher Track and end with an extended weekend hiking in Giraween.

Leaving Brisbane early Friday morning to avoid any peak hour traffic, our first stop was for coffee and some breakfast in Warwick before heading on towards Stanthorpe via the back roads in search of a number of unloved caches.

After stopping in town for some lunch we headed off again to gather a number of other caches, before checking in to our accommodation. Settled in, we still had some daylight to burn so headed back out for a few other caches nearby including this one.

The last time I had cached down this road was back in October 2013, prior to placement of this cache. Glad to have the opportunity today to return and find this well designed cache container. Easily the best cache of the day so far. TFTC

On our 4th day of holidays in Stanthorpe. We all loved this one. Such effort put into beautiful caches deserves reward. A heart from us. TFTC!

06-Jul-20
What a cute little house. It seems that at some point someone wasn’t able to find the original log stash and added an extra one. Signed both log books and returned as found.

05-Jul-20
Started looking a couple of metres early but found it quickly once we extended our hunting ground. Great cache!

16-Mar-20
I wish we had more favourite points to give as this was also sensational. We are having the BEST caching afternoon Cant wait to see what's next
Attention to detail in the crafting is awesome.
I think we signed both logs here before heading off to the next one.
Thanks Wingaap for the cache and the great overall experience.

7/12/19 3:11 pm Find #2856
Out in the country with Fangsoki for a Stanthorpe weekend, we decided it was only fair to drop in and see if the Gnome family were home. Well I knocked on the elaborate door and rang the fairy bell but it seems the gnomes had headed off perhaps to their Brisbane home for the weekend, as there was no answer.
They did leave two logbooks for visitors to find however, so I signed both and locked up house for them.
Thanks for the cache wingaap, and here’s to another FP.

Sybil and I have got to go visit the country estates to tend to some issues. I hate the country. A man knows where he is in the city.

13-Jul-19
Mr Gnome was nowhere to be seen today. Maybe he was at his town home which we visited a while ago. Thanks for the cache

15-May-19
Making our way north we have now reached the granite belt and there are a lot of interesting and quite spectacular rock formations around. This was a not a difficult cache to find with ilook4geo. It gets a favourite point from us for the well decorated home. After doing the signing duties, all was put back into its place before we headed on our way for the day. Thanks go to wingaap for putting this cache into play.

We are now caching in the granite belt with goingplaces2 and enjoying finding some fun and interesting caches. This one was easy to find and soon had our names on the paper. TFTC.

After finding a great cache, it was time for the “gnome off”. A “gnome off” is where two middle-aged adults of suspect intelligence, stand in the middle of a dirt road and pose for their best gnome photo. Looking back through the photos there were dwarfs, orcs, slugs and dugongs but nothing you would be proud to put in your garden. tftc
