This cache is still unavailable due to dredging occurring about 10m from GZ and area has exclusion fencing around it. Not sure how long this will continue.
Happy caching everyone!

Camping at tweed with friends for the long weekend. Headed out for a little wander & to find a couple of caches. Walked to this one first & its behind temporary fencing at present due to a dredging machine set up there (this didn't stop us tho...). Nice quick find. TFTC JooJoo57
Glad I came early today. The area has a large fence around gz with dredging works in progress. Luckily there were no workers onsite.
A little acrobatics and I soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks

#4490. I am visiting Australia and flew over here from New Zealand last week to attend a workshop in Brisbane. Now that the meeting is finished I have three days to sightsee and do some geocaching. After picking up caches in Brisbane yesterday I came south to spend the night at Tweed Heads. Later in the afternoon I visited the interesting caches at Burleigh Heads. Back here after sunset and I was heading back to my nearby motel. I had checked here earlier in the day and the area was fenced off and workman were present. So flagged it away. But after dark there was no one around and as my motel was less than 100m away, I decided to stop and have another look. A short walk and scramble around the shoreline and I was in. The cache was quickly found, feeling by hand rather than by torchlight so as not to alert muggles in cars nearby. Signed the log and replaced where found. Thanks for the cache joojoo57.
Note Wellington NZ is hosting the "Wellington Geocaching Event 2018" on 21-22 October 2018. Hope to see some Australian cachers over there and give it a chance to become a Mega.

Friday 18 August 2017 - wow! what another perfect warm sunny Winter's day in the mid twenties in Coolongatta and Tweed Heads finding 4 caches in the morning while MuggleDaughter was at work (3 trads in Tweeds and 1 interesting and a tricky multi that included moving between QLD and NSW around Point Danger Lookout).
This cache was a bit tricky as I needed to figure out how to cross the road with the road divider stopping me from driving down Dry Dock Road and vice versa. Got there in the end by visiting more of Tweed Heads than expected by getting a little lost. Lovely spot. TFTC joojoo57.

Figured we could take a break from the family on the houseboat by kayaking across the river, among the mangroves, up and under the bridge to find this one. Has to be worth a 5 terrain doing it this way?
Sure enough we found a little beach to park our kayak so we didn't disturb the fishermen on the pier.
Sisso2 has found the high osprey nest to photograph some birds. As always, we have the wrong lens so will have to return with the car and the big one!!

Found on a beautiful autumn afternoon. What a lovely spot. Log is completely full. Tftc Joojoo57!
A beautiful location and the Osprey was on his perch having a meal. Found the cache but alas there was no room to log.
Thank you CO for the cache.
PS. Please note that cords were roughly 4m off.

Accurate coordinates, an absence of muggles and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks joojoo7 for the cache.
Great little hiding spot. Smallest one I've ever seen! needs new paper it's all full
Sorry Joojoo57,
I logged the previous false "Found It" on my smart phone (the buttons are very tiny . [xx(]
I log again as a correct DNF.
Very pretty spot, I'm pleased I stopped to have a look, even though I could not search for the cache.
I found the probable ground zero hiding spot quite easily. Unfortunately a Muggle had placed his/her fishing gear and personal stuff all over GZ.
I did not want to create problems, so I walked away.
That is when I discovered this green space is not even a real park!!! (See photo).
By the way, that makes sense if you speak French.
Greetings from Paris, France.

Was down the coast for the weekend with OrionJ. Since we needed a cache for this day I found this one on my screen. It was only when we arrived at OrionJ reminded me that we had logged it previously and must have forgotten to log it. Since Mr LHE Duo was the one to find it then, I did the search today and added our name to the full log. TFTC joojoo57
Tftc. Found quickly but lost our pen on the bike ride. Will be back later to sign the log.
Haha! Found one down the road and now I know what we should have been looking for. Came back and Voila!
Luckily muggles were busy doing something else! Nice view.. Ospreys may have been watching. TFTC!

This took me three stops before I could access GZ today but perseverance paid off in the end. Thanks joojoo57, lovely views & TFTC
Wife looked right at this one and didn't see it... made me get on my hands and knees to find that it was on her half of the search area...

Found this one this morning while in the area after waiting for a couple of muggles to move on I had a bit of a search around then spotted the pesky thing in a spot i could get to easily. This was second attempt at this one had tried a year ago.

Actually found it Aug 9th but did not have Premium Membership back then. Nice quick find along with some others & some DNFs in the area!
Find No: 5225. Visiting from Newcastle, staying at Kingscliff, finally got a chance to get out and about, 2nd attempt at this one, thanks for the cache joojoo57!!
The first find of a week long caching streak. I had DNF this one before so it was nice to find and put another smiley on the map.
Nice place to sit and watch before heading up to Brisbane airport. No osprey around.
Thanks + danke. MacPivi

A lovely sunny day to visit Kingscliff, Tweed Heads and Coolangatta and wind our way back to Brissy We solved 5 puzzles for this jaunt and four of those were logged today.
Played chicken with the traffic crossing the busy road and wandered over to GZ for a quick find. Such a lovely location for a visit! That's us done on this side of the Tweed River for today

Quick find against the clock as we count down the minutes to get the rental car back and get to the airport! TFTC. Nice nest
Caught a fish here last night but too many Muggles to nab the cache. Staying at the CP across the road so ducked over today. TFTC
Found it!
My 5 found this one!
We even had a great view of the osprey with a mouse in her talons.

It was good to meet the CO at a recent event, and I was in the area so I thought I'd find some of her caches! This was the first one. As I walked up to GZ, I looked up to the osprey nesting perch to see what looked like a giant chicken up there - oh no, it turns out it was a pair of ospreys in disguise! I need to get my eyes tested. It was good to see them nesting and making use of their giant perch.
It was a quick find at GZ, and I walked up the jetty and enjoyed the views before moving on.

Please make sure the magnetic cache is well hidden. Is muggle resting place at times. Happy caching.
Had a good look around and climbed both trees but still came up empty handed. There were 2 babies in the nest! Great spot. TFTH.
Such a very beautiful location here along the side of the wide bay of the river. Have often admired this view as I've driven by here in the past to visit my parents who were not far from here. I saw two Ospreys in the nest today. A lovely treat. I wasn't the only person enjoying the park today, but fortunately the little family were busy picnicking and watching their littley which gave me an opportunity to grab the cache to sign. Watching where they were watching I was able to get the cache back safe in its home. Thanks for the ones of this series I was able to do today joojoo57. I have really enjoyed it. [^][^]
We are having a couple of night at Boyd's Bay caravan park before heading home.
This was an area we had not been to before so it was a very nice scenic drive, geocaching as we went.
Visited some great locations & found some interesting caches.
This was the losest cache to the caravan park, 2 ospreys here today, I presume feeding their young
Thanks for placing this cache joojoo57

On approach to GZ from the car park I could see two Osprey up in the nest, one was even feeding on a fish. It was very cool to see I must say.
I strolled over and grabbed a seat on the picnic table close by and waited for a few fishermen to walk past. Once they were on the jetty and paying no attention to me I started looking around bit soon come up empty handed, what the?
Even though the cache page didn't have a tree climb attribute, I couldn't help myself, it was begging me, so up I went. A quick look around and ah there she is. I figured while I'm up here I may as well fill in the paper work.
A beautiful spot to bring people to, thanx joojoo

Well this one was very much in the wrong spot for the direction we were coming from. Probably should have made the stop this morning on the way south. Not to worry, Mr LHE duo jumped out while we waited for the lights and soon we after we parked around the corner.
The find did not take to long and Mr LHE Duo had the cache in hand and soon names were added to the log and all back on our way back to Coolangatta.

Searching for this one in the dark.
There were a couple of muggles around but I'm sure that I searched the right area thoroughly.

I had a very good look in all the nesting places of the 2 trees, but the cache was no-where to be found
There were some muggles around today but they were not interested in me. Thank you for the nice easy find.
This was the first one in this series, a bit of searching before it was spotted, then spent sometime taking in the view. TFTC
Deciding to head somewhere cooler for the day, we found ourselves on this little trail.

Lovely spot, I remember when the tick gates used to be near here and all cars had to stop to have their boots inspected and all fruit was taken. I am always amazed when I see the Osprey nesting in these nests, none around today. TFTC
A quick find here tonight for another, "just because" cache for the evening before heading out for some dinner. Cache was quickly spotted by torchlight. Many thanks for the hide!
easy find this morning. this is such a peaceful place in the morning, i loved kayaking around here too.
I finally remembered why joojoo57 was familiar to me when i met her on the caching trail around Mega. I used to live here a year or so ago and had been keeping an eye on the new caches in the Tweed area in a long distance kind of way. I'll be back up in August and look forward to finding more of your caches then. thanks for this one.

After a bit of a sleep over at Point Danger while waiting for daylight to get some better photos of the trigs I had been woken up by others getting in/out of their vehicles, and thought that I might as well find a cache now that I needed to get up anyway. This one showed up as not too far away, and from where it looked to be I thought this may be a 'muggle-free' time. Certainly was.

Out and about walking locally today to find a cache or two
As I was walking along the foreshore I thought there might be a cache or three along here ... but there is only one.
So I went searching for it and soon found it.
Thanks for the cache.

Didn't see an Osprey up the pole but after a good look around I finally got my hand on that which is to be found. TFTC joojoo57
Our newly converted caching buddy and friend wanted to do some caching today so we weren't going to refuse her as it gave an excuse (even though we didn't need one) for Geo Wife and I to do some more of our favourite game.
There were a great new group of caches down this way so it was our obvious choice!
We have a cache similar to this nearer our home so when we spotted the pole we knew exactly where to head to.
Closer to GZ we referred to the GPS for the exact location of the hide and commenced our search.
This one had us scratching our heads for a little while as we were sure the GPS was accurate here.
It was only after we covered each others steps that I came up with the prize!!
We took the opportunity while we were here to see if Mr or Mrs Osprey or even bubs were at home and to our surprise and delight Mrs Osprey was out on her balcony sunning herself and looking very happy.
Nice Hide JooJoo TFTC SL & Thanks for bringing us to the Ospreys

Neat little spot. We looked there and didn't see it. Great camo! I left a mini blue smartphone stylus. Can't believe that it fit! TFTC!
Was so tired after 2 dives at Byron Bay and then another in the Tweed River today that I forgot all about logging this find. Needed to fill a blank in the calendar for today and drove right past this on the way home. It was a quick find. Thanks joojoo57. Will do the rest of the trail another day.
Forgot about logging till I was back up at Tweed again today and drove past the location again. That jolted my memory so here is my log.
