Haven’t walked over here for quite some time, a lovely day for it after a few grey days. TFTC
We are camped at Yorketown to enable us to find a few more of the Gone Fishn' caches and while here we are picking up other caches that we have missed on our other trips to the Peninsular. This cache is in good condition and there was not a muggle in sight when we collected the cache. SL TFTC
No Billy bones today. Day 7 in SA after numerous trips were sabotaged due to you know what and its the first day it has not been more than a chilly brisk! The Innes National Park and it’s caches was high on the list along with several other random caches so hoping to tick all boxes before heading back to home base. I’m out on trusty treadles aka my mtb to explore the trails and surroundings. I’ve learnt theRE are plenty of quality SA caches - plenty to pique the curiosity and anticipation of another surprise or fun cache. Happy and relieved to record no DNF’s today and on average most were located ‘relatively’ quickly. TFTC AND THE FUN and the effort to contribute to this fave game
Coordinates about 5 metres out. Easy find though. Easy 400 metre walk along the fire track from the car park. Thanks
Going through my list of finds from yesterday afternoon I realised I’d forgotten to log some! Enjoyed the walk to this cache and finding it. Found on 27/9. TFTC
No tree branches needed to jump out to trip shonkylogic because he is quite adept at tripping over his own shonky feet on surfaces as smooth as a billiard table.
Went to gz but then looked at the hint and thought perhaps gz was 20m out. So looked around the old cart without success even though there are some places there that would hide a micro very well.
Then thought to go back to where the GPS was indicating and of course there it was almost lying in the open. Not sure how I missed it the first time.
Thanks for the walk and the tree roots.

First find of the day for me, after a nice stroll along the track in the drizzle. Cache and log in good condition there was even a little omen just near by! TFTC
A nice walk in to Billy's place from the nearby sandy track and park with a view.
Pleased it was not a nano on anything...
arrrrr thanks for the smiley from another cool cache hide Febek
Found on a daytrip birthday caching with Purrfect Di , Sebastbat , and Jack.
What do you do when you can't have a few days off caching... cram it into one!!!
Only found a handful, but they were awesome views, fun drives, refreshing walks,
redeeming some dnfs and generally have a great day enjoying the sunshine and caching
---
it's not over yet!
- - cache at a social distance wherever you can - -
Stay away from bugs ( except travel bugs of course )
- avoid people as much as you can [:o)]
- get out and pop some caches in our regional areas !
Parked 400m from the cache and made our way along the trail here, a short search and hurtles throw down was found. Cache is all good
A quick overnight trip to the Yorkes for 1.5 days of solid caching. I did a bit of the geoart by myself before meeting up with Davidwazza for a majority of the day caching around Innes National Park. With an event in the evening in Edithburgh headed over there before going for a nice walk along the water front for the evening. Day 2 I made my way from Edithburgh along the coast line and back home by lunch time. A total of 169 caches for the trip.
Thanks for the cache

This weekend, I headed to the Yorke Peninsula. The goal was to visit Innes National Park for the Saturday to find a few of the oldie geocaches, but also to enjoy a different vicinity for geocaching. I used Edithburgh to base myself for the weekend's activities. On the drive to/from Edithburgh, I visited Ardrossan, Port Vincent, Wool Bay, and Coobowie, and also visited as far south as Sultana Point and Troubridge Point.
Today, after participating in Edithburgh parkrun, I met gridge98 at Marion Bay, and we travelled through Innes National Park. We drove up to Browns Beach, and then made our way back visiting and hiking Royston Head, West Cape Lightstation, Ethel Beach, Cape Spencer Lighthouse, and the historic township of Inneston. With a few hours left before the Edithburgh dinner event, we separated and I decided to head north to visit a few Yorke Peninsula oldie geocaches. Following dinner, gridge98 and I walked from Edithburgh to Coobowie find the *Where Ancestors Walked By the Sea* series.
We drove the tracks as far as we could, but then had to walk the remaining 400 m to this location. A cool old shed/ruins nearby too. After a short search, we managed to find the cache that was thrown down by Hurtle on 9/06/2017. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. We also managed to see a group of emus during our drive too. Thanks Febek and brittcox for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Found while staying in the Engineers Lodge at Inneston for a few nights, with some great scenic locations visited and some nice walks during the days. Thanks for the cache Febek and brittcox!
Found It!
Well I found Hurtle's replacement cache anyway. Nice spot and some nice views.

Much harder than it had to be. We walked around in circles for a while chasing the needle and looking under and in tree after tree, before we eventually found the cache under some sticks.
Finally. Found the hint a little misleading. Turns out GZ is like 25m away from the hint suggests. Wanted to find it quick due to mozzies. Got there in the end. TFTC.
Aussie Mary and I had gone on a girls trip to find some geocaches, admire the view and rest and relax....
This took some hunting to spot, but got there in the end.
No idea what the hint meant?
Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

Knowing that this cache was back up, we decided to try and find it. Walking into it was an adventure as mogni and Mary are not that tall but the kangaroo we startled was really tall. He seemed more scared of us, so we continued towards GZ. There were lots of spots and the hint did not make sense. We spread out, and then mogni made the find back near GZ. TFTC and the run in with the roo Febek and brittcox.
A find at last. Drove past this not that long ago so had to quickly drop past today and find it - at the now good coordinates.
Clear skies, TeamAstro.

I wandered the trail from the outskirts of suburbia this morning.
And approaching GZ found a familiar sight and sound.
That of a maintenance worker mowing the fire trail next to GZ [:o]
I am cursed !! [:o]
Every park,
every cemetery,
every roadside !!,
and now National Park I visit is being mown whenever I approach a cache !! [:o]
Or at least it seems that way sometimes
At least this muggle on a mower had just finished the job,
and rather politely left
Hmmm !! Maybe that was the bloke who lives in the shed [:o]
With the coast clear and the pollen count rapidly lowering,
I found the correct spot to look for a cache
And just like the ride,
the wheels fell off this cache chase !! [:o]
Fifteen minutes of looking and I could find not a trace of a cache !!

Didn't find this one. Used all the clues and the photos. We were absolutely furious to leave empty handed. Had some cousins and aunties help us on this one. Grass may have made it a little more difficult for us. Billy, you got us on this one. We will be coming back. We will find it eventually!!!!!!! (I hope)
Found with Zobo04, Borisb&Natasha and Bounty Trackers. Heading on our way to The York Peninsula for Easter and to catch up with the rest of our group. Sorry for the late logs life sometimes has an uncanny way of getting in the way. I was busy trying to get in front of KTCvic whom we are meeting up with. So lets get as many caches as we can along the way so for 5 minutes I will have more finds. Nothing like a little friendly competition. Thanks for making our trip fun and TFTC
Found with Gonefishen07, BorisB&Natasha and Bounty Trackers on our way to an Easter weekend on the York Peninsula. We had a great time thanks to all CO's for the fun times. Sorry for the late logs. TFTC
On Easter weekend I went to South Australia with KTCvic, zobo04, Gonefishin07, BorisB&Natasha, De Ja Vu and Bounty Trackers.
Everyone had a great time there finding 471 caches in 24 hours. Finding a total of 640 throughout the weekend that we were staying up there. All the caches were well hidden and some were difficult and some were easy to find. We had great time trying to be the person to find the cache before the others. Surprising us on Easter Sunday morning the Easter bunny had visited us in the night.
Thanks for all of the wonderful caches.

Easter Weekend - Yorke Peninsular - 3000kms - 640 caches - 4000 cache milestone.
After discussions with Gonefishen07 and Bounty Trackers a plan was hatched to visit the Yorke Peninsular to tackle the fish geo art over Easter. We set out Thursday lunchtime heading to Bordertown, a side trip to Minyip to check out Coopers Crossing was made. Friday we turned off at Murray Bridge and headed to Gawlar to check out Gawlar's Fort Knox, we had lunch at Port Wakefield before heading down to Marion Bay to meet everyone. The group Geo Nerds comprise of Gonefishen07, Zobo04, Bounty Trackers, KTCvic, de ja vu, Velocachu and BorisB&Natasha. We cached locally on Friday afternoon and hit the powertrails in earnest on Saterday where we finished on Sunday lunchtime. We then visited a number of caches on the coast to see some magnificent views. Monday saw us depart Marion Bay heading up to Balranald through Renmark grabbing a cache in three states in one day! A detour to Tocumwal then the drive back to Melbourne saw a fantastic weekend end. Thank you to Leesa, Zoe, Ash, Rob, Kate and Sioux for the fun, frivolity and friendship that made the weekend so great!
Arriving at our digs for the next few days we discovered Ian and Penny sitting on the verandah. A quick introduction and cuppa whist unloading vehicles before heading out to grab a few local caches. We walked over towards GZ seeing the object we followed the GPS, wrong move. Went back and Gonefishen07 made the discovery after taking some great pics with the setting sun.
Thank you for all the placers and cache owners we had a fantastic time!!!

Geo Nerds Yorke Peninsula caching exposition consist of Borisb&Natasha, Zobo04,De Ja Vu, KTCvic, Gonefishen07, Velocachu & Bounty Trackers.
Gonefishen07, Zobo04, Borisb&Natasha and myself Bounty Trackers left on Wednesday morning with one objective, to get Gonefishen07 cache finding count higher than KTCvic who was about 100 cache in front. We spent 2 days straight chasing caches all the way from Gippsland in Victoria to The York Peninsula in SA, where we finally got 8 caches ahead of KTCvic. The smile on Gonefishen face said it all ( I think the comment was made CATCH ME NOW Trenty ).
Along our journey we made a side trip to Gawler to get the multi Fort Knox cache which was on our hit list. What a brilliant cache. Well worth the detour. It will be getting a favorite point from me.
On Friday Velocachu, KTCvic & De Ja Vu graced us with there presence and it was time to start the Yorke Peninsula Geo Art Starting at Hook then Jellyfish, Fish, Anchor, some of Fish Tales,Sammy Starfish and most of the Boat, we then did Sally starfish, and the rest of Fish Tales and then finished with the leftover boat.
Milestone achieved
Velocachu 500
Zobo04 2000
Borisb&Natasha 2000
De Ja Vu 3000
KTCvic 4000
Gonefishen07 4000
Bounty Trackers 4000
Thanks to all the cache owners for the effects in placing such a great series we just loved it.
A BIG THANKYOU to Kate,Rob,Sioux,Katy,Trent,Leesa,Campbell & Zoe for a fun filled Easter long weekend, I had a great time with lots of laughs, thanks again.

It was with great excitement that I headed to South Australia with the Geo Nerds consisting of Gonefishen07, Bounty Trackers, KTCvic, de ja vu, Zobo04 & Velocachu.
I have never cached outside of Victoria, nor in a group and I was really looking forward to it.
Every single one of us achieved a very memorable milestone made even more special because they were achieved with very special friends.
Thank you so much to the many COs for the time and effort in placing their caches. I'm sure it enables many groups like ours to get together, have lots and lots of fun and form life long friendships, all in the quest for little pieces of treasure.

Hi there Febek. We found your cache **"Bad Billy Bones"** at 6:32:00 PM today.
This was our 5th cache find in a caching run of 64 Finds & 0 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 13525.)
Day 6 of our attempt to clean up the Geo-Art on the Yorke Peninsula.
Today we picked up a cache maintenance kit from Freddo and Team Waldron in Coobowie, and we just had to do a few caches as well. This one isn't part of the Geo-Art series so it deserves a finely crafted log, not one of the crappy cut-n-paste ones that usually are associated with power trails.
We had a large group hunt here today, mostly looking around the posted coordinates, while a small group took photos of "Billy's ride".
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 22m West from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** Container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A smiley badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Found while on Yorke Peninsula with iluvtrekking. Fortunate to have amazingly clear, warm weather for duration of our stay which made for very pleasant caching. After completing the nearby Fish series we headed into the park to grab some finds. Found the container after referring to the hint - the listed co-ords are out by 23 mts. Thanks Febek
Found on day two of our Caching the Yorke Peninsula adventure with richlink.
We love the Yorke Peninsula, the history, the remoteness and we had the most perfect caching weather.
Thanks for the cache Febek.

Billy took me for a bit of a ride at first but finally found it! Love this area. Peaceful and pretty. Used to go to stenhouse and the bottom end as a kid. Climbing over the Ethel and nearly getting sucked out to sea just mucking about in shallow water
Gotta respect the sea and landscape around here. TFTC. took the black dice of death and left a monster to scare Billy.

Today we are heading back to the Yorke peninsula to chase a few first to finds up for grabs and continue finding caches here, its great to be back on the Yorke peninsula and what was suppose to be a overnight stay ended up being 2 nights and 3 days here on the Yorke peninsula, we managed to find quite a few while here and on our third day we had to head back earlier than planned after car issues, the weather was very pleasant while here and we look forward to returning back here to keep finding more caches, we thank all the COs for placing these caches for us to find and making our visit very enjoyable. TFTC
The cache is 23m south of the listed coords in the obvious location. Obvious when you spot it and match it to the hint. Dead men tell no tales.

A weekend of caching on Yorkes to replace 1 cache of mine down the bottom end.

Took us a while to spot the obvious.
Nice walk but we're only a third of the way. to the other cache we're after this morning.

TFTC and the motivation to revisit this once favourite spot. We often rode the bikes through here when the Coopers Crew kids were younger. It's a terrific little ride or walk circuit including stopping off at the beach.
Already day 4 of the big caching trip[ for this year. Goal is a lot of power trails today, but certainly not forget the caches on the way there from Stanbury and back. Perfect caching weather today, not to hot, not to dusty and a nice breeze to cool off once in a while!

Out for an evening stroll with Geodaughter, perhaps not the best idea with pirate ghosts wandering about the place. We apologised for dusturbing him and he left us alone. TFTC.
Day twelve of the short holiday with Bettyboo3747.
Our last day in Marion Bay. Just cleaning up a few caches in the morning, and a ride after lunch.
Like others, we looked where the GPSr said, then used the clue.
A nice spot. We rode the deadly treadlies here for a quick escape in case of pirates!
Thanks, Robmc.

# 9420. Our last day in Marion Bay and we awoke to a clear blue sky, however the wind is still very nippy. It is caching in the morning, the tavern for lunch and then a bike ride this afternoon.
We rode up and over the hill to find the Bones - it was fortunate that we did because when we discovered GZ 23 metres from where our GPSr wanted us to search. Now to continue our ride to visit Rhino Head.
Thanks Febek

Todays drive was in the Innes National Park. We travelled with mccamob & pprass signed the log as DIMP.

Found at 10:22 AM GAFF5 in the company of DiMorgan & maccamob - we signed our names in the log book as "Dimp".
We were searching where GZ said and we found nothing. Looks like those pirates have shifted the cache to a more interesting location. So we looked elsewhere and the cache was found as per the hint.
Thanks Febek.
Feedback: Corrected co-ords supplied.

Found by Mary & David, in company with Di Morgan and pprass (signed as Dimp), at 0955. Found after a short search some distance away from our indicated GZ. Recorded our own coords for future reference. Did Billy come to grief on his ride? We can hear the sound of the water and smell the sea. Our thanks to Febek.
Pimped out ride needs a bit of work. Looks like it's going to be a never ending project
Found with Rapidly wild and the ladies of the FurfacesLL on our Yorke Peninsula geoinvasion extra long weekend. The objective: make the nab on the geoart and on as many others as our time and energy would allow Lots of fun and laughs and a great weekend all round!
We'd finished making the collect on the geoart so we were off to see the sights and collect some trads around the National Park. FFLL#2, Rapidlywild and myself made our way on foot to this one whilst FFLL#1 stayed with the car. After navigating our way through the scrub it was on with the search. Had to use the hint at this one as, unfortunately, the coords are way out.
Thanks for the hide, Febek and brittcox

So the adventure with FurfacesLL ladies, specimenX and myself had begun on the Yorke. We were here to attack the geo-art and what ever else we could get our hands on. 5 days of fun and games, many stories to be shared and a good weekend all in all
This was full day number 3, after a big day yesterday we were back out again to continue hitting the geo-art. Apologies for the generic logs.
It was out to the National Reserve to pick up some more caches after succesfully finishing the geo-art powertrails.
Thanks to all the cache owners who took their time to place the caches we have collected over this weekend. [^]

Our geomission with Rapidlywild and SpecimenX had commenced. This geomission had been in the planning since the new geo-art caches had been placed. The Canberra Day long weekend was chosen to give us enough days to collect as many as possbile. Our target is to get all of the caches in the art works and a few more if possible.
We finished collecting all the art and now it was time to take in the sights of the peninsula and the national park.
Thanks to all the cache owners for placing the caches we had a blast of a weekend!

Found with my Hero Husband (Moneydork) and a few other cachers on a weekend away. Thanks.
What a weekend!
Set out Saturday with Dennisc52, CPwanderer and Clare007 in Dennisc52's geomobile, accompanied by Moneydork and Tounga in theirs.
We met firesafe over there too.
I bailed ship on Saturday night when Dennisc52 and crew returned home, so that I could continue to cache on Sunday with Laighside Legends, firesafe and Moneydork and Tounga.
By the end of the weekend, I had finished the 'current' geoart on YP and totalled 275 & 3DNFs .
Got to love a *FTF* especially when you don't realise that it is
Thankfully some of our determined group searched until this was found [^]

Heading down to southern Yorkes for a couple of days power trailing (and other caches as well) with locus cache, CPWanderer, Moneydork, Claire007, DennisC52 and Tounga, grabbing 430 caches for the weekend. Thanks to all the cache hiders.
Got a *FTF* on this one but the coords are out by 25 metres so use the hint.

The boys stopped to grab this one, as we broke up the GeoArt trail. Thanks for the cache guys
Joint FTF!! Found while caching with locus cache, Clare007, CPWanderer, Moneydork and Firesafe. With so many eyes, it was an easy find. TFTC.
