Logs
Day 3 of our 4 day anniversary road trip to Maryborough and out West. Lots of adventure to be had with my love SCAHPA. Log signed as CS & SC to save time and room - Trademark skeleton animals sticker left in cache - TFTC, effort time and maintenance
Found it after looking in the wrong place and coming face to face with a carpet Python. Did a hop, slip and a jump backwards.TFTC Found with my sweetheart ChasingShadows43. Signed as CS+SC
Found at 3:42 PM GAFF1.Gosh - now there is a very nice caravan park! Green, spacious and nicely treed.Headed over to GZ and just as well I stopped the car about 20 metres away as I found some interesting garbage on the ground including a gnarly jockey wheel that may have caused a bit of tyre damage. Thanks to youngoldfella
Before we left Kingaroy today, Mrs Woodyrothwell stopped into Woolworths to grab some lunch. We always plug in the car fridge to keep things cool. She had just had a nap, tasted some wine at a cellar door and then suddenly realised she was hungry.I had to pull over to grab her lunch from the fridge which strangely also coincided with a hide. tftc
Found easily. It was lying on the ground at base of tree. Now hidden a bit better from any muggles. TFTC.
Another quick find and now I need to get to the event. Thanks for the cache youngoldfella
Had to wait til a shower of rain eased. I headed in to the cache and soon had it in hand. Had to take to geofriend as I couldn't undo it. Last cacher must have a tight grip. Signed the log and returned to where I found it with more covering. Thanks youngoldfella. All good with this cache.
Camping at peach trees with our 4x4 club and taking a run into Murgon a n d Goomeri picking up caches along the way. Stopped to grab this cache. Good sized cache. Log signed cache returned. Interested in the camping place nearby.. may have to make enquiries. Tftc
Had a bit of trouble getting the cache, it had been cross threading but with an extra oomp, i it did open. Lovely big cache tftc
10:43:00 AM. Heading into Murgon so a quick detour. Found cache on the ground. Log signed and put back and covered. Thanks for the cache youngoldfella
Staying in Murgon for a couple of days, giving us a chance to get to the 13000 milestone, hopefully the challenge caches and trail caches from the QOGM will be released soon. Setup at the Bush camp and an easy afternoon doing the Lab caches and those in town.

Found whilst on a very non direct route to QOGM - Charleville 2022. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird (aka Mrs Geo, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird, Angry Bird & occasionally even Love Bird). It’s a great day for caching.

Found in good nick this side of the black stump.
On the Yorke Peninsula there is a lovely little town Ardrossan. The pubs held a competition to see which was the best and could claim the title of ‘the best pub this side of the black stump’ One of the pubs was determined to win at all costs, the publican convinced a local bloke to drag a huge black stump out of the bush and drop it out side his door, outwitting everyone. True story
Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

It is so good to be out caching with KerryL62 again. She may live further away from "The Black Stump" but it didn't take her long to find this one. Our names are now in the log. TFTC YOF

Another find in a typical hiding spot in the bush. Just got to work out which one. Thanks for another one.
I making my way towards Murgon and surrounds with a couple of target caches for some crazy challenges…
Made my way into GZ through the sea of chest high grass trying to keep one eye out for water, another out for slithery things all the while using my third eye to look for the cache…
The insides were a little damp, so I replaced both the logs and swags bags and ensured the container was upright before I left… tftc…

Camped the night less than 100m away.. silly not to grab this one before heading off! TFTC
Having learned our lesson we looked at the gps that said ‘over there’ so went ‘over there’ only to have the gps change its mind, lol. Then the cache was found quickly in good condition by geohubby who signed the log before replacing all as found.
Cheers and many thanks!

Good hiding spot. Even 9year old Joey hopped through the long grass and found it!
Starting at the camp ground nearby... which are fantastic by the way... perfect place to drop off a TB.

Another day caching from Goomeri while up from the Sunny Coast. Just as the name suggested. TFTC youngoldfella
Chillaxing in the bush for a few days after a week and a half of beach and social activity. It was pretty full-on at times. Felt like my stamina for Happy Hour and conversation had bottomed out This morning I drove into Murgon for ️ and a couple of things. Then beadled around collecting caches
Dropped the yellow Lego TB into this cache

I didn't have the correct footwear for this Bush so I was grateful for the elevate wooden footpath here. All good in this tube and I found a travel bug here- yay!
TFTC left Pete the dragonfly for a hang out near the dam! Before he heads to his next location!
Found on our Covid delayed 2020 Qld escape trip with Roostaman.

Nice quick find on a chilly morning whilst staying at the Caravan Park - my first for quite some time. TFTC
Heading up to Kilkivan to attend the annual event, which we've become quite find of over the last few years.
Instead of taking the boring highway route, we're heading out through Nanango and stopping here and there to make some finds along the way of ones we've missed previously or that have been published since our last visit.
---
Log for Black Stump signed at 12:20 and cache returned as found. Thanks for the smilie and bringing us here **youngoldfella**. This log is trackable, mention where you saw it.

Easy find. Pen is no good hadn’t a spare to replace it with. Also note pad wet. Tried to dry it a little.

TFTC. We are house sitting in Bundaberg and this week we have the opportunity to take the Motorhome for a short trip away as the owner’s daughter is home fore a week. Decided to head for Goomeri/Kilkivan area for a caching road trip. WE parked at Goomeri Showgrounds for a few nights. Arriving early afternoon decided to head toward Boat Mountain and cache along the way. We attempted 9 trads and an Earthcache. A nice haul and we got back just before dark.
Staying at the Caravan Park opposite, this was a nice short walk and quick find. Thanks to youngoldfella.
The new relocated GZ is directly across the road from the original co ordinates in a straight line. The owner of the Caravan Park wants to remove the stump that was the original GZ placement to make it easier for him to use his mower even though it is not his property. I can understand his desire to keep the front of his property looking neat and tidy.

Distance from original: 43.9 feet or 13.4 meters.
As per my note. I had recognised that I had made a small error on the change of GZ co ordinates and came back today to confirm the correct co ordinates as
S26 15.255 E151 58.865

GZ now across the road from original G. Look for a tree with a tall stump in front of it. Cache is in the stump at the back and covered with natural material. Not at ground level.
Just noticed a slight problem with the revised co ordinates. Close enough so that you can find the new G. I will be back in the next few weeks to correct this little error.

Just over the road from original GZ as the caravan park owner wants to remove the stump which I used originally to make mowing the footpath easier for him.

Pretended we were looking at the nearby kookaburra feasting on something on the grass nearby. Well we're looking at the kookaburra but we're also doing something else. Seems like a lovely caravan park! Tnsl tftc youngoldfella xo
This is a busy place with campers and muggles going to the dump so it felt a bit exposed today but all sorted with expert stealth. The tube is a bit damp inside but log was ok. Thanks youngoldfella for this one.
Staying at the Barambah Bush caravan park with the caravan club and picking up a few smilies while in the area. Tftc
It wasn't easy to look innocent when two families were camping nearby GZ. Container surprisingly exposed in its hide but only if you were looking there.
Up bright and early today, caffeinated and set off with Brother Colin for the day to find some caches and explore a little of this region.
I found 31 today, north, east, and south of our campsite in Murgon. What a great way to spend the day, listening to Triple J's Hottest 100 in the air conditioning of the car in between finds.
These cache containers are great, nice and dry and all in good nick.
Thanks for the cache!

This week-end Caro (from Jess & Caro) & myself teamed up for a few days of geocaching up this way. [^]
Day 2: We started the with a trip to Boat Mtn to check on a cache I have adopted. After that our geocaching drive headed east and south.
I found a total of 21 caches for the day and Caro found a few more than that.
All finds were found quickly and generally in good condition.
Thanks for the caches.

We will be leaving very soon to attend the Red Centre Experience Event being held in Alice Springs and have decided we would try to make that event a milestone ... the only problem is we are a few hundred caches short This was the perfect excuse for a quick road trip through Nanango/Murgon/Kingaroy The weather was a little rainy, but surprisingly we remained relatively dry during the day with the worst of the rain occurring while we camped overnight [^]
We managed to locate this cache easily and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our journey.
Thank you youngoldfella for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy
