Found with KdosVerH123Second find of the day after a solid hike up the nearby hill. GPS was having a little difficulty, but the hint narrowed the search down. Log signed and replaced as found.Happy to report that the cache is in good condition and the logbook nice and dry.Tftc
Beautiful spot for a walk. Been to Doongalla many times but never along this track. What a great hiding spot.
Found on an afternoon escape with Cygnus3333, this is an area I've been meaning to visit for some time. I may not have been so keen had I studied the contour lines more closely however! ;-P Found fairly quickly with the aid of the hint - missed it on my first look, checked again more closely with the phone and spotted it. TFTC
I had a job postponed this morning so made the most of it with a caching hike. A very pleasant day for it, in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges.
The steep climb to this one got the blood pumping, and a short detour from the track soon had the cache in hand.
The track seemed familiar, I'm sure I remember finding an unloved cache further down this track some time back.
All in good dry condition.

Thanks for the cache Ahomburg, Had some time to look around the bush near work today (and pick up a Cache too). Found in great condition. Interested to find an old tree stump near by with a hole for a spring board. Back in the day they would cut the tree above the buttresses to only take the straight part of the tree for easy handling. These days it would be considered wasteful, turns out there is not an infinite number of trees out there.

Find #5/7 with Fitzelfleas, after a fun day caching yesterday. Cache was soon spotted and signed. TFTC
That’s a nice hiding spot. Cache is in excellent condition. Thanks for the cache, ahomburg.
Today I dropped my daughter off for a few days sleepover at her friends house so then I of course had to look for some caches on the way home. Well, in a very roundabout way home anyway. I had the scooter with me to take on these trails today and boy they were steep in some sections so very glad that I did.
I rushed my initial search here and missed it, but on a second much better look I had it found and signed.
Thanks ahomburg for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Out on my new electric mountain bike to find some hides much easier than the manual version tftc
I found the extra out of sequence I suppose - like others I checked the wrong fallen log first. tftc
Quick easy find Great ride close to work on the mountain bike for some Sunday exercise, riding up this is a nice workout. On mission to get some local caches. *Cache find # 12196.*
Out on the hunt for Ahomburg caches which tells you that I am either insane or just plan stupid but anyway I’m out here getting a little exercise before the weather warms up.
Going passed this one on the way to another, a quick find once I treaded carefully through the undergrowth to get to GZ.
**Thanks to ahomburg for placing this cache.**

It’s been awhile since we’ve meandered around the Dandenongs, so today we had our route all planned and our target caches. I very quickly regretted this decision as we slowly climbed this massive hill, and probably cursed the CO about 100 times.
As we reached and found the cache, enjoying the views along the way, all was forgiven.
That was some workout Mr ahomburg. Thanks…….I guess:)

OK, this is a bit tragic, but I now have a bunch of draft logs that are up to two months old. My plans of writing entertaining and informative tales for each one, illustrated with terrific photos, have become a bit ambitious. I will embellish where I can, and come back to some later, but will have to make do with generic logs for now.
Of course, this is not to disregard the appreciation I have for those who have placed and maintain each of these caches. I love youse all. TFTC

So, with my trusty shiny torch in my pocket I made much shorter work of this hide.
Pushing on for the multi final if that hill isn’t too steep for me.
See how it goes. Ha

Sad to say this one escaped me today. Had a red hot go but just came up empty.
Needed geokids younger eyes I think.
Will put on a watch list.

Day #5 of an attempt to do a 365 streak. While it been a good start (little bumpy see day#3 log) but now into the rhythm a little more. Looks like a lunch time quickie works best. Sneak out if the office to grab this cache. Jeez that was a steep hill but rewarding to get up and to GZ. After feeling flat, this challenge is really putting back the passion for this game. Its early days and now from tomorrow not sure how it will go with the lockdown and all. Good thing there are enough local caches which i can use "exercise" as the statement to give to police over the next 6 weeks. Wish me luck....
A not so quick find, had to look and feel....

Grabbed this whilst attempting the nearby multi. Phone is on 8% so probs wont get much further.
Heading up to do the multi cache, I passed this one and figured I may as well stop and get it, since I doubt I want to go up the hill again!
One I missed a while back when the multi in the area was still going . Quick find and on my way. TFTC
It was lovely walking through here today. I expected to be alone, but a lady passed by riding her bike up the hill, and a man ran past going down hill. I thought the cache was missing at first, but on looking closer, I found it. Tftc.
I decided to walk around the area for a few hours this afternoon as it's been quite a while since I've been here and figured to grab a few caches as well. This was the first one I found today after walking up from the park gate. I notice the weird house downhill to the SE hasn't changed much, if at all, in the past 20 years or so. I work in progress I guess you could say!

Found while doing the multi. I met some muggles here and explained geocaching. They showed considerable interest. A quick find here after reading the hint. The cache was in good condition. Thanks ahomburg

Found this on a sunny winter afternoon. I was enjoying the view so much that I overshot this one by 70m - most unusual. The cache itself took a little finding - lots of potential places to hide a cache here. All in good order once found, though.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
A nice extra cache on the way to finding the nearby DM multi - a quick and easy find. The nearby house has amazing views of the valley and melbourne beyond - I was very jealous! TFTC!
Found today at 4:00pm as number 1 of 2 on our, Just had to Get Out of the House afternoon. Over 5 and a half years since we last came up this hill for #21. Boy, it is dry up here as the dried moss on the log attests to. Thanks from D & H B-A.
Took the GPS And us a while to find this one. We were looking at it all wrong. We were rewarded with a travel bug though. TFTC.
Dad and teen wandered up the hill after dinner. Dad is even further out of shape than he realised. Trip back down the hill was possibly tougher, but we made it back down the hill with a few slips and slides but no scrapes. Dropped bug. TFTC AHomburg.
Thanks for the extra cache, lovely day to be out, sun was shining but plenty of shade by the trees.
Find #1017
This one has me confused. I managed to find the cache easily enough once I looked at the right object, but when I looked in the log book it said #DM 95... either there's some recycling going on, this one had been renamed, or I am just imaging things in my delirious state. Either way I definitely found the cache at this location - I think. TFTC!

Found a good place to park for this one and made the climb/stroll to it. The item in the hint was found to be Lying On (the) Ground.

Fitbit had deemed this Goal Day 2016, so I used that as an incentive to pick an area that I'd been meaning to get back to, and skirted around, for the past 2 1/2 years. In the meantime, the Dandenongs Meander series has doubled in size to an even 100. The section directly below the antennae was where I'd begun the series, and I was keen to clear the last outstanding caches from the original fifty (except #2, which had been muggled when I logged its companions, and is currently offline due to this year's controlled burns).
I knew what I was in for, here, having walked this trail before in search of a smiley. Thankfully, it was far less treacherous than my previous visit, which had been in the midst of a wet Spring, making the steep pinches rather slippery. That said, it was still one heck of a workout. Cheers, ahomburg.

I headed out to this hide this afternoon and managed a park outside the park gates as the sign informed me that they will be locked at 3:30 and I didn't want to walking home from here today. The old legs felt the walk up but it levelled out after a few hundred metres and it was a much easier then to the gz, after a little searching I soon had the cache in hand. Thanks ahomburg for the hide. Signed the log at 3:15, TNLN.
Found this one in the course of completing the multi, unsurprisingly. Uncharacteristically for the day overall, it was in the first place I looked. Nice hiding place. I can't imagine that it would be disturbed by casual passersby by any time soon. Thanks ahomburg!
Out on my own today to enjoy this lovely area. Parked down at the theatre and walked up to start the multi and picked this one up while I was here. Needed to use those leg muscles to get up a couple of the gradients, good excerise. Thanks Adrian for giving me the incentive to come here. Thanks for the hints as it is always hard under such overhead coverage.
Cache is in excellent condition.

Doing a few of my local caches on a Friday arvo. Picked my two girls up from school and up the hills we go. And what a hill it is!!!!
Thinking it will be more fun on the way down. Easy find, great cords. Now off to the nearby hide.
Thanks mate for the cache.

My GPS got me into the general area. Never needed the hint more than here. Thanks ahomburg.
heading up the mountain today( doongalla rd.) I've been waiting to come back here and knock off a few along this road.
I came across lots of walkers, bike riders and picnickers , it was a beautiful morning,
an extremely hard walk,
thanks ahomburg [:x]

My mate was down from Qld so I suggested a hike and introduce him to caching. Walked around in circles then trusted my GPS for a simple find. Thanks ahomburg for the cache.
GPS all over the place as usual among the trees, but only had to check a couple of likely spots before it popped up. The cache was a bit too exposed so I have tucked it away a bit better for muggle prevention.
As a side note, the log book is labeled "Dandenong Meander #95 For The View", not the published name of the cache at this location. Still filled it in though. Thanks for the cache once again ahomburg, I am really enjoying your caches and the places they take me to.

Attempted your multi again tonight, and you've since placed this as a bonus for coming down this track! GPS bouncing around a little but soon settled and cache was found at around 9:10pm. Found on night mountain bike run to pick up a few caches I hadn't yet attempted on this side of the mountain. TFTC
Found on another caching adventure with Trailrunning, Work commitments meant just a short nights caching tonight, we concentrated around the Dandenongs before heading to pick up a couple of Previos DNF's Thanks ahomburg for the cache.
Rebel Acts and I had a few hours to go caching this Monday night, so we picked up a few caches near the Dandenongs and headed to Prahran to pick up a couple we had previously missed. Nice night for caching and a few long walks here and there. A few metres off the path and the cache was found. Thanks
Thanks for putting this one on the way to the multi GZ! I'm getting to know ahomburg DM-type hides so while our phones weren't much help; having done many of your caches led us to the right spot.
Found this one with Hera on our way to the multi GZ. Hera had troubles with her GPS today so we ended up caching by phone. My phone didn't want to play along nicely today so basically, no matter where it was telling me to go, the cache could have been anywhere. Hera did say that as a rule "ahomburg does like the high side of the track" and she was right. Hera found this one while I was still walking in circles.
Putting an extra cache out motivated me to do the nearby multi. It was a gorgeous walk in and, at the junction of Banksia and Ridge tracks, the view of the mountains was breathtaking. It didn't take too long to find the cache, although the clips on this new-fangled container broke some of my stubby fingernails. I took the TB and went on my merry way to complete the multi. And yes, that was me who AWegs saw on the 12 Feb, but we weren't daunted by the terrain at all, it was the fact that I had a grumpy little fella in the back who didn't really fancy walking 900m before school. Don't really blame him. Thanks ahomburg.
After getting home last night and seeing 3 local new caches. From past observations with the cacheing world thought it safe to wait till morning to get a ahomburg FTF.... also after working and cacheing in the hot western plains of Melbourne i was worn out anyway!!!! Being a DM series also knew the terrain would or should be 6+.... At least i know not to get my wife in her wheelchair to attempt these,, well not until i get fitter and not fatter! A FTF so thanks ahomburg for the climb and work out..my ...my legs ..can,t feel my legs..lol NB... as i arrived at starting point another car pulled up with GPS in hand i noticed but saw the start of the terrain and left... YES!!!! Look forward to more of these. Left the best TB for this cache.FAV from me.
