Found by caughtatwork on 01/11/2024 at 10:37:00 AMA easy find after a bit of a stroll back to near the carpark after a series of caches. Track was in good order.Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.*Overall Experience: 3*GAFF1

*Found on the 28 May 2023 @ 2:45 pm.*
*Cache find # 14721.*

Not far but still there was a bit to go, by now the legs had, had enough and we were just wanting to get back to our cars, we made the find and the end was in sight.
I was a great trek and I am glad that I did it but now I need a bit of recovery time.

Our stroll in the hills went for 6 hours & 50 minutes and covered a total of 17.5 kilometres with a total of 974 Ascent metres, it was certainly a big day in the end.

**Thanks to Mudbrick & Jacko83 for placing this cache.**

Out on my Sunday hike, I am glad that it is not far now, as it will have been a 9 hour walk, climb, scramble for the day, but so worth the effort. TFTC.

With strong winds around this morning I decided to put this lot of caches off for another day. I checked the weather forecast a bit later and it said the winds would ease a little. Not wanting to stay home I decided to go for a drive and see what it was like when I got there. There are lots of cars here today so it’s not just me who goes out in this crazy weather!

The walk to GZ was pretty much the same as the Ah Kow track, not as steep but trees down everywhere. Some of them have been cut up but a lot haven’t. I walked around the bigger trunks.

I was clearing out the webs covering the cache when I felt something prick my ankle. I figured it was just a thorn but it started really stinging! I was sure it wasn’t a snake, I hadn’t seen anything slither off but I had to yank my shoe and sock off, it was really, really painful! I ended up with a tiny puncture wound, and found a tiny black spider with red spots. One I haven’t seen before. I performed some first aid on myself as best I could and decided to start heading back to the car slowly, I had an almost 1.5 km walk back.

I made it back safely. There was a donkey not far away from the car so I stopped and had a chat with it. The things we do! TFTC

This one was supposed to a quick easy walk for today's streak find.
13.6 Km and 4 Hrs later the mission was complete.
I got sucked in by the old 'only a k or so to the next one' thing.
Nice easy find here due to always reliable coordinates.
Cache in good condition.
Thanks mudbrick for the placement and Jacko for keeping it going.

A fantastic challenge and walk .
It was a warm day as we took plenty of water . The round trip was about 7 km .
Sadly as I post this log , there is a fire nearby in this area .
I hope all is safe .
Thanks Mudbrick for bringing us here and the cache and the variety of hides .

Not far now was transferred from mudbrick to user Jacko83

Parked at the end of Lohs Lane and departed at 9.30am. With mudbricks accurate co-ords it was an easy find. The cache had only 1 visit last Year. Hope it gets a bit more action this Year. Signed the log at 10.00am. Its humid and the Gods are rumbling off in the distance. The weather radar has them clear of Mt Blackwood. Thanks mudbrick. TFTC. now off to "What a balls up" I wonder what mudbrick has conjured up.

I thought the terrain may have been a little harder so far surprisingly.

Little did I know what was further on.

Great aspects to view on the way.

The cache was a fairly quick find.

Also 189 days of love picked up too.

A day for walking after the festivities of the past days. Sunny, windless and quiet. We enjoyed fitting this in amongst all the sedentary activities of the week.
A quick easy find and a while since anyone was here. All in good nick.
Thanks and cheers!

Firstly apologies for the late logging Muddie.
Found this with Leetalicious, and the two geodogs, Tess, and the rookie, Worf.
Love the opportunities for great walks and clever cache hides so close to home, you never disappoint.
cheers Phil

Cache #15 of 16 found in a big day out, and after almost 19km, "Not far now" was a welcome sign.

I had been wanting to do this hike for some time now and when jacko83 asked me to come along i jumped at the idea. After forming a small group of hikers we were set for a big day. It was a awesome day with great company and with the legendary mudbrick himself to show us the area and to lead the pack with his incredible fitness level that put us all to shame. I absolutely loved this hike with breathtaking views to be seen at all angles and lots of slipping and sliding down hills and scrambling up others.
It was defiantly a awesome day and days later my legs are still suffering but well worth it.
A huge thanks to mudbrick for the cache and to Gordo for the nice cold beer.

The last cache for the day and what a welcome than to have Gordo meet us at the car with a nice cold beer.
What a perfect way to top off a fantastic day.

Found on the last leg of the journey after a good walk and a good yarn.

Now that I have warmed totally into my stride the caches have come to an end and in 2km I will be back where I started.
It still is cool with the early cloud cover which briefly threatened a shower, having now been replaced by patches of blue sky and the promise of some warmth.
I arrived back at the car in about an hour and 50mins and will now head to Square Bottle track after partaking of a few provisions.
A splendid walk and this cache gets a favourite on behalf of the series as a whole. I guess not every cacher will get here but those that do will be richly rewarded for their efforts.
Thanks mudbrick

If the CO suggests that you go for a walk with him you don't hesitate, even if you have a broken toe. So armed with pain killers I set off with muddy.
The weather was perfect for walking.
I didn't have to complete the full circuit as I already had smilies on the other caches. However it felt like I had done the circuit as we walked 22.3Km today. No short cuts taken here.
As usual with muddy, the co-ords were spot on and the description accurate . There was no confusion here.

I usually don't cache on a time restriction, but today was different. I had to get my daughter back to Geelong in time for work ( she had a sleepover in Tarneit), so I would see how many caches I could find this morning. I was determined to get the 7 new caches along these tracks, that's why I'm wearing my headlamp. I got here at 6am, the sun isn't even up yet !! A peaceful walk through a dark bush setting, that's a first for me. Found no probs. TFTC mudbrick. Big Grin

mudbrick is going to turn up at the awards ceremony next week and wonder why he has not won with.
Storm in a C cup.
Sorry.
This banana forgot to put in any nominations.
Just forgot.
And when I went to find some other treasures for nomination it was found that nominations had closed.
Bummer.

But the quality of treasure here is at least going to get you a few favourites.
Hope that makes up a little
Thanks
