We will be leaving very soon to attend the Red Centre Experience Event being held in Alice Springs and have decided we would try to make that event a milestone ... the only problem is we are a few hundred caches short This was the perfect excuse for a quick road trip through Nanango/Murgon/Kingaroy The weather was a little rainy, but surprisingly we remained relatively dry during the day with the worst of the rain occurring while we camped overnight [^]
We managed to locate this cache easily and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our journey.
Thank you GeckoSpit for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Staying in Kingaroy for some much needed RnR over the next few days.
Time to take care of those outstanding smiley faces on our map.
It is great to see this little town now getting more & more caches.
Just catching up on some logs and seen this one archived.
Cache was found no problems.

Not aware this was disabled, hint is good, obvious spot to look, quick find of eclipse tin with no problems, therefore claiming a find. Nice little pond with purple water lilies in bloom..
This has been muggled before.
I will have a look.
Probably try to remake and move location a bit.
Keep an eye on the logs

We decided to head off for a couple of days in the caravan and do some caching while our non geocaching friends were red clawing on the Bjelke Peterson Dam. We loved the rural countryside we encountered and while we were on our rounds we did maintenance as we went given that we were there at gz and sometimes it is not so easy for the owner to attend. Thanks to GeckoSpit for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the location.
Had the whole park to ourselves. Not a muggle in sight. Had thorough search but no luck.
Will keep watching.

We looked and looked but it was just too wet that day to go on hand and knees. Will watch this cache, for our next time in Murgon, where we spent a lovely time .... despite rainy weather. The locals were happy.
Very clever, our GPS was a bit out but found it with the hint. Lovely area around here TFTC
[red]We spent quite some time here at around 1:20:00 PM, but the muggles sitting on the edge of the garden bed wouldn't move away, so a DNF from us - - - not stating it's not there... just that we couldn't spot it.

On our last day in Wondai we decided to go out for a caching run to Murgon and had a very successful day with a haul of 11 caches and a great lunch at the Murgon RSL. Thanks to the COs for the hides.
Found the exact location but unfortunately couldn't retrieve it as a muggle was sitting in the exact spot enjoying a bottle of wine.
Spending a few days up in the Kingaroy and Nanango districts and places closeby from my place in Brisbane. Due to the number of caches found, I have decided to do a generic log. To all the CO's, a big thank you for bringing us to your area and the many varied caches we found. Thank you for bringing us along the country road. TFTC
Having another annual caching trip to Nanango and Kingaroy with Richmond Lad. Last year we thought we had found most of them but some wonderful COs keep putting out more to entice us back to this lovely region of Queensland. We have driven along quiet , gum tree lined country roads, spotted some peaceful waterways and are becoming experts at stumps!!! Thank you to all the COs who have caches in this area - you are all doing a wonderful job creating, placing and maintaining your hides.
Widened our search area and it was soon spotted.

Lovely little park, and a few lilies open. Gave it a fav, thanks for bringing us here. Found it, TFTC
We spotted a muggle sitting on a bench as we neared GZ but fortunately he was a little way away and there was a bush between him and us so we could still search. A nicely camoed cache. TFTC.
It was a beautiful day driving around the area. The sun was shinning, the birds were chirping and we had a day off work
Was a lovely walk to this one. So many lilies [:o]
Thanks for bringing us here GeckoSpit

Todays we headed south from Murgon, then we finished the last few caches still unfound in the town area.
This has been a great week visiting all these small towns, finding well maitained caches. A credit to all the local cachers. Thanks for making our time here memorable.
This cache was only seven meters out. Read the log from Youngold fella for a hint.

Gotcha !!! A few caches on the way to Stanthorpe for the Mega. TFTC I've included the co-ords that worked for us today.
Five out of five today - wanting to pick the last few around Murgon that I have not done yet. Today is the day.
once read YOF's clue, it was another find.
Thanks gekospit for another great hide .
Wombat the Anthus laptop Geocoin visited, as did Runciple's Grasshopper, a tassie trekkers pathtag, a sweet - sour pathtag, a grannysmith path tag, a dolphin, a broken heart and geo achievement 500 caches award, oh, and a bundle of keyrings that I have collected since caching in WA in August 2013 (current count is 23)

Number four of six for this trip. The 6 new ones in the Wondai and Murgon areas were published on one of my work days. Today is day one off of three and I had a plan. Left Nanango at 0540 and arrived home at 0835 and driving in a big loop of 134Klm. Arrived close to GZ and parked off road near the vets car park. Followed GPSr arrow in direction of GZ and saw the big garden bed with the edging. Walked down the northern side and saw something that looks like it is supposed to be there but to a geocacher a little suspicious. Yes the host of the cache container. Quick find for me but the co ordinates are slightly off but not that far that you have to spend a lot of time searching as the fact that no DNF's have been posted proves. Good hide, clever construction. TFTC GeckoSpit.
Out and about with Robbie4121, GrannySmith1947 and GeoMum. This was cache number 12 for the day. Left home at about 12pm and finished at 7pm. Took Nothing left Nothing. TFTC GeckoSpit.
Had a great day geocaching with GrannySmith1947 and Purple_Ninja_00. This was my first time geocaching with other geocachers. This was my 8th cache for the day.

*FTF* @ 1620 and #53 FTF.
There is no better way of starting off an afternoon's caching than a 3 FTF's first up [^]
[^] 6 new caches released @1130. At the time I had the GPS's plugged into the computer, just a matter of downloading them. I do hope YOF drew duty today.
for YOF you had to work today
A excellent hide, took awhile to find.
The co-ords were a bit out, I've posted those that worked for me today.
Initially, I had let Midnight run free, he spotted a muggle dog over the back fence and wanted to play, the muggle dog was making too much noise, had to retreat back to the geocar to extract Midnight's lead.
Midnight even enjoyed the hunt might have to reboot his GPS, he took off the wrong way
One day he will get the idea of finding the cache first before chasing rabbits scents [:o)]
