Needs sorting out. We came here for this cache as it has a gem for the museum but after a fifteen minute search getting dirty, with gloves on and tools we figured it’s not here as we checked incase it has been pushed out of reach or buried. This needs checking on. Thanks anyway and glad we came just for a nice walk around the park.
Staying in the area as we were eating out later, this looked like a nice little park to pick up a few caches.
This was the first one we tried, found the hint item and looked very all over it and under it, but this one eluded us, we hope it hasn't gone.

Used to love coming here for the children to ride the train when they were small. An additional sculpture adds to the charm. Cache was all fine. TFTC
Filling in time before it got dark enough to do some night caches Jag50, Aiden29 and I headed here. Luckily there was still some light here. This is such an amazing place, and we all wish we can visit again while the train is operating! This did take a couple of looks to finally locate the well hidden cache.
Killing time till it got dark enough for a local night cache and we came here. It was all shut up but would be way cool fun to come back again during the day. Maybe next time with our Grand kids. It took a couple of inspections to spot the cache. Made us think of peanuts.
A peanut sat on a railroad track,
His heart was all a-flutter.
The five-fifteen came rushing by--
Toot toot! Peanut butter!

There was no one around this evening as the sun was just going down as we made our way through this very cool park. I'm a big kid at heart so would love to go for a ride on the train. It took a couple of looks before we found the cache
Busy place today with lots of trains running. Grabbed this one between trains. Was sitting out in the open so replaced in a bit more sheltered place. No pen with me so photo sent to co.
A quick easy find with markhnz, hannahhnz and hollyhnz on a short walk from where we were staying in Havelock North. No trains running today, so our granddaughters took the opportunity to walk through the nearby tunnel. TFTC
We came to this cache from the cemetery. At first we weren't sure that we could get across the valley to the gardens, but then I found a track that went down into the valley and there was a track going up the other side too.
Then we followed the train tracks around to the cache. After finding the cache hollyhnz made us walk through a tunnel. Then we headed off to try out the nearby playground.
Nice place for a cache. Easily found by hannahhnz.
Thanks.

I haven't been caching much over the past couple of months, as I have slowed down after my hectic first caching year, so was well overdue a big trip somewhere. After waking up cold at 6am this morning, I decided that today would be the day and Hawke's Bay would be the place.
After gathering up a few supplies and lunch, I was on the road just a dawn was breaking. After collecting a few caches on the weird & wacky trail, I decided to head towards Te Mata Peak. Pulled in here and discovered the railway - what an excellent railway for Havelock North - it looks like it is such fun, I'll have to remember it for when my nieces are here at Christmas. No rides today, but the volunteers were out in force performing some maintenance.
Made my way to the GZ and the cache was quickly found. TFTC

Found with miss 7 while miss 9 is at art lessons. A cute train set up that all local kids love. Off to the playground to fill in some more time. Tftc
Loved the adventure and used the clue to locate. Brilliant fun with no muggles about ...thanks!
Starting the new year as the way we mean to carry on with a bit of geocaching. Nice uphill workout walk from the in-laws to mop up any caches since our last visit to the Bay.
tftc. Nice ramble as we approached from the wrong direction. Fun day out for all the kids.
Very quiet around here today. Saw some muggles around the entrance, but none while we were walking around the area. Wasn't sure if we were meant to be here but the cache was a quick find.

Had to go back for a second look and finally found it in a container we thought was rubbish!
We did a circuit here picking up a few smileys in this area.
We can see why you said NOT to look during operation hours
Took a bit more of a look than expected but got there in the end.
Have to plan next visit when this is running, looks really neat !
Cache and log in good nick.
Cheers bchefj&p

Awesome... Kids loved finding this and showing cousins how it all works... No trolls today
What a beautiful place to visit! We never knew it was here. Such an awesome place. We had no trouble finding the cache, with good GPS and a cool clue. TFTC!
This time there was a cache on the end of the nylon yahoo. Enjoyed train rides on father s day! !!
lol telling every one that it's still here.... Haven't even logged it myself!
Lucky there were no trains running today ! Found quickly and dropped of a trade. Container is not secured with the nylon anymore. GPs great !
Have to come back for this one. Looked for ages but couldn't see it, then it started raining.
We might have to try and time another HB visit more carefully, as this looks like a really cool track with all the bridges, viaducts and tunnels. It would be fabulous to have a ride next time. TFTC
Fun walk to cache in the rain and dark.
Soon found the container at site.
Didn't have to worry about and trains tonight.

On a road trip with tmann421 to the Hawkes Bay.
Found this one at night and it the rain. Very exciting! I'm sure it must look amazing with all the trains during the day. Will have to come back again one day.

Nice find. Used to be a member of this club when I lived here. Nice to come back and ride the trains and find some caches. Fun fact: this area used to be called Jan's Log, because the bridge was built upon an old wooden pile from the Napier port donated by Jan Raudon, a tug boat skipper who was a member of this club. He has since passed on, and the old pile has rotten away, but we still fondly remember him and his contribution to the club.
A little searching and was rewarded nicely, glad no trains were running today.

Our GPS was not pointing to the right hiding spot, we used the clue to find this cache. Cache looked like it had been attached to something but it no longer is. Replaced back exactly as found. TFTC
