DNF Another cache that has not been restored. Such a shame. Still a beaut morning for a stroll.
I hadn't checked recent logs when I came down to this spot just after dark. I absolutely adore lighted fountains, so I didn't mind that, like many before me, I did not come up with the cache. Thanks for the listing anyway
A lot of DNFs for this geocache just recently.
Would the cache owner please check and confirm it is at the specified co-ordinates.
Thanks.

not sure it’s still there?
Thoroughly searched both obvious possibilities and nothing.

Neither bench is near the posted coordinates. Picked the closest one but couldn’t check thoroughly due to muggles.
I tried for this one solo before the nearby Australia Day event, then with lots of help after. No joy today, though...
Sadly despite running back, forth, here and there to accommodate any inaccuracies in the GPS we did not find it according to the hint. With dcdawn and goffyoffy.
Found on a cross country hunting mission! Big thanks to Kevin and Anne Read for the relaxing place to sit. Cache paper was full so did not get to do anything but a star. Cache needs new paper. Put it back. It was very cute! TFTC
Found on second attempt on way back to the car. Was tricky as technically not in the right place as described in the hint.
In town on business until tomorrow midday so figured I'd better get out of my motel room and get some dinner and exploring in which bought me here. Great spot for a cache! Cheers
Our Garmin GPS had this cash up to 20 m from the co-ordinate. But with two to choose from it didn't take long to locate.tftc
A lovely warm sunny day to be visiting Napier from our cruise ship, Holland America's Noordam. Come in to see the art deco post 1931 restoration but also for some geocaches to take me to interesting sights. QEF here, TFTC #1097.

Kids splashing in the fountain pool so I thought I'd find this one.
Log full.

This fountain is gorgeous at night. Hayleyfcy was busy taking some pictures when I turned the light on my phone on. The first place I looked and the cache was staring me right in the eyes. What luck! Thanks.
Free shower on a windy day! Haha glad the cache wasn't in the spraying direction. The fountain is beautiful at night! Easy find, tftc
My GPS showed a different place (about 15 meters away), but the hint was clear enough to have a quick find. TFTC!
Quick and easy find even though the co-ords quite a way off. Found by Mycro Man. Thanks for the cache.

Found during a brief stop on the way home after our camping trip to Tolaga Bay. Quick find for the Geofamily. TFTC
I really wanted to stop and see Phania of the Reef. Mummy (aka Mrs JY) said there was a cache nearby so we went looking. TFTC
Quick find while visiting Phania of the Reef at the request of Theosaurus. The rain was closing in fast so there weren't may muggles around. TFTC
At broad daylight the fountain didn’t look very special: a massive foundation and thin springs of water. So the most fun were the children playing in the water.
The cache was also difficult, despite the hint. Nanos in the shadows are hard to spot ... but I found it.
Thanks and best wishes from Germany!
P.S. really beautiful girl besides the fountain!

Cruise ship lots of muggles but all too busy enjoying the sun and sights to take any notice of us. TFTC
Took a last evening walk in Napier and manage to log this even with a lot of curious eyes

Didn't take too long to find despite the coordinates being out a bit. Another beautiful day in Napier.
Found with Mum as 'Jess & Caro'. She is now Carø and I now have my own geocaching profile so we are sorting my logs for caches we found together. TFTC!
We are staying in Napier for a week in the middle of our two weeks over from Aus, catching up with family and friends and doing a bit of sight-seeing. Today I have my Mum and nephew and we are off to find a couple of caches and see a few of the sights in Napier. As the day went on we had lunch together and found several caches together and then dropped mum home for a snooze and the three of us set of and found a stack more caches. I think we have converted Jess's cousin, there was some frivolity, healthy competition, and a lot of laughs and chat all day.
A sneaky hide found far too quickly by MooMoo... I'm going to have to kidnap this nephew of mine as he seems to have an amazing nack for finding itzy bitzy caches.
Thanks for the cache, nickhbnz!

After we had some nice dinner (and beer) at The Rose pup we decided to stroll along the promenade. Of course not without logging some caches on the way. This was the first one and a bit tricky. Koords a bit off...TFTC
We had the same issue with the coords, but there were only a couple of places to look. Finally found it by feel. TFTC
Hot day today so had an audience of kids swimming in the fountain (who could not have cared less about our shenanigans!) T FTC
I found this cache along with a small group of secondary school students (SJCgeocamp) who were finding Geocaches as part of their camp week. They visited Huka falls, Taupo, Napier, Hastings and Te Mata Peak over four days. We went swimming hiking, and biking and found a wide range of geocaches ranging from traditionals, puzzles, Earthcaches, gadget caches, and the boys favorites-night caches. My hope is that because of their experience they decide to continue Geocaching as a hobby in the future. Thank you to all the CO’s who placed and maintained all the geocaches we found and for bringing us to so many interesting spots.
We found this one while enjoying a bike ride along the esplanade. We hired the bikes from Bikefish then biked up to the sundial and then collected caches on our way back. The weather was awesome which made for a really nice afternoon.

A bit behind with the logging - on a 3 day caching adventure with rustynz and gorby
We came here looking for a cache and I found Pania with the dubious boobs. I found a website that said her boobs were dubious but upon looking closely I could find no fault! The cache I could find fault since it was way of the co-ords, but whose complaining? There was an obvious clue and that's where we found it.
Followed the GPS to GZ, and went ... hmmm?
Retraced my steps to the hint item, and soon had the cache in hand. Love it when that happens
Got to explore a little with rebel98 and gorby, part of the Westie crew, racing around Napier. Made time to check out the Fountain, Pania of the Reef, and the Pier to somewhere?

We had made up a group of 7 Westies and flown down to Napier for a few days of caching. With Merlot58 and Aiden29 we soon had this cache located.
Exploring the town with Merlot58 and Jag50. This one was a bit further out than our GPS said, but found it nonetheless in a suitable location.
Co-ords had us on the steps going down to the beach, but after viewing the hint we expanded our search and came up with the cache
Found on the ground, in a spot that fitted the hint but was 17-20m out by our GPS (put back in place according to the hint). Thanks for the placement, always a nice place to visit.
Found as part of our Labour Weekend Geocaching Adventure with Furbies, lillianz, PhantasmNZ & Mrs PhantasmNZ. Log signed as "PFLL17".
We had no luck with this one at first, but then noticed it had been found previously today so decided we had better persevere - went back to have another look, and luckily Furbies managed to find the cache
Logging as 22/10 as as we watched the fountain turn off at midnight (sad because we were enjoying seeing the coloured lights!).

This was a night mission for us. It's a weekend down in Napier from Auckland. I haven't been here for about 15 years and it's looking stunning. My GPS had me off track. When using the hint it was straightforward. Not easy in the dark though
After a lovely day wandering around Napier we decided to have an evening stroll along the water, all the way to the marina. We stopped to look at the fountain and nearby statue and I figured an area like this had to have a cache hidden there. After a quick check there was, so we had a quick search. Moments later we had the cache in hand. The log book had no room in it though and I ended up writing my name in a space where the log was so faded it was just a blur. TFTC #752
I had brought my gummies and an umbrella so I was ready to brave the water, after waiting for some muggles turns out I no long need these items.. so off to gz I go log is chocka and needs replacing asap, signed my name around number 6 to try and fit it in thanks for the placement I think with it being so cold this made a nice easy find
I agree coords out, but easy find with hint. Log full so had to sign(abbr.) on title area. TFTC.
In Napier to hold a black tie dinner last night for work. Out and about early this morning, given the lateness of the hour that I got to bed and feeling reasonably ok, so I decided to do a bit of caching on the way home.
This one was right next to last night's venue and as I had a stack of equipment to pick up this morning, it was just begging to be collected. Despite the corrdinates being off, there was really only one place the cache could be, so it was a quick find.
However, the log book is full and I couldn't sign it. CO might want to check it out, replace the log and tighten up the coordinates. TFTC

Found on a little night time caching walk. Useful to have read other logs. TFTC
#9251. We went to the Beach Domain in Napier for a walk after dinner. Huge waves were pounding the shore. The Tom Parker Fountain was all lit up, but not playing when we visited. GZ was pretty quiet at this time. Found after a bit of searching, at some 16 metres away. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. The log book was however full, but we managed to squeeze in our initials in some white space. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Well this was very frustrating, no seat within 15m of GZ, so searched all seats within a 50m radius and came up empty handed
Not wanting to give up, I returned on the way back to the car, and there she was. GPS said GZ was 18m away. The log is full too. TFTC
Lots of frustration with this one - see zboywonder's logs!
Finally got to make the find.
Cache could do with some maintenance, e.g. update the coordinates, replace the over full log and so on. But a great place to bring the visiting cacher to.
All in order, log signed, cache safely re-hidden, just as found.
I visited here with the boywonder, z that is.
