Had a blast of a night as it's always great to catch up with everyone at a social event. Thanks Na'wal for organising this event, you always do a great job and we always enjoy your variety of FTF's.

We have been looking forward to this 2nd Birthday event for a few months. Plenty of planning and some help saw this event have over 40 people attend. Some new faces and great conversations once again.

Happy birthday to us! Thank you Na'wal for bringing us together today and for the generous prizes; to the buzzsmc family for the cup cakes, and to Dog-onit for initiating the fb group in the first place - as well as for using it to regularly send out timely reminders for these events!
As always, it has been a fantastic opportunity to catch up with friends and to match another few names to faces. Great to be out with such a lot of great people!

Have been looking forward to this event as I attended last year's event and was keen to make it two from two. Arrived to find a large crowd already assembled. Grabbed a seat and a drink and got down to some serious catching up.
Once again, another great event organised with teams from all over and lots of fun, good food and cupcakes !

Arrived here after a quick changes of clothes from paddling along Werribee river.

Stayed till the end for a nice dinner and chat with friends. Always hard to make the rounds and say hi to everyone however eitherway had a great time! Plans in place and future events perhaps. Thanks for organizing this and thanks Scott for the cupcake.

Mary & David were there. We love this social side of caching, and we're lucky enough to be able to enjoy Ballarat, Geelong and Melbourne occasions, and often further away. Quite a few years since we were here, and definitely not too far from home. Great food, great drinks and great company! Thoroughly enjoyed catching up with old friends, and meeting some of the new teams. Just delighted to win a bottle of wine , and thanks to for delicious cup cakes. A most enjoyable birthday celebration, and we appreciated all the work put in by Na'wal. Looking forward to the 3rd birthday next year. Our thanks to Na'wal.

Happy Birthday Geelong Geocaching, and thanks Na'wal for hosting a wonderful night. Having travelled down by train earlier in the day it gave me time for a walk down to The Almost Secret Garden which, was not only a delightful little bit of paradise in the vicinity, it also meant I won a bottle of red at the event for finding the nearest cache in the vicinity today.
It was beaut to catch up with old friends and meet new, especially our visitors from Canberra.
The birthday cupcakes were delicious as was the meal, both come highly recommended from me.
A special thanks for the Tritonz who hosted me for the evening.

Don't you hate it after writing a log and pushing the button only to find out after that it did not go through!!!!
I thought I would be interstate and not be able to attend but things changed and I was able to be in attendance and I am glad that it happened as it was a great night and very well organised by our host tonight and every body enjoyed themselves because of the noise level. Food ,drinks, and the company all first class, and the ideas of sorting out the FTF was a great idea.
There would have to be some happy cachers who will be enjoying a glass of white or red soon and we cannot forget to say a big thank you for the cup cakes.
A first class event.

We travelled here with micaparamedic grabbing a few caches along the way but as the sun was setting the temperature was dropping we decided to arrive early and have a warm up before the proceedings began, it seems we were not alone in that idea.

It didn’t take long before every one was seated and the games began, great idea for first to find and a fantastic prize as well.

As always we enjoyed catching up and sharing tales with like minded people. The evening passed quickly and the cup cakes were a perfect way to say happy birthday.

Many thanks Na’wal and everyone concerned for all your effort.

On a bit of a road trip this weekend to knock over some of Victorias LGA's.

2 days, 1200+Km, 1 event attended, 19 caches found, 1 DNF and 8 LGA's put to bed

As it turned out I was going to be in the area when this event was on so I called for in and meet some new faces and also some faces I already knew.

Great to see lots of geocaching folks enjoying time together to celebrate this milestone.
It is always pleasant to catch up with cachers from various locations and to have a chat and exchange stories, happenings and those unusual moments that we have from time to time when out geocaching!

I intend to be in Melbourne on Saturday, is there any public transport from the City to this Hotel? Is it too late to accept if there is? I need to know as soon as possible as I would need to arrange accommodation at the same hotel if possible. Thanks

A late change of plans means that we will now be in Geelong on Saturday evening, is there room for two more.? If not we will just drop in and say hello.

Yes there are trains to Lara from Melbourne. Take the Geelong bound train.
The hotel is very near the railway station.
I suggest that you if your on FB, and part of Geelong District FB group , that you ask for a lift from someone coming from Melbourne. A lot of people are more than willing to help each other out.
