Found It!The coordinates are a bit out here. After searching on the wrong side of the road for a bit, I tried the other side and soon found the cache.TFTC
Out & about caching today. Bit of a short look as the coordinates were off & had us looking in the opposite direction to where the cache was found. TFTC
Reperio 17:30We headed towards Nathalia today, and managed to stop by a few caches along the way. We took a little detour to Bearii and grabbed a few caches here. This one was quickly spotted, but it was great talking to the kids about the significance of the tree.Gratias mymanandiAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
Found with LittleBoss2 on our way to Echuca from a night in Yarra. Took a while before we spotted the right tree. Thanks again mymanandi
Found with Bogonghazy. Away for a couple of days and enjoying our caching. Thanks for placing the geocache
Whilst up in Shepparton for the kings birthday long weekend, we decided to knock off some local caches on our way home, but who needs a reason to visit this beautiful place
Great peice of history

dad and I found the geocache, great hiding place! To know the history of the flood is incredible and how high it went!
On a road trip with my favourite ally dalerious and we were heading for Echuca via Cobram and this little place, to which l could not pronounce the name correctly. So dalerious advised me anyway. I said Bare i, he said Beer i. Anyway, whichever way you pronounce it, it is a cute place, and we are glad to be able to grab some caches here. All but one which was definitely not there. What a shame. Thank you mymanandi for providing and maintaining these caches.
On the road with catnap777 on a lazy Saturday and we hit up Bearii for whatever caches we could glean from this tiny town. We left with a bagful of finds including this one.
Our GPS led us just a little away from GZ but the point of interest was an intreaging beacon to lead us to our prize.
Thanks mymanandi for your contribution to this amazing passtime and our favourite game. [^] You have single-handedly put the budding metropolis of Bearii on the geocaching map.

Almost gave up on this one and had to resort to past logs. "A beautiful tree?" Gps no help, something odd in this spot? Hmmm, ah, there it is. Thanks for the cache.
Geocache. Sanitise. Repeat.
Out exploring the area with frmen1.
Gps x 2 were spinning and spinning. After about 10mins, it settled on 15m away onto private land that was on opposite side of road to where gz turned out to be. Once geosenses were used instead of gps, found quickly. TFTC

This cache is just a few dirt roads away from our camp at Ulupna island. Took a short drive to make the find.
Thanks mymanandi for the cache.
Thanks mymanandi for the cache.
Found on my last day in Tocumwal. This was a quick find in a quiet country area. My GPS had me some 17M's away but the clue in the description allowed me to nail it very quickly TFTC.
Just touring around a small patch of Northern Victoria with BettyBoo3747.
It is hard to imagine water up to there in such flat country.
Hard to make sense of the markings, but a great bit of history.
Thanks, Robmc.

#17018. Robmc and I are just having one night away with the new camper. Not sure where we will end the day but finding a few caches along the way.
I do enjoy caches like this, that bring us to a significant piece of history. I couldn't make out what these ancient letters were but I did note that the tree was encroaching on the outer letters. I tried to find out more on Mr Google but have not been able to. That is a shame. It certainly is hard to imagine the area being under water to this height.
I found the cache while Rob was searching on the other side. His GPSr was reading at 9 metres when he came over to GZ.
Thanks mymanandi

This one had a gazumoed for a bit, but geohubby fond it. Cheers & thanks for the flood info
After a bit of searching we found the cammo geo. Co Ords put us about 12 meters off course but the find was in the name.
Found on a Clarmensma Family trip to Cobram/Barooga for the holidays. Sorry for the super late logging! TFTC
Interesting details attached to this one. Thanks for sharing.
Our regular school holiday Team Clarmensma overnight trip is upon us again, this time heading north to Cobram, Barooga area. With both days over 40, we broke up our caching with lots of swimming, frozen cokes and icy poles.
A really fun day had tripping around. TFTC

What a great piece of history here. Floods are amazingly scary!
School holidays meant it was time for Team Clarmensma to reform. This consisted of myself; becca85 and our 4 geokids (AdamSistema, LukeSistema, neisha07, boo09). This time we hit the Murray and cached our way from Ballarat/Maryborough to Cobram/Barooga (where we stayed the night) and then back through Tocumwal, Numurkah, Shepparton and Bendigo. We had a fabulous couple of days in VERY hot weather so stopped for lots of swims and water fun. Many thanks for the cache. Very much appreciate you placing for us to find.

In Renmark for a family holiday for the week and having the opportunity to grab a few finds with Snap Happy and Happy pant. Up early and today we decided to grab some of the caches up near the South Australia and North Victorian borders, which might require a bit of a walk or 4WD to grab. We discovered some good hides and had no DNF's. As always, there was plenty of laughs and fun had, along the way.
Initially looking on the wrong side of the road but then spotted what we needed. Hard to believe that the water was so high and how much of the land would have been under water.
Thanks mymanandi for placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play. Really enjoyed the history.

Fav for effort.
Apology for generic log. With approx 70 Caches to log and not recalling details of many, the most important point I must stress is................. THANKS ALL CACHE OWNERS for their efforts, because if not for you, so many wonderful places would not have been encountered to appreciate. Our fantastic time would not have been either.
Happy Feet 1 and I had a wonderful 3 days (Oct 5-7) cache trekking around the Murray Region from Howlong to almost Barmah.
HF1 with her skills, dedication, and helpful retrieving devices made a significant addition to my cache tally.
I felt like a circus act a few times.
Despite us both having a conflicting trait or two, we thoroughly enjoyed each others company and had quite the success we were aiming for.
Even catching out a member not being truthful or honest to himself or others in regards to caching etiquette.
The period of camping certainly helped in defining all the areas of my camping vehicle that needed modifying or improving upon. Having the annex fall upon my companion was not something I was proud of. Pheeew!! No harm done.
Again, thanks to CO's.

Pa swooped in for the find this time, with geokid Nicky taking second.
Thanks heaps mymanandi!

In a group of 7 cachers you don't get too many individual finds, but l heeded the description and looked for a suitable tree and then watched the other 6 run here and there until l couldn't contain myself and blurted out the famous words. The 6 spooks then blamed the coordinates while l pointed to the description. Thanks for my moment of triumph.
I have visited GC and all is as should be. Coordinates got me to the flood tree and cache.
Some roadworks have been done recently but cache is still at correct location. Cache now enabled.

Once we realised we were on the wrong side of the road, it was an instant find.
Having a few days at nearby horse camp, time to duck out check out the local sites via geocaching, always one of the things we love about caching. We had been discussiong the floods the night before so this was a very interesting tree for us. Tftc
Such an interesting cache and hard to believe. Really enjoyed this one. TFTC
#3043 Mr BGF just happened to be around the corner from gz today for a work. On the way out this cache was targeted and after reading some previous logs it was clear the search area needed to be expanded and the cache was eventually found on the opposite side of the road to where the coords were pointing. Nice and quiet along this country lane today so walking around in circles and crossing the road back a forth a few times wasn't an issue . Amazing to think the floodwaters were so high through here, TFTC mymanandi.
Just after logging and leaving this cache, we spotted this cute little fellow, so keep your eyes open when visiting here.
Out n about with AESPL. After a lot of reading n searching it finally dawned on me something was out of place. Should have read the clue. Definately not at GZ. TFTC.

Our GZ today was some14m away from where the cache is located. We note other logs also remarking about the accuracy of the co-ordinates.
Perhaps it's time for the CO to do a maintenaince visit and check the co-ords please?

Perfect weather for caching to the east of Echuca, in the very good company of the Suscoe duo. We found a variety of caches, learnt a little more local history and visited places we would not have seen were it not for the geo-game.
Satellites today had our GZ 14 metres SW of where we found the cache.
Thanks mymanandi for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Suscoe and Phetlern headed out nice and early today for a terrific day of caching in this area of the state.
It was a magical Spring day, so much sun, a few clouds, a gentle breeze and great company to be with as we headed around the roads.
We had done our preparation, planning the order of caches, sorting out puzzles and printing the multi pages.
Lunch on the road and fair weather, caches to find: what else could you ask for.
Thanks to mymanandi for this hide, how interesting and this is what makes geocaching such a fascinating thing to do.
A favourite from us.
Thanks.

We took a little while to find this one, as the coords had us 13m away. Finally it was found by looking in the obvious spot. Thanks for an interesting piece of history we would never have found apart from caching.
Having seen on FB recently that there was a new geocacher near by (well an hour away is nearby ) I arranged yesterday to pick her up today and go caching [^]
This ended up being my biggest caching day for almost 6 months with a total of 4 DNFs and 47 finds between about 10.45am and 12.30am the following morning [)]
The patient and cheerful Sewrainbow was fantastic company and despite already being ill, having only been in Victoria a few days and not quite being acclimated to the cooler weather, she hung on like a trooper and even timed how long each of our DNFs had been searched for Did I really spend 3/4s an hour looking for one of them[?]
A very interesting tree and the4 amount fo water would have been amazing to see, as well as scary and uncomfortable!

Secondvisit so was pleased it was a QuickFind today. Thanks for the placement. The height of the flood was a bit frightening. Log signed and cache put back as found
Easy find for us today good place for a cache with a interesting tree.

DNF unfortunately - GPS had us in a couple of different directions, reading logs had us in yet another and the cold weather and impending dark had us heading home empty handed - bummer - will try again another day.
Up for the weekend at Numurkah with Flaggy's and DreamyDragon. Found in the night. Which was a challenge because gz coords were a good 10m off at the wrong tree. Would have been way easier in daylight. Hard to imagine water up that high. Tftc.
A quick and easy drive by while we were in the area. A flood to that height sure would have covered a heck of a lot of ground in this country. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
What a beautiful tree and very much still alive for us to admire. Not sure if the cache is supposed to be where we found it, because we seemed to be some metres from GZ according to our GPS. SL at 6.30pm #3375 TFTC mymanandi - it is amazing how high floods can rise in this very flat part of Victoria.
