Drove up from Sydney for the Kids to visit some friends, yay I had a couple of hours free to make a few finds. Having a go at this puzzle yesterday I wasnt getting anything, reached out to the CO who was quick with some help, oh a good one to remember. With corrected coords at the GZ I made a swift find, weekend is a good time. And.. Id already had lunch! Thanks for placing this cache Mr&MrsFish #2929

Find#1414
Solved this puzzle after I had solved another puzzle about pi and felt some confidence with the tool I was using. Today came and made a quick find with good coordinates and a good hint. Log and cache in good condition. TFTC

Finally got it! This simple puzzle had me doing all sorts of unnecessary maths for such a long time. Had to get a hint to help me out and came out today to make a very quick find. Thanks!!

Puzzle solved prior to arriving in Aussie, but as brother lived close by I thought there was a chance we would be near, as we were today. Quick drive into a park nearby and a nice discrete find by i_halfpint. All good here TFTC.

21-Nov-22
Solved the puzzle yesterday, and found the cache after doing a first aid course across the road today.

13-Aug-22
Found on a busy Saturday morning. Cache needed some swaps so left a bottle of dreams. Tftc.

08-Jul-22
We were doing similar activities in Maths class at school so the puzzle was a quick one for us.

Came to get the cache on a very drizzly day, so the muggle quotient was down low thankfully. Managed to pull the geomobile up close to GZ, which was not were we guessed from our comfy seat at the pie shop, and Mum made a quick find.

Thanks for the Cache!

Out on the trail, and wanting a park & grab. This was closest to work, with lots out on all those ridges, but not in weather like today. I think a friend may have helped, but i just solved it anyway. It was quite busy today, and i think the best park is right next door. Would provide great cover. Had to wait out a lady parked just over there, so went and had a pie. She was till there after eating it, but someone else had parked right next door, so i was covered from that angle. Whilst waiting, i peeked at the clue, and noticed it was a Mr & Mrs Fish cache. I did not think i had done one before, and on returning home and logging, i looked it up, and this is their only cache. I am sorry to say, but the attachment device has come adrift, and the logbook is saturated, so i scratched a date and initials into the cover. prob be the green smudge. TFTC.

08-May-22
Way too wet to sign and had a slug on it. TFTC

11-Apr-22
It’s our first cache and we think it might have been too tricky for us newbies to decipher!

22-Dec-21
Sent up for a job at Terrigal for the day meant I could actually collect some of these that I solved upon at publishing.
Parked opposite and a quick find, thanks Mr&Mrs Fish

After getting the proper coords, I set off to grab this cache. Nice hide. Celebrated with a pie for morning tea. Very nice. TFTC Mr & Mrs Fish.

Way back on Pi day 6 years ago, this was a DNF, with just a decoy found. Driving past today, I swung in to see if my luck had changed and made a very quick find. Some things improve with age. Thanks Mr&MrsFish.

When I finally got around to looking at this puzzle, it was rather easily solved.
Then at GZ it was a quick find. TFTC

I frequently come up to the Central Coast from Sydney, except not last year.
While I was at home not visiting the Central Coast I looked at puzzles up here so when I did return I'd have more caches to find.
This puzzle was in an area I regularly pass so I checked it out.

Puzzles - sometimes you have absolutely no idea what its about or how to start and sometimes you see something you just know.
This was type 2.
So when I found this puzzle I quickly had the solution. That was months and months ago, I'm not even such how long ago, but today I was visiting friends in Holgate this morning and someone else in Erina this arvo. Perfect!

So I pulled into the parking lot and fired up the GPS with the GZ co-ords. I wasn't far away and walked over carefully and stealthily checking the vehicles nearby. All clear!
Quickly had CIH, SL and rehid the cache before any muggles came near.
Very pleased to make another find on my travels through the Central Coast!

Shopping for a new mattress nearby we decided to tackle this one. We sat outside the pie place as we worked out where to go. Found, signed and replaced as stealthily as we could. Thanks Smile

We were a bit dumb working this one out, took quite awhile! Finally, GeoDad found the direction we needed to work in and we had the new co-ords . Then we had tricky bit of working out how to put said co-ords into the Etrex, *sigh. Finally, BINGO ... signed, dated and replaced. Thanks for the mind stretch!

25-Feb-20
Found with small high school group! Thanks for the hide!

Great concept for a cache. Really enjoyed it. Found with GeoJess, GI-George and the Goonie01 on a Sunday afternoon which is definitely the best low Muggle time period to attempt this find. TFTC !

Mr S had solved this one a while ago, and we were able to make the find today and claim just over 11 unfound months. TFTC.

After trying every single maths equation known to man I decided to contact the CO for some hints. Do I feel dumb now. Don’t overthink these things.

Staying with the inlaws does have some good spin-offs. Up early this morning I said I was just ducking down to the shops for the paper and milk. 30min later I returned home with the paper and milk and 3 cache finds.

Had previously solved this one so while most of the neighbourhood rested I got this one with very few in sight.
Thanks

20-Apr-18
I quickly solved this puzzle before bed, knowing I was going to be in the area the next day. I made a quick find at GZ thanks to the hint (which was needed given it’s very hard to search in high muggle areas). LouLou0212 took a phone call and managed to make it look plausible that we were stood there while I signed the log! TFTC Mr&MrsFish

20-Apr-18
What a great place to stop for lunch - extreme stealth was required so a fake phone call was made stopping us dead in our tracks TFTC Mr&MrsFish, I really enjoyed it!

31-Mar-18
Hot day shlepping around some local caches but no muggles around due to public holiday

30-Mar-18
Even though its a public holiday with next to no one around i still felt conspicuous here. Pretty sure no one was paying attention from the one shop that was open to our public loitering. Tftc

01-Dec-17
This pie shop gets visited regularly by me, but I never bothered walking the 30m fr9n the shop to the cache haha.
This is by definition a quick park n grab!
Great to finally find the Mr&MrsFish cache!

We solved this one at home and made the find easily enough in between muggles all around us.

We were sitting in the car at the beach when a big thunderstorm was above us. We decided to solve this puzzle until it's over. We quickly got the final coordinates. At GZ we had to look twice. It's hard to see with sunglasses.
Thanks for showing. Tftc

I had a DNF on another puzzle this morning which ate up all my time before work, then work ran later than planned and we were heading away so I didn't have much time, I knew about this cache and had planned on doing it on a different day but time meant today was the day, it was a really quick find at gz for mr minion then we went to get dinner, thanks for the cache tnln sl

31-Jul-17
TB drop. I note that a structure near GZ will probably be replaced soon, it's starting to look like the tower of pisa and the cache may disappear.

29-Jul-17
In town with the kids grabbing a few random puzzles. This had everything I could hope for - 6 months unloved an a satay pie Smile

The kids enjoyed being stealthy too. We did our best sneaky walk to GZ. Cars provided great cover. Took a geocoin and will move it on. TFTC

Find #1140
We spent the day caching our way through Gosford and Erina today, to find some new D:T combos, and some other special caches.
This was the second pi puzzle I have solved in the past week or so, the other being 'Transcendence' in Newcastle. We parked and walked, the GPS had us at the wrong spot initially, then as it settled another GZ was indicated, where Samuel spotted the hide. The pie shop was shut today Sad Nice to see a quality logbook too - cheers....

Today we had a GREAT day caching around Gosford and Tumbi Umbi, we found 19 caches and only 2 DNFs. Lots of big walks and aching legs!

Glad to get a smiley on this one.

Quick solve and find today. I placed my phone on the bonnet of the car whilst I signed the log after which I drove away. I realized I didn't have my phone so I retraced my steps to find one crushed phone in middle of nearby roundabout. This put paid to anymore caches for the day. TFTC

Well, Again, Another set of Mathamatical things to sit and work out.
Luckily for me the Brains of our little operation, Klippy, was onto it.
She gave me the CoOrds to punch into the ETrex, All I wanted to do
was get stuck into a Chilli Beef Pie. But, Duty called....So we circled around and
Homed in on GZ. And when it was all clear, I Pounced and had CIH.
NOW.....Hurriedly I filled in the Log, then it was off to get my Chilli Hit..

Had to grab some foam from Clark Rubber for a road case I just made and figured at a few minutes b4 midday- a man's gotta eat. Another "meal" consumed at the Green Lantern dinner table (dash). Was able to make a quick and discreet find due mainly to accuracy of coords. TFTC fishes.

Solved a while ago. Passing today and dropped in for a pie. Beef burgandy not as good as the other pie in the sky further south that also lives up to its name a bit better. As for the cache, much too public a spot and wrong time of day for this little black duck to have a decent search, but thanks for the puzzle.

25-Apr-16
I thought, it being Anzac Day, all shops closed I'd have free reign.
Only to find one occupied car parked facing GZ!
Waited a bit wandering back and forth do had a place in mind but they weren't going anywhere fast.
Waited for inattentive moments to grab and replace.
All in fine condition.

With the big wet continuing it was time to take the tribe to the movies. Afterwards we realised we had solved this a while ago but had yet to collect, Being wet muggle movements were limited so we got close and made a quick find. We completed the signing duties and re hid. Spotted the nearby Pie Shop as well. TFTC

Having things to do in Erina, I quickly solved the puzzle and hit the road. On my way back, found the well constructed cache! Not many people in the area when retrieving. Different history when replacing... Had to wait, until got the perfect moment! Thanks Mr&MrsFish

Thanks Mr & Mrs Fish for responding to my DNF the other day. I hope I didn't cause any worry.

Today I came by with my son and a mate of his, we were walking from Narara to Erina Fair (gotta make these kids work for their movie viewing!) and were keen to have another go at this. The car park was pretty full, but this actually made it easier. I really should have found the cache the other day, after all the previous hint gave a very strong clue on exactly where to look. In any case, was in and had the cache in hand very quickly, moved away to sign the log, grabbed the TBs (will log and move on) and cache back in place in no time.

Thanks Mr & Mrs Fish, nice puzzle too! Cheers! Smile

17-Sep-15
A cache check shows it is still there. The clue has been improved so you can get in and out a bit faster.

13-Sep-15
My son and I came here on Sunday, I'd solved the puzzle and the co-ords led me to a place where geocaches could be hid. Had a peek and a poke, there was a few beer bottles and stuff but I didn't see anything that looked like an obvious cache. We didn't look for too long as, even though it was Sunday afternoon with not too many people around, we felt uncomfortable poking in and about here for too long.

I made my way back to GZ this morning after dropping the geo-widow at the station for her commute to Sydney, figuring that unlike my last visit, I would have free reign at 0630 to search the area around GZ without attracting undue muggle attention. Having previously surveyed likely hide locations here, I'm pleased to report that I had no problems finding the well camoed cache this time ... but the task was probably made easier with the CO having simplified things at GZ. It then felt like a FTF when I got to put my name in top spot in the new logbook Wink

Thanks for a nice puzzle and hide Mr&MrsFish ... and for the smiley too.

11-May-15
I was playing with pi and puzzles elsewhere when all the frivolity was happening here, so I came by today ready to turn the question mark on my map into a smiley. Regrettably, it was not to be so ... while I was only able to take a quick look around GZ (with two cars parked immediately adjacent to GZ and with muggles all around, I didn't feel comfortable doing more than a cursory examination of the area ), there was no sign of either the cache or the decoy that other finders talked about. I fear that it may have been muggled by the gardener, but I'll be back soon, at a quieter time, to have another look before I raise any alarms.

11-May-15
A cache check showed the old decoy still in place with the bison and old log nearby. However the sauce bottle container is gone, although strangely there are several other similar items still close by. The cache has now been simplified, a single container at GZ. Enjoy!

15-Mar-15
Bit of a saga to this one! Sitting at home after it had been enabled, just about to have an early night and saw that no one had done it yet! 7min later at GZ and read that this was re-enabled for pi day! Knowing that was 3 hours too many away from me, decided to leave it for the morning.

7am, jumped very sleepily into the the car and sped to GZ, just to find MV and Team Send eating a pie. I live 7min away and get beaten here by people who live over an hour away? Thinking the pie they had was in victory, I was soon alerted to the fact that it was a pie of ponderous thought... They instructed me to have a look. I was also very confused. It seemed to hint at another location. Not having time to explore this avenue, I left it for another day.

Back this evening with a few finds confirming that I had over thought the whole cache, and I soon had the CIH. TFTC!!!

Fantastic and very fun cache that had us dodging imposters for a little while until cool heads prevailed...delighted to find the first hide for Mr & Mrs Fish after being with them on their very first find a few short years and a few thousand finds of theirs ago!!

14-Mar-15
Today we headed down to attend some event towards Sydney.

We attempted this cache early in the morning but found the decoy waiting for us, it wasn't until returning later for the event that we found this well hidden cache. TFTC

14-Mar-15
BillHill531 and I set out early on our way to the Pi event and stopped for some caches. This was the last of ten today. When this first came out I had no idea, but after a while I thought about it and worked out what I had to do. I think the puzzle side is a little under rated on the difficulty stars and then there is the hide, no not that one! Finally found it with DOC-WHO and had a nice laugh. Followed by more laughs as we watched others try and fail at finding this deceptively easy cache.
Thanks for the puzzle, decache and the souvenir!

14-Mar-15
Hmm, back this morning to find this may be a little more involved than I first thought..

Stopped by on the way to sydney earlier this morning. Found cache container but no log book inside. Full log to come.

Hmm.. looks like some other Place has tried to move in. Maybe you should look nearby for the real cache.

14-Mar-15
Yay! *FTF* - well played Fishes, well played.
Sat and stared at the numbers for the past week, comparing smart phones and wondering if I needed to eat a certain pie to get the actual numbers...eventually it got the better of me and asked a young one for a shove in the right direction, and got what I needed....so simple, yet so...well, not.
Thought about the FTF hunt and before leaving for the event I saw that several others had tried and found something that didn't quite add up....intriguing... Got here this morning and quickly made the grab - geoJorjy thought this was an easy one, but seemingly, not.... We pondered again over pies and as peeps starting to arrive I knew the race was on, so I Jumped in to help the kids out and had my hands on the clever one. GeoJorjy insists the FTF was still all here's and proudly added her name into Poll position. I think you pleased a little geocacher immensely with that one! Fav point awarded for the fun. Cheers for the smiley, the smile and the souvenir Smile happy pie Day!

After running into the fishes a few days ago they had mentioned that this cache would take only a couple of minutes and would be found very quickly. Knowing that I was going to be attending the nearby event today I didn't spend much time on working out the co-ords. In fact I left it alone thinking that I'll just follow the group and log the find with the others. Curiosity got the better of me last night and I read the description again. To be honest, the first time I read this when i was published I missed a couple of things. Last night I realised what needed to be done, but still figured I'd allow the others to do it for me!! Razz

Today at the event I watched Doc Who and some others head off to an area. I didn't keep a close eye on them but worked out the general direction. Whilst I was talking to the Geo Krew we spotted a few people heading off to the area. When she noticed they were looking in the wrong spot we decided to head over there and hopefully make the find before them.

As we arrived to the GZ I spotted something and had the "that was easy" moment. I passed the container over to the Geo Krew to allow her to sign the log first, she had done all the hard work to deserve it. We were both surprised with what we found inside. Needless to say we had to continue searching the area. The other now came and joined us and we searched and searched and searched and brought about a fair amount of attention from onlookers. We stil came up empty though???

I headed back to have a chat to the Fishes who were surprised we hadn't found it yet and were enjoying stringing me along whilst the others who had found it tried to provide some cryptic clues. It was definitely one of those moments where everyone was in on it and I had no idea what was going on. Funny for them and frustratingly funny for me also.

Finally the group provided me with some helpers. The young children from the group came to help us out! I felt like a really tough man coming back to the GZ with a group of young kids who were going to make the find for us!! haha Whatever works I guess and in this case it did!

We all passed around the log and signed it before heading back to the event to continue the stories.

Tanks fishes for providing a puzzle cache on pi day!

TFTC cheers

We were really stumped by this cache. It required thinking outside the pie. Thanks to Geokrew for their assistance in pointing us to the method for deciphering this cache. It was even more of a challenge when we came across the 'cache' and didn't find the logbook. It was a very clever and thoughtful hide. Well done to Mr&MrsFish for a really good puzzle cache which was found with a number of other cachers during the Pi day event.

14-Mar-15
Still none the wiser as to how to solve the puzzle, I just followed the crowd across the way from the pi day event and joined the queue to sign the log. I even did a seaeagles and forgot to bring a pen, but fortunately Wests Tigers Fan came to the rescue and I didn't have to hunt around for charcoal. Thanks for the hide and I look forward to seeing more from the Fish.

After a brief moment of elation reality set in. Either the cache had been hijacked by a competing cuisine or there was more to the D1.5 than anticipated.

Baktrak and I reverted to search mode, and were asked by a facility manager if we were inspectors! A short conversation seemed to put him at ease and we promised not to destroy anything. Having no idea how to decode what was in the container and wanting to respect the garden, we moved on to the next cache. Thanks Mr&MrsFish. Unfortunately we couldn't stay for the event as we had committed to another closer to home.

14-Mar-15
Attended the Pie Event and found the puzzle GeoCache whilst there. Interesting container.

14-Mar-15
Felt quite clever solving this one as soon as it came out, but had to wait till the event date to make a find. Thought about getting up early and trying for a FTF before I started work 40 mins away, but decided to just wait and be whatever number in the line to sign on the day. Just as well too! Whilst my solved coords were spot on the find was not quite as easy. Found the container but something was amiss. Walking back to the group with egg on my face, or more appropriately for this cache - "sauce" - I was told to go back and look harder. By then a mass were searching before the find was made. Phew! So grateful I didn't get out of bed early for this one, I would have thought too much harder than I needed too and gone on a wild goose chase. Thanks for the cache, puzzle and souvenir Mr&MrsFish!! Big Grin

14-Mar-15
Found 1:23 pm. I knew this puzzle was here and decided that I needed a further push to figure this one out, which I had hoped I would obtain at the event. When I had a look I couldn't figure it out after trying various thoughts. I realise later that one direction was slightly right but not the reference. After brief conversation with Mr Fish and that I shouldn't take Apple and Blackberry as devices. It made sense now how to get the coords. Then event attendees were clearly searching for it and I couldn't resist going over with one group and after some lengthy searching the Shockers discovered the elusive container and we no longer had sauce oh egg on our faces. I like the play in words of PI Day with the herring. Thanks for a clever puzzle and cache Mr&MrsFish.

One of a few lined up with sjamp early today. We made no sense of what we found.

Reperio at 1300.

Well this one ended up much more involved than I was expecting. After leaving my house 2 mins after the cache was published to turning back when it became disabled...I returned this morning with Team Senz on the way down to Sydney to see what we could find now that it had been enabled again. We arrived at GZ, and we soon spotted what looked and felt like the cache...which fitted in perfectly with the D1.5 rating...but upon opening it...brought much confusion to us. After considering what it all meant, we were greeted by mrnoo, and upon his look at the cache, had the same amount of confusion as we did. With no log book in it...but with a stash note...we decided to leave it and head off. Of course, once the CO added a note, all was revealed, which made the process easier for all who followed.

This afternoon we made it back to the nearby event, and so returned to where we once had been this morning to this time make the find on the real cache. In the end, the cache was a nice novelty to the theme, which I'm sure will provide great amusement to all who find it.

Gratias Mr&MrsFish.

Sitting at home late Saturday evening watching the idiot box with little or no interest. When my mind started to wander couldn't stop thinking about The Pie Place so it was grab the gear and out the door On arrival at the GZ almost had the place to myself except for a few late diners at the Pizza shop across the carpark. Quickly found the Red Herring (I wonder if the KB Thai serve herrings, Expanding the search area slightly for a quick find (Shame the pie shop was closed). And I missed out on the free dinner at KB Thai

Thanks for the adventure

Thanks for the great Cache

Hmm sitting next to GZ and read the disable log to say that this is off until pi day. 3hours before, I feel this would be rude if I went for the find now! Might leave this for the morning!!
