We no longer walk past this regularly, so we will move to somewhere easier for us to maintain.
As per previous searchers, I too couldn't find this cache. For the size and very descriptive hint, I would assume this would be an easy find, and perhaps it may not be there???
Like the last visitor, I spent a long time looking in various places but without any success here. We noted one location that looked the most likely and corresponded to the hint, but no cache.
Crawled around everywhere but this one had the three of us stumped. Was looking forward to depositing some goodies in a Regular but will put on my Watch List and see what happens.
Tftc. Quick find after doing a circuit up this side of the reserve. Picked up 5 on my walk.
TFTC Thank you for going to the effort of hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
Headed out with Angel to grab a few caches in this neck of the woods. It was a warm day, and even this short circuit was tiring, but nice to have a walk and see some local flora and fauna! Thanks vroarty for the cache and the echidna sighting!
Bobl27 and I decided to grab a few caches on this corner of the Black Mountain Reserve today, but probably should have timed our outing better as at lunchtime, it was a wee bit warm. But three caches sought and found.
Last cache of the day and an easy find. We saw an echidna close to GZ. It obviously decided we were not too scary as it poked it's nose out for us to photograph! Then a hot trek back to the car

5194. A nice stroll around the base of Black Mountain and a cache or two. This one was found with no dramas.

This cache was the furthest from my parked car near Telstra tower as I was willing to go. A tough day caching, nice cache and good hint. Tftc.
Lovely little location. We kinda bashed our way down the Creek bed, much to the disgruntlement of the local wallaby. Highly enjoyable find as the tenth stop on a caching trip around Black Mountain. TFTC.
A lovely afternoon for strolling around the base of Black Mountain after parking in Aranda.
A nice easy find here after a pleasant bit of strolling. Cute location. TFTC

I have been meaning to find this cache for several months. The opportunity presented itself this morning on a day off work, so trekked across to this and two other nearby caches. TFTC
Haven't got out in a while, UNI has been hectic, thought I'd go for a quick jog and grab this nearby one (3idh km) mozzies everywhere! Left a trackable that's been screaming at me for freedom!

After caching around the confluence of the Molonglo and Murrumbidgee rivers, ZQX dropped me at the Aranda bushlands so I could get more training in for the World Rogaine Champs coming up in a couple of weeks - i.e. walking home from here (about 6km as the crow flies and only two roads to cross). This was the eighth of 10 caches found on the way. A quick find. TFTC.

What an odd place for a bridge. Too cold and wet for echidnas today. Tnlnsl TFTC
Some great little swaps in there. Perfect for some kid adventurers to rummage through. Thanks for a nice cache!
Oops - logging this a week or 2 late (better than a year late, or never
Got up at stupid o'clock and went kayaking B4 work ... felt a bit tired by the time I finished work - lol ... so ... where shall I go for my daily cache (or 3 to keep my streak (a whole 2 weeks - lol) going? I know - a bushwalk on the side of Black Mountain - lol (yes, I am crazy
So, I parked in a street in Aranda and headed down and under the underpass - found a cache on my way under there ... next nearest (this one looked like it may be good to grab on my way back ... so I decided I might grab the two new ones, then grab this one if I had time (I ended up finding the 2 new ones, and the really old one further up the mountain as well, and by then the Sun was setting so I figured I had better head back down the hill ... and found this one on my way back, in the dark - good thing I had taken a torch with me - lol
TFTC - quite a pretty little spot, even in the dark ... bridge railing came in handy to hang my torch while I signed/swapped/etc
Took what was meant to be (but probably wasn't) a short cut on my way back and found a rather interesting watercourse with big blocks of rocks encased in wire ... amazing what odd things are down here in places most people don't go
Another one that we have been driving past for awhile now it was time to turn the green box into a smiley.
A slow wander to this one capturing other green things along the way.
Quick find and sign at GZ. Took the TB's to move along.

Headed in from Aranda, and followed tracks and partially cross country. Wasn't aware of the bridge here, so interesting to see it. Cache found OK, although a bit exposed. Covered it a bit better. Grabbed TB, left GC. Thanks
Found with Pacmania. Good to see a well stocked cache, although the pen is leaking a bit.
Thanks
Thanks
#1194 After just 3 weeks in his new job, The Banker needed a geocaching fix. So today we found 8 from 8. We stuck to the track. Quick find. Dropped trackable. TFBUH vroarty.
Found with TaurusSix. The cache was out in the open. I remember walking the particular path many times, many years ago.
Parked 2.5 km away, but Flynn (5) an Aurora (2) walked the whole way! Loved the swaps!
Set out to find a couple of geocachers after work and this one was on my list, signed log and moved on to the next cache. TFTC vroarty
#3498 - 17:15; Having limited time available for a cache run this afternoon, decided to grab a couple more off the iPhone closest to home top 30 (which are getting further and further from home again). Made the right choice of parking spot for the geomobile and found I was quite close to GZ. Made my way over for a quick find and sign before heading off for another one or two. TFTC vroarty
Woo Hoo! Found during lunchtime hunt. This is a great cache for Geo-kids with some treasure in the container at the moment, so make sure you bring some swaps. This is geocaching in its original form. Definitely not one of those little black things that people with arthritic hands have difficulty opening let alone trying to put he log sheet back into them.
So WELL DONE VROARTY this one gets a a favourite from me.

The plan had been to head into Goorooyaroo area with Noikmeister and Takibi today but as we got close we decided that before heading into the bush we needed a coffee stop....and seriously if you need a coffee stop you need to go to Hawker.... So fueled up we decided to tackle a few suburban drive-bys and easy walking caches instead. Noted the terrain rating which made the choice of logical hiding places limited so thankfully it was in the first place I looked.
Found at 12:35:00 PM with BatgirlandCo and Takibi
We were out for a day of caching to boost our numbers for an upcoming milestone. We meandered through the wet bush to this one. The creek was flowing nicely.
Thanks vroarty.

A very lovely location, although we didn't spot any echidnas today. The cache is still in excellent condition. We did this the opposite way today - heading over to Caswell drive via the snail trail after collecting this one. Thanks vroarty
Stopped on the down hill slope and parked the geo-bug well off the road. Then it was through the fence and across the creek and small valley in search of the Spy Kids. Found at 1315 this afternoon, there was no one around which made for a relaxing walk in and search. Thanks for the very well placed cache vroarty!
Cheers

The fourth find of the day on an adventure on Black Mountain. After doing a few on Aranda hill, I was now onto the main event for the day. It was a bit of a walk from the previous cache to this one but it was also fairly nice as the fog was beginning to clear. Once I arrived at GZ, it was fairly clear where the cache was located. I still checked a few spots before finally spotting the cache! Great infrastructure here! Log signed and cache replaced. TFTC vroarty!
Headed over to this one from the BearWolf cache. I had no idea all these little trails existed around here, which was a nice touch. Some others turned up right before us, so we went off to spot some wallabies we'd seen in the gully earlier. Quick find (still has a lot of swaps), although this could get muggled from others playing around the bridge. TFTC!
8967 and 3rd of 4 found today.[font=Verdana] [Green] I was on my way home but decided that it was just too good of a day to stop at only a couple of caches. Pulled into the parking area and made my way up to the cache using the convenient footpads/bike paths. Then found the right path - and ignored it. A quick find at the smaller version of the other one I was now heading for.[/Green]
Thanks for the cache [Blue]vroarty[/Blue] and the voyeurism. [font=Verdana]

After a great weekend away diving I had a bit of time to use up before lunch so I found a good spot to stop and walked in to this nice area of the reserve to check out a bridge that is in disguised as a spy !
Thanks.

After the CITO at Lake Ginninderra, we got a few caches around Belconnen and Gungahlin before heading to the CITO in Dunlop. In order to get to this cache, we had to go through the underpass where the Tankengine cache is, so it was nice to revisit that area. A lovely walk through the trees and on the path to GZ, where the cache was found reasonably quickly. Cool hide in a great area. TNLNSL. TFTC vroatry!
In the area to archive a cache of mine and stopped by for this one...
I have been in the this area a few times, but I must say this was new pathway for me. Enjoyed the walk, the area and the hide. Spent a few minutes sitting at GZ just enjoying the solitude.
Thanks vroaty...favourite point for this one.

Just realised that I forgot to log this. Think this was approximately the day on which I made the find, plus or minus a few. TFTC voracity
Friday 3 April 2015 (Easter Friday holiday) - overcast dull Autumn late morning with a perfect 15 degrees for a short walk around the belly of Little Black Mountain and Black Mountain. Found two caches with muggle husband for an easy 4.5 walk in less than 1.5 hours. Heading back home from this cache we came across about 15 people walking, several running, and a number bike riding. Also came across an area in the bush that was cordand off and signed. The sign indicated that loose asbestos had been removed from the area. Hmmm.. a bit of a worry - see photo. TFTC.
9366 + 1058 = 10424. A nice days caching with 6 quite different finds ...
After work I still wanted a few caches so after a Federal Hwy find I headed out this way for another bush walk. Parked in a familiar location and walked firstly on one side of the GDE then the other until I was at GZ. And what a great spot this is ! Really enjoyed the walk in to this one. ! Quick find, sign, return and I was off back to the car to another one.
Thanks vroarty ! A Favourite Point for the location, Hide and size of the container !

What a great location for a cache in the bush. We had already "spy"ed this area out, but last week when we went to list our cache we discovered we'd been pipped at the post. A lovely bridge and path for the meander.
Thanks vroarty for sharing this area and the little bridge.

After few sporting commitments tonight we thought it would be nice to go for a nice evening bushwalk as a cool down. It was getting fairly late as we parked so out came the trusty head torches and it was off along the trail. Have to admit we haven't been along here before and was quite a nice track to follow, just watch out for the speed bumps [:p].
We soon arrived at our target and after initially searching the wrong side Mr Stormcatcher came up with the goods and soon had our names on the logbook at 21:00. A very interesting structure and was cool to visit at night! Thanks vroarty for the cache and walk in the bush tonight.

Also well done on your first hide, we really enjoyed it. Here are some corrected coordinates if it helps future hunters, though it was still fairly straight forward to find.
Nice quick find on an overcast day. Coordinates appear to be about 12m out, but was easy enough find with the hint. A nicely stocked cache, in a nice area - I almost felt like continuing on the path, just to see where it went! Thanks vroarty.
# 1360 FTF T-Bone and I made the dash when we saw the notification. One head torch and one phone flash and off we went scampering into the bush in PJ's and sneakers.
Finally starting to feature in the FTF hunts again. Weeeeeee
