Yes this really is a bridge to nowhere. After attending the nearby CITO at the Coburg Lake I decided to grab a few local caches I hadnt claimed. Nice hot and windy day. Quick and easy find. TFTC
After attending a nearby CITO this morning, Tiz13, BlackOpal2005, micaparamedic and I wandered off to find some nearby caches... a very enjoyable stroll in the sun, plenty of chatting and laughing as we went... and lots of eyes to make the hunt a bit easier... definitely needed for this clever hide! Thanks **80degrees** for this cache .
Following the nearby CITO, a group including Tiz13, BlackOpal2005, Long John Silva and myself headed along the creek trail to find a few caches, this was but one of them. A sneaky hide which took a little searching to find. Clearly we took longer than it should have to find it, I have my suspicions as to why, but that's all I'll say. Thanks 80degrees for placing this traditional cache, enhancing the game board and adding to our enjoyment.
Following the nearby Cito a group of us went for a stroll to find a few caches including this one. After a long search and many PAF....each blaming each other for not looking there.
When I realise I was incorrect place then I found quick in right place to cache. Its cool to know about Kodak, its interesting ..._.._.\ \./ /....\ \../ /_._...\ \/ | | |..|___.|_.|_.|..(___(_) .|...|. TFTC .|..|_165__|. by GSalomon7
Came back for a second look with geo kid and had the log in hand after 5 minutes. Thanks for the cache!
I seem to be making a habit of visiting the northern suburbs when needing some exercise in the form of a walk. This time it was Coburg as I started at Edwardes Lake Park and walked down to Coburg Lake Reserve. I was joined for part of it by nirgalagrin who got in some desired physical activity, performed some cache maintenance and found one of the handful of caches he hasn't found in his 5km zone.My logs will include this standard blurb and then a comment or two about each cache separated from this blurb by a dividing line. Many thanks to the the COs for putting out the caches found during this walk. ---I was joined by nirgalagrin when on Spectrum Way. He attempted to interest me in greater energy expenditure than was ultimately required due to the shift in position of this cache between the date he found it and yesterday. Thankfully this was a lot less involved.
When I started working in the area over a decade a lot of the area had yet to be developed... how times have changed. The nearby street names are a great homage to once what stood here. Cache was found shortly after disturbing a wasps nest while having a poke about. I made it a lot harder then it should have been.
I might need to bring reinforcements to find this one. Hopefully I'm just plagued with man eye syndrome.

I tried to find this about 18 months ago and had absolutely no joy. LBut this time. My GPS was showing the right side and I found it in exactly the first place I looked. I'm almost shocked beyond belief.
Sorry 80 degrees for doing that I promise you I won't do that again I am new to geocacheing so sorry
Guessing this one has gone missing and if not please leave a hint for the next fibder
Checked as requested by Bunjil. Cache exactly where it is supposed to be. We were offended by Geoclasher5 suggesting the cache was missing just because he couldn’t find it. not every cache has or needs a hint
Slipped on the area the side of the bridge and had a bit of a fall. Got hurt but not too bad. I spent another 30 mins looking, but no luck. Will return: David
Worked two summers at Kodak back in my Uni days. 82/83 and 83/84. The second year I was a casual storeman in the warehouse, old Bld. 21. This bridge was built to link Bld. 21 to the rest of the Kodak plants, which were all on the Elizabeth side of the creek. The former Bld. 21 is the only old Kodak building still standing. Now it's Conga Foods. Huge white building up the hill from the bridge, still sporting an Kodak orange stripe....
Looked here a few months back. A little more idea now. Aaaah, one of those.... TFTC

Looks cool from satellite imagery. Pity that doesn’t use film like Kodak back in the day.
We wandered over here after the nearby event caches today. We had done a bit of searching when another cacher came up and put a hand straight on it. We'll take it. I remembered that I had seen this cache name come up before in our travels, so I checked how many caches of this name that we had found in the past. It turns out that there was one in Mildura in 2008, one on the Bass Coast in 2012 and Cardinia in 2021. They were all aptly named and none more so this one, the 4th in our ever increasing series and certainly the most elaborate so far. Thanks from D & HA B-A
After the event nearby I had a go at this one. Bumped into Rabbito and we found together. Thank you 80degrees for placing and maintaining A Bridge to Nowhere for us to find today.
Find # 1877.

Out with a echidna44 collecting some hides in the area of the CITO we attended in the morning. Interesting path here to nowhere. Did they run out of money. Nice easy find. Cache in excellent condition. Thanks for the cache 80degrees
Back in 2011 I archived my second cache, "Home of the Micro", which was located about 180m from here. Back in those days a "micro" cache was very often a film canister (What's a film canister? What's film?!), and I had hidden a film canister cache as a tribute to the Kodak site. I have attached a photo to this log which shows what the building looked back in 2007, although the sign had gone by 2008. I love what has been done with the creek area since, and I love what you have done with this cache 80degrees.
An interesting bit of history right here, and a very clever camo for what I thought would be another boring bridge mag. I was wrong. TFTC
Finally found it! And then the pen broke so signing the log required a quick dash to wollies for a new pen. Tftc!
Often visited the old Kodak factory years ago when cameras were a thing.
(ie. before mobile phones.)
After having found several of your caches I was onto this one relatively quickly. Nice hide with an apt name.
Thanks for the fun and the memories 80degrees

After attending the Weeding on a Wednesday CITO at Coburg Lake Rocky Outcrop we set a course for home, naturally following a route which included a variety of caches including this one.
Good solid bridge, pity it could not be relocated to a needy spot - love the paint work on the roadway.
Thanks to 80degrees for adding this cache to the gameboard.

Quick find in a lovely spot - we had some cute dogs walking past helping us so bonus points
Headed out for a spot of caching today. I wasn't sure if I was heading in the right direction but the path I was following brought me right out where I needed to be. A quick find here. I used to have one of these types of hides. TFTC 80degrees
Wow, hard to believe that not only was there a Kodak factory, but it was so big they built a bridge. Tech moves on!

Another road trip adventure with Aquilus1 as we venture off from Canberra to go to the Whittlesea Mega. The major lure of course was the GPS Maze (we have attended 5 of these now!).
We went the longish way on Friday so as to collect virtuals and labs a little further west, its a shame that several of the labs could only be done travelling north..... at least we have WP1 done!
The weather was all a bit crap, with crazy wind, rain and swamps everywhere being a feature of the trip.
A huge day on Saturday of 30,000 steps around the new challenge trail at Mt Disappointment was not disappointing.....but it really hurt! We truly became "Limpy & Gimpy" as we hobbled around the showgrounds & did the maze afterwards. The glory!!!
Lucky for us Sunday was a day with mostly park & grabs in convoy, the result of a huge team effort to solve the WCW GeoArt at Whittlesea. I did venture out of the car to clear roads of fallen trees and even stood under a waterfall to retrieve a cache....the things we do! Have to shout out Albida for daring to take on the crazy steep track in his 4WD and Minniek for crossing the log!
Of course we didn't ignore counties as its always one of our major focuses. We ventured south into Melbourne late on the Sunday to collect several, as well as virtuals. I will never forget just how many mozzies were in the loo with me at the MCG!
Monday was a cleanup day with labs, another event and wherigo in Whittlesea (scroll down to the bottom to read the heavily edited logs! )
On the trip back we went a different route to collect some other counties and cool old caches. Car developed a slow leak which meant us putting air in it every 100-150km's, but it got us home!!
HUGE thank you for all the cache owners, if we signed your cache it was because it had a quality we were really chasing. BIG apologies to all other cache owners, we had SO MANY more we wanted to sign, but of course there just isn't enough time.

Cool history of the bridge, nice quick find here.
With the Whittlesea Mega, its GPS maze and a number of events on over the weekend, GreyHams and myself set of for our four-day caching trip. Perhaps one of our trips with not much of a plan but we seemed to fill the days fully and ticked of what we had in mind.
The trip down was one that followed the most sensible route... past lots of virtuals and definitely not the most direct, perfect! With a number of AL's as we passed and a few caches of interest we arrived at Whittlesea in time for the evenings event.
Saturday's forecast wasn't the most favourable for caching but the challenge series at Mt disappointment was of interest, and it's a challenge series after all so what's a little rain! We did get lucky really and a few showers blew through but for the most part it was dry enough. It was a long walk and a huge push, but we made it back to the car, a little broken and sore but it was a great series and worth the suffering! (There was suffering!) The day also saw us through the maze, a few AL's, caches and events.
With the prep of the puzzles prior to the weekend it was a group approach of the solving team, the Whittlesea Canberra Caching Group, logs signed WCCG for the Sunday. So great to head out with this group, a great trail of such variety of caches and locations. The huge storm overnight made it a little tricky with so much extra water about, a few downed trees, wet feet, some walks and a couple of leaches (was that just on me!) Great to collect these caches, or at least most of the ones we could.
It's not a caching trip without collecting new LGA's and we did manage a few extras, into Melbourne and its surrounds, feeling a bit stiff and sore from our huge walk it was a limp about for the rest of the weekend but cache on, we did!
Monday saw us back at the Mega for another event, a chance to finish of the AL's and a few last caches. Our journey home taking us through a few new LGA's, more virtuals, and caches of interest. A great weekend away, we filled all the days to the fullest. Many thanks to the Committee for organising and to all the CO's in the region and as we travelled about for your caches.

Searched above and below bridge. No evidence of cache and was not able to be located. Spent 30mins trying to locate.
Would have taken me a while to find this cache type in the past. Relatively quick nowadays.
Interesting spot! Looking at the map I was confident that it was a road. I had to walk around. It was worth it!
The culmination of today's after work wander brought me here to "A Bridge To Nowhere".
What a fascinating remnant of days gone by. I have often stared at this cache listing as I drove past the *old* main gate on Newlands Road, but never bothered to make the effort to park, walk and find the cache. Today that has been rectified.
I parked beneath the power pylon, in the overflow carpark at Coburg Basketball Stadium and took a leisurely one km stroll along the creek trails. Caching as I went.
With no one in sight as I arrived, I set about searching for the cache. **Bingo!** Found in the very first place I looked. A lovely new log sheet awaited my mark.
*A bonus of 742 metropolitan {unloved} days here too.*
Thanks for the history lesson, the relaxing stroll and mostly for placing great caches for us to find 80degrees.

Hi there 80degrees,
This cache has been flagged by Geocaching HQ as a cache that **MAY** need some attention.
You may recall having received an automated email from Geocaching HQ which explained what you needed to do.
Unfortunately, nothing seems to have happened, so I am having to take the next step and temporarily disable the cache - see here: [**Geocache Health Score.**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713)
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication kill this cache.**
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.
- **Place A Write Note Log:-** Reviewers are not mind readers, so without your note on the cache page telling them what the situation is, they can't tell what is going on with the cache.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and, when the listing is next checked, all will be fine for a little bit longer. But be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it.
If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date), please ensure you visit this page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks so as to keep everyone up to speed with what is happening.
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another Geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of the above. Well, when the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned and processed accordingly.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide, so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
Thanks for your cooperation,
Bunjil

Had a bit of a look around and seemed to have a good GPS fix. No luck this time, will have to return!
Ran up the hill under the bridge and walked along the western fence on both sides.
Have not found this one. I have been searching for this one for a long time but still have not found it. Is this still accessible?
Went to the other side of the silver fence. Scrambled along the slippery rock face until just under GZ but couldn't find it!
Now we are allowed to go out for any reason Geocaching is now allowed so enabling our caches
Due to the covid lockdown in Melbourne we are disabling all affected caches. If anyone logs a find during this period logs will be deleted
With restrictions lifted enough to now allow geocaching am enabling all our caches
Disabled for the duration of the Covid-19 crisis. We are being asked to stay at home. Geocaching is a game and we are dealing with a serious health issue so please stay at home.
We are being responsible and disabling all our caches until this crisis passes.

Found this nice little cache in a tricky spot yesterday during an outing to get some fresh air. I had a nice view of a family having a little campfire next to the creek. A very nice area amongst the suburbs. SL TFTC.
Out tonight to get a cache to fill a date on the calendar. It was a nice walk tonight. After looking at the terrain rating I had an idea where I would find this one. TFTC 80degrees.
Sidled over and signed the log. Can hear voices! I’m a generation of those who used KODAK filmTFTC
I had to explain to the younger Bruces what Kodak was and what photographic film was. They didn't really get it. Thanks 80degrees
Have never spotted this bridge in Coburg before. Thanks for bringing me here. Spotted the cache but had to wait for a muggle to pass first before grabbing. TFTC

Just knocked off work so I decided to wonder down and grab this one.
A nice short walk to nowhere indeed except to gain a smiley.

The wide bridge to nowhere certainly looks out of place now. Accurate co-ords took me straight to GZ. A great hide. Thanks 80degrees
Ages since I've been out this way. New homes, and the familiar remnant yellow Kodak stripe. TFTC
Although the forecast was for a cold wet day I decided that I needed to get out for some crisp fresh air. I had a rough idea where I would go today but still let the GPS be my guide.
A quick park and grab in the rain. I was lucky to make a quick find. TFTC.

Surefoot24 and I had a few hours of geocaching planned today, even though the weather was forecast to be wintery. A break in the rain allowed us to make our way to near GZ where surfoot24 kept a lookout for muggles while I retrieved the cache.
It was quickly signed and returned so that we could move on to our next target.
Thank you 80degrees for this cache. It has been awhile since I last found one of your caches.

Cathlud and I ventured out to find a detective as well as a cache to start the Mystery at the Museum series of virtual souvenirs. Years ago this was all the Kodak factory we used to drive past on our way to teachers college not far away from here. Gee things have changed! Luckily the cache was easily found and extracted the way we approached GZ. The Creek is so clean and bushy here now too!
Out for the day and thought geomutt might like a stretch but was a bit daunted by some of the log entries - oh well can't hurt to try and was surprisingly easy - maybe I used a slightly different approach....
Our first Cache in Australia. And it was Quote a challenge. It took us quite a while to find it. First we were at the wrong level. After we changed that it was an easy find. The d and t rating is definatly too low. Tftc
So it's Sunday morning and the sun is shining so a perfect day to go out and find a few caches.
I love this bridge, I have never been in this area before so was great to look around and walk along the creek. This one was not that easy for me as I spent ten minutes searching and then thought I'd get the other cache nearby first and come back. Probably did this in a more difficult way than needed but eventually spotted the cache and managed to sign the log book.
I think the difficulty could be a little higher compared to other caches found.
Anyway thanks for the hide.

Melbourne Day2
Today Bill headed off with geono on their bikes to complete 2 of the many trails around the area.
Which he said it was a great day with good company. Enjoyed the day on his bike, the perfect way to cache in the city area.
Found numerous caches & an assortment of sizes in some great locations.
Thanks for placing this cache 80degrees

This is quite a sensational looking bridge. We looked at it often on google satellite maps before we left home as this was one of the nearest caches to where we were staying for the Parkville Mega and the start of the trail we used to ride to it. So we now have quite fond memories of this landmark having ridden past it so many times in the five days we were here. On top of that it has some interesting history. TFTC 80degrees.
Woohoo. Thought this was going to be another DNF at this spot but then spotted it from a somewhat less perilous angle. Clever cache. Thank you!

On the way home from work via a 7:30 pm meeting in Northcote so I need to kill a couple of hours geocaching, yippee!!!
A nice quick find here in fading light, never been across the bridge but I did do a little work from time to time here when Kodak still existed.

On the way home from work via a 7:30 pm meeting in Northcote so I need to kill a couple of hours geocaching, yippee!!!
A nice quick find here in fading light, never been across the bridge but I did do a little work from time to time here when Kodak still existed.
**Thanks for placing this cache 80degrees**

WELL, after 2 years and 6 months, this cache has my stamp sign firmly on the log, it has been my nemesis, as I was looking in an area about 1 metre from where I finally located the cache, over 6 visits , Thanks to 80degrees, I will have to extend my search radius now
Interesting area. The bridge, creek with bushland and then the high tension lines. Well attached cache. TFTC.
In the area today for work and couldn’t pass up a Cache around the corner. I made the find just in time as after I replaced it I heard chains rattling behind me and got a fright.

There is a safe way and a perilous way to do this one. I looked at the terrain rating and the perilous way and thought no. Had a look around and found a better method. The cache was quickly spotted. Great location.
Today was my monthly outing with Biggles Bear, as well as the 2017 Caching Awards event, so we did some before the event, and then more after the event. Nice quick find in what appeared to be a strange location. A check of an older Melways showed us the original use of the bridge.
Thanks for the cache, 80degrees, and for showing this oddity.

Found 4:14:00 PM, during our February Caching day out with Muzza.
TNLN, thanks 80degrees (F=3190 H=57).

Checked on this one tonight. Although the bridge still goes nowhere it can now be accessed by pedestrians. Have relocated the cache marginally and decreased the difficulty rating - you don't have to be a monkey now. New log in the cache.
Scaled the rocky precipice and hung off the fence for a while. Looked in every spidery nook and cranny. No dice. I'll be back!
Like trolls, we've been lurking under this bridge, risking our necks and the seat of our pants for nothing, ultimately. Aaagh.

It certainly goes nowhere I'm glad it wasn't wet as I'd probably be recovering in hospital right now.
A quick find in the logical location once on the right side.
Thanks

After grabbing the cache near by I approached this one from the south along the walking track. Arrived at the bridge, Could see the most likely spot. Made the climb up and the cache was in hand quickly. A nice bridge to Nowhere.
Thanks **80degrees**

I travelled across this bridge nearly every week day for nearly 25 years
I missed out on getting my Gold watch by 2 months
I have not been back to this area since the factory closed and boy has it changed
I stood at the bridge and looked up at all of the new houses and worked out where all the factory buildings and roads used to be
Now for the cache after reading a few of the previous logs I worked out what I had to do
With white knuckles I held on and made it to GZ
I managed to retrieve the cache, sign the log and stay upright at the same time
Thanks for bringing me back here
Thanks 80degrees TFTC
