Logs
Came to Quirindi for a rest break and two geocaches. Ah, both are missing? Not around here, ah well. Like what two previous finders reported
A DNF for me here.It looks like the cache is a Sistema but I'm not sure where one would go.
Stopped at this one after the silo art on our way home from a weekend at Nundle. Log was a bit damp so we added a couple of new log sheets and new ziplock bag. Sorry we didnt have time to dry out the current log sheet. Maybe the next finder will have a bit of time available. TFTC
It has some very cute trinkets inside, i would have loved to take the unicorn pendant but i had nothing to trade sadly.
Sydney to Melbourne Meander. Day Three: Cessnock to Gunnedah (still the wrong direction, I know).Weather: Overcast today. My first cache in Liverpool Plains LGA. I was horrified to see that there wasnt a cache in Willow Tree the last time I came down the New England Highway, but today I make amends. A nice easy one to get things started. Thanks for the cache Quipollyites.
(6 of 9 today)Time to head home, but not via the most direct route. Am trying to target a few LGAs on the border that Im unlikely to revisit, and see some towns Ive never visited.Started at 7m in Tenterfield and headed west towards Moree and the south to Gunnedah.Even with regular cache stops this was a long way of solo driving. Finally got home at 8pm.But an interesting day - and even found two caches just found by a fellow Sydney cacher. What are the chances?###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Unless I swing way out west - and not get home until after midnight - its time to swing south east and not grab any more LGAs. Decided I had to stop at Quirindi as the last two times Ive travelled this way I travelled around but not through it. And I do love the name! This one was right in front of me when I entered town and as I stood next to it I couldnt spot it for the Ive of me. Moved slightly and spotted it.Added my ink to the log, replaced and had a quick look at town. Loved those solos.SLTNLN TFTC
GreenGecko1 & I are heading to the GeoBash in Canberra and collecting the odd LGA on the way.Nice hide, Log found, signed and returned.
Muggle65 and l are working our way to the Canberra Mega. We chose this cache as a quick leg stretch. Thank you for a fun cache
Heading south again, I made a detour to Quirindi. Whilst here, I stopped off to find this cache. A quick find was made and my name added to the log. With everything returned as found, I continued on my way. TFTC
Quick find thanks. Had to go look at that lookout with a name like that lol TFTC
Not so busy today, too cold and too early. Just a wee little break before Gosford bound
Thankfully it was fairly quiet here to day and a quick find was had. Another LGA is cleared for us. Tftc
Found It!
This took a bit of searching but eventually I looked in the right hole and spotted it. The hint is a little misleading.

Sims_family and Dromaniax are on day Six of a our 10 day trip to Queensland and back again towing a 12x8x7 foot trailer that is loaded to the hilt and weighs quite a bit. Fuel efficiency has gone out the window with the Ginja Ninja (My Orange Mitsubishi Triton) going through fuel faster than I have ever seen before.
Day six and the day we are looking forward to as we plan to do Frying pan tonight a must do cache on our journey home.
With the trailer we are keeping it simple when it comes to caches so this was a good one for us to grab on the way through.
A nice and quick park and grab for us here today.
Thank you The_Quipollyties for the hide and sorry for the late log I am still trying to catch up on logs for our big journey

Today is the sixth day of the Sims_family/Dromaniax big road trip to Queensland and back again.
We are towing a very big trailer, which was chockers, but when you have a mission, someone else is paying for the fuel, and there is the opportunity for nine days of caching fresh fields, you jump at the chance.
We have a long list of target caches and hope to cross quite a few goals off the list on this trip.
We were heading back south now, and the Trailer was significantly lighter.
This was a nice quick find for us today. Not too many muggles about.
Thank you for this Traditional cache The Quipollyites

ThanksQuipollyites, found with Jimmytherat on Day 4 of our Silo Art NSW road trip. Nice quick grab!
TFTC. Will need tool to get cache. I haven’t signed, found it but my fingers were just not long enough.
Time for another solo road trip. This time it'll be three days from Brisbane to Dorrigo, Port Macquarie, Tamworth, Quirindie, Armidale, Grafton and back. All to find a few choice geocaches see some places I've never been before, and others I've seen but too briefly. Today is the second day on the road.
For today, the "big bit" was to get from Port Macquarie to Tamworth via the Oxley Highway. I was excited for this drive, and it totally checked out. I had also checked into my motel in Tamworth and now set off for a southern loop to Quirindie and back. I was aiming mainly for this geocache.
In the late afternoon on rural highways, the wonderful driving continued, and now with less time pressure (I actually had to kill some until the pub back in Tamowrth opened for dinner). I rolled into town and found it quite busy. Nonetheless, I parked and wandered towards GZ.
A family in the park nearby took some notice of me as I arrived at GZ. The hint checked out and I had a preliminary look. Some comments started in my direction - dare I say my Queensland registration highlighted me as not a local. Thinking about the geocache, I had an idea but couldn't really investigate without looking real odd.
One silly selfie as the comments grew either louder or nearer and with a sense of purpose I called it a day and headed back to the car. I can appreciate the concern for some random interstate guy rolling into your town and looking dodgy, so this one is left for another day.
But, I had noticed a sign for a local lookout so went there after to watch the sun begin to set. No smiley, but an otherwise memorable few memories here. Hopefully, I'll be back, The Quipollyites.

Boy they’re good magnets! Small fingers got the cache out.
All nice and dry.here.
Thank you.
All nice and dry.here.
Thank you.
Took us two tries but we got it in the end. May need to move a meter from the clue.
263. A pretty tough cache to get out but at least we know it sticks! I added a few tiny goodies inside, thanks
Found it but had to go back to the car to get a TOTT to retrieve it. Thanks for placing this cache.
Last cache for the day before heading home. Hunted around the area trying not to be seen by muggles. After looking for a while, consulted the hint, which didn’t help much as we were already looking in the area. Finally looked in a hidden space and found the cache. Signed and replaced back in its spot.
Cache 12 of 12 today.

We drove to Quirindi to see the fabulous painted silos. They were completed in December 2022. We found the cache easily. The magnets are fairly strong so bring a tool or pliers for easier retrivial. Tftc
A trip to check out some of the awesome places in NSW and grab some old caches. TFTC.
Took a little while to find. Glad to find the only cache in town.

We had hoped to find this one today but alas it wasn’t to be. While the daughter was playing in the park, I attempted this one but came away empty handed.
Thanks anyway The Quipollyites

Not long before cache found,in good condition, nice and dry, new log. Nicely placed, perfect spot to stop for a quick break. Thanks for placing this cache here
No luck for us today, we did scour the spot too.... clearly its either missing or we missed it!
I took longer here than I should have to find this cache, as it's not a complicated hide. Cache and log are good. TFTC The Quipollyites.
Don't push in too far. Great cycle from Murrurundi with a tail wind, cranking it today so far.

The long drive Brisbane to Canberra ... needs a few targetted distractions to break the drive and give me something to be aiming for, enthused about. A few attribute combos for random challenges and some new LGAs along the rough trajectory. Quick find here for me today.
Thanks The Quipollyites for entertaining me at this location.

Stop and revive and cache. Quick find after stopping nearby for the toilet break. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Return trip to Sydney, in town for the weekend for the annual swap meet.
We had a blast in the heritage museum. It’s a big kids toy heaven.
Thank you for having us.
Might return one day with a caravan in tow.
