Travelling with richlink as part of our Annual Caravan Geocaching Trip. We are based in Nurioopta, doing a bit of sightseeing around the surrounding countryside using geocaching as our guide. The black & white tracks lead us to vaious GZ. Thanks for placing this cache Hurtle.
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state WA. Spending a few days in Nuriootpa to cache the surrounds. Loving the scenery that we pass as we move through the caches - this is our preferred caching - not suburbs. Drizzly day but the farmers definitely need it. Sticking to the black and the white roads. Thanks Hurtle
Found with LB and Jolly0 caching our way to Burra.A beautiful day to be out with friends TFTC
On the way to Burra with Jolly0 & earthlight. We stopped by here made the find on a glorious sunny day.TFTC Hurtle
Found it! Another interesting piece of history in this sleepy little town. TFTC!
A lovely cool morning for a change had us caching in Waterloo and surrounds.Yep we would definitely not have seen this if the cache was not there. Many thanks for the hide Hurtle
Decided I needed a day’s geocaching so made the trip to Hanson through to Saddleworth before coming home via Auburn and Clare. All caches were in good condition unless mentioned. TFTC
Nice piece of history about the lamp.
Nice piece of history about the lamp.
An interesting piece of history here, didn’t expect to see it, cache easily found and is all good
Today after my own two events in the city I decided to head away for a night of camping, caching along the way mainly focusing on caches yet to be found around the Goyder LGA, by the days end I found myself camped up in Caroona Creek Comservation Park. A great day out enjoying the SA country side and found around 60 caches
Thanks for the cache

12522 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 1155. Now on our way home the long way. Interesting how the Lamp Post survived all this time.SL Tnx Hurtle
Would definitely have driven past here without finding this little piece of history if it wasn’t for caching. Easy find. TFTH
A fun day caching with JJ52 and Michells&hound finding caches in the area. A lot of churches and cemeteries were visited. I ended up with about 50 finds. Thanks for bringing me to this spot which I wouldn't have seen if not for it. Favourite from me. TFTC Hurtle
Today was a big day out of caching with part of the JAMS crew today it was JJ52 Allister w and myself.
We met up at 7.15am and headed off on an adventure to the East of Clare. We targeted cemeteries and Used2B churches.
All up we found around 50 caches each as well as a bonus FTF on an amazing cache at Spring Gully.
It was a fabulous day and we all had a great time. It was interesting to visit some smaller off the beaten track historical towns.
Thanks to all the CO for putting out and maintaining hides for us to find.
Cool old lamp post and history TFTC hurtle

A caching day had been organised with Michells&hound and allister w to head north and find caches that all three of us hadn't found. It was a great day for caching and we had a lovely day driving on some out of the way tracks and roads, through some of our quaint little towns visiting lots of Used 2B Churches and historical sites. We even made a smallish detour to grab a FTF in Spring Gully Conservation Park.
A different sort of Lost Heritage. Great that it has been saved.
Thanks for the cache Hurtle.

The Non Wangaratta Event Tour 2021!
Covid has postponed the Mega in Victoria until January but leave had been granted for AnyMules to attend with me and Bushfire. So Anymules and I went on a tour to Eyre Peninsular and mid north South Australia instead whilst Bushfire joined us in spirit only as covid meant he couldn't come here either. Not needing anything for my yearly goals I hoped I didn't add too many to the DNFs [B)]
Day 6: Time to head home, caching as we go.
Wow, I never would have guessed what this was without the sign. The cache was a quick find and another case of a place I never would have gone to if not for caching.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers from over fifty to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks Hurtle for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Nothing but day light . Would not have seen the post if not for the cache. Thanks.
Day 1
quick park and grab.
found with Mogni and Jacknor. We where heading up Carrieton for a couple of days and then on to the Flinders Rangers for 5 days. The plan was to find as many of the church multi's as we could going up and then bright and early the next day head off to the " Bendleby Ranges " 4 x 4 tracks. Then clear the next section of multi's between Carrieton and Rawnsley Station and of course a few stray trads that would help Jacknor's jasper grid. A straight week of over 30 degrees meant less hiking than planned but we still got to the top of Rawnsley Bluff as well as some other smaller hikes. The Rawnsley station 4 x 4 track was completed and by then it was time to decamp and start the drive home. Stopped at orroroo and cleared the town out before going back to the church multi grind. All caches that where found that were brittle or damaged were replaced and extra logs added to those caches that the scroll was full or almost full, except for nano's. Nano's are evil spawn and you can do your own maintanence on them.

Long weekend in Auburn, this was found on our drive around the area. Another classic piece of SA history, well done. TFTC
Catching up with some late logs.
Heading down from Cameron Corner slowly making my way south I found so many caches in Orroroo that I decided to camp the night and grab some more before I left this morning.
That completed I was again heading south.
These out of the way interesting locations are what caching is about for us. Nice quick stop with some information thrown in. This one would be very easy to drive past and not see with out a reason to stop.
The log was signed and all replaced before leaving.
Many thanks Hurtling Posties for the cache and information.

For the last four years a group of us friends have taken our caravans to a different park not too far from the city.
This year we are in the lovely town of Riverton.
On day two we traveled up to Black Springs to help celebrate a fiftieth birthday and found and signed a few caches on the way up and then back.
This cache was one that I found.
Thanks.

Interesting piece of history!
Looks like a slab broke off recently, so hopefully it will still be standing for a few more years.

Brodie and I went for a lovely drive tonight
Headed out after tea and returned later than expected due to a flat tyre at Riverton , which I had to change despite my exceedingly sore arm, as it was far quicker than waiting for the RAA
Only problem was that the wheel nuts had been done up so tight that I had to stand on the wheel brace to release them
We managed to dodge all of the heavy rain, thankfully , and find 10 caches over all including a cache with more than 10 favourites for this year's GC.com August mission [^] and also a FTF to really start the month of August off well!
Unless mentioned otherwise, please know that your cache and log book was in good condition.
That's a cool piece of history and a quick find of a cache

Decided it was time to get off my butt and head north as there was a nice weather cell coming in this afternoon that I hoped to photograph in a nice location. So I headed north to a conservation park for a bit of 4wding, photography and some caching
So easy to drive past this one... I had to do a u turn as I missed it hahaha
Thanks for the cache Hurtle... bit jealous atm because of where you are!!!

A really interesting spot that I would have otherwise missed! Found with Dr Owl and clare007 on a backroads run! Thanks Hurtle for the hide!!
Owl and Clare007 were out with CPwanderer on the way to his 12,000th cache. This one was a great addition and pandered to Owl's love of history. Oh, and it was found!
Out & about with CPWanderer & Dr Owl caching around the back blocks today.
Dr Owl had the cache before I could even ask!!
Thanks for bringing us to some interesting heritage Hurtle

Very cache-worthy. As you said, something you'd never notice just whizzing past. And great they have the interpretive sign or you would be left wondering what it was. Thanks.
Enjoyed the history of the lamp and of the famous local on the signboard near the playground

Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi. Was working nearby and needed a break so what better way than to go find a cache or two. Loved the lamp post. Have driven past many times without even noticing it. Thanks for drawing my attention to this piece of history. Signed log and replaced. Gratias pro cache

Alas, it appears the relic is sucumbing to the ravages of weather and time, the centre section now missing .
Not too many people visit Waterloo these days, but the cache will help create a little more traffic .

Thanks Hurtling Posties.
