It was too hot to continue on with the kids. Will try again another time.

Found the eyes but couldn’t find the second part, can anyone help?

23-Mar-23
The first time I was here I looked around a certain area and couldn’t see anything unusual. I returned today and looked around a bit further and quickly found the WP this time.
At the final, I looked around for a long time. I searched the thick, spiky plants pretty thoroughly and couldn’t find anything. It’s either been taken or overgrown

This geocacher reported that the cache might be missing.

I didn't know what I was looking for. When I found it I knew I was in the right place. It's deep in the trees.

We looked into the eyes then went on a wild goose chase for the remainder of our visit to the dead centre of town

I managed to get an early mark from work today and headed of to grab a few caches. I needed to get a few more for a challenge I have set myself. Looking at what was near by, today I was going to head over to Mt. Cootha. I had a few caches that I had solved in there and a couple were just nice quick easy walks.

This was the next one on my list for today. I parked up and started my walk around looking for a waypoint or a clue to my next point. I could not find anything, the hint meant nothing to me here. I phoned a friend and asked for some help, but the phone rang out. I packed up and continued on my way. An hour and a half later and my PAF called me back. I explained what and where and yes I finally was given a help.

At the final and it was a little strange to find a bunch of paths in the area and the cache beside a path. I got a smile when I saw the theme continue here. I signed the log and replaced the cache as found, thanks for this one and all good with the final, not sure on the waypoints tho, it may have been me.

Great multi. Cache was an easy find once we had the coordinates.
Cache is very dry and in good condition.
Grabbed the Ballarat Jamboree scout badge. Our geo kid is out this weekend leading their much planned hike to get their Australian Scouting Award. Finding this was very fitting today!
Have a favourite point.

DNF w Ali this morning. It was the first cache attempt of the day. We spent 11am to 11pm caching, with a spa pamper in between…. That didnt help, we couldn’t find anything for this.

We had attempted this cache earlier in the week but decided to abandon the search due to inclement weather and try again. Today we were successful. We enjoy Zombies as a film genre and caches that have associations with cemeteries as a cache genre. We have been in Queensland for a few weeks now and are slowly beginning to understand the flavour of caches north of the Tweed.
We are looking forward to heading back to Queensland for the Mega in Townsville and then back to the Brisbane area so Mrs Dromaniax can do two units face to face instead of distance. We enjoyed this cache, and it is in excellent condition. We add another FP to the long list already granted.

After an unsuccessful outcome on my first try here, a previous finder kindly reached out and provided the missing details.
With a bit of spare time this morning between appointments, I swung by here to see if I could make the find.
After a bit of a look around I soon had the final cache in hand.
Thanks G-nome for taking over this cache and keeping it going. An FP from me.

Out doing the km for my 2021 Great Cycle Challenge and what a place to do so than in the Dead Centre of Brisbane.

Some are claiming that Nostradamus predicted a zombie apocalypse for 2021, pointing to the following passage that the French philosopher supposedly wrote: "Few young people: half−dead to give a start. Dead through spite, he will cause the others to shine, And in an exalted place some great evils to occur: Sad concepts will come to harm each one, Temporal dignified, the Mass to succeed." Hmmm, that doesn’t exactly say the words “zombie” and “apocalypse.” The words “half-dead” and “great evils” may suggest zombies, but it could apply to some politicians as well.

It’s not even completely clear whether Nostradamus, otherwise known as Michel de Nostredame, actually wrote that passage. Attempts to contact Nostradamus have been unsuccessful, since he’s not on Twitter and he did live in the 1500’s.

On a more serious note I had the pleasure of running into the President of the Friends of Towong Cemetery this morning while doing the AL's within this place. We had a good chat about the place and he has a wealth of knowledge. I mentioned a few spots i had already seen and others i still had to find and he was able to tell the story of each of the graves / people. I feel enriched by the experience of meeting this man and his wife. Cool

TFTC! Our first ever multicache. We needed some help from David for the 2nd way point as the 2nd zombie isn't there anymore. After some hunting and nearly giving in, we eventually found the physical Cache! Thank you so much. Loved the story and ascetics!

I initially commenced this multi-cache with jesswrigley on 4/07/2021, visiting the two waypoints. We approached these waypoints from inside the cemetery, managing to find the nicely themed Waypoint 1 cache reasonably quickly, obtaining the south coordinates. However, as others have mentioned, evidence of Waypoint 2 was present, but otherwise the information was unable to be found, and definitely missing/gone. Hence, a PAF was made in order to discover the missing east coordinates for GZ. Since GZ wasn't within walking distance, jesswrigley and I elected to make the cache find another day.

This evening, and needing a multi-cache type for today's calendar day, I remembered about this multi-cache ready to be found. I managed to park nearby, and after following a few trails about the place, the cache was found hidden away. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and another nicely themed container. Thanks K8'n'Co. for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Was in the cemetery doing an AI and thought I’d check on the WPs as I did this one last year. WP2 is definitely missing. WP1 is in good condition.

Found zombie one OK but one the cloak belonging to Zombie number two.
Reached out to another zombie hunter for some directions.
Made the find and rescued a TB
Thank you for hiding this geocache K8'n'Co.

After visiting last week just on dark, I knew it was time to leave as I didn't want to find myself in trouble.
Returning today I was able to find WP1, but only remnants of WP2. Have advised the CO.

Doing a couple of caches on a wet and rainy day around Mt Coot-tha, we decided to tackle this one up too! Thanks for the cache!

04-Oct-20
Awesome zombie theme! We didn’t know what to expect. We found the two waypoints okay and retrieved the final coordinates. We couldn’t find the final prize as there was quite a lot of rubbish in the vicinity which made it difficult. Will come back another time. Waypoint 1 is slightly out but not too much.

28-Aug-20
Was on the wrong track a couple of weeks ago with the waypoints but after reading comments, found them pretty quickly today. Did a big circuit of the cemetery finding all the caches pretty easily including this one. Picked up the Peace tb and left Friendly Fairy/Helium the Alien tb.

Well, this one was dead fun!

I had plans to spend some time caching at Mt Coot-tha today, and decided to stop by here on the way up. Really glad I did. Not sure how clues that big manage to survive the passing muggles, both dead and undead. But they have survived quite well, and I was quickly able to deduce GZ.

I am never to be trusted with basic skills like copying down numbers without error, or basic arithmetic, so multis are usually a problem for me. Imagine my surprise when I actually found a decent sized cache at GZ!

Signed the log, left a TB to "enjoy" the scenery, and returned as found. Lovely cache, thanks CO!

23-Aug-20
A slower weekend for me, especially lately, decided on a swing around a cemetery in order to make the point I ain't dead yet. Whilst chasing specific graves of dead people I also happened to find a live one so we followed a semi-live zombie here for the somewhat interesting find. Another clever K8 cache in a suitable location. Nice.
Thanks K8'n'Co. for entertaining me at this location.
Cool *{Overall find #8016}* Cool

Found 02.08.20 with Jorien16. Credit to Jorien16 for tolerating me and my frustration, finding the cache first, and claiming her prize - the trackable.

Fitting time to find this themed cache with the whole global pandemic going on! Stay safe out there guys.

Found 02.08.2020 with Eloicius. GPS caused some frustration but finding the cache made it worth it! Lovely themed multicache, thank you!

This was fantastic fun! The only scream I uttered was when I walked into a spider web. Otherwise my hunt was deathly silent. I went to hard way to GZ, but my quads needed the work out. I would give you two favourite points if I could. TFTC

08-Jun-20
Without wishing to repeat chunks of 5Meerkats log, I looked at this cache years ago and could not find any appropriate zombies at that time...

Today though, different story completely... found all the necessary zombies and found the final with my brains intact...

Tftc... left some American coin and Meg’s Eiffel Tower Tb to carry on... oh and have another fave point!

31-May-20
I have been bitten by the caching bug again after about 4 years of being a practicing muggle. It has only been a week and I've ratcheted up about 10 finds. It has been amazing looking at the map again and seeing just how many caches have popped up during my slumber.

This one was just too good to resist. A K8'n'Co cache close to home with 74 favourite points. I simply must do this one before the caching novelty, once again, wears off!

So I made plans with my muggle sister for an afternoon in the cemetery this afternoon looking for zombies. She laughed on the phone when I proposed the outing, but she knew the score and spending time together was the name of the game.

We made our way over and with the benefit of daylight found both WP's and the final very quickly. We loved the attention to the theme which is characteristic of all K8 caches. So, for getting me excited and giving my sister and I a lovely afternoon out, I top up the favourites to 75!

TFTC K8'n'Co!

It was getting late in the day so before the sun set and the gates to Zombieland close we raced in and found the cache.
At the mentioned WP's we found the info required. We limbered up and headed to GZ where we found the cute little resting place for the log book. We doubled tapped it before retrieval to make sure no nasties where attached.
All was good so we added our names to the list, dropped off a TB and made our way to the safety of the outside world.

Great ... great .. well thought off and executed cache ... geokids and I had a brilliant time finding this .. went a bit off course with waypoint 1 but after finding waypoint 2 a quick trek back as we knew what we were looking for ..we love Toowong cemetery.... TFTC .. definite favourite from us

Found during a walk around the Toowong Cemetery to stretch the legs after a long drive up from Adelaide over the last four days. Thanks for the cache K8'n'Co.!

16-Apr-19
I went after this cache a few days ago and as I was having difficulty at the first WP it was after 6pm when I got to GZ and I was scared of getting caught in the Cemetery grounds after dark and cop a fine so I abandoned search and returned today. Arrived at GZ and the rain poured down so once again I abandoned search and went to find another cache not far away. Rain stopped so returned to an easy find. Signed log and replaced cache as found. I do like Cemetry caches as they always show interesting information. TFTC

I was out and about on this lovely Saturday afternoon.. I had this one earmarked for Cache Carnival but despite already earning all the souvenirs I was still keen to pay it a visit. I found a handy place to park, had a bit of a wander through the overgrown cemetery and easily found the waypoints. Very fitting indeed . Onwards to the final and a fantastic final resting place. FP for a great multi . Tftc ️

10-Feb-19
quartpotpobblebonk LOVES cemeteries and this one has long been a favourite - before the presence of zombies in the area was made known.
But a cache by K8'n'Co is usually too good to pass up and so, after too long an absence from the game, it was time to hop back into it.
The first zombie was hiding but the second one revealed itself readily enough (admittedly dusk was closing in fast). quartpotpobblebonk stared into the eye while Reluctant Caching Companion lingered nearby swatting mosquitoes and worrying about monsters.
Back to find the first zombie. Ah-hah! The buggers must be starting to emerge for the evening. This zombie appears slightly worse for wear.
Off for the next stage. Now, we could be sensible or we could just follow the compass - because what could possibly go wrong?
After some scrambling some sweat and at least one slide, we came across the final resting place of this cache.
Thanks, as always, to the cache owner. That was a fun way to spend a summer evening.
Left a few path tags.

In my late teenage years, I had a girlfriend who liked to walk around cemetaries at night. It wasn't really something I was into if I'm truthful, but being quite smitten (at least temporarily) with her, I obliged. Anyway, enough of the memories in the deep dark recesses of my noggin.... to the cache - in daylight no less!

I have been putting this cache off for ages, but with a mini milestone beckoning today, I figured it was about time I stopped and slayed me a few zombies.

All in good order. Thanks Mr Co

A favourite point from me.
Thanks totalube for placing the cache.

Zombies quickly located , then to the newly inputted location we trekked to this cache’s final resting place . Swapped in a plane for a tiny trinket, and noted that the listed TB is no longer enclosed. Enjoyed this multi for its creativity, theme, and for the large container at the end, so we’re leaving it with a FP. TFTC!

04-Mar-18
As i was riding around this beautiful cemetary the other day, and missed this one entirely somehow, i decided upon this being my target today. Not anticipating the sun frying my poor body, i was drenched in sweat while going in circles at the first wp, so thought i'd try the second. Ahah. Now knowing what im looking for, back to wp1 for a quick find, then on and up for a brief dig around gz before securing and signing log duties were done.
Thank you k8'nCo for a very well thought out and fun multi!

13-Feb-18
Nice one. Cable ties have broken on the second zombie

28-Jan-18
After attending an Australia Day event earlier, I came to Mt Cootha in search of the caches. I had the whole day free because my wife and one daughter were off to see Rocky Horror, my other daughter was working and I don’t mess with my son and his girlfriend (please no grandkids yet).

The rain was on and off but as soon as I stepped out of the car it started pissing down. I had an umbrella with me but I was precious about my shoes. I had driven from Redcliffe and did not want to leave empty-handed so I jumped back in the car and checked the radar. It looked sporadic and so after five minutes I threw my old-person glasses on (like that creepy teacher we all remember that would ogle you over his/her glasses) and started reading the Sunday paper.

30 minutes passed and I was starting to run out of letters to the editor that get your blood boiling and the rain eased a bit and I set sail.

I have always been a strong advocate for a zombie attribute on caches. I have been megalomaniacal in banging on about it in logs. I even visited my local member of parliament for support but apparently it’s not in the public interest. Just wait until you want to go caching after the apocalypse starts. It will be a small win for the little people.

I found the coordinates at the first two waypoints in the rain under the umbrella which were very cool. I drove up the street to the final and am awarding a favourite point for a cracker cache. I hope if I ever become a zombie they leave my face intact. It’s scary enough on its own. tftc

23-Jan-18
We went to Mt Coot-tha today to enjoy the gardens and the views. Did some caching and this was our target for the day. A fun multi. Glad we did it in daylight, although it was a stinking hot day..
Found both the zombies then got the info needed and drove to the final. It was just too hot to walk!!! The final cache looks quite new, and I have a fair idea what the original final was!!
We dropped off 2 travel bugs to continue their journey.
Thanks K8 for your effort

15-Jan-18
We decided for a tour around Mt. Coot-Tha this afternoon and to collect some puzzle and have some fun out in the bush.
Found the waypoints quickly and got all required information for the final.

Great idea.

This was a fun cache! We went for the second waypoint first, partly because people said it was easier, partly because that's the way we approached anyway, from where the car was parked. It didn't take too long to find the "zombie" and work out what we had to do, then waypoint 1 wasn't too difficult either. It was great fun to be caching again with Arch monkey, who got into the task of finding the cache with me, while the other 2 boys (Mr STW and muggle son) were happy today to be along for the walk and a chat. In fact, they both missed seeing the awesome cache as they elected to stand around talking while Arch monkey and Mrs STW did the job of unearthing the cache and signing.
I have to admit to using a car to get to the final, but we would have actually got there faster if we'd walked, as we went the wrong way.
The log was full and I happened to have a suitable replacement so I put that in and we both signed it. The cache box is falling apart with either termites or wet rot, and we couldn't get it to stay together properly so we disabled the spring on the lid. It's still there and still a great cache, but the container needs some TLC.
Thanks for a fun family afternoon cache!

17-Dec-17
Very cool cache. Unfortunately it looks like termites have gotten at the container.

11-Dec-17
That was fun! We took a little while at WP1 to find what we were looking for, and at WP2 it was then a quick find as we had a better idea of what we were looking for.
Scary stuff!
At GZ, it was a short stroll through some bushland and we could soon see that zombies are truly alive and well in this area. Tentatively we opened the container and did our best to stay quiet!
Definitely another favourite point added to this. Thanks for the efforts you have gone to, and the fun you have given us.

Almost got muggled out of the second coordinate by a broken down wedding car but still managed to retrieve the coordinates and bush bash to the final resting place. Thanks for such a great cache!

Once we found the the WP, the rest came quite easy, except for the trip to the cache itself.

Excellent cache. Favourited it straight away. Great work!!!

21-Sep-17
What a glorious sunny day for some Caching. We are in the Brisbane area for a few days of Caching. Well what a fun adventure this multi-cache was. Waypoints 1 & 2, where quick and easy to find and of great design. The final GZ was a cracker and certainly deserves a Favourite Point. LOG BOOK IS TOTALLY FULL and needs replacing. Many thanks for bringing us here. TNLN SL TFTC

After a bad run with multis recently I've been avoiding them.. And I've always tried to avoid cemetery caching but the 50+ FPs on this one was too much to resist!
I'm very glad I made the trip over because these WPs were great, and the final was fantastic! Definitely deserving of another FP! Thanks!

31-Aug-17
Out for the day with nikid1. My hubby loves a zombie apocalypse so have watched a few in my time but I must say I much preferred this one! I got to do the honours at GZ & loved this cache (even if I may have squealed a bit), well worthy of another favourite point.
Thanks for the fab multi K8'n'Co

31-Aug-17
What is there to say, but what a great cache.
KerriMG and myself were out this way and decided to do some caching in the Toowong cemetery. We had trouble finding the first zombie but once we found the second we went back and quickly found the first. As for the cache what a great construction! KerriMG opened the cache. I LOL'd.
Very deserving of every FP. So here's another. Thank you, thank you. Made my day.

12-Aug-17
Great little multi. Excellent ending. A favourite point. TFTC

06-Aug-17
I don't know why I haven't searched for this one before now but I had a couple of hours to spare today and headed to the area to check it out.

The interesting waypoints were easily found and then I took the stroll to the final cache.

Another surprise was in store for me here. I should have expected something like that for a K8'n'Co cache.

Definitely deserves a favourite point. Thanks for putting in the extra effort for this one.

Was up this way looking through the Botanical Gardens with Geokids and thought I would open up the geo app to see what cachers were nearby. Was scouting through and this one popped up - Zombie Apocalypse...... I most certainly had to make time for this one!
We found WP1 with a little bit of searching and looking through the most obvious places I though it would be hidden. We looked into it eyes and it willingly gave up it's secret....
Then onto WP2, which was found very quickly and without any casualties.
We decided to drive to GZ little bit too far for the Geokids as they were already tired from their day out. Found quickly and without unsettling the sleeping....to much!. I may have let out a little squeal when I went to retrieve the log lol. TFTC it was awesome and made for a great end to our day

Up at Mt Coot-tha forest for brunch with a muggle and a maintenance run and decided to pick off a few nearby caches.

Scooted down to WP1 and boy is it crowded in this neck of the woods

Well it's my birthday and I'll cache if I want to!! Having spent the morning at the markets, NyssaFlutterby and I had planned to spend the afternoon finally completing Indiana Co, but after a slight detour for an FTF, we had to adjust our plans for the afternoon as time would not be on our side, especially with Cupcake along. For the journey. Sooo....
I noticed this cache on my radar, and with a large number of FPs it was a fair assumption I would enjoy it. But oh the irony of caching in a cemetery on one's birthday....
NyssaFlutterby had already done this cache, so she decided to take Cupcake for some food while 1GiantPanda and I worked on this one, before we would meet up again later.
Arriving at the first waypoint, I was unable to turn up anything, so decided we would hedge our bets and try WP2 first. Well this turned out to be a good decision, as I found what we were after with a chuckle fairly quickly. Ok back to WP1, where I had thought that sort of thing should show up easily but had looked pretty thoroughly the first time. But hang on, what's that over there a few metres from the coords I have? Ahhhh! Yes!! Right! With a new set of coords plugged in, we were off! And not too far from GZ we saw Nyssa and Cupcake waiting. A short wander past them and I found what I was after, and waited for Cupcake to come over and see the cache too. This cache was a great surprise, and was well-worthy of an FP from me here today.
Thanks for the cache K8'n'Co..

BlackPearl26 and I are visiting Brisbane for the Confraternity Carnival and looking to pick up some high difficulty, highly favoured or rarer cache types during our down time. After today's games we decided to check this out. Had a little trouble at WP1 but had a fright when I found WP2. Knowing what I was looking for WP1 was then found quickly.
Numbers plugged into the iPhone and we were off to GZ. I expected to find something like the creative container but it still made me jump.
Thanks for your effort.

I've been meaning to check this one out for years, as the amount of favourites are hard to ignore. Finally got around to it today. Had trouble finding the first zombie, so doubled back to WP2. My phone's GPS was a little out, which had me stumped for a few minutes. A slight adjustment and I had found the startling WP2. A little unsettling! Now knowing what to look for, I expanded my search area and soon spotted what I was looking for. After a short hike, the final hide was found easily. Amazing detail put into this, I'll add my favourite to the many others!

Mrs Just a Trifle was out for a day of caching fun with Raynersinoz. As usual, we tried to select specific caches which would assist at least one of us with achieving various goals we each have Cool

This was our first cache of the day exploring Toowong Cemetry and it was quite a lot of fun, especially when we arrived at groud zero were we really got a surprise Surprised We had a great time along the way and overall had a very enjoyable day Wink

Thank you K8'n'Co. for having placed the cache for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy Cool A favourite point for the fun we had Wink

It's Thursday and time for some traipsing around Toowong with Mrs JAT Smile I had been wanting to have a go at the Toowong Cemetery caches for awhile, especially this one, but an opportunity hadn't come up until today. Mrs JAT and I went searching for some undead at each of the waypoints. Thankfully no brains were eaten in the process but I did have a moment when we found the cache, yikes!!! So glad you can't look for this one in the dark, that would be way too creepy. TFTC K8 'n' Co, another great effort Big Grin
