Visiting from Hervey Bay whilst chaperoning the parents for a 3 day hospital visit. Cheeky hide thanks
Tftc. Nice tribute. Great hide.Sadly log is full. Just squeezed initials in on tiny space.
Find number 478 for me today as I looked for a cache not too far from work to continue my current streak. When I saw it I couldn't believe I didn't see it more quickly! TFTC
After a paddle on the dam I wandered up to look for this classic. Took 2 looks but finally nutted it out. Love it. TFTC.
Out on a hot day for a few caches followed by a swim in the reservoir. This is a great hide. Took us a few mins to think through it then realized the beauty of the hide. TFTC
New Years Day swim nearby and thought to visit this old favourite.Left a path tag.
Had to check a spot twice before I found it. Great little walk to warm up while at the reservoir
Thought it was time to introduce CD to the creative genius of Wingaap . Cache is still in reasonably good condition but starting to show signs of age; tether is missing, & log is full, but there can still be space found as some earlier entries hv rubbed off. Cache still works & is def worth a visit. Especially after a refreshing paddle on the reservoir. TFTC. Next time we come for a paddle will hv to bring the hiking shoes to go visit a few more of the old classics in the area.
La Kedi I found your cache Wingaap Drive on 10/7/2023, 2:45 pm. This is my find 5884 and find # 6 today. Well done, wasn’t sure where the log sheet was until a second look. A favourite from me. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Found with DebOutAbout from school. Her first geocache so I thought I’d introduce her to our fabulous game with a great & unique cache! TFTC La Kedi.
As it is Favourite Fans month I decided to head out to Wingaap Drive today. And as I was approaching a milestone, I decided I would honour the great Wingaap by making this my 900th cache.
I found my first Wingaap cache in Stanthorpe in 2020. I’ve found a few since and I look forward to finding more in the future. But as you say his legacy is even greater than the caches themselves. It is the inspiration for others to be creative in their cache construction. And this will only have a ripple effect into the future of geocaching.
Thanks La Kedi for this wonderful tribute cache. The logbook was very full and difficult to write on. But the cache itself is brilliant!

Great hide, not in plain sight as i was led to believe. But there are clues in the description. T4tc
Thankyou for this great cache. When you see it, you see it and the smile on my face was huge. A little search for the log, signed and replaced. The log could do with replacing. I fear my mark may be on top of a feded past marking.
Great cache for our 300th find! Had us scratching our heads for a while but got it in the end!
Cache #800 for TeamLambo. What an amazing tribute for the guy that "owns" this stretch of Brisbane. Still have so many Wingaap caches to find and was very sad to see some of them archived recently. Looking forward to continue finding the remaining ones. Thank you to K8nCo for creating this tribute and LaKedi for the ongoing maintainence. Another fav point for the collection.
Came back to Enogerra today for a visit and realised that these geocaches weren't logged from last time! So logging them now haha, thanks for the cache!
My caching buddy Shazzar66 and I had planned a hiking/caching day around Enoggera Dam today, however the weather forecast had other ideas. Forecast as 100% chance of 15-25mm, we weren’t keen to be stranded in the middle of an 8-10K hike in the pouring rain, so instead we had decided to do a pile of caches along Mt Nebo Road. This was the first. It was only after doing about 6 or so after this one that we realised the significance of this cache. From here on in, every cache I did received a FP for the enjoyment that I received from the cache containers. Thanks to the ever-creative K8’n’Co for this cache, which was pretty cool.
PJATPAC and I tried to jetski to a local puzzle on Saturday without luck. In fact, we had no luck on a second puzzle in the area, too. So this was the only find for the day.
I parked nearby and started the search. It didn't take long for me to lookup and see the amazing sight. Well done K8'n'Co. Such a great tribute. TFTC!

Brilliant! I had a little time spare before Mr Meerkats gets here for a home so set off to find this one. Love it. Great geocache, great tribute. Thanks K8 n co
Really enjoyed this one! Super memorable without being too difficult a find.
Will be hard keeping my eyes on the road when I pass this way from now on.

A morning of caching from Walkabout creek. What an absolutely brilliant hide!! Definitely worthy of a favourite point. Log carefully located and scribbled on - all is good with the hide. TFTC
Wow! What a container!
In the area on a dreary morning and decided I had enough time for one last cache for the year. Filtered by X number of favourite points to make sure it was a good one. The filter didn’t disappoint. Have another point.

TFTC!
After retrieving a nearby cache with some friends new to the game, we went a little further down the road and grabbed this one. Looked around a bit until the obvious ah-ha! moment and log was soon in hand. What a great hide, TFTC!
Today I met up with Willis007 to find both solved puzzle and traditional caches. This was the last one before heading home. What an amazing tribute cache. The log was slightly damp and as others have said, old signatures seem to have rubbed off but was able to sign ok. I’ve not found many Wingaap caches so will look forward to finding more. Another FP from me too. Tftc
Very very sneaky. I feel that many names on the log have faded or worn off. Made my mark anyway. Also adding as a fav. TFTC
This morning, with COVID-19 lockdown in effect but fitness still allowed, jesswrigley and I took our mountain bikes, and headed for Enoggera Dam. We only ended up riding the top (northern) section of the dam, when the hilly terrain got the better of us, and we returned back to our car.
After our nearby MTB ride, we thought we would pull up here to check this geocache. Haha, this cache was great, and I’ve heard this coined phrase *Wingaap Drive* before given that CO's caches along this road, but never seen this formally named. Upon a short search, the inner cache and logbook was found, and both the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks K8'n'Co. for the cache placement, and La Kedi for its ongoing maintenance. A Favourite Point from me, to join the other 87 Favourite Points already accumulated with this cache!
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

Tftc. Probably the most effort that has gone into a cache that I have seen so far. Only #183 of my adventure though.
Had been working on a (multi) cache to hide today, so took the family, who are currently on holidays, for a drive to attempt to find a place to hide. We were about to head up Mt Nebo and we were remembering the great multi's that were once up this hill. As we hit the base of the mountain i pulled over, noticing this dedication cache previously. We had parked not very far and it didn't take us too long to find the cache container. Now to find the log book. Spotted something and we were in luck.
We started our caching experience on Mount Nebo in 2012 and feel very privileged to have been able to take the kids around over many weekends finding amazing structures.
Thanks very much for the cache, K8'n'Co a favourite point from us here, thanks La Kedi for on going maintenance, and of course thanks Wingaap for the wonderful start to our hobby. Cheers

Ha ha another creative K8 nCo cache. Fitting tribute. all good with the cache. TFTC
I really can’t fathom what has taken me so long to come out here and find this rather brilliant geocache! Today, however, this was rectified and The Marble and I, after looking foolishly around the area for slightly too long, suddenly spotted it, rolled our eyes at ourselves, and with enormous grins, proceeded to extract the geocache. A very fitting tribute and an excellent hide, indeed.

I found a few of the wingaap caches along this road back in 2014 and 2015, in the early days of my geocaching life and was immensely impressed with the creativity on display. I have been meaning to come back ever since and visit a few more along here but each time I head out this way it is either before sun up for the start of a long hike, or afterwards when the legs are just too tired to make an addition geocache visit.
Today I found my self out this way trying to suss out the final location for another cache. After no luck there, and with plenty of energy and time on my hands, I resolved to visit the rest of the wingaap caches on my to-do list.
This homage cache from another creative cache genius seemed a suitable place to end the morning's caching adventure. Soon spotted the cache hide and was able to sign my name into the logbook. TFTC

We had decided to take a walk along some of the trails here and found the carpark full so had to park out near GZ. We took that as a sign that we should find this cache to start our day and what a great choice that was. Such a fantastic tribute to a true legend of the game. When my kids were smaller, and actually liked to accompany me on caching days, wingaap's creations were always their favourites. I had such a smile on my face when I finally spotted the cache after a bit of a hunt here and there first. Wonderful. TFTC K8'n'Co.
Wow what a great cache. I have only found a few of wingaap's caches and only recently too. So when I saw I was only a few hundred meters from this cache I got my torch out, the sun had long gone to bed, and headed to GZ. It wasn't long before I spotted the tell take sign I was in the right place. Tftc
Wow, this is the best tribute cache I have seen. I have always loved caches by both of these COs how great to see the creativity here.
Thanks K8'n'Co for a fantastic cache, all is well with it. A fav from me.

Back into the game and its got me back out into the bush exploring. Today’s goal is a long hike between Enoggera Reservoir and Central Road. I’m training for Brisbane Trail Ultra 110km in July so a long hike on the trail will do me good. First stop was this cache. Brilliant!!! And a pretty mushroom nearby.
What an excellent dedication cache to a cacher that has provided me with such entertainment... my first Wingaap cache was just up the road “On a Dark Night” and I’ve been hooked on his creations ever since...
I found the log, no issue, however the mechanism to release it has become detached and it requires tweezers to retrieve...
Tftc... and have another fave point...

Cool cache and wasn’t expecting sign- couldn’t see log sheet inside took photos- tftc
So...we aren’t good with following the path. A little bush walk up and down but we found it. Didn’t have pen.
After collecting some lab waypoints nearby.
A well made cache, a lot of work must have gone into this one.
Thank you for placing this geocache K8'n'Co.

What a lovely cache. Even though it was easy to find, it took a little head scratching to get to the log. Very clever so scores a favourite point from me. TFTC
in the area and just had to show slammer one of my favourite hides
need to bring tin man and cleo out here

Very cool and a great tribute to Wingaap! A favourite for me! Thanks for the hide!
Wow. What a great cache for my hundredth find! Was out doing some caches along mt Nebo road, and this one was our first stop. Very glad we picked this one to do first, because we knew it had to be special for my hundredth. Sour_Lemom and Mayfly06 are not too far behind though! The log is a bit damp, but we could still sign it perfectly fine. Fp from me, TFTC!!
Great cache erm_the_worms hundreds cache good job erm_the_worm also found with Mayfly06 TFTC
Lucky enough to this with Erm_The_Worm for her one hundredth find!! Very nice hide. TFTC
Oh my goodness!
I don't want to spoil this cache for future finders, but it's amazing and so well deserved. It isn't a difficult find, but memorable for other reasons.
Wingaap, thanks for being such an amazing soul, and significant contributor to the geocaching community in South East Queensland. I've loved finding your caches, and am constantly amazed at how creative and artistic the cache containers are.
Throwing a FP on this cache as a gesture of thanks and appreciation.
Happy International Women's Day - a huge thank you to all the women in my life who have inspired me with their strength and character.

Easy find. Log was wet and full. Only had a paper based log to replace with which wouldn’t work, sorry TFTC

After looking in the wrong spot for too long, I opened my eyes and saw it in front of me. Amazing cache!
After having a nice morning walk through the reserve we decided to make the 30 second drive to this cache before getting some lunch as we have heard it is a cracker, we weren’t disappointed. We spotted it straight away and pulled something that just caused some blood, then choose the other part which just produced the other end in our hands. With one eye shut and one opened the log was spotted for our signature to be added.
Leaving behind another FP here for this cache.

We heard about this highly recommended drive when we attended a Cache Creation event. I have directed some cachers to visit this place so they can collect all the souvenirs on offer.
TFTC K8'n'Co..Nicely done. A favourite point from me. Log is full, we managed to find some space to sign our names on top of the obscured logs. The cache container needs checking too.

Out in the area with E_Smiley picking up a few highly recommended caches that have been on our to-do list for quite some time. Really enjoyed the work that went into this one, well done CO and a favorite point from me.

Took the little dudes out today. We were going to start on a long Wingaap walk when our little dudes little legs weren't up for the outing. We will be back to tackle the mountain in the near future. everyone still had fun finding this cache!
Cheers! Spellzen, Teazr, Chase and Zayne.

Took just a little searching on this outing with the little ones but we got it! Tftc! Teazr, Spellzen, Chase and Zayne
I love this one. Coming up to this spot this is not what we thought it would be. Our geogirls were looking in all the wrong places as I walked up to GZ. As I got within 10m I was like bingo. Thank you for bringing us here.
We were excited to see the favourite points on this one, so we headed down after a short hike. Looking at the large road signs, we were excited to see the cache itself was a little less obvious. Love it, TFTC
I had been craving a Geocaching adventure for quite a while and with the Cache Carnival still happening I thought finding creative caches in the area would be incredible and it would also get up my points.
This was the first one we found today. We parked at the parking waypoints and took a quick stroll up to GZ. After about 15 seconds we saw this great cache! Certainly a favourite point coming your way. Thank you so much for placing and maintaining this excellent cache.

Haha I initially tried that and then I was like wait nah has to be. It was! X. Didn't find a red herring though
What a beauty this one was! The moment it started belting down with rain, I left work to begin my muggle-free search for a highly anticipated smiley. After quite a bit of second guessing , a nifty little cache was in hand. A well-earned FP for an outstanding cache. TFTC
Am in Bne visiting daughter. With a bit of time to myself, I decided to get some Carnival points. Searched around a bit until I discovered something a bit out of place. Then I discovered the container. Clever. TFTC K8'n'Co
It is a while since I was in Wngaap Drive and there were now a few caches which would help me achieve awards in the Cache Carnival so I headed to the area today to get a few points on the board.
I made the search for this one harder than it need to be by not looking at the big picture and focussing on the small things. Once the penny dropped I gave a groan. I don't know why I hadn't spotted the obvious earlier.
Thanks K8'n'Co. A great tribute to a great fellow with some great caches in the area which I was looking forward to finding later in the afternoon.
Another FP to the count.
