Easy to find

23-Oct-24
Last one along here, time to head for a shower and feed. Took a while to find, until I opened my eyes!First morning here and headed out before breakfast for a few finds. Nice to be out before it hrats up too much, and the school/work traffic increases. After a few weeks in Penang, Malaysia I'm back home and keen for a few days off away with mrs c. I'd booked the work bach prior to heading away so a 3 night break in Havelock North was appealing. Not a huge cache-fest, I'd decided to forego the Mega in Dunedin, but still nice to move around and pick off a few here and there. The weather was awesome, similar temperatures to South East Asia, but without the humidity. Thanks to all COs for their hides and maintenance.

It's December, and to help me achieve one of my Geocaching goals I need to log 300+ caches this month, which means an average of ten a day. I started off well, but had a glitch in the middle which has left me behind on my target. However, I left home a couple of days ago and cached my way up through the Wairarapa to Napier (here for a concert tonight). After two very successful days, I started today with only ten caches left to find to meet my goal. Well, I made it to my target of 300. Now to collect a few extras, just in case, or just cos. --- Thanks to mrBmrsP for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues. [DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge

Over the last 3 days I've been visiting the Hawkes Bay a visit to catch up with a mate recently moved that way, but all good times must come to and end and today was the long drive home to the Horowhenua.

I was last here just over a year ago, and at that time did the Weird n Wacky trail. Today I thought I'd give the bigger St Georges power trail a go. It was definitely a game of two halves. The numbers 11 through to 18 proved to be no trouble at all, whilst 1 to 9 had more DNFs than finds!

This was one of the rare finds on this side of Havelock Rd. I found the co-ords were slightly off for me on this one, but a quick find here nonetheless. Encountering no issues here with either the Cache or the Logsheet, the logging etiquette was soon dealt with and everything replaced as found.

Thanks for setting this cache up.

#12,322. Park and grab on Saint Georges Road in Pukahu, Hawke's Bay. Fortunately, GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Quick find. The cache was in good condition. Although the log was a little damp, it was still good to write on. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Today we hired a bike for a tour around Hastings. There are some trails we want to do so off we go.
We found most of the caches in good condition, a few could need a little maintenance. And we must come back one more time, because we missed a few.
To all the CO’s, thanks for hiding and maintaining the caches.

09-Oct-19
Have been eyeing up this series for a while. Today passing through on our way home to Gisborne and had some spare time. Managed to find 18 with 2 DNFs. Will plan to return. Thanks for set this up. Easy one to start with.

I found the co ords to be slightly out but widening the search I soon had the prize in hand.

I'm sorry I am very behind in my logs having recently lost a finger which makes typing very painful. Apologies as my logs won't be as complete as usual.

On a weekend to Napier with Bennett24 came and looked for quite a few caches and this was one of them. We did all of this series and I can't remember too much about them - too much tramadol maybe. Good fun doing the series.

Thanks for the cache. I'm sorry about the cut and paste logs but hand is getting super sore.
