I was prepared to jump the fence, but the gate was open! Gave up on GPS and searched by eye and within a minute I had located the cache. TFTC!
Like the previoous cacher we discovered that the cache is out of bounds, but still easily reached. The log is indeed sopping wet and we used the piece of paper added by MadCat9.
Off limits strictly speaking but I did a quick sneaky. Log book soaked. Added my own paper. Tftc
Down south once again for work and with bit of spare time to complete a number of tasks that I had set for myself. This included collecting a number of caches that have been sitting in my "to Collect" list for some time as they meet various requirements for challenges that I have set myself.
So wiith a nice and early start, it was always going to be a big few days caching and the work conforence that I was attending was still (damm it) going to be a priority.
Down from the hills around Godley Reserve and time to collect a few caches that I solved sometime earlier
So thanks to all the cache owners for the set ups and apologies for taking so long to log them but the logging of caches had to take a back seat to collecting the APE CACHE
thanks for the placement, thanks for the cache

The area is now fenced off, no one around so did a wee sneaky climb, cache not far from fence, but may need to be moved tftc
#12200. It was pretty muggly in the area around GZ (a warm autumn day brought the mountain bikers out in force), but we managed to find and replace the cache without attracting attention. TFTC.
We thought we should take advantage of the good weather (and what a fabulous day it was too) and walk up the Worsley Track today before it closes for logging. It's been a while since we were last in the area and it looks like urban sprawl is creeping up here as well.
The concrete block make good seats, so a woman was sitting on one near GZ when we arrived. She seemed preoccupied so we swooped in for the find and brought it back to a vacant block to do the paper work. By the time we had finished and were ready to replace the cache, two other groups of people had arrived and seemed to be hanging around. Damn. I walked back to GZ, and admired the view then retied my shoelaces while returning the cache. Pretty sure I was unobserved. TFTC.

With the news about the park. My sister and I thought it was time to do these so off we went.
Lots of bikers around here - had to choose our time carefully but got there in the end

With news of the impending changes around this area, my sister and I (with daughter in tow) decided to knock off what caches we could.
Seems to be a good stopping spot for the mountain bikers. GPS jumping a bit. Had a quick nosey but we were soon overrun by many mountain bikers. Had a conversation with one of them which managed to distract enough of them while my sister grabbed the cache. By the time we had signed the log, most mountain bikers had disappeared so it was able to be returned to its hiding spot with less haste than it was retrieved. Thanks for the cache.

Having heard that part of the forest was closing for construction of the new bike park NotManlyJack and I decided it was time to get up here and find the caches either side of Worsleys Road; (or is it Goose Track)?
This was the one of twelve finds for the day. We took so long walking up and back, and finding the caches, that we didn't have much time to devote to WPT2 of the Mens' Multi. Will have to try again!
Apologies for the cut and paste logs, I'll try to add a little something specific to each...
I wasn't sure from the app map how far apart the two tracks were so was expecting a bit of bush bashing to get to this GZ. Was relieved to see how close they were! Another nice easy find.

With news of the potential temporary closure of the forest surrounding this track, I decided to head up the track today to clear out the caches here just in case they are affected by the nearby development. Was joined by Lyttelton Witch and Bigglespoonies. Thanks for the cache, and the series of caches places here.
Hitting the Woslesy track and some of the caches on it. After a bit of annual leave this is my last evening before I start back tomorrow. So a bit of reflection and fun before that. Had to wait for a couple of mountain bikers to pass the swooped in for the prize ..signed the log. Thanks for bringing me here to this place, TFTC TwoSharpe , from Mr Cuddly Brick (or MCB if is a small log), 11 March 2016, cache number #1257!

A stunning day today. And I had a volunteering shift tonight, so seeing as that meant it was necessary to find caches on the lunch break, decided to go for a walk somewhere up the hills, making the most of the lovely weather, and find a few.
Picked Worsleys Track, as there were quite a few new ones here since last time I'd been up, and lunch break could be long enough to drive this far.
Grabbed mum, and off we went.
Stopped for this one on way down given track was now empty here.
Took forever!! So many possible spots, and the hint didn't narrow it down!! Found it just after giving up though

Since it was a lovely warm sunny day, we decided to go for a lunchtime walk with daughter. Ideal weather to be out and about! The road looks a bit weathered even for a 4WD! We went as far as feasible before daughter was due back for a meeting. There were two guys on bikes when we were going up, so originally we aborted mission, but stopped on the way back down. Still not much luck initially, as the GPS's were jumping around and there were a lot of potential hiding places. We gave up when daughter decided to check one more spot Great place, TFTC!!
Found it but then got a bit confused - it has an iron maiden album cover in the lid? Tftc.
Walk up, found cache fully exposed, so signed and covered with needles and pine cones, thanks
Reperio at 0700.
I headed out this way to grab a newly published cache this morning, and so stopped by a couple on the way back down. Arrived at GZ and soon spotted the cache sticking up out of the ground...and given that it's so close to the track, it's a wonder it was still there. Enjoyed the short walk.

Have been enjoying the day out with my little dogs collecting a few caches long the way. Cheers for putting a trail here.
I couldn't find it to save myself when geowife said oh there it is. Sure I'd looked there. TFTC.
After the storm last night the morning dawned clear and this enticed me to go visit all the avian species now resident near Worsley's Track. Didn't think that I would see a pukeko up and so it proved. But the cache was quickly found. TFTC.
Took a litttle while to find, got there in the end.
A lovely day for a walk on the Port Hills. Plenty of caches up Worsley's Spur.
Thanks for the hide.

Just time for one before sunset. Took a few minutes to track down but all good. TFTH
Glad that a lot of these caches are under cover with the rain coming down. TFTC. Cheers Bo
After the misfortune with the nearby Iron Maiden cache (for a strange reason we always have to visit them twice!) it was a pleasure to find another cache. TFTC
Gosh the track is muddy today. Finally got out of the rain to find this cache. A couple of young MTBers were stopped at GZ so we told them what we were up to. One of them said he had done geocaching with scouts so knew all about it. The cache was a quick find. TFTC.
Another day another cache and a bit of a walk to go with it. Been up here a few times over the last few weeks picking up a cache a day. An easy spot but grabbing required a bit of stealth with a few MB's passing by. TFTC
Oh yay this lead me from the muddy Worsley track that I knew into a lovely pine forest. I prefer native forest but I prefer exotic forest to muddy tracks with gorse. I am loving this series.
Wet weather and further up that track don't help a couple of ancient pedestrians. Really surprised at it's condition even though I had seen photos. Born and bred in South ChCh and never been up here before.
Thank you. Watch out for mad MTBers. They just appear.

A nice straight forward find, we did see some Pukeko on the flat.
Cheers and thanks,

TFTC Thanks for the walk under the pines. Tested my GPS under the pines, its works better than the old one I had.
FTF at 10:50ish pm with TheWanglers
Out and about on a cold blusterty rainy haily monday nights adventure with TheWanglers. TWs 300th FTF was within reach and after FTFing the newly published Wherigo the rain was kind of holding off....so we decided a bit of a hill walk would be 'fun' - especially for me in my gummies!
Drove up the access track a wee bit (before it got deep rutty!), parked up, and started to walk up hill. Rain kind of held off....plenty of hail on the ground & there was quite a river coming down. Great fun. Beforehand we had both kind of picked the area this one would be....and we were right.....soon had the cache in hand, TW's 299th FTF.....and then we started up the MTB bike track...Goodfun. Thanks.

Out and about on this freezing cold wintery night with TG to mop up some of the new horsey puzzles out Rangers way. We were dressed for the ocassion. About fifteen layers, I was wearing three hats and had the gummies on. It wasn't cold enough to wear shorts though . We had seen the there was a cache up Worsleys Road earlier in the evening and had plans to grab the one published earlier today but we headed out to Rangers in hope that the weather would ease before we headed up the hill in the dark, stormy night. I had a cache published and then a few more came out too. This one was one of them and I got my phone talking with my GPSr and was able to download the GPX. That was a victory in itself. We headed to GZ and I drove past the gate and drove quite a bit up the track before it got too mucky. We donned our jackets and hats and lights and headed off into the dark. A short walk later we were at GZ. TG made the find and we were greeted with a blank log book, boom my 299th {FTF}. We decided to head up to grab the next one. We chose a path and headed up.
Thanks for the cache.
