Found while spending a few days near Renmark, hoping to knock off a few of the Wandering Hero and On Your Bike Series while we are here. TFTC, Its great to have so many caches to be able to find
It had us thinking for a while, when a previous log helped to look somewhere different, and there is was. TFTC
Found on second attempt as there were to many muggles around the first attempt.TFTC
Day three of a short trip to SA with ConnieandRick.Today was grabbing high terrain/difficulty On Your Bike caches closer to Loxton.Lovely blue skies all day, but very windy later in the afternoon.Back in Loxton, we grabbed a few odd caches before our Pizza.DNFed this one way back in 2022. Today it was a much faster find.Glad to turn this into a smilie. Thanks, Robmc.
Robmc and I are staying in town to do mostly OYB, but some others too. After our second day out west, we came back a bit early and did some of the ones in Loxton. Thanks for this one, it was a quick find.
TFTC still not sure tortoises or turtles. Just a baby, maybe we can tell when he grows up
TFTC. With JLWE 2024 in Lameroo finished we headed to the Riverland for a couple days of caching before heading home.Happy caching and safe travels!
Havent done a poster girl cache for a while. Wattle cachers think up next for hides! No pen so photo taken of the log
Thanks crane2 for the cache and maintenance. I believe turtle. Out with makingpie. Like the container.

While waiting for our car to be serviced we found a few caches around town. This was one of them. FP for the cache host.
Turtle guardian. So cute. What a pretty area. Liked all the tree carvings.
Will need to check and replace. Should be an easy find, so all these DNFs indicate that it’s gone.
Day 2 of a weekend away in Loxton with some special people to celebrate my birthday and find a few caches
Although we couldn’t find this one, there was plenty more to be found today. In fact, we went on to find over 50 caches for the day.
TFTC crane2

Day six of our short South Australian trip with BettyBoo3747 and the geo-doggies.
A nice day, so we unloaded the deadly treadlies and rode around Loxton to some mixed results.
That is a sizable hill out off the river flats to the town.
Looked around a bit, and thought we knew what we should be looking for, but at GZ it seems a tree has been lopped too low to make a carving, or indeed to hide a cache.
A DNF for us today.
Thanks, Robmc.

Day 6 of our Vic/SA trip with Robmc the geodogs and our bicycles. With the day dawning bright and sunny as we had hoped we continued with our plan for this to be a full riding day around town with the doggies in tow. Mind you the wind was bitterly cold most of the day. Some history and some great views along the river. Apart from the smilies and the AdLab we had a couple of DNFs and a couple unattempted.
Another DNF - frustrating. At this place you either find it or you don't it seems. However it looks like a new lopping might have taken place recently - maybe the cache went with that, or like quite a few others, we have been cache-blind today.

Out n about with ILT on our first full day in Loxton. Love the sculptures and a quick find here. Thanks for the hide.
Found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
On our way to the On Your Bike Series and picked up a few along our route.
Thanks, for contributing to our fun today.

Lovely day for finding a few caches, just a lazy drive from Swan Reach to Renmark and a few stops along the way.
Thanks for the cache.
Really enjoyed this .

We are finally able to travel interstate without heaps of loops to jump through. We thought we would take it easy and have a look around South Australia and grab a few more LGA's while we were here.
Out for a morning run while staying at the caravan park. I wondered where these were, I will need to bring may wife here later. It took a little bit of searching to find the cache. but I have signed the new log
This was find number 5 for the day.

Day 5: SA/Vic Christmas holiday trip
Last Christmas holidays, fitzy_1965 and I (along with two geo-kids, Death Killer & my_name_jeff_1) headed to SA to visit family whilst we could, and to collect as many counties and caches as possible along the way. We decided even before getting home that we needed to go back. The added incentive of more On You Bike series sealed the deal. Fast forward through 2021 (because who wants to remember that), and here we are again. This time with extra company in the form of Sol de lune, Smittengranny and albida33.
At the start of today, we collected some caches around Loxton before venturing a little further afield for the Around the World series and solved puzzles in the area. This was exhausting in the heat of the day and the dust of the roads, but we made all the finds we went looking for. At the end of the day, we made the decision to pack up a day early and head back across the border to do the Paddle Steamer…..and to air conditioned accommodation instead of continuing to camp in tents!
All caches were signed as FAMSS and were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

26,212. Found with minniek, Sol de Lune, Smittengranny and albida33 during our post Christmas / New Year trip over to South Australia and Victoria to tackle the On Your Bike and Paddle Steamer series among many other caches.
Today we started by finding some caches around Loxton, then went for the Around The World series and some more solved puzzles. A lot of the Multis were certainly hard work, but all were found - sometimes using the appropriate TOTT - unless otherwise stated. Signed as FAMSS. This was another long hot day.
When minniek and I were in South Australia in January this year (2021) doing the On Your Bike series of (then) 100 Wherigo caches, we were talking to the CO who mentioned that a whole lot more were soon to be published, and they were - 512 more ! So once back home we set about solving all those new ones which was at least something to do during 'stay at home' orders effecting us. Then once they were all solved we planned a trip over to grab them. Then just to add to the fun the latest 152 were published just in time for us to spend time solving them all so we could get the whole set. With our caching friends Sol de Lune, Smittengranny and albida33 this series was our main aim, but with the 'Around the World in 81 caches' series, various solved puzzles and the Paddle Steamer as standby if we got the time.
We managed some BIG days caching and finished off the On Your Bike series in three days, then attempted the mammoth 'Around the World in 81 caches' series and some lovely high/rare D/T caches - all in searing summer heat peaking at over 40 degrees ! Once they were finally completed we headed over to the Mildura region for another two blistering hot days doing the Paddle Steamer series. After camping for five nights we finally relented and got hotel rooms for the last two nights and worked the air conditioning to the bone.
All in all an amazingly fun time was had, and we have all made room in our calendars for when the next part of the On Your Bike series is published - no pressure ! Highlights included many of the fun tree climbs, the pole caches which increased our skills at the recovery and replacements of those styled caches, and the relaxed times and banter around the camp site at the end of each tiring day - including New Years Eve !
Thanks to all the COs for contributing their caches to our fun times, and I must apologise for the generic logs as we did find well over one thousand caches which now require logging !

The decision was made to joined in the South Australia tour to hit up the On Ya Bike series with fitzy_1965, Minniek, Smittengranny and Albida33 (who had driven up from his Christmas visit to Adelaide). After getting across the SA border with only a stop for one of us to be (re) tested, we headed to our camping area at Loxton and set up camp.
Day 4 on the series trail dawned and once we had finished those On Ya Bike caches in this area we set about cleaning up a few other caches. The OTD August series was the first to be hit as the lure of 31 large caches was too much to ignore. While some of the caches have obviously been replaced, it was good to see the majority are still the original container. Of course, while grabbing that series of caches, we also passed many others that we stopped for, including a few back in Loxton All caches were found without issue, apart from the 41 degree temp we encounted, and all were signed as FAMSS for fitzy_1965, Albida33, Minniek, Smittengranny and Sol de Lune.
Thanks to all the CO’s of the caches in this area and of course thanks for adding to the fun of our 7 adventure/road trip.

This morning our numbers are diminished as Minniek and Fitzy_1965 have already done #1 to #100 of the On Your Bike series, so Sol de Lune , Albida33 and I set off early to try and beat the heat. We had a really good run and all 100 caches were found by lunch time. Thanks again for this series SAGEO_5 It is great to find such a mixture of D/Ts to add to our calendar. All logs were signed SAS.
On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC crane2

Picking up a few caches around Loxton before heading further west. Each was easy enough to find along with ilook4geo and both names were soon noted on the log before all was returned to place and we were on our way again. Thank you to crane2 for placing this cache.
Went looking for a few local caches around Loxton with goingplaces2. Found each one with no problems and were happy to sign each log before we moved on. TFTC.
A plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to attack some of the caching trails down in VIC/SA. With the boarders slowly staying open we thought Easter might be a safe time to try since the QLD boarder was still too fragile to attempt going to the MEGA and it also looked like it could be rather wet there.
Our team “The Mob” consisted of GoodLook, LíB, Rapidlywild, The Drovers, feathertop and ourselves. This team ended up being very productive and some new friendships were made. Always a bonus in my book. All logs were stamped with “The Mob” to save space and time.
After completing all the trails, we had set out to do and a couple more for good measure it was time for this mob to go its separate ways.
It was now time to head home after doing numerous trails while in the area a great caching adventure. We decided to pick up ones around Loxton before leaving.
Another quick find here.
Thanks for the hide crane2 and for the fun Rapidlywild

For the first time in a long time, it was road trip time. With COVID-19 keeping everyone at home for so long, the borders were finally opening and the feet were itchy for a decent caching trip. Plans were made with FurfacesLL to do a 10 day road trip across to Mildura and Loxton to do a heap of caching and we were excited. Across the 10 days we racked up over 4,300km in driving, multiple hotels/motels, brought home enough red dust to create our own sand pit in the back yard and collected over 1800 finds between us. It was a massive trip and lots of fun was had.
We teamed up with GoodLook, FeatherTop, The Drovers and LiB and signed most logs as "The Mob". There were a few caches which were signed as individual team names as some teams had already completed said caches, those will be noted individually.
Our target caches were the Turtle Series, the Paddle Steamer Series and the On Ya Bike wherigo Series, heaps of other caches were also collected along the way but our primary target caches were completed which made us all very happy and very tired geocachers.
With the Turtle done, the PS Series done, the On Ya Bike done, the TdU & TdF done as well as the Riddlers done, our targeted caches has been accomplished. With the teams now split and it was back to FurfacesLL and myself, we had heaps to choose from. Today was cleaning up around Loxton and making our way over to Mildura for the night, before making our way back towards Wagga tomorrow.
A nice quick find here, now onto the next find for the day.
Thanks for the hides crane2 And thanks FurfacesLL for a trip to remember [^].

Tankengine and I were on our way from Tailem Bend to Berri today.
We had plans to pick up a few caches here and there, concentrating on only a special few as we didn't have time to do whole power trails or clear out towns.
This cache: Quick find. More buried than under rocks. Good condition though. Tftc crane2!!!

Leaving Geelong on Monday and travelled up to Nhill, next morning back on the road with the caravan behind which makes it a little harder to cache along the way but on arrival the van was quickly placed on site and we were off in search of a few local caches in the company of Phetlern, suscoe and au.fait.
This is a great area.

Out and about around Loxton, in the very good company of fellow "Geelong" cachers, Au.fait, Bushfire and Suscoe, after they had set up camp for our planned riverland rendevous.
We have admired the carvings but they seem a little removed from GZ.
Our thanks to 'crane2' for placing this cache for us to find.

A day of many, many geocaches! The target series was SAGEO_5's *On Your Bike* Wherigo power trail series, and it was an early morning start meeting at Loxton with a group of keen Geocachers. Once that trail was completed, Tardis Trio and I then did the Fishy Tales Wandering Heroes series, and it was pleasing that both series geocaches were all found with generally good coordinates. It was then a return trip home via some of the back roads via Pyap West and Caliph, to then be back on the main Karoonda Highway. A few miscellaneous Wandering Heroes caches and some of the Lost Wandering Heroes waypoints completed the day. It wasn't planned to be a day for a big finds number, but The_Tardis_Trio was keen on finding more than 150 for a Victorian challenge, so with the 100 and 35 caches from the two initial power trails, it became easy to achieve the target. A perfect day to be outside weatherwise, with many stumpy lizards found sunbaking on the roads and in the scrublands, with only one large brown snake seen slithering across a road.
This cache was the second cache found whilst driving into Loxton. A quick park and run in/out to retrieve. Thankfully this didn't take long to find. Cache and logbook all good, thanks crane2.

Up in Loxton for the weekend to attend an event and do the On your bike series. This was our second attenpt at this, the first a couple of years ago, saw us looking at the hint too litterally and we didn't have much time, and it was late...actuaally our hearts weren't in it and we weren't in the mood... This time it was a fairly quick find, then we took a walk through the sculptures. Awesome! and something else that caching has allowed us to see. A favourite for bring us to this spot! TFTC
