Veni, Vidi, ViciHaving finally unlocked premium, its time to catch up on logs. Visiting Adelaide with the Gcrew (BFMC, Bushfire, Dromaniax, Jtreetrack2, Neville_Devil, Quickhealer2 and SimsFamily) for a mega adventure. Thanks to all the Cache Owners for their caches, we had a very busy, but very enjoyable couple of days in Adelaide and surrounds targeting a D/T loop in a day and whatever other caches took our fancy. No rest for the wicked on this trip.
I took my first ever trip on a plane to Adelaide to cache with G-Crew (BFMC, Bushfire, Dromaniax, Jtreetrack2, Quickhealer2 and SimsFamily) for a mega leap day adventure. After months of planning and puzzle solving we hired a minivan and set off on a mission to find as many caches as we could on our leap day adventure with the main goal of completing a Dt loop in a day. We started off by working our way down to Victor Harbour via the coast, then worked our way back to Adelaide via the inland route chasing different types, sizes, JASMER's, unusal D/T's, earthcaches, virtuals and more. Thanks to all the CO's who have placed and maintained all of the caches we found on this trip, I had a great time.
A couple of days off work so we can visit the City of Churches for the Great Leap Forward MEGA. The G-Crew met up at Adelaide Airport and all piled in to the Hyundai Staria Im pretty sure Staria means not that comfortable and be prepared to slide around in your seat. The G-Crew (BFMC, Bushfire, Dromaniax, JTreeTrack2, Neville_devil, Quickhealer2 and Sims-family) have prepared for months and are ready to go. Puzzles have been solved, target caches listed, spare caches ready we are to get a Leap Day fizzy grid in SA. 7 Cachers checkToTTs checkCold drinks checkEnough time hopefully. All logs were signed or stamped with the G-Crew name to save time and space in the logs.Thank you all the CO's for the contributions and ongoing maintenance. We had a very tiring caching party. Sorry for the generic log but with 100+ logs to write I'll never catch up if I don't, my logs have been at 8 months unloved so have had plenty to catch up on.
Well the big day is here, we are finally in Adelaide after weeks of planning . The G-Crew (BFMC, Bushfire, Dromaniax, JTreeTrack2, Neville_devil, Quickhealer2 and Sims-family) has some pretty intense goals that requires a very long day and no sleep to achieve. The last few weeks the message group has been awash with many many messages as we worked though all the puzzles in order to achieve our main goal of a full D/T loop in a day.We loaded the Hyundai Staria (Was meant to be a KIA Carnival, Not an upgrade ) with all the ToTTs we though or hoped we would need in order to achieve our goals. All logs were signed or stamped with the G-Crew name to safe time and space in the logs.Thank you all the CO's for the contributions and ongoing maintenance. We had a blast and sorry for the generic log but with so many logs to write I'll never catch up if I don't.
According to Google I have lived for 21 leap years + but how many more we do not know but the SA Leap Forward Mega has been and gone and what a great event. Our very lofty goal, completing a full D/T Matrix on a leap day. The G-Crew (BFMC, Bushfire, Dromaniax, JTreeTrack2, Neville_Devil, Quickhealer2 and Sims-family) have descended on Adelaide with some seriously caching goals as our sole objective, to be achieved at the expense of almost everything else (including sleep). We have to say a great big thanks to all the cache owners for looking after these caches for us to find. The hire cars had a big work out with all the gear and TOOLS that we thought we may require. We have decided to target as many of Project-GCs Leap Day badge extensions as possible, with the primary objective of completing a fizzy grid in a day.One of my first Megas was in SA in I think 2014 ( Murray Bridge) but as there, just so many caches of most D/T combos it made sense to target this Mega. We had a list of solved caches that gave a great starting point for our assault but distance was also a problem but I think we made our objective irrespective a great time was had even if we do not make our objective. Thanks to all the S.A. cachers for placing these caches and keeping them on the playing field.
The G-Crew (BFMC, Bushfire, Dromaniax, JTreeTrack2, Neville_devil, Quickhealer2 and Sims-family) have descended on Adelaide with some seriously lofty caching goals as our sole objective, to be achieved at the expense of almost everything else (including sleep). With a minivan loaded with Cachers & TOTT, hopefully, time is the only thing that stands in our way. With 2024 presenting us with a leap day, we have decided to target as many of Project-GCs Leap Day badge extensions as possible, with the primary objective of completing a fizzy grid in a day. South Australia became the logical choice due to the Mega event and the fertile, largely uncached grounds it provides for our team. Many months of planning and puzzle-solving (from simple to downright diabolical) have gone into this trip. Our selected matrix has evolved over time to account for other ongoing objectives. Fortunately, BFMC had a list of solved caches that gave a great starting point for our assault, but the many, many hours and many more group chat messages since we started planning this in 2023 have brought us to this point. All physical caches were either stamped or signed as G-CREW to save both time and log space. Thanks to all the COs who have placed and maintained these caches!Thank you, kaptn, for this Traditional cache.
What an amazing adventure through Adelaide. This was my first time to Adelaide and we had a very long day driving and grabbing as many caches as possible. Our very lofty goal, completing a full D/t Matrix on a leap day.Apologies for the generic log, but with so many caches we got today, we didnt have much time to log them as we grabbed them.We had no issues with any containers or hides, and all were in good condition, and well maintained.I was part of G-Crew as we tackled our list, we hired a seven seater van and drove all around Adelaide. The members of our hunt were Dromaniax, BFMC, and JTreeTrack2 who did their fair share of driving and route planning, Sims_family who was on recon and puzzle solving, Neville_devil our fearless high altitude cacher, and myself Quickhealer2.We have been planning this adventure for about 10 weeks, puzzle solving, route planning, and it all came down to the big day and we did so much.I was very lucky to be invited into G-Crew, and with all of our skills and strengths we got our task doneEach log was signed or stamped G-Crew, and I thank all the CO's for maintaining their caches through the chaos of this Mega eventthanks again for the adventureQuickhealer2
Hi kaptn, We found your 1.0 1.5 Small Traditional strange park on 29/2/2024.Find 2810 for BFMC.Dashed here whilst waiting for our pizza order. A quick find under a search by headlamp. A mearby pupper detected and announced our presence so we quickly signed and decamped. The G-Crew have descended on Adelaide with some seriously lofty caching goals as our sole objective, to be achieved at the expense of almost everything else (including sleep). As the song goes " strange days indeed ". Out and about with Gum Ako in Adelaide for a days geocaching, tftc.
Found late at night on way home from my Mum's who had a phone issue. Technology and 85yr olds don't mix well, poor thing. Anyhow sorted and decided to find one nearby, this being it.TFTC SL

Driving around Adelaide just doing some random caches, like ones in the park so it was good to grab this one. Thanks kaptn for bringing me here and contributing to this great game for others to enjoy. Happy trails, Deanside
Nice park.I am a bit long in the tooth to be getting on hands and knees. Will have to return with younger people.
With a bit of searching and a helpful light we soon had this one in hand. TFTC
Out finding caches for the Sept challenge. Took a few minutes but we found it. TFTC kaptn11
Southern Autumn adventure Day 23. Blackwood SA trip Day 4. My time in Adelaide started with a walk to the shops and then a bit of a break until it was time to head out for a mid day caching outing to the south of Adelaide on the plains. I had listed twenty caches to day, but barely managed ten with several DNFs. It is good to see new caches in amongst the areas I have visited before and now I have also worked out a few puzzles there are even more to do.
I was a little confused by the clue until I reached the back of this park and then it all became clear. The cache was nicely waiting to be found.
Thanks for the cache kaptn

It is a strange little park! Beautiful space though! Quick find and sign and then replaced. Tftc.
Out and about today and I decided to check the map to see what was nearby.
I find myself with time to kill so I stopped by here for a find.
Many thanks to kaptn for placing and maintaining strange park. I found it, I signed it, and put it back as found.

After the Freddo Vietnamese event I went out for some caches in the suburbs on foot around Norwood and St Peters, then some down south.
A quick find here today.
Cache retrieved and signed.
Thanks kaptn11 for this cache.

The thought's of those who served our country are remembered and missed.
They shall grow not old,
as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun
and in the morning
We will remember them.
Lest We Forget.

TFTC! Added a few trinkets. My suggestion for you is that this cache could be a bigger container! Don’t limit yourself to a mint tin- this hiding place could comfortably take at least a sistema container, adding lots more room for swaps.
The photo I took attempts to replicate one taken from the same spot two years ago. Interesting to see how it’s changed!

Quickly figured out where to look after looking at the hint but couldn't find it until. We poked an area near the bridge with a stick and brought out a container, turns out that was it. TFTC! Amazing hiding spot.
Have trolled under many bridges while geocaching but couldn't see this one.
